Kamen Rider Kabuto Episode 1

I think that was a great first episode to start the season. We jump immediately into action so I guess this will be a more fast-paced season in comparison to Agito. I first thought the luggage has been switched out in the train station scene but apparently not? And cool plot twist with the second but unauthorized rider who basically steals the suit. Didn’t expect that but since two belts exist I guess we’ll have two riders later on or at least a conflict between the two who ultimately will be the rider? Idk I’m just guessing here. Also I like that the monsters are costumes and not CGI I know that they are in some season but costumes monsters always look cooler imo

love how Eui Ju's mind works - her web-novel chapters r hilarious & u can see how much fun the actors r having playing her imaginary character's (well u know what i mean). i wish there was more of them going ham on the imaginary scenes - they so much fun to watch. & even though a lot fo people dislike Eui Ju's brother - cause of him she got to see her mains taking a romantic walk at night lol - pity the news of Ga U Su possibly moving to the US dumped a bucket of cold water all over her burning heart. poor smitten girl, not enough her bff is acting like the typical mean-girl all cause she isn't capable of having a normal conversation with her crush so she's butthurt at Eui Ju. ********************************************************************have said this in the past & will say it again that principal is funny but also hella annoying & i don't like her, am glad that Ga U Su stood-up for that troubled student. it's rare to find teacher's that actually care for their students, let alone ones that want to make a difference & go out of their way to help.

Absolute Value of Romance Episode 9

the 6th chapter of her book was hilarious i laughed so hard cause of it & it's sweet how she is crushing on Ga U Su, ironic given how she couldn't stand him from the sec they met. but also kinda logical cause he might be strict & a bit OCD about math's but he is a good person & teacher. so not shocked that by the end she realized she had a major crush on him - very sweet. pity the friend was the fly in the ointment - idk why she needed to get petty & mean like that but expected to teen girls all those hormones can drive anyone crazy lol - still didn't like she interrogated Eui Ju, so i hope Eui Ju isn't the one that needs to work at making them friends again.

This episode was so good! It had emotional weight, action, and above all—it gave us so much information for future theories and existing links between characters. For example, the Alluring Ghost learned her appearance transformation skills from ZZS’s master. And then there's Chengling’s story about Uncle Rong Xuan—there is definitely a link between him and WKX. Could he be his father? I suspected episodes ago that Master Gao should have known him, and WKX’s attitude towards the Five Lakes Alliance (especially Master Gao) just links it all together! 🤔But the most precious moment of this episode was the final part: ZZS finally accepting Chengling as his disciple. Now they are the only two members of Four Seasons Mountain Villa. Yeeey! 🤗

After Lady Gu was denied divorce from Mr Gu, she asked if he married her for love or her family’s money and he snidely asked her which did she think? This was the last strike of grief that broke her spirit. She spent the day with her children and asked JinZhao to call her mother. JinZhao wasn’t ready yet and even her brother wanted to know why she couldn’t make such a small concession. She couldn’t put into words the years of hurt and denial she was still working through. Sometime during the night, Lady Gu chose to hang herself and end things. The point they wanted to drive home was that her own grief and broken heart killed her. With her family finally around her it boggles my mind that she opted out before seeing things through to repair her relationship with JinZhao. Gu was shaken with the fallout from his actions. He liked her feeling small and insecure about herself so he could indulge himself with her family’s wealth and cater to his second family. He finally felt her blood on his hands and knew judgment was coming. JinZhao grabbed some scissors and was ready to cut his heart out. She vented her rage calling him by name directly and had to be restrained. Gma Ji soundly slapped him and declared the concubine the mourner for her daughter’s grave. She was to spend the rest of her life there. Ye Xian and his sister show up to pay their respects. She wanted her brother to toss away any ideas of marriage with JinZhao. He used the visit to kneel and pay respects like he would for his own mother. He was so sure she’d been murdered he promised JinZhao he would help her find the killer and take care of them. He completely excluded Lan from any notice so this will most likely be used to further alienate the sisters and stir vengeful feelings. Lord Chen shows up to pay his respects and get a bead on the turmoil in the Gu household. When the servants showed up with the household ledgers, they did not expect someone so young to have accounting skills. She proved she knew when there were mistakes or fraud with the sums and they realized a true accounting was to be their future. Ye Xian was in trouble with sister for showing such respect to one of lower class. While she was complaining about bringing him along, he reminded her that her reason was to prove JinZhao off limits as possible bride. His mentor had a chat with him about how Lady Gu really died, and that until he found a means to secure his own house, he could not hope to help JinZhao with hers. Gma Ji condemned Gu for charging her daughter with fake accusations and let him know he wasn’t getting by with it. Lan has not registered yet that her use of nanny Zhou’s last plot was responsible for stirring up this calamity. I would hope she regrets her recklessness and tries to make amends, but it is more likely they will make her act vengeful and unrepentant. Gma Ji is going to take her daughter home for burial and Yao will stay to assist JinZhao. I had hoped JinZhao would go home with them and reside in Tongzhou. I have no clue how Gu will act after this, but it’s very clear he will be held accountable and his house put in order by Ji family. The siblings could have been a united front to weather the storm of this, but it’s unlikely they will be allowed this small comfort. Yao will definitely align with JinZhao. Rong will have to choose between sisters or father. Lan and JinZhao should ally to get their father in line with Gma’s help but they have been too busy making Lan a selfish brat. Waiting to see the aftermath of Lan’s plot to get out of marriage and if gma Ji can salvage the reputations of the grandchildren.

A Splendid Match Episode 1

First ImpressionEpisode one wasted absolutely no time pulling me in. Between the family drama, political tension, and the female lead immediately proving she’s not someone who quietly accepts her fate, this was such a strong opening.Episode ThoughtsWe’re introduced to a female lead who was abandoned by her father and sent away to be raised by her grandmother from a young age. Their relationship is practically nonexistent, and honestly? Episode one makes it very clear why she harbours so much resentment toward him.The opening scenes surrounding her coming-of-age ceremony already set the tone perfectly. Her cousin has to practically beg her father to attend, and his response is basically: pay me and I’ll consider it. The audacity 😭Instead of quietly accepting the humiliation, she completely snaps and burns the fortune that was meant to be used to bribe him into attending. And honestly? Iconic behaviour. The fact that she uses the lantern being carried by the male lead during their very first interaction makes the scene even more memorable. You can already tell he’s intrigued by her because she’s unlike anyone he’s probably encountered before.Things escalate further when she drunkenly goes boating through the estate grounds after arguing with her grandmother about the reality of their family situation. That entire sequence was SO good. She stumbles into what appears to be an ambush involving the male lead and a corrupt prince, only for the tables to completely turn when the male lead reveals just how dangerous and capable he really is.Then comes the dramatic fall into the water 😭 for a second the drama genuinely lets you think he might leave her there because she’s witnessed something she probably shouldn’t have. But of course this is episode one, so naturally he rescues her… while also trying to conceal his identity and involvement because clearly there’s far more going on politically around him than we currently understand. The coming-of-age ceremony itself turning into the male lead’s imperial celebration was honestly painful to watch from her perspective 😭 she was already dealing with the disappointment of her father, only to then be completely overshadowed at her own event. And THEN her father arrives… not with her mother, but with his concubine instead. The disrespect never ends in this family. But what I absolutely loved is that the female lead refuses to play the obedient noble daughter role. She’s intelligent, sharp-tongued, and fully capable of using the situation to her advantage. The verbal destruction she delivers to her father in front of everyone was one of the best scenes of the episode. When she asks him:“What title do you have now? What position?”AFTER he abandoned her for fifteen years because of some prophecy claiming she’d ruin his future? Oh she absolutely ended him 😭 because despite throwing his daughter away for the sake of his career… he still hasn’t achieved anything meaningful.Beautiful. Truly beautiful. We’re also introduced to another prince who immediately becomes intrigued by her because she’s clearly not the typical noble lady society expects her to be. You can already tell there’s going to be a lot more political and emotional chaos coming.Character NotesFemale Lead: Easily the standout of episode one. She’s proud, intelligent, emotional, reckless at times, but incredibly strong. I love that she refuses to quietly endure humiliation.Male Lead: Calm, calculating, and already surrounded by danger and political intrigue. He clearly has hidden layers and secrets, but his interest in the female lead is already starting to form.Father: Absolutely terrible 😭 every scene with him somehow made him worse.Second Prince: His curiosity toward the female lead immediately adds another interesting dynamic.Final ThoughtsThis was a genuinely strong premiere episode. The pacing was excellent because it managed to establish the family history, political conflicts, romantic intrigue, and character personalities without feeling overwhelming. The acting was solid across the board, and the chemistry and tension are already starting to build naturally.Definitely excited for episode two.Favourite MomentThe female lead verbally destroying her father in front of everyone after fifteen years of abandonment. Deserved.Trope Check* Strong female lead 🏮* Political intrigue* Family betrayal* Hidden identity* First meeting fate moment* Slow burn setup* Dangerous male lead* Noble society drama* Palace politics* “I’m not your obedient daughter” energy ✨

The Petrichor series keeps you interested because of how naturally the story unfolds. The pacing feels steady, and the tension builds without forcing dramatic moments every few minutes. The characters feel believable, with emotions and decisions that make sense instead of existing only to move the plot forward. One of the strongest parts of the series is the atmosphere. Every scene carries a quiet intensity that matches the title well. The cinematography and soundtrack work together to create a mood that feels heavy, emotional, and reflective. The show does not rely on exaggerated twists alone. Instead, it focuses on relationships, personal struggles, and the slow reveal of deeper conflicts. The cast also delivers strong performances. The emotional scenes feel sincere, and the chemistry between characters makes the important moments more effective. Even the quieter conversations hold weight because the acting feels natural.Overall, 10000/10 Petrichor stands out as a series that values storytelling, mood, and character depth. It feels emotionally grounded, visually polished, and easy to stay invested in from episode to episode.

I cried during the ring exchange scene in episode 2 because it felt so genuine and emotional. Yichen being the first to say “I love you” even though he fell later made the moment even more powerful. When he cried, I cried too because the emotions felt so real through the screen.Another heartbreaking scene was when Yichen begged his brother for a chance to see Lufeng again while, at the same time, Lufeng kept writing letters and trying everything possible to reunite with him. Even after years apart, their feelings for each other never changed, and you can truly feel how deep their connection is.

I have watched over 500 BLs and this is honestly one of the most addictive ones I have seen in years. What made Yichen and Lufeng stand out immediately was that their relationship was not the typical soft natural romance, it was obsessive, possessive, emotionally intense, and that is exactly why I could not stop watching. Their chemistry feels insane in every scene and the acting made every emotion hit even harder. The ring exchange scene and the separation storyline completely broke me, especially knowing they spent years apart while still loving each other just as deeply. This drama balances obsession, heartbreak, romance, and longing so perfectly that every episode leaves you wanting more. China really delivered a masterpiece with this BL.

Fast-paced, entertaining, and a solid set-up for both of our lead characters: Shin Seo-ri and Cha Se-gye (whose names put together mean A New World aka Shin Se Gye, which I think is cute). Se-gye reminds me of the classic kdrama chaebol trope. He's violent, ill-tempered, and spoiled, but he's also capable at his job, and his stunned reaction to Consort Kang humanized him just enough to make him fairly entertaining to watch. We know just enough of Consort Kang to really feel for her throughout the episode, but there's a lot to her past that I'm still interested in seeing. Clearly, the show is trying to portray her as a misunderstood villain rather than an all out villainess, and while that may be disappointing to some people, I think she still has all the likable qualities of a villainess: unafraid to speak her mind, stubborn in getting what she wants, and uncaring of anyone else's opinion of her.I laughed at the reference to the "how to date a chaebol" trend that went viral on Korean SNS a while ago. I think the humor thus far is landing pretty well, thanks to both Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam Jun, and I'm looking forward to how their chemistry and scenes go from here.

Well, It wasn't the worst episode as everyone states. It was good episode. But you can say it was the weakest episode of the series so far. But that happens. I am pretty sure that the next 3 episodes will be good. But I do hope they don't rush the ending. As they still haven't resolved the cause of the car accident for both Huiju as well as Grand Prince's mother. I say this episode was weakest due to plot-holes. But let see whether the upcoming episodes will manage to fill in the holes.Anyways good episode.
