The movie that represents life as it is, and not just in a drama form.

Loved the realness of their interactions, like real friends, and real life, not just a film/drama. I love this kind of real representation of life movies and series, they're the ones that touch me the most and leave me feeling as I was told a story by a friend. I f you like that kind of movie/series as well than that's for you.
The not very defined ending as well, such as life, we don't know how thing went but we chose to believe in how we wanted to go. Loved the music, the actors, the story line and the design of the film in general, the cinematography and photography where on point.

Take That You Dinosaur!

Godzilla vs King Ghidorah is the third movie in the Heisei Godzilla series. Big G gets an upgrade and Ghidorah has a new origin story. The gullible humans once again fall for any story people in a spaceship tell them, much to their detriment.

The aliens in this movie turn out to be from Earth's future, called Futurians, because...well, why not? They arrive to tell the people of Japan that Godzilla who up to this time has been a somewhat protector will turn on the them and destroy the island. Back into time the Futurians go with a handful of 1991 characters to try and stop Godzilla from being created. The crew arrives on Lagos island during WWII where a dinosaur helped the Japanese there rout the American fleet because, well, why not? The dinosaur would mutate into Godzilla after nuclear bomb testing in 1954. Godzillasaurus, I kid you not, is transported to the 1991 Bering Strait so that he can't mutate. Of course a Russian nuclear sub starts the whole mutating cycle again. The Futurians turn out to not be the good helpers they originally appeared to be and now have King Ghidorah under their control.

There are plot holes galore in the timey wimey travel stories. Suffice it to say that Godzilla comes back bigger, badder, and madder.

Godzilla's weakness is nearly always the human stories. They weren't all bad in this one and there is a strong female lead who isn't military or a reporter who continually needs rescuing. Miki Saegusa is back as the ESP expert and per usual I am unimpressed with her one facial expression.

I'm never one to criticize guys in rubber suits, I find that to be part of the whimsical fun of these movies. The problem I had with the special effects were the ones unrelated to the monsters. They looked more 1976 than 1991. I was also saddened that they replaced Ghidorah's familiar shriek.

Ifukube Akira's score is a highlight to most Godzilla movies and this one was no exception.

Godzilla Vs Ghidorah was packed with a lot of story. Characters went back and forth in time. There were multiple monster issues and fights. Yet somehow, much of the first hour was dull, the characters were not nearly as compelling as the writers thought they were. Big G didn't stomp onto the scene until the final third of the movie. Godzillasaurus was interesting in his short scenes early on but even he was not what I came to see. It was the battle royale between Godzilla and the King, which turned out to be okay. The battle scenes ramped up as the credits neared making the movie worthwhile to watch. My biggest complaint in the final fight was that the good guys caused a lot of collateral damage and building destroying. It's one thing for monsters to do it, another for humans.

Big G vs The King is entertaining as long as you don't try to make too much sense from the convoluted story.

I wish it had more "horror"

I bought this movie randomly at a gaming store because the cover looks pretty cool and I thought it would be a scary movie about dolls and a psychological thriller. Even though it wasn't what I thought or wanted it was pretty predictable and a bit boring at times.

I liked some of the ambience, some of the main lead spiraling scenes, and they did good in making me think what they wanted me to think. I wasn't confused by the end. My favorite horror scene was with the giant doll, it was really creepy and slow but I couldn't look away from the screen during that scene. I honestly wish they would have done more scenes like that or built on that doll's creepiness.

I didn't like how predictable it was. I've watched a lot of psychological horror movies, it's actually my favorite genre of horror, but I felt like I was five steps ahead of the movie at all times. I also really didn't like that the movie told us what was wrong very early on and didn't really leave us guessing or figuring it out ourselves as viewers.

Overall I liked the idea but it could have been better. It's not a very long movie and has a couple of good scenes. I think it's a good movie to just watch once. But there are definitely better psychological horrors out there that are easier to find.

the movie itself isn't bad plot wise - but the acting isn't good, very amateurish and makes one wonder about the directors experience, cause everything is more student movie, then artsy short film. also seeing a few of the cast that were in another short movie (Broken Youth) same type vibe, i think this very low budget - using drama students, with little to no experience. again the plot was good, so i didn't think it was boring. subs could've been better, as a load of the times i felt like there was something getting lost in translation, which is a shame - but it is what it is.

ironically the description is spot-on in one aspect, Qin Nian does grow-up in the blink of n eye lol... one sec Chen Min (about to give birth) is rushing to her dead husbands body and the next it's 17 yrs later - that was "funny". this like Broken Youth might be tagged BL but that isn't the main plot point - the relationship between mother and son, his own self-hate cause of how, "...on the day he came to the world his father died, so he a bad omen..." - so yeah we got gay character's but it aint Only about being gay. his opening up to Liguang as he's pretty distant from his peers , but he opens up to Liguang and they become fast-friends pretty quick. he even opens up about stuff i doubt he talked with a soul. and Liguang is all understanding and accepting. they get close pretty quick which could be kindred spirits or soul mates - but it felt like Qin Nian finally found someone who would accept him warts and all. maybe that was also what touched his heart, as u notice that Qin Nian has fallen for Liguang.
Liguang i couldn't read - yeah he cares and is a great friend, but i never felt "more" and then when he accepts Lianxing's confession rushing to date her, while denying having any affection towards Qin Nian other then friendship - left me thinking, maybe it's was one sided?!?

but that's not the case, as Liguang admits in his sleep - which makes Lianxing go ballistic - unjustifiably so she spews venom around her. taking out her anger on anyone and everyone - lashing out at Qin Nian as if he trying to take her man - but it screamed insecurity - as everyone her, Xiaoyanjin - everyone in that group knew(!), that Qin Nian had feelings for Liguang and that it wasn't one sided. so just to get Liguang she manipulated the situation(?) as she put Liguang on the spot (when she confessed to him), either he admit he has feelings for a guy (i.e he gay) or date her. so her every move after that, was to push her relationship in Qin Nian's face and insert herself between the guys. but when she heard Liguang true feelings, she lost all control - (would've been great to know how that was concluded, but left blank...)
but the instant Liguang didn't come to Qin Nian defense (after all that venom she spewed his way, even going so far as trying to slap him - all this on his B-day), idk i wished Qin Nian turned to Xiaoyanjin (who i felt from the start had a thing for Qin Nian all along). but that like the conversation between Liguang and Lianxing goes nowhere and we just get Liguang trying to get back his friend. which i get and yet after everything that happened, wasn't satisfying in the least -

the rest is a bit rushed but this ending was interesting, well it's positive so that's a huge plus - as it leaves enough time for both guy's to grow into their own, and as Liguang asks Qin Nian to "wait for him" - it was great. so yeah, not perfect but considering a load of other movies this wasn't boring or frustrating to watch - for sure would rewatch (just hope the subs would be better) (●'◡'●)

Worth your time!!!! Also its on Netflix

Was keeping an eye on this as to when it would come on any online platforms, luckily it came on Netflix.

There is this instant chemistry between the leads, they are too good. I loved every millisecond of the movie. This is not that regular coming of age movie, this has the very realistic ending.

Leo is such an all rounder, he looks good, his acting is out of-the world and yayyyy!!! we happen to witness his first onscreen kiss. Words fall short to describe this young talented actor. I was instantly drown towards him when I first saw him in cross fire. I didn't know he was there in the industry since he was 5-6 years old. His acting is so effortless.
Coming to the actress, she has done a good job as well, she looks like a highschool kid, so big shout out for the casting director.
All in all, movie is worth every minute of audience's time. Watch it. Writer/Director has beautifully laid out the story.
"Its a miracle if the person you like, likes you back"..I didn't know this line had such a deep meaning...lol...as all the kdramas/cdramas have spoiled me thinking if one of the leads likes the other person then definitely he/she is going to get him/her. Well!!! In reality it is not the case.....he he he he which is true......so, watch it and don't let the comments or reviews stop you from watching this amazing movie.

A story about a disabled person who finds love and gets his happy ending? A sight unseen! But lo and behold, it really does happen in this movie. I'm kinda not used to this!

Iwata Takanori plays the male lead and he's ah-mazing. He's one of those actors who, when they smile, you can hear angels singing. I'm exaggerating, I know, but seriously, there's simply something about him smiling that gives you warm fuzzies. And in this movie, he's the embodiment of sunshine and unicorns: warm, kind, loving, sweet... That's why his character's story, the obstacles he has to overcome and all these little frustrations that he meets every day, all that hits you where it truly hurts.

And then there's Sugisaka Hana as the female lead and she's as cute as a button and the way her character sticks with the ML, the way she supports him and goes through all the hardships together with him because for her, it's all worth it, he is worth it... yeah. I bawled.

If you love whump there's some really good one in this movie, too!

Love its imperfection

this movie is not perfect, time gaps, the reasons, the sudden conflicts felt too fast or... left questions that weren't really answered as the film continued.... but why the fuck do i love it? the music was great, acting on point.... yes i love crying at times that i need reasons to tell people why my eyes are red not just because i want to off myself... except the fact that i love kim go-eun and currently simping for jung hae-in, the satisfaction of them getting a happy ending was something that made me feel.... hmm? something that i can't even explain, it was heavy yet not with sad nor happy feels... it was merely satisfaction. maybe because i'm a teen who's currently curious how and why do people fall for other people? why love is complicated and stressful yet many want to experience it... so yeah, my point is i can't explain the reason... i just love it and the feeling it left me. plus, go enjoy what you want to, watch what entertains you, as long as it doesn't harm you or other people.... enjoy... its your life anyway and if u have the power to choose what u want then why not?

Ahh I must say the movie is very well made , the actors are v good I usually don’t really watch movies/series without skipping at least one scene but I didn’t skip any scenes sooo must be a good movie!! I was soooo invested in the story but the ending !! I cannot be any more heartbroken , I thought they were going to end up together low key thought he died at one point lmao but vvvv good movie , realistic ending I guess? I feel like they should’ve made it a drama cause I feel there could be so much more to the story like his relationship with his father?
Also I want to want to go to an electronic festival now lol looks so much fun!!

Realistic Touch

I found this film through Netflix's upcoming movies and loved the trailer. The synopsis was interesting and after looking at the cast to see if there was any familiar actors/actress' I decided to watch it.

This was a very cute and often lighthearted film that really tackles two of the challenges that teenagers face the most. One being the separating parents that the female lead (Chen Chen) faces and the other being the love-struck boy who faces the challenges of love. These things that most teens have or have been through are portrayed in such a great way that some can actually relate. The feeling of mixed anger and sadness after finding out Chen Chen's parents are divorcing is something I was able to relate to that made me enjoy the show more. The feeling of being abandoned by someone you love and not receiving an explanation the Zheng Yu faces is something others can relate to.

This film is unlike any other c-drama film I've seen even though it is softhearted and cute it still has a realistic story that makes it even better. Something I'd point out is the lack of backstory in the parents especially Zheng Yu's (male leads) father. I was looking forward to Zheng Yu confronting his ex-girlfriend with Chen Chen but we never get to see it because he decides to let her go. After kissing Chen Chen and telling her he can't reciprocate her feelings which really threw me off.

I enjoyed the film because of the moments like Zheng Yu chasing after Chen Chen to ask her about the situation and she'd just run away while the other students hype them up. These were really hilarious scenes that make you forget the depressing ones.

Once the story starts reaching its climax we witness the downfall of the lead's relationship. Chen Chen is being forced to sign a paper that blames Zheng Yu for everything so the school will let her go which made me really confused because they decided to run away during the weekend so I didn't get why the school became so mad but I don't go to China for school so I don't really know their regulations. Chen Chen confronting her mother about the divorce. Zheng Yu losing his hearing which I felt was kind of unnecessary and the main lead's going their separate ways.

In the end, we see Chen Chen finished with school and go to Sanya with her mother and Uncle Wang which shows that she finally decides to accept everything but we never get to see her with her father. After she goes to a concert and sees Zheng Yu finally being able to be on top of the stage and the film ends. I felt like the ending was lacking in some ways such as the lead's not interacting but I just like to think they became really good friends at the end or maybe even form a romantic relationship.

All in all, this was a good movie that I recommend watching if you are into soft and lighthearted dramas that have a realistic touch to them.

Don't have high expectations; good but not the best

Sinkhole, as I had expected, is nothing sort of very wow. Sure, it's a decent one time watch that keeps you stick to it till the very end, I couldn't find a reason it broke records in South Korea.

The primary concept of the movie is nothing new, i.e. house ownership issues in modern Seoul days. The fact it being disaster survival movie plus a very powerful cast had interested me a lot but as I watched it, I ended up disappointed with it in overall.

I mean I also admit it's a decent movie but my disappointment arises from the news of its box-office records plus the cast but the movie not being anything very nice. There is a high standard of survival thrillers when we consider the Korean Entertainment Industry and their movie production quality. So I am simply saying that Sinkhole failed to meet that line. Also, it felt a lil short, as in, the movie ends even before you realize.

Different families move to a newly built five storey building with their hard earned money only to end up in a sinkhole which no one was aware of. After a few months the entire building falls into the sinkhole early morning which was very unexpected and the number of people fall into it along with the apartment are 9. So the story is how they survive the fall and get rescued in ghr end, accompanied by their back stories which are only narrated from the character.

The basic plot is short yet decent with many momentary peak points which are extremely enthralling, and somrtimes emotional. And as usual, this also has things to learn from and take a note about. Instances that makes you cry; either it touches your heart or stab it with knife, are suitably accommodated in the story. The movie starts on plenty of comedy that lasts for almost 20mins and in fact there were funny instances in between too but it's not a comedy movie, keep that in mind. The survival movie is a mixture of many emotions which were perfectly executed.

Storywriter successfully delivered an up to par work and the direction is reasonable as well; no complaints in that regard. The cinematography and VFX work definitely deserve brownie points. The setup inside the sinkhole is pretty much real to give the actual vibes and the camera plus editing work is intriguing enough to catch attention. The sound editing is somewhat dull, ngl. The screenplay is okay but screenediting is below average, like that of a pre 2010 movie.

Do I even bother talk about acting? Definitely, they are very excellent actors and justified their roles in here but given their skills and capabilities, this movie is a bad choice.

# Kim Sung Kyun as Park Dong Won, a hardworking section chief and a loving family man who saved for 11 years to buy a flat
# Cha Seung Won as Dong Man Soo, a single father of highschool teen, doing multiple part-time jobs to make the ends meet
# Lee Kwang Soo as Kim Seung Hyun, a nomad worker, always stressed about his financial and relationship status
# Kim Hye Jun as Eun Joo, a hardworking intern who gives her best but mad about the rude seniors and coworkers.
# Nam Da Reum as Jung Seung Tae, a student, not interested in schooling but cares a great deal about father
# Ko Chang Suk as the rescue team captain
# Kim Hong Pa as Department Head Seo

The ending of the movie was super overwhelming, I gotta admit. The way these people use their mind to rescue each other during extremely dangerous moments and also manage to get out of the sinkhole using their little intellect and comprehension was amazing and makes you tear up even. It ends with a mini reuinon of the survivors after years and that was a jolly closure to the misery.

FINE... SINKHOLE is definitely a good one time watch which is kinda refreshing too and best for a weekend movie slot. Don't expect too much from it but I'm sure it pleases you to some extent. Happy watching.

So very sad but also so very touching, beautiful and even kind of sweet.

This movie is really powerful, to be honest it is a bit grey and slightly depressing in the cinematography and did start off a bit slow, but the pace picks up as the story uniwines it will keep you on your toes and have you feel a whole range of emotions from anger to being touched, to wanting to fight some one and just utter despair... but you will also feel allot of love and want to just give the kid and his dad a big hug.

The characters in the movie are really well written and well played, the acting is spot on conveying emotions with both dialog and mimics as well as grey and depressing coloring, alongside some beautiful scenery. However the OST is barely present but the few music bits that are included may not be masterpieces but are extremely well fitted. To be completely honest the entertainment value is not very high but the depth, the issues and the story make up for it, life is not always about being entertained.

This movie deals with very deep and hard to handle issues, and has a bunch of potential triggers as well as some sexual content and though it did not make me cry I was pretty damn close to tears so do have some tissues or a good sleeve ready when you watch this.

All in all definitely a movie worth watching when you feel like seeing something sad...

Not a comedy, but way less serious than any other disaster films!

Probably just like some of you, I thought this movie was a silly comedy. Judging by the trailer, and by having Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Sung Kyun as the main casts, how serious can it be? I decided to watch this movie expecting it to be something that could make me laugh, something lighthearted and silly, but I was wrong.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked it. Quite a lot. It did have some silly scenes, but as the film goes on, it seemed a little forced, and I don’t think the comedy would go along well if they continued it until the end. Lee Kwang Soo can be as silly as always, and I did laugh in a few scenes here, but as a warning so that this film wouldn’t disappoint any of you guys, THIS IS NOT A COMEDY FILM. This is a film about a natural disaster, which mostly consists of serious and nervewracking scenes, and a teeny tiny bit of heart wrenching scenes.

All the casts did well here! Bravo! But it’s no surprise if its Cha Seung Won, Kim Sung Kyun, Lee Kwang Soo, Nam Da Reum and Kim Hye Jun, right? They are all excellent actors and actresses! However, some of the CGI effects bothered me at some point. It’s not that bad, but compared to EXIT or Along With The Gods that is also shooted almost fully in front of a green screen, Sinkhole could be done better.

But overall, it’s a great movie! The teamwork was super duper great! Loved the casts, loved the storyline, and I loved the movie! Totally enjoyable, an 8.5/10! ⭐️

This movie is a true masterpiece.
The aesthetics and cinematography in this movie are just pure art.
This movie is all about the atmosphere, melancholy and longing.
The soundtrack is so beautiful. It adds a lot and fits the atmosphere perfectly.
It is so astounding to me how this movie grabs your attention with very little dialogue and story.
There is no other movie that can deliver as much tension between the main cast as In the Mood for Love.
Everyone should watch this amazing piece of art at least once in their lifetime.

What a ride!

This movie is very fast phased! Everything happened very fast, running and chasing each other for a long time, plus will keep you on edge.

I just find some scenes frustrating, and wanted to smack the heads of the people who were there on the street. Jeez!!!! But over all, it it is worth your time to watch it as the characters are all great, from Jin Ki Joo acting as a person with disability to Wi Ha Joon's version of a psycho killer.

I am just simply amaze how fit and healthy they are! That was exhausting to watch, the chasing part!
