The memories

I loved that Mr. Queen is getting So-Yong's memories. That's really spicing up everything—giving new associations, revealing some secrets, and the best part, of course, having some sympathy and feelings for the King. 🔥So, now I wonder if any of my previous questions could actually turn out to be true? Are both souls now in So-Yong's body? Or maybe always have been? 🤔 It will be very interesting to see how this unfolds. But that secret about the well... The girl who comforted little Cheol-Jong probably was little So-Yong and he fell in love with her since childhood, maybe? But since he cannot really remember, Hwajin just swooped in saying she was the girl there? Could that be why he feels such "love" for her now? Because of those twisted memories? If that's so, everything else that's happening with his heart is just logical. Now, when the layers obscuring the Queen from his heart are slowly disappearing, he is more drawn to her than Hwajin. 😲🤔But I wonder how this romance will end. Because at the moment, Bong-Hwan's personality is what piques the King's interest and curiosity. I am not sure if it would be the same with the real So-Yong. 🤷‍♀️And Hwajin is boiling over how the King now chooses the Queen over her more often. All that jealousy will just cause trouble along the way, I guess. Probably, the same could be said about Byeong-in and his love for So-Yong and jealousy toward the King. 😔

Sudden shift downward in script writing

This episode is a dramatic downturn in script quality over the prior episodes because all of a sudden the writers have both the ML and the FL behaving as stupid and irrational as their surrounding cast of characters. Up until now, both the leads were the pillars of sanity compared to all the loonies around them but suddenly in this episode they both behave like idiots, leading, of course, to misunderstandings and over-reactions. In other words, the writers have leaned heavily into both the 'plot-induced-stupidity' and the 'contrived misunderstanding' tropes just to create some humor and false drama. I really hope this is not a regular occurrence in this show going forward.

Few thoughts about So-Yong's soul

After this episode, I am having a few thoughts about So-Yong's soul. What if her soul has been in her body the whole time, only dormant? What if that moment when she tried to drown herself just pulled her and Bong-Hwan's souls together like a magnet? Because maybe she didn't really want to die, and it was like her last cry for help? And his soul was the only one that "heard" it in the end? 🤔I think in that little moment when the Queen woke up with the King by her side, it was the real So-Yong, not Bong-Hwan. And the reason she could actually get out of her dormant state, even if for that tiny moment, is what is causing the memories to come back? 🤔And could that be the link that pulled Bong-Hwan back into her body again, because the link is way too strong? Otherwise, I don't know why he would get pulled back now if he had already gotten away... I don't know, but everything that's happening is giving me many thoughts. 🤷‍♀️And I really loved to watch our King in that scene where he and the cousin had that argument in the Queen's room. ❤️😏

Souls

A lot happened in this episode, but all I want to talk about now is the cliffhanger. 😲Does that mean Bong-Hwan's body has been unconscious this whole time, and now regaining that consciousness is calling for his soul back? Where's the Queen's soul then? 🤔

The Second Couple’s Chaotic Chemistry

I love the second couple, the crazy and evil Crown Prince and his servant. Their intimate scenes are wild and add a chaotic, exotic energy to the series

China Did It Again Another Addictive Historical BL Masterpiece

China really never misses when it comes to historical BL. This drama has everything, beautiful cinematography, emotional romance, palace betrayal, martial arts, reincarnation, and insane chemistry between Yin Qi and Pei Yanzhi. The childhood best friends to enemies to lovers storyline hurt so much, especially when they only realized their feelings at death. The second chance plot made everything even more emotional. One of the best historical BL dramas in recent years easily 10/10.

this was a frustrating ep on so many levels,…

this was a frustrating ep on so many levels, so Pi & Deiw never dated?!? & ironically he was the male version of Jane. he took pity on Deiw & wanted to force him out of his shell & he really thought his friends would be the people to exposé Deiw the introvert too?!? & if that wasn't enough (how he treated him, very condescendingly) now he is trying to sabotage Deiw & God's relationship - to what end?!? cause he is butthurt that Deiw is getting along with God's friends?!? petty much!?? ****************the sad fact is Deiw wont communicate, so i don't fault God for having enough & believing Pi's lies. like the whole bracelet incident - Deiw needed to drag that sh*t out?!? he couldn't just tell God it was a keepsake from his father?!? heck they still haven't had a serious conversation about his mother. but that's the problem God keeps giving Deiw space & time to be the one to initiates everything & anything, but he never does - just expects God to accommodate & cater to him - like i've said Deiw is very selfish & God is finally noticing/realizing this - how one side their relationship really is. that's the main reason they can't find middle ground, cause God goes out of his way taking all the steps to come towards Deiw, while he won't lift a finger for God. any relationship would suffer if it was this one sides cause even a giver needs to feel he not in the relationship all alone - like i am sure God is feeling at this stage. ********************************************************************************************ironically the main couple isn't the only one with issues - i get Beer is hurt cause Wan rejected him - but i don't get why he's using Ton to gaslight Wan. Wan's worries r valid - instead of communicating & reassuring him, he is playing mind games with Wan & if this forces Wan into a relationship he is worried to be in... is that something i should be happy about?!??? **************so yeah this was frustrating to watch, Deiw - when he wants can stand-up for himself but when he needs to talk he turns mute especially with God, so it's fair play the turn around where God isn't accommodating & understanding - where he needs time to himself, maybe if Deiw will be on the receiving end he will realize what he has in God & start to change for the relationships sake. **********************************************************************************************************************************side note: i hope the grandfather doesn't die & cause the rift between the mains to grow bigger or worse God forgets his justification in distancing himself from Deiw & him folding cause Deiw is mourning.

Love Beyond Dreams EP1 Just Delivered One of the Wildest Thai GL Pilots We’ve Seen This Year

We expected chemistry and heartbreak — we did not expect mafia-style chaos, emotional devastation, shocking twists, and a gun fight that had us sitting straight up on the couch. Love Beyond Dreams came out swinging with a pilot episode packed with tension, mystery, and enough clues to send us immediately into theory mode. Nanny Zhou causes trouble from beyond the grave

JinZhao runs into Lord Chen at the temple and she tells him about wanting her mom to divorce. He suggests they borrow a house in the area that has a calm atmosphere that will help her heal. JinZhao talked her mom into going and they make plans to leave in two days. As expected they are now making Lan the brains of the outfit. Nanny Zhou left her with one piece of news that would split up Lord and Lady Gu. It started when a marriage prospect was introduced for Lan. She was unhappy because she thinks he’s ugly and will make her a laughing stock. Not to mention who she truly has eyes for. Daddy Gu only laughs at her complaint with his features. He basically told her to not be so shallow and to accept the match. She then runs to Lady Gu begging for help in getting it thrown out. But she agreed with the match and made no effort to discourage it. Lan had a point later when she pointed out the degree of assist with JinZhao and Liu and Rong with abductees, but that no such effort was extended for her. They did make Lady Gu look uncaring which was out of character since they had always been close. Lan runs to her mother and they find a servant who had left the house a long time ago. Yu ping claimed that Lady Gu had swapped meds for another wife or concubine resulting in the deaths of mother and child. The maid had been dismissed after the tragedy. Since Nanny Zhou had just shown her deceit with meds it is clear she was making place for the mistress to claim a fake pregnancy and get her married into the household. It was interesting that when concubine and wife had a real conversation that Song was convinced Gu only truly loved the one that died. Ji was married for her money and she was married by faking a pregnancy…so who was the one he really cared for? This was a true tragedy and a deliberate crime, but it also has Nanny Zhou written all over it. Either she did this or learned from it to poison Lady Gu. Daddy Gu has a rant with his wife and he wants to point the blame at her. When this registers, she finally writes a divorce decree. He chooses not to accept and they have one last serious fight. Previews of next ep clearly show the results of that. I am still puzzled by this woman. Was she indirectly forced to marry him because of those sunken documents? Was that her role in the cause for reform? Was she really as weak as she appears or was it to keep Gu in line and out of political trouble. Why else would she allow him a harem with no real argument? Her whole story doesn’t really make sense in the scheme of things. Was she in this marriage to bring a wealthy merchant class into the same tier as nobles? Was this her real objective? What did she get out of it to be worth this much pain in a sham of a marriage? And why do these two women give a rat’s arse about such a little arrogant man? JinZhao will hopefully figure all this out. The one thing made clear was that there was now no blended family. Lan’s actions have made a distinctive line between the families now, but I don’t think it will have the results she’s expecting. She is going to see firsthand the consequences of her handiwork and this time, she won’t be able to delude herself no real harm was done. I am annoyed they are making her character unlikable now and her mother entirely too stupid. I don’t care who the brat gets married off to as long as it’s not Ye Xian or Lord Chen. Good luck with getting any Ji money for her dowry now.😝

Two Stars

wow ep 3 blindside me - who would thought that all games aside, they would both be so genuine at this early stage & stop with the white lies.... how wholesome & heartwarming, but now i wonder (worry) if at this stage they have more or less confessed, what awaits (us) them??? *************************************************************************************************************in the previous we already got a hint that Ryo has a crush, when it started idk - cause the flashback only showed why they noticed & got close to each other, but didn't detect anything romantic pass between them. anyway given their running betting game i didn't think Ryo would basically be this candid about his feelings & even if Zen didn't hold back this time. even though there wasn't much of an NC scene it was hot & butterfly inducing given their chemistry. can't wait for more.

Episode 8 Completely Stole My Heart

Wow, episode 8 is my favourite episode so far. They cleared up their misunderstanding so quickly instead of dragging it out for a few episodes. You can really tell how much they love each other during their NC scene. It was filmed so beautifully, one of the best Taiwanese BL scenes I’ve ever seen. I’m honestly speechless.
