Toki JimmySea series always have a very strong first episode from Vice versa to Last Twilight to My Magic Prophecy. The whole episode plot is on point and no drama. It was not dragging at all. The details were studied well and the combination of Jimmy and Sea is always spectacular. The amount of humor to every scene is perfect. Acting was natural that's why it's fun to watch. It's a mix of mystery, action, witty and comedy that blended well. The editing is so nice too.

jisuqlf Episode 17 of The First Frost marks a turning point as the slowburn finally pays off, with the characters getting together after all the build-up. The dragging finally gets somewhere, making the emotional breakthroughs feel earned and heartfelt. It’s a satisfying episode that sets the stage for the next phase of their story.

Mizuhira-san 1. A compatible marriage (crown prince couple)2. A chaotic marriage (Cheng Wang and his concubines)3. "Out of the blue" marriage (showed so little about them, and thus looks like a 'cut and paste' event; All good, cuz at least they're happy)4. The perfect marriage✨ (love, understanding and respect exist in their relationship~)It teared me up when Wan'er replied to Yan Chi's, "Thank you for putting up with me," with "All I've ever wanted was to build a home with you." Awwnn 🥹On to the politics plot, everything is escalating quickly, and the tables are turning. Several characters are showing their true colours one after another. What secrets do they keep?

Dg457 The ship has sunk but I'm still on board, hoping that something will change...Everything is escalating so fast and yet the story still feels flat. Moon Baek's monologue was so lackluster, they clearly wanted to give more depth in his character and motives but this is not how to do it.

KJ2025 Little Sui saw the death of his mother but did not understand why his father the culprit. It was because his mother knew it wasn’t her husband and pointed out handwriting as evidence. Wan and Chi are taking notes and gathering evidence. The chess manuals seem to be the key. There is a distinct character change in emperor. There is a before and after Jin death with specific changes noted. Prince Che was almost to safety but Cheng had to gloat while killing him. There was no reason to bind him later except he wanted another corpse like Prince Rui’s to preen over. The boy was smart to play dumb. Prince Jin encouraged it before he was falsely accused. Guess the emperor originally planned for Cheng to die similarly. Chi is going to change that up a bit. The emperor stuns Li by hugging the crap out of him and ignoring Cheng. Cheng has every reason to feel betrayed. He did exactly what he was told to do and then condemned for it. Welcome to Jin’s world.😝 The fake mourning and outrage by the fake emperor is getting more nauseating by the episode. 😝The consort is hoping to have a child but Feng’s mother revealed that her beauty aids were also making her infertile. The emperor knew this and encouraged the products to go to his wife regularly. Yu is allowed to go home and her mother has the vapors again. She is harsh to the ears and just needs a sedative to shut the hell up. I don’t blame Yan for demanding a rebellion. It is clear why they despise Cheng. But the father recognizes it is better to be poor and alive then titled and in cemetery. They did a good job showing the three women that loved Prince Che experience his life snuffed out. It was sad and bitter and all three knew before told. There was a lot weak about Prince Che. He was not fit to rule and he was a mess trying to comply with the wishes of his mother. To his credit, he loved his wife and just wanted a simple scholarly life, and had his mother accepted his wishes, they both would have been happier. I don’t know how Yu would have done without the title, but I think if she and Che were well away from their mothers they could have had a happy life together with music and poetry. Xiang is still Xiang. She thinks she has won over Feng girl, but doesn’t know Cheng is about to join his brothers. I hope they watch him burn while he sees them smiling and at peace. The sword of justice is about to come down and Prince Chi’s eyes are ablaze as he wields it.

I had hoped they showed more of Yan Chi's father's scenes, not only from their few interactions, but also from his father's point of view. It isn't enough for me to accept his father's sudden death just from a few bits of him being extra harsh on Yan Chi, then showing how he secretly cared for his son behind the scenes, only AFTER he died. Why can't they reconcile while he's still alive😓!? They could've shown more of the father-son heart-to-heart talk while sipping on wine or something. I feel so sad for Yan Chi and his dad😢.[No wonder AvenueX said what she said... 😅]

I will only make comments once a week when I rate this drama . I still think this is by far the best 100 plus episodes drama yet. The actors & awesome & writers aren’t DRAGGING the storyline

The corpse is a JUMP SCARE. I like the detail of Qin Wan's dress getting dirty at the bottom during the fire scenes.

Qin Wan's line to Yan Chi was soooo romantic. The way everyone has their own motives and all the pieces are falling together.

A pretty much perfect ending to a series. I especially loved the end when the new laws established are reflective of the past cases and to make sure those similar types of cases will be properly handled and there won't need to be as many perpetrators that needed to exist out of simply revenge due to the corrupted system.
