First choose acceptance!

This will frustrate you like no other. You want to will people to behave a certain way--to be straightforward and to stand up for themselves--and they don't. The FL is a combo of immature/inexperienced/timid/etc.. I'm not going to even talk about mom here because those reviews alone may sway you. This was what it was supposed to be which is why I added .5 points to my original 8.5. The FL had A LOT of growing to be after coming up in a toxic household while enduring a parallel drama at work. Frankly, she didn't deserve the ML until she experienced true growth so that she could love him properly. This became my takeaway because she was frustrating the hell out of me so much so that I was like "Run Jun Hui Run! I will find another drama to watch with you getting your happy ending." This story was done well with an excellent cast. The absolute one thing I couldn't get past was the primary OST "Stand by your man" because it didn't exactly fit the narrative. The other OSTs that played fit better.

A clusterfreak that’s so weird it’s so good

A dash of religion, a heaping of Korean culture and a handful of middle eastern beliefs. Mix it all together and you get this drama. At first I was liking the direction of wishes showing the good in people and there were sub stories like the vlogger, puppy etc. but somehow those got lost in the chaos and the stories didn’t give depth to the main plot. Half way through, I threw away all logic and expectation and just enjoyed the ride.

Best Episode Ever!

This was definitely the most amazing episode by far. I was happy, laughing out loud, cringing at ML's seduction techniques (him asking her about her cycle LMAO!), and their kisses, WOW!FL's mom is amazing, warm, kind and understanding. I love how comfortable ML got with calling her mom or asking for advice. And the mom's advice to her daughter at the end was really beautiful. This family of 3 is something special, I really wish they could stay together and be happy like this all the time... but sadly, we can already see the signs of trouble for the future.

A Song of Sorrow: Peem’s Lonely Heart and Ramphueng’s Curse

That underwater scene felt like a painting of sorrow, every movement heavy with grief.Khem returning to the past was haunting and beautiful, a window into the truth long buried. We saw Ramphueng, broken and frail after giving birth, cradling hope in her arms only to watch her son die before her eyes.Instead of justice, she was betrayed, her innocence shattered. Her husband, who should have stood beside her, cast her into the flames of cruelty. He chose not belief, but punishment, condemning her to death beneath the lash, each strike stripping away her humanity.A young woman of twenty-one, turned into a spirit of vengeance, her love for her child twisted into eternal anguish. How can we hate her when her pain is so raw, her suffering so merciless? Her story bleeds tragedy, and my heart breaks with hers. And then, Peem. The most beautiful soul, selfless and gentle, his face a portrait of perfection yet his life a canvas of loneliness.Always giving, always protecting, always forgetting himself for the sake of others.Even when poison coursed through his body and blood stained his eyes, his thoughts were not for his pain.He begged his disciples to abandon him, to save Khem instead. If that is not love, then love has no meaning. But love has never stayed with him.His mother, whom he longed to see, remained out of reach because he was bound to the path of a shaman.Grandma Si, the only one who truly loved him as her own, died before his eyes.Thong and Ake, the spirits who shared his days and kept the silence at bay, faded into nothingness. And finally, Khem, the one who carried his heart, walked away.Peem’s words as he held Khem’s hand broke me into pieces:“I have no one left, Khem. Please stay with me. Please do not leave me.”Yet even as those words fell trembling from his lips, Khem still chose to go.His mind poisoned by guilt, convinced that all the deaths were his burden, he thought leaving was the only way.But I pray the day will come when regret brings him back to the one who loved him most. For now, Peem is left in silence, an empty soul with no one to hold.If the world will not have him, then let me take his sorrow, for I would never let him be alone. What an episode, what a masterpiece of heartbreak.Ramphueng’s tragic past, Grandma Si’s death, the sacrifice of Thong and Ake, and Peem left abandoned in the ruins of love.Rarely does every episode carry such depth, such relentless emotion, never once letting us breathe. We are blessed, even in tears, to witness such beauty.Three Thai BL masterpieces shine at once: Khemjira, Love in the Moonlight, and The Wicked Game.I wait for the next episode with both dread and longing, knowing it will shatter me again.

An episode of hurtful wounds

This episode is filled with emotional scenes at every turn and made me tear up at certain scenes. One of them is the d8@th match between Yi Xiao and her former comrade Wei Ran. The latter has wronged her along with their master, for a certain mission which they see differently about its consequences. One side wanted to sacrifice while the other wanted to protect. Wei Ran was nothing more than a loyal subordinate, might I say, too loyal, for him to even betray his sworn family for the bigger picture his master decided to achieve. Yi Xiao got hurt trying to stop them and their delusional plan. Even after all that, Yi Xiao decided to let Wei Ran live, due to her remaining familial affection she had for him. That was her final mercy. Another scene which made me emotional yet again was when ML tried to comfort FL. Li Qin nailed it as the devastated Yi Xiao after learning the truth from WR. And lastly, that hurtful conversation between Feng Sui Ge and his younger sister. Wow, how could she even utter those words towards her brother like that? A sheltered princess who knows nothing about the outside world.. Feng Xi Yang will only understand when she actually faces hardships and the brutal reality herself. I can feel the hurt Feng Sui Ge felt when he heard his sister's harsh words. They pierced like sharp knives right through the heart...

AT THE PEAK PLOT

Arghhh I'm so excited when Goon finally meet Saeyan but disappointed that he can't seems to remember her. I dislike Shin attitude so much, does he think that if he's a popular athlete, he can do whatever he want?! So selfishAlso, Shin shows more suspicious behavior and the plot twist that he actually push Goon made me shocked. Does it's accidentally or his intention?

sayo's make+up this episode was so fucking good

i really adore this episode. i really like aquatic themes in general so it's fine. theyd o this a lot with shiguru where he trains & uses the skill he honed & i like it ,it's cute & a good way to set things up. he also slots in a very nice role in this episode ,it's him & takamichi with shiguru making up the focus that takamichi lacks ,or rather the ability to understand the bigger picture that takamichi misses because he is only on one track. so like ,the complete opposite of what i just said but like it's nice. i adore a rainy atmosphere so i think this fight was especially beautiful with the soft gloom in the light. i knew something would be wrong when takamichi said he would go back first & my thought was lord galza would ambush him when he is mentally vulnerable but mabusheena had a very beautiful moment where she as somepony that loves takamichi & understands what he needs to hear says what he needs to listen to.

Stripping masks off and exposing unpleasant secrets

Haoming suddenly morphed from loving husband to perfect self-serving scumbag, shattering Xu Yan's heart and simultaneously threatening her with destroying her job if she did not comply with keeping up appearances. Qiao Lin also lied about marriage but this became a private joke between her and Dr Yu with no grim consequence.Detailed synopsis contains spoilers : ---- Xu Yan confronted Haoming about hiding his fatherhood and using her for his ambition while lying to her. Haoming went to his safe and brought out files and photos documenting Xu Yan's deception about her Qiao family and her past acquaintances, when she had married him. He told her that he had liked her qualities of charm, that managed to win his hard-to-please mother, and her endurance ; he had gambled that a more socially equal marriage partner might have caused trouble with his illegitimate son, but that Xu Yan looked noble "without the unpleasant temper", totally confirming Fang Lei's previous assessment that he had chosen her not for sentiments but for her appearance and obedience, that her personal ambitions were welcome because they benefited his career. He detailed the threats he had made disappear for her benefit : Lin Tao, Zhou Zeyuan ... He only was willing to pay in cash and in kind if she kept playing the perfect wife. "From the moment he knew she was a fraud, he could never fall in love with her."Xu Yan clung to some few sweet memories (the band aid, the guihua jam...) but when she calmly told Haoming she was accepting a divorce, he coldly threatened her with her unsecured job if she did not meekly accept to put up a smiling face and remain his false perfect wife. He ordered her to attend some social events although Xu Yan warned him she might not be able to do it. When he came home and she tried to tell her about her genuine love, he coldly rejected her again, disbelieving and not concerned about the anguish that was crushing her and her silent despair. She was blaming herself for all that she was now enduring as punishment for her lie, so accepted the rebukes and commands. She went to the Jinda groundbreaking ceremony, woodenly playing her role, her smiling mask almost slipping her face in interview. Later, he warned her again that her job was on the line... Later that night, as they were sharing a bed back to back, he took a phone call from Han Weiping and rushed over to stop Fang Lei who was threatening with suicide. After he left, Han Weiping mocked Fang Lei quipping that "studying homebreakers like her helped his work". At the hospital, Qiao Lin wanted to help Dr Yu and pretended that she was his wife to explain to the mother of a young surgery patient why she was so positive about him. Her trying to bribe the mom in order to prevent from making trouble ended up making waves in the hierarchy as Dr Yu's colleagues believed he was married! But Dr Yu accepted her apology and sealed it with sharing an ice cream: her lie had in fact won over the difficult family member and helped him. They both laughed it off as a joke between friends.Xu Yan later had to attend a Charity auction. She had had time to assess her losses and acted calm and composed, but dragged Fang Lei to her side in a show of benevolence, while she with apparent cool lack of shame fought to win a precious ring symbolizing love.... (to be continued!)

Murky dealings and a murder attempt. High heels failing at the sand castle.

This episode is full business drama with crime elements and family struggle around Haoming and his ambition for power in the company. It was not totally easy to understand why the ruler of the Jinda empire Shen Jinsong (played by Xu Yajun, a movie and drama actor seasoned in drama acting since 1993) was so mistrustful of his son and alleged heir.Xu Yan's vague feelings that the sand castle of her marriage was crumbling started to become a reality. High heels failing to support became a repeated symbolic motif of the quashed hopes both for her and for her enemy Sun Siwei, while Fang Lei stripped off the mask of appearances although she could only get malevolent pleasure from the harm she did. Detailed synopsis below includes spoilers:----- A disgruntled member of the board first tried to make Haoming help him in his dire straits, but Haoming remained cold and unforgiving. Haoming was saved by his wife from a knifing from Wu Deliang (played by Ding Zhiyong, support actor who also was among cast list of 2022 "Who Rules The World" starred by Zhao Lusi and Yang Yang). Haoming next forced a bank card into Xu Yan's hand but lied about the business he rushed to next, which was in fact a meeting with Mr Fang (played by Guo Qiucheng), a powerful businessman and long time acquaintance whom he had promised to look out for and help Fang Lei, the legal advisor team member of Jinda group. He also carelessly ignored his wife's phone calls and his promise to be home for dinner, going instead to collect Haochen at school and spend the evening with the boy until he fell asleep. Xu Yan was struggling to balance her job as news anchor and host of the cooking show, but Sun Siwei was still in the media company and in her team as a subordinate, disrespectful to her and slothful about her job, bullying an assistant. At Jinda, Fang Lei was fishing for Haoming's attention. She brought a well made report to his office, only in view of playing the role of weak hypoglycemia sufferer to let herself be driven home by her boss. A few days later, Fang Lei joined Haoming at the golf (barely acknowledging Xu Yan), and readily accepted to join him for a business dinner with the Jiang people. Xu Yan declined the off hand invitation by Haoming and went instead to dine and have a talk with Qiao Lin. Her sister could not believe Haoming was cheating despite Xu Yan 's feeling that "a glass wall was separating her" from her husband lately. Meanwhile, Fang Lei was all over Haoming who had brought her home in a half drunk state. He ignored Xu Yan's phone call but answered his assistant Chen Li and once the news he was waiting for arrived as a document on his phone, let the mask fall off, turned icy cold and promised Fang Lei a bonus for her performance with his business partners, informing Fang Lei that he only had been "keeping her stable from outbursts". Waiting at the door, now revealed to be the private attorney of Haoming, was Han Weiping (played by Hei Ze, playing support roles in many dramas since 2019). Han had evidence recorded on his pen spy camera of Fang Lei's maneuvers to wreck Haoming's marriage and left Fang Lei thoroughly defeated and in tears...Back home, Haoming deflected his wife's attempt to confess, telling her that if she was going to say something that "might upset him" she'd better stay silent, next striding upstairs to go to bed, leaving Xu Yan standing like a convenient coat rack. When Xu Yan went to collect Haochen from school, Fang Lei confronted her and revealed she was the boy's biological aunt, and Haoming was in fact the boy's father, adding that Haoming had from the start only been looking for "a name to put on a marriage certificate" but never been in love with Xu Yan, only using her for his ambition. As Haochen rushed to Xu Yan, and Fang Lei looked at her with mock pity, Xu Yan suddenly felt teetering at the edge of an abyss, her high heels almost giving out supporting her weight at the realization of how much she had been misled.

Poverty = dirty

Can't help but be critical that again in a Kdrama, poverty is represented by dirty skin. And filthy clothes. Come on Kdrama producers. Enter the 21st century. Poverty does not make you have poor hygiene - even (and probably ESPECIALLY not) in 1st century Arabic society.Otherwise mu rating would be hugher.
