is Akira losing his eye sight?!? idk why but that's the vibe i got at the end. anyway regarding this ep - cute, a lot of good looking guys & there is a spark between the mains. even though i wondered if Akira really saw Kanata, when their eye's met. or was it one sided & only Kanata noticed Akira. **********************************************************************************************also i don't really get Kanata angst or yearning to be with Akira at the end. i get why he is jealous of his younger sibling & being mean to him - he is frustrated that his younger sibling is better then him or got recognized for his talent. it would rub anyone the wrong way - especially when they younger then u & have been at the sport less time. so i get why he being a "mean girl" but idk - his already relying on or turning to Akira seems a bit out of the blue **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: Mizuki is cute & all, but the contacts r freakin distracting, they the only thing i notice when she's on screen. they so big & black there scenes where u can't see the white of her eyes & makes me wonder is she supposed to portray a demon? very weird look -

Choosing Her Own Path

First ImpressionThis episode made me such a fan of the FL — strong, emotional, and completely sure of herself.Episode ThoughtsThis episode really leans into character growth, especially for the female lead. We see the aftermath of everything that’s happened, including the male lead realising the consequences of his actions and beginning to understand just how much his choices have affected her.One of the most emotional moments comes when the Grand Tutor finds the female lead and asks her to become his goddaughter. While it’s partly because the male lead requested it, it’s clear he genuinely cares for her. What I loved here is how the FL responds — she doesn’t just accept out of convenience. She makes it clear she wants to stand on her own and that no one can protect her forever. But when she realises his sincerity, she accepts with respect and emotion, which made the moment even more meaningful. At the same time, the FL makes a big decision not to follow the ML into battle. Instead, she chooses her own mission — to rescue Manager Yu and Bao Er for her sister. There’s a slight lack of communication between them, and you can feel the ML’s insecurity creeping in. Their heart-to-heart is subtle but important. She basically tells him that if she didn’t care, she wouldn’t have gone to such lengths for him. And when he goes into full protective mode, she gently reminds him that she wouldn’t be herself if she relied on him to fight her battles. I loved that balance — he wants to protect her, but he’s also starting to understand her.We also get more insight into Qin Min. Back home, tensions are high with his “father,” and it’s clear there’s something deeper going on. He doesn’t seem interested in the throne, just revenge, and his suspicion toward Manager Yu adds another layer of intrigue.Meanwhile, Bao Er and Zhao Xun are on the run, with assassins chasing them. The rescue scene by the ML was emotional, especially when Bao Er calls him “uncle” and breaks down in his arms. Later, we see the ML quietly piecing together the truth about Qin Min, which sets up future conflict. Then there’s Mr Sun
trying his best to win back favour with the Royal Princess, only to completely sabotage himself later by admitting things he probably shouldn’t have. That whole situation was equal parts funny and painful.Overall, this episode balances emotion, character development, and plot progression really well. It feels like everything is slowly falling into place while also setting up even bigger problems ahead.Character NotesThe female lead absolutely shines here. She’s strong, emotionally intelligent, and refuses to rely on anyone else to define her path. The male lead is starting to understand her more, but you can still see his instinct to protect overriding everything. The Grand Tutor adds warmth and sincerity, and his bond with the FL feels genuine.Qin Min is becoming more intriguing and dangerous, while Mr Sun continues to be unintentionally chaotic.Bao Er’s emotional moment really stood out and added depth to the story.Final ThoughtsThis episode is all about choices — who to trust, what path to take, and how to stand on your own. I loved seeing the FL take control of her story. It definitely has me excited (and slightly nervous) for what’s coming next.Favourite MomentThe FL accepting the Grand Tutor as her godfather — strong, emotional, and completely earned.Trope CheckFound family, strong female lead, protective ML, miscommunication, rescue moment, emotional reunion, hidden identities, political intrigue

Such a good episode! It was so beautiful to see Hong Si A's dreams getting supported by her mom! And the scene with Hong Si A and Hong Dae Yeong was so emotional and perfect!I still don't understand how Hong Dae Yeong's family doesn't realize that his voice has changed on calls, how does that make sense? How can they leave us hanging like that at the end though? So excited for the next episode.

this was such a perfect last ep to a really cozy heartwarming 2nd season. this was way better then the 1st season & i enjoyed every moment. i loved the mature love, that we rarely see in character's of Natsume & Toma's age. ******************************yeah other's might be bored by the slow paced romance. but it felt lived in & comfortable - it showed maturity & longevity. ****even though at the start i was wondering will we get a special ep, where we see them back together - but after watching this till the end, i don't see a need as u can see that they will survive any & everything, finally coming back to each other, to continue their happily ever after... this was a perfect 2nd season, if i've ever seen one - i loved it!

Forged in Fire

Marquis of Wu'an forged new blades for CY .I love the symbolism as it's CY new journey started in fire and war adorned with XZ love. But the two lovers separated for their own journey as XZ heading to defense Lu city meanwhile CY heading to save QQ and Boaer. There are heartfelt moments between CY and Grand Tutor, Princess and advisor. As the story progress, XZ saved Boaer from assassins but QQ can't escape from the QM. And we got to see the biggest villains Lord Changxin in this EP. The highlights of the EP should be when CY got hickey, at waterfall date or riverbank farewell???P.S I love the scene where they held funeral ceremony for fallen soldier as it's rare to see in dramas if it's not for main or supporing characters. It's emotional scene for me.

Spicy

Love this episode and how spicy it was. We got a taste of each couple and the intrigue gets hotter and hotter. Throwing Boston in the mix adds another layer of fun and games. Love the colors and change of scenes.

Three Stars

this episode is certainly more "solitary gourmet" than episode 1 but still missing just a little something that makes it so charming
