For some reason it it reminds me for indie film rather than duanju.
I watched this drama thanks to Tiktok advertisement and not really regret my choice. The topic is about older woman young man romance and this is one of the best one in duanju. I afraid this is most notable Wu Tian Hao and Lin Zixuan works. The cast team is doing gods works; excellent; the FL truly embodied a 29-year-old career woman, and ML resembled a 19-year-old young rich heir. I don't really buy the romance in this drama but the ambiguity wins me but i don't really want them to be together, This is the reason i give this drama 7 ratings. The director team is the best; the production quality is even better than some long dramas. The switching between long and short shots, and the subtle camera movements during scene transitions, are all incredibly skillful. I am not pro at videography but this drama has some indie film feels rather than usual duanju.
The plot was relatable, a rare find in short dramas with normal price levels and a realistic legal system. ML was a cunning, slightly naive heir to a wealthy family, while FL was a cunning, powerful female lawyer. Their age and social status created many problems, which they resolved, but throughout the series, they remained true to their hearts and steadfastly chose each other. It was a mutually supportive relationship between an older woman and a younger man.
Recommended if you like the logical plot about older woman and young man.

I was actually ready to watch the series before the movie, until I realized that they’re connected.
I really liked this film. It has the kind of story and intensity that I enjoy, and it kept me engaged the whole time.
This is definitely the type of movie/series I tend to like.

To My Beloved Thief: A Prince, A Thief, and a Love That Defies It All
At first, I was a bit reluctant to start this drama. But later, I decided to give it a shot—and that turned out to be a really good decision. The story revolves around a prince and an ordinary girl who becomes a thief because of her circumstances. It’s not just a simple love story; it has depth, emotions, and strong character arcs.
Eun Jo is definitely not your typical K-drama female lead who lets things happen to her. She’s strong, independent, and deeply cares for the people around her. That’s what made me like her even more.
And Yi Yeol… he’s the kind of character who truly raises standards. A man who is willing to leave the throne for the woman he loves—do I really need to say anything more? 🤭
Their story felt emotional, meaningful, and worth watching.
Overall, I’m really glad I gave this drama a chance. 💕

A beautiful and meaningful story.
Another drama that took me quite a while to finish—not because I didn’t like it, but because I wanted to savor every moment.South Wind Knows beautifully portrays a deep sense of commitment in many forms: commitment to work, passion, friendship, love, and life itself.
It truly knows how to leave a mark on both the heart and mind by presenting the different contexts and realities individuals go through. It captures the pain of standing at a crossroads and the quiet strength needed to accept whatever outcome comes. It’s a powerful reminder of how unpredictable life can be.
Although some storylines felt a bit disconnected at times, they still held meaning. Just like in real life, we encounter different challenges and find ourselves in unexpected situations at the most unpredictable moments. And that’s what made it feel so real.
I’m genuinely glad I watched this. I enjoyed it deeply. I cried with the characters. My heart broke when theirs did. It felt like I was right there with them—and to me, that’s what truly matters. I related.
Beautiful friendships ✅
Beautiful love ✅
A touching story of letting go ✅
A beautiful narrative of coping✅
A satisfying conclusion to a love story ✅
Beautiful OSTs ✅
Convincing and heartfelt acting ✅
And must I add, good-looking actors and actresses❓✅
While the main love story wrapped up beautifully, some parts were left open-ended. But that’s okay—because that’s reality.

Our Universe: Started with Hope, Ended in Disappointment
I started watching Our Universe because of Wooju, and honestly, the drama had a really good start. It showed a range of emotions and felt promising in the beginning, which kept me going. But as the story progressed, it slowly started losing my interest. The focus shifted more towards the female lead and the second male lead, and they were given a lot of screen time together. I understand how the story was supposed to end, but it still felt a bit unbalanced.
What disappointed me the most was Wooju’s character. I started this drama for him, but his story barely progressed as the episodes went on. It felt like his character was sidelined, which made it harder for me to stay invested.
I had pretty high expectations going into this drama, especially after the strong start, but it didn’t quite live up to them for me.
Maybe it works for others, but for me, it turned out to be a bit disappointing.

just a cute little story...
While Korea is flooding us with short mini-series, that's one of the few shorts from Japan. While nothing earthstattering, it was done quite well. Both actors seem a bit rough around the edges but they really tried hard. As it's often the case with JBLs, there is not a real kiss in it, which is a shame. The subtitles are also nothing to write home, were the timing was off or some sentences are not translated completely, but everyone should get the gist of what is said. The only fault is that phone-screens were not translated at all.
With a playtime of roughly 39 minutes it was entertaining and I think we should support such independent small productions. You can watch this series on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rDr99DNMhw&list=PLmz1FNoG1zYHVHiX7zTnjlixJi5YmDE4R&index=4

Pure cinema
Listen, guys—Season 2 doesn’t just deserve a watch... it’s mandatory viewing. From the new character intros to the way they weave in real-life stories seamlessly, this is hands down the best season yet. You’ll honestly want to binge the whole thing in one sitting. Also, the emotional moments? They hit hard. Was this review helpful to you?
Hurt people, hurt people and life's not fair
This drama was a very random watch for me, and i can say im completely satisfied.I had come across the title several times while scrolling on netflix but i just wasnt interested till a few days ago.
The casting director deserves as many pats on the back as possible. Every character was brilliantly casted.
The actors, i have no words but wow!!!!
I like that the drama was honest with us grom the very beginning, we knew what we were getting into but that still didnt protect us from the actual event.
I appreciate how, though we knew he wouldnt make it, the drama took us on a journey of hope because thats what life is about.
The chemistry between the 2 leads was sizzling. Would i ever be in such a relationship (definitely not) but they truly were meant for each other. No one understood them like them.
I would definitely be recommending this.

watch the whole series PLEASE
Highly recommend watching the entire series: it's pure entertainment. While season 2 was flawless (10/10) in my opinion, I found season 3 just as successful, though perhaps less captivating in some storylines. Even the characters' personal stories are highlighted. The variety of plotlines keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last episode. Was this review helpful to you?
Does that mean you shouldn't watch it? Absolutely not, it's still a great watch but I do think viewers NEED to understand it's importance to BL and Mainland China.
There are a lot of comments and reviews about consent. I think every viewer is going to have a different understanding of how consent worked throughout this show, and the translations did not help in most cases. If you pay attention to what Luoyin says in each scene, your perspective will change. I am not going to do any spoilers, because I think this is a show you have to watch for yourself.
If you keep in mind that this is Mainland China in 2015/2016, with two strong characters on polar opposite sides of the personality spectrum, the situations work for the story and relationship building between the two. To me, this was a story where Gu Hai was completely confident in himself without caring what anyone else in the world thinks and was open and free in expressing himself. His obsession with Luoyin is what made him fall in love and want to be the person Luoyin could rely on for the rest of his life. Luoyin though, has so many walls built from living his life that nothing else but Gu Hai's obsession was going to tear them down.
This show also portrayed a very different side to China than you generally get to see, the lower class and how they live. Sure one of the main plot points is the dependency between each families wealth, but normally you see the poor kid living with the rich family. This was completely opposite, and truly part of what makes this show great. Gu Hai and Bai Luo Yin were better people than other character in this show, and deserved any happiness they could find with each other.
I hate unfinished stories, so if I re-watch it I will end it just before the final scene (about the last 3mins). At least then it's just soft conclusion instead of a cliff hanger.

Boyfriend on Demand: A Fun Escape into a Little Fantasy
I recently watched Boyfriend on Demand, and it turned out to be quite a funny and enjoyable watch.A boyfriend on subscription? Completely unrealistic. But yeah… we girls do live in our own little fantasy world sometimes, and the idea of dating handsome men like that is just… 🥰
What makes this drama stand out is how different it feels from typical K-dramas. There’s no second lead syndrome, no heavy childhood trauma, no forced childhood connections between the leads—it keeps things simple and refreshing.
What I liked most is how lighthearted the drama feels. It’s perfect when you just want to relax without overthinking. The chemistry between the leads is sweet, and their interactions have that comforting, feel-good vibe.
At the same time, it subtly touches on something very real loneliness in today’s world. We all want someone in our lives who adds a little extra happiness, and here, the lead turns to a virtual boyfriend to fill that emotional gap. That aspect felt surprisingly relatable.
Of course, it’s a bit predictable, and some moments can feel cliché. But if you go in expecting something simple and heartwarming, it delivers exactly that.
Overall, it’s the kind of drama you watch when you just want to smile, escape reality for a bit, and unwind.

Mystic Pop-up Bar: A Hidden Gem That Heals
I finished watching this drama today. It was such a comforting and meaningful experience. At first, it feels like a fantasy drama about a mysterious bar, where people visit to resolve their grudges. As the story progresses the backstory of Wol Ju also unfolds.
Wol Ju is an amazingly written character. Her journey, along with Chief Gwi and Kang-bae, creates this beautiful found-family dynamic that feels genuine and heartwarming. Wol Ju’s motherly love is portrayed in such a touching way.
What I really loved is how the drama balances humor with heavy emotions. One moment you’re laughing, and the next, you’re tearing up. By the end, it leaves you with a sense of comfort, like a quiet reminder that healing is possible.
Definitely one of those underrated dramas that stays with you.

Rewatching Alchemy of Souls — Still Just as Magical
I finished rewatching Alchemy of Souls today, and honestly, it still hits just as hard. There’s something about this drama that pulls me in every single time. The whole concept of soul shifting and the world of mages feels so unique, but what really stays with me is the emotional depth. Mu-deok’s character always gets to me—her struggle with identity, power, and vulnerability feels even more intense on a rewatch.
And Jang Uk… I think I appreciated his character even more this time. His growth from someone lost and reckless to someone strong and determined feels so satisfying to watch again. The chemistry between him and Mu-deok is just beautiful—it’s subtle, emotional, and very real.
Visually, the drama is still stunning. The costumes, the sets, the whole magical atmosphere—it all feels so rich and detailed. And the OST… it instantly brings back so many emotions.
Rewatching it just reminded me why I loved it so much in the first place. It’s not just a fantasy drama—it’s about love, identity, sacrifice, and the consequences of power. And it stays with you even after it ends.

A sleek chic thriller with a deep message but hasty writing and rushed finale
pros: solid acting, great cinematography, strong social commentary message at heart, thriller that leaves questioning who is who right till the end.cons: chatacters with no depth, story full of plot holes.
the story while it was sharp and intriguing at first pulling the viewer in with not just a whodunit mystery, but the identity of the victim was also left a mystery most of the series. the high paced thriller was so engaging it was easy to look past the glaring convenient coincidences that were utilized to help push the plot faster (for example: fellow detective who happens to recall years-old closed case's suspect's name, a Polaroid picture hanging on the walls of a Cafe near a reservoir where said suspect supposedly committed suicide, the detective who poses as a line sitter to approach the ex-employee who happens to be best buddies with someone who knew FL prior to taking on the Sarah kim persona... and many more)
the more the story progressed and we neared the finale where all loose ends should have been tied, the more we encountered more loose ends. the mystery was built in a way that kept the viewer guessing and imagining different possible scenarios which was a good thing from a writing stand point, but unfortunately the wrapup of all these different possibilities hwas unsatisfactory and rushed.
the intriguing mystery was heightened the moment the fact that someone had been impersonating Sarah kim in public was introduced. And I bet most of the viewers must have then had the same idea as me; "what if the Sarah kim we are looking at was fake"; just a poor girl who stole the name and identity of a real rich cheabol to build up this whole "luxury" brand name from thin air. nay, there is another more intriguing possibility, that the whole con job was a Matroska doll, and that she was faking the identity of the "real" Sarah Kim made possible by the fact that the "real" had been a manufactured luxurious fake right from the get-go, in other terms the con woman was impersonating another con woman.
Though the interrogation parts were enjoyable and felt like a battle of wits, especially when she was faced with the possibilty that her creation and life's work BouDoir was at risk, and she came up with the only solution which was to abandon her persona as CEO of Boudoir. though on paper that seemed smart the intricate details the writers used to work this plotpoint were anything but smart.
I mean, the question of her true identity to merely hinge on a mere vile of tissue sample just didn't make sense imo! she had been acting the part of Sarah Kim for years at that point, during which multiple business heads must have dealt with her, and she surely interacted with dozens of people on a personal level, it couldn't have just been the nox ceo or the department store ceo or her male-host spy who all had reasons to lie to cover for their own mistakes or crimes, there must have been many others among which is her fake marriage partner for God's sake, that could have testified to whether she was Sarah kim or some other nobody who was impersonating her.
details about her past as Mok Ga Hui was left a mystery and I believe that that was a choice by the writers, they chose to leave us scraching our heads about who she really was, who was Mok Ga Hui truely as a person, was she simply an ex-department store employee who landed the job by faking credentials on her resume with ambitions to make it big and becoming rich? or was there some prior mysterious background story behind that person. The possibility wasn't nill that she had a similar background to her future impersonator (Kim mijeong the counterfeit bag artisan), and that she maybe could have used counterfeit ID cards to land the job and she never had proper social identification number.
But considering the fact that she was investigated for fraud selling the brand items she baught via the employee sale with her colleaugues' stolen cards, to ask us to believe that during the investigation back then and even now the police could not manage to find enough background data about her that could help now prove whether she was the real con-artist Sarah Kim who murdered the impersonator, or if she was the fake impersonator Kim Mijeong who murdered the real Sarah Kim to steal her identity, I guess it is either police incompetence or just lazy writing.
wrapping up all loose ends during the finale was too rushed, and the fact that most of the crime solving depended not on solid evidences but majorly on mere speculations from the detective just didn't feel right. and even if we are made to believe that he ultimately chose not to pursue the matter and let her get her way, the whole matter left a bad taste in the mouth, especially considering the fact a life was taken and the only punishment she got was a measly 10 years sentence, and her fake business was left untouched and prosperous felt like a cheat.
on another side note, there were also parts that were brushed too quickly and left me wondering why they were never properly addressed with a reavealing flashback like other plots. like for example, their first encounter on the stairs to the police station when he offered her his tie to wipe her tears and she was wearing a cast on her leg, I was able to deduce that that probably was after she had been abducted by her business partner nox ceo's henchmen to pay back what she owed, and she had went to the police to press charges using her past employee's ID? was she pretending to have a broken leg to get better compensation? is the "one week" she was muttering to herself about was the time left until the Boudoir opening party? did she leave that tie behind after cleaning up the old store on purpose? that felt too oddly convenient. Another instance, was when her lawn Shark/ ex-husband sees her running away from the murder scene with bloody hands, did that actually happen or was it speculation? if so then that must have been prior to his testimony to the police, which would then mean that he was positive at that point that she was not the true murder victim but most probably rather the culprit? these small parts bothered me, much more than the John doe corpse at the reservoir which seemed to bother other viewers here on MDL, I was able to brush by this part but the other ones I wish were properly addressed and covered at least with a small flashback or monologue or anything,.
all In all it was a good fast paced thriller murder mystery, and yes imo there were flaws with the story and writing, and the main leads' character could have been given more background to give them depth, but still it was a fun and thrilling watch.

Wholesome
This was cute but boring.I love the manga, and I know that in a series adaptation it will never be the same, which is why this was cute and nicely paced, but still a bit boring.
I did like the OST. What I was missing, though, was more animal interaction. I mean, Shizuma is a vet, and the brother is supposed to own a rabbit shop, so they should have included that more in the series.
If you want to watch something wholesome, then this is the series for you.
The characters were likable, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, but the story sometimes felt a bit too slow, and not much really happened. I was hoping for a bit more emotional depth and character development.
