Underwhelming, bordering on uninteresting

Let's start with pacing of this episode and the show itself - judging by what happened so far. Main characters were introduced and met in-show, had some initial interactions as well and we got the smallest possible glimpse into their background - so most setup elements for a show seem to be there. That's what one could expect from episode 1 of a 12 or 10 episode long show, a "slow burn" type of show. However, this show is supposed to have only 6 episodes, so it should have hit the ground running - establishing characters and launching the main plot. Sadly it didn't. More than that: ep. 1 dragged so much, that I paused it twice to do other stuff. I got bored with a Gemini and Fourth show - and I feel bad because of that.As for the vibe, I knew this won't be another colorful, funny show like MSP - but it's not another "Moonlight Chicken" either. It seems gritty (as it should be), but also somehow empty, almost fake, like there's something missing,Also, I disliked the ending, as it made no sense to me. Imagine you were forced to spend the night under the same conditions as Tan and Barth and woke up in the morning surrounded by other people. You had to wait for a rescue and you got rescued - wouldn't you jump out of that empty pool and say something like "you took your bloody time, we were waiting for someone to show up since last evening"? I would. But not our main characters, who seem to be ashamed, confused and surprised by being rescued - not to mention that the show already implied that everyone else thinks Tan and Barth did something wrong. How? By getting locked up on an abandoned pool? Why would anyone think so?This show starts worse that "My Love Mix-Up!", not to mention MSP and "Moonlight Chicken". It better improves a lot in ep. 2.

Devastating episode

This episode was devastating. Xiao Duo returned to the capital just to have his heart broken and thrown away like trash. Yinlou acted the part of the cold, ambitious, and heartless manipulator perfectly, pretending she used Xiao Duo just for her own benefit… but we all know the truth. She did it to protect him, to chase him away from the palace, and away from all the danger lurking from the Emperor’s side. But did it help? We’ll see. The last scene proved that even while heartbroken, Xiao Duo is still watching her… I hope that’s because he didn’t fully believe her and wants to understand what’s really happening. I actually hope Princess Hede or Tongyun will tell him something, because they know exactly what has happened there.Meanwhile, the Emperor is searching for the cousin. It is only a matter of time until he finds him, and he will probably learn who Yinlou’s real lover is… or at least confirm that the cousin isn’t the one.I really don’t like Yinlou’s father, who uses her only for his own greed and advancement. Intolerable! However, I am actually rather grateful that he blabbed about the Emperor's plans to weaken Xiao Duo's power. This way, Yinlou might just be able to devise a plan of her own!

Could've been a better episode

If they had just taken the peak moment when Huaisong and Yu watch the iron fireworks and just move forward from there with their relationship then this episode would have. been a 10. But instead, the episode spent far, far, far too much time lamenting how sad poor pathetic crybaby Li Shi Can is and trying to build sympathy for him from us viewers. Most of the last 10 minutes of this episode can be skipped.

A beautiful masterpiece

The way the series opens already had me in tears. The entire episode was so beautiful, I loved the way it was filmed so cinematically, each shot was beautiful and the colour grading was perfect. The actors did an amazing job and I could feel all the emotions and cried multiple times watching it. GeminiFourth are really amazing and have amazing chemistry and the way they've portrayed barth and tanrak so well. Barth made me cry a lot and tanrak's eyes delivered every emotion I'm really looking forward to the next episode now!

One Stars

this whole ep was a ton of crap, filler but that ending was a chef's kiss - the sh*t finally hit the fan & i am so here for that. 1st off i found the previous ep's ending hilarious (given everyone reaction to Krit kissing Wayu), but thinking about it - that was a f*cked-up move, cause the main selling point for the Host's in that bar, was the fantasy - that they for X amount of time, were whatever their client wanted them to be. but Kirt kissing Wayu & declaring that they were bf's - basically killed Wayu's selling point. *********************************************************************************************************************************but that was brushed off like nothing, if anything Wayu found it endearing, not overbearing or intrusive, let alone very possessive. & for someone that can't really offer Kirt the same exposure in his own life, he has some gall to act the way he did. also for a while i was wondering WTF happened to Singto, as i doubt his grandmother turned into a loving caring mother figure. & the way the writer's solved it was by having Kirt find Wayu's sister?!? why???? 1st off the dude hasn't solved his own problems (his parents pressuring him & Rose to marry) but he got time to go in search of a woman that was more like her mother, then her brother. in the hopes that she would what? suddenly do what she ran away from before? given what i've seen Wayu's just got another person he gotta support??? as the sec both woman finds a man they gonna revert back to their selsih self. but deep pockets Kirt ready to support him, so it ok? that & the Singto problem is solved?!? given how Kirt is acting it looks like he just wants to put Wayu in a gold cage to take out & play with when he wants.. so that ending was perfect - it forces the truth out in front of his father. & i really don't care what the out come is - i just need them to know what their son is up too. ********************************************************************************************************************************************side note: the way Kirt be throwing around money how is he/his family so rich?!? cops don't make that much money so is his father corrupt? or do they come from money?!? either way his tossing around money like dirt feel so weird like how rich r they!???

The acting of second couple just doesn't…

The acting of second couple just doesn't interest me. Their story could have been really good if done well but anyways I noticed how choppy the editing actually was for this ep, it was so choppy that some things didn't make sense to me even though I could imagine what must have happened. To me the biggest downside was this ep was more focused on the second couple and the story was somewhat repetitive.

The Best GL Of The Season

ENEMIES WITH BENEFITS ep 5 has all "the feels" - up, down, left, right.... Just like a real relationship! Haha haha "Friends with benefits", "situationship", "no label"... Everybody thinks that THAT's convenient? Na-ah!! Eventually, you overthink, you overfeel, you go on overdrive and the FWB status implodes on itself because real feelings start kicking in. EWB episode 5 shows that people are selfish, all right, that's a fact. But human nature is all about nurturing and concern and paying attention and caring for one another.... Wine and Lal as team leaders is a clear reflection of what they are as persons: They aren't self-centered beeyatcherz like New, or insensitive pricks like Proud; they're good people who are sometimes caught in bad circumstances. Like all of us are in the real world, y'know.... So! Lal and Wine are gonna be in for the worst (and hopefully, for the best too), but it looks like they'll be fine. As for the Ciize-Kapook plot twist, it sure seems like THAT will be bad girl vs good girl mayhem, chaotic AF! Haha haha

there’s some guy at the wedding talking to the others like he was apart of the friend+group

did i hate this drama ?YES !oh my GOD that was a horrible marathon i had to put myself through. but i did nejoy this final episode. thank god they didn’t feel the need to keep it running an additional fifteen minutes. not a lot of dramas do that I’m realizing. so my main issue was jesus christ this show was taken hostage by the most insufferable supporting characters. marika & komatsubara existed for the sole purpose of being a detriment & there’s nothing else to say about komatsubara but marika jesus christ. i did gag when she told junpei he was being an advisor & not a lover. but every other scene it’s just vexing vexing vexing it’s not funny it’s annoying 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ yashiro’s wife was ridiculolus. cartoon drama villain. & i don’t revel in seeing yashiro suffer. i don’t think people deserve to be pushed to the brink of suicide. he wasn’t a good man but it’s whatever. i like how he went. he was just an obstacle our couple had to mandatorilly run through ,multiple times ,but eh. i was thinking maybe seeing him fall so far down to needing to be pitied into growth doesn’t connect but i see the merit in it narratively. even if it was like unbearable to get through. i did find his back_story of wanting desperately ro escape poverty really good though. that definiteyl helped humanizing him the most of any detail 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ their pit+falls as a couple sometimes it just felt too convenient to the point that haruna just stops being a character by like the sixth episode. junpei too is just kind’ve a mess. yeah at some point their relationship just becomes okay. i do like his constant meddling in her family+life to lead to his inability to actually listen to what haruna is telling him. like i mentioned the yashiro hospital fiasco was where the nose took a dive. & again every time i think about this i return to how obnoxious the b–ring cast I COULDN’t TAKE IT. the families were okay. the ex±girl+friend was okay. ueno was actually pretty funny but GOD . . . hated having to talk to those CO+WORKERS & CLIENTS 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ this last episode was pretty good to be honest. basically most of the mess is out of the way. we are in the home+stretch with a clear goal. i really enjoyed the—side by side—montage of the both of them giving it their all in their new separate lives post+b–ring. i guess the parents had to be sacrificed for their marriage but dgkowi090i9wi9 it felt nice seeing everypony come full+circle. both families are healing. the pen has new meaning. hell even b–ring chewed 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ I’m just happy it’s over. it really wasn’t so bad yesterday but it lost its way & thje flaws dug its way up. i also don’t think watching it in a healthier manner would’ve changed anything. there was still too fucking much of marika & komatsubara. i loathe gag characters. i loathe gag characters who are made to support the show at every beck & turn. the wedding was cute ,tje ,major dialogue had some parts i didn’t like but the sum was pretty good 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i rewally don’t have much else to say but tamamori. yes i did get emotional when he started applying himself to college like oh my god . . . my oshii wants to go far. yes i love tamamori but he genuinely was a high+light of the show he was fucking hilarious HE WAS. his acting was like mediocre but like yeah i don’t care about that this is a bit part. i will NOT watch this again for him but i will hold his character fondly.

Ep 2 just blows my mind

What I like from ep 2: SPOILER ALERT> the fact that he announced himself as the culprit and his backstory makes me amazed. I never would have thought it would go in that direction. And his backstory makes chairman kang character much more complex> hwang junhyeon wrote “give me Choiseong” in that cheque chairman gave. Fuck I still have goosebump thinking about it. And the character development in chairman kang is nice, with how he regret doing that to hwang. And the line “I never give cheque I can’t cash in” was so fire 🔥> I like that if one of the two dies, the other also dies. I think I’m seeing that for the first time in soul switch trope. Because usually this trope is for kind of laidback story so it’s nice to introduce serious consequences to the plot.> and lmao the comedy has started, I laughed so much when that team leader fell and doused himself in coffee> and the episode ends with another bomb, hwang already starts attacking the twins!!I’m so excited for next week!!!

10 stars no question

What I like from ep 1:- All major characters from his right hand man, his second wife, his children and their spouse is already revealed- Everything is so fast paced, I especially like that the accident took in seconds rather than doing all kind of slowmo and multiple angle capture- Stellar acting from every cast. This is truly one of the foundation in what makes drama good. I like the twin jaekyung-jaesung chemistry. Also like the confrontation between hwang junhyeon and chairman kang. The scene after where junhyeon considering what to do really grips me.- The story from synopsis are already in ep 1 so looking forward to what new plot they would have in ep 2.

Pete is a slimy douche & i wouldn't…

Pete is a slimy douche & i wouldn't trust him as far as i could throw him. so glad, that even though Kirt did help him with the drugs issue, he then f*cked him over with the tax audit - somehow that's way scarier to deal with.... lol. but the f*cker was lying through his teeth & the only reason he wanted to get back with Kirt, was cause Kirt would be useful in the future to solve any problems with the law, his bar would encounter. also the audacity saying Wayu's job would be a problem - Wayu doesn't even kiss his clients, let alone sleep with them. what about "actor" Pete?!? what cause it's acting - that means it's ok?!? plz with the hypocrisy. *****************************************************************************************************************************mentioning Wayu i was a little happy that he was in touch with Mind & they were texting & on a friendly basis. Kirt is justified in his jealousy as Mind really is lowkey flirting with Wyau. sadly nothing is gonna come of it. as we saw after he confessed, broke my heart when he asked Wayu if they could still be friends, that's freakin sad & sorry but i still think he is the better option for Wayu. Kirt might be acting all possessive & he cares in his own way but idk i just aint feeling the romance between them. what's more i just fast-forward their NC scenes TMI for me

Stay true and survive

I can’t even imagine how Yinlou felt when the Emperor actually forced himself on her, attempting to rape her. I am happy she could get out of that by injuring him, however, it came with a cost. In anger over the rejection, he issued a decree that she’s his consort now and that she had served him well in bed. I know what the Emperor was doing there. His whole reason was to bind her and ensure this news reached the ears of her lover. And I have very mixed feelings about how Fang Jiang reacted to this situation. At first, I was quite relieved that he didn’t blame her for staying with the Emperor and not eloping with him, but then—he believed the imperial decree, thinking she hadn’t trusted him enough. I expected better of his character, but I also know what a weakness these emotions can be, especially when someone has been betrayed before. However, I don’t think he thinks Yinlou betrayed him. I think he’s more frustrated by the fact that she didn’t trust in him enough to keep fighting the Emperor longer. But at least he finished the Emperor’s task and will be on his way back to the capital. I really hope he learns the truth very soon and that all the misunderstandings vanish.
