The cunning prince, though 'obsessed' with erasing sinners with improper conduct, eventually fell victim to the evil ways himself. As I thought, the Society Leader... is HIM! I wasn't convinced that Ning Bu Yuan was the mastermind all along. Otherwise, it'd be too boring. I teared up when he asked, "Why did you kill my mother?"😓Pretty much every good character got their happy endings, while the opposite happened to the villains. The royal house cleaning is what enabled the new young ruler to start afresh without a better environment and people with good character.This is off-topic, but the best villains have the best face cards~ (⁠人⁠*⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ⁠✨Just look at YSZ in his white outfits and this hairdo... The episode opens at a crematorium where one body is checked in but two bodies on the cart. Xiao Guang got a night in the hospital. Here YiRan runs into a dealer with an asthma inhaler he knows from his past. They have tested the meth and same concentration so they know it is locally distributed. The factory warehouse has been idle for too long so they are trying to figure out where the new distributing location is. The little girl’s mom pays a visit to the club where her husband was beat up. She quietly watches and eats snacks while the guy that beat on her husband is treated in like fashion. She warns the club’s manager there should not be a repeat. The new squad is getting heat that their investigation is running cold and they want results.

Graduation

There were some warm fuzzy moments this last episode. Entong finally spoke up about the tanks. I appreciate the lesson and growth they were giving her character, but she again took up a lot of time that I would have preferred spent on rest of cast. This could have been covered in a positive way rather than all this negative drama for somebody suffering PTSD. The cast did a wonderful job with their roles, but I feel this was a missed opportunity to have the group grow together overcoming a tragedy to waste on obsessive drama just for the sake of drama. They made her the linchpin for his healing when she deliberately caused the most harm. For me, that took away a good bit of the positive vibe I wanted from this story. It was like a sweet idea with a bad aftertaste. The cast did a great job and I enjoyed the music, I just didn’t personally care for the creative direction the writer and director gave Entong’s character. She was written in such a way there is no indication she would really change and it took away from being able to enjoy the other couples because they spent too much time cleaning up the messes she made. I’m glad the couples ended on an upbeat but I was left wondering whose lives Entong would scar next and I don’t think that is what the filmmakers had in mind with their story. That is just the impression they left me with.
