Good for a dull moment
It started off well—the first few episodes were promising—but the more episodes that followed, the more boring it actually became. I expected more from it. It also wasn’t very believable that a man in his 30s could still react so prudish to an innocent kiss. I missed the romantic chemistry between the two main characters; it was a bit lackluster. And that’s despite the fact that Jung Hae In has delivered such strong performances in previous productions.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
The movie is a great watch
The movie is entertaining enough to watch, without skipping ,no slow pace, great action. The female lead is bad ass in a good way. Straight forward story line. Figuring out who's the mole is the only mystery in the movie.I wish there are a little more romance.
The show is available to watch on Iqiyi network. Under the title Reckoning day.

Lack chemistry and ML was stiff as wood
Actually i watched this drama last year and realized Qiu Zhe Fu was on Chai chai drama and this is his debut as ML. For the main character debutant, he is stiff as rock and Wen Zhi Cheng stole the spotlight for the acting and chemistry with Zhai Xingran. Actually the ML and FL characterization was solid until SML found out ML identity it feels too rushed. The plot was actually generic about FL felt out with SML and fell into ML arms who is SML uncle. The chemistry between the couple was too awkward and felt Zhai Xingran was tried all out and i feel bad for her. Only for hardcore fans of the main leads.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

The Madhouse Got Bigger and I Said “Sure, Why Not?”
(WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Any Emotional Damage)So Season 2 basically takes everything I loved about Season 1 and says, “Okay, now let's make it bigger.”
And honestly?
I'm not mad about it.
In the first season, we were introduced to the five factions and the basic history of how S.W.O.R.D. came to exist. Season 2 starts letting us see those factions really move into action, and the storyline gets deeper while the stakes start getting higher.
This season feels less like an introduction and more like we're finally getting into the meat of the story.
The chaos between the different factions and the Iemura Group keeps everything moving, while the Mighty Warriors slowly make their way further into the action. They were introduced at the end of Season 1, so obviously I was curious about what they were going to do, and watching them gradually become part of everything was a great way to build them up.
We also get more of the past this season, which I really liked. Getting more history behind the characters and their relationships makes the whole universe feel more connected. There are all these different factions running around, but they're not existing in completely separate little bubbles. Their histories overlap, their grudges overlap, and eventually all those connections come back around.
And then there's the soundtrack.
Still fricking amazing.
Seriously, the music in this franchise is ridiculous. I thought Season 1 had a phenomenal soundtrack, and Season 2 absolutely keeps that going. And I already mentioned the Oya High “Jump” situation, but I have to say it again because it is just such a perfect choice for them.
Every time that song starts playing, I know Oya High is about to bring some nonsense.
And I am here for it.
The fight scenes are also still a class act. High&Low has figured out exactly what kind of action it wants to deliver, and it does it ridiculously well. The fights aren't just there because the story is about gangs; they're a huge part of the identity of the series, and they continue to be some of my favorite moments.
And yes, before anyone asks:
The RUDE BOYS are still my favorite faction.
The parkour remains fantastic, and every time they come on screen I'm still watching like 👀.
At this point, I'm two seasons deep into this wonderfully crafted madhouse filled with hot men, killer soundtracks, and epic fight scenes, and I have absolutely no intention of stopping.
Because apparently I live here now.

Those Were Scary Monkeys
Bai Lu did a masterful job of playing the kind, broken-brained killer, Ye Li. She had solid reasons for her revenge, and I wanted her to succeed in unraveling her four little death dolls, even when I was concerned her actions would cause her to self-destruct.An arranged marriage paired her with an equally traumatized individual, Mo Xiu Yao. He had every reason to question why he'd been paired with a politically volatile wife; his life had been made miserable by the Empress Dowager, and she'd been the one to assign the marriage. Ryan Cheng shone in his portrayal of a bitter, suspicious husband. The struggle for him to accept and understand Ye Li was the most engaging part of the drama. I especially enjoyed when he was secretly observing Ye Li: his quizzical looks when she was talking to herself; his amused looks when she was being endearing; and his tender looks when she was interacting with his family.
Many dramas instantly "heal" trauma when the protagonist faces her fears and embraces reality. Ye Li confronted the horrible truth of what had happened to her, and she accepted that she'd led a life of fantasy in order to cope; she would be able to maintain a seemingly normal life (with the support of loved ones) from then on. But she was far from normal. As long as she had the love of Xiu Yao and life went well, she could function well. But nobody better impinge on her loved ones, or I believe her psychopathic tendencies would lead her to remedy the problem by making them fertilizer for her flowers.
The OST was outstanding. I loved the song song "Love isn't Just Romance."

Pretty Men, Punches, Parkour & No Self-Control
(WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Any Emotional Damage)Okay, first of all, this show is SUPER EXCELLENT.
There is honestly nothing I can say about it that was wrong for me, and there really wasn't anything I didn't like. I came into this after Weak Hero, looking for action, and High&Low basically said, “Oh, you want action? Let me introduce you to an entire universe of gangs.”
And I was absolutely here for it.
The storyline of S.W.O.R.D. is essentially the introduction to this whole world. We get the history of Mugen, the legendary organization that once ruled the entire city, and what happened after they disbanded. That power vacuum created five factions, each taking over different parts of the city, and those factions became Sanno Rengokai, White Rascals, Oya High, RUDE BOYS, and Daruma Gurentai.
And while all five factions play a major role, the main basis of the story is centered around Sanno Rengokai. We're introduced to their members, their relationships, their history, and how everything begins to spiral into the larger conflict between the different groups.
But I'm going to say it right here and right now:
THE RUDE BOYS WERE MY FAVORITE.
The parkour was AMAZING.
Every single time those guys came on screen, I was immediately paying attention. It was thrilling watching them move through the city, and those sequences gave the show an entirely different kind of action compared to the straight-up fighting. I loved it.
Actually, let's talk about the fight scenes because some of those fights were PURE MAGIC.
I could not take my eyes off the screen. There were moments where I was so invested in what was happening that I waited until I absolutely could not stand it anymore before taking a restroom break. 😂
That's commitment.
But honestly, one of the biggest things that made this show work for me was the fact that every faction had its own identity. They weren't just five groups of guys wearing different clothes and punching each other. Each one had its own personality, aesthetic, fighting style, and place in the overall story, which made the whole thing feel much bigger than a basic gang drama.
And then we have the soundtrack.
OH. MY. GOD.
The soundtrack was phenomenal.
Absolutely PHENOMENAL.
The music was such a huge part of the experience for me. It wasn't just sitting underneath the action; it helped create the atmosphere and made those already-insane scenes hit even harder. There were moments when the music kicked in and I was basically like, Yep. Here we go.
And this is probably a good time to point out something else I appreciated:
There is no romance.
Whatsoever.
Okay, there is some flirting here and there, but actual romance? Nope.
And you know what?
It doesn't need it.
This story doesn't need somebody stopping in the middle of a gang war to have a fifteen-minute conversation about their feelings. 😂 The friendships, loyalty, rivalries, grudges, and relationships between the different factions are more than enough to carry the story.
Honestly, after watching this, I completely understand why High&Low has such a huge franchise around it. This first season feels like an introduction to a much bigger world, and instead of overwhelming me with all of these different groups, it made me want to know more about every single one.
Which is exactly how I ended up continuing the franchise.
Because apparently I have no self-control.
And now I'm watching all of it.

Some things could have been done better
There were way too much flashbacks these time and some things really really could have done better and have more of a punch and some things were done well but could have really pushed the envelope on teamwork, and awesome planning.1. Pasin could have just written on a piece of paper that he has a chip and his son is in danger. I fwd a lot of Jinman in thai coz half the time it was just a mess. this part was just no compelling and seeing Pasin turn on his team looking like a soulless robot was just stupid when he could have somewhat conveyed the msg, they could have used the chip and gave wrong intel while working on saving the son and removing the chip.
2. Jian half the time trying too hard to hate on the uncle without understand Babylon history.
3. Bale getting killed by Jinman in the dark, that was not a worthy ending. He should have been there with that jap korean woman at the end fighting the last fight. Jian kills the lady and jinman kills bale. that would have been a worthy ending.
4. the shooting and fighting at the end was kind of meh. they were a whole lot fighting against 1 woman.
5. except for unni and brother from s1, the rest their relationships with Jian are not really developed and its hard to believe they are even close.
some revelations just did not pull the wow punch at all. it was kind of ok so that happen.

Bittersweet, Sad but Satisfying Ending
When both of them don't want to live without each other's presence, then death is the only answer.Xiao Shitou and Xiao Zhuzi, two orphans who tried to survive their arduous childhood life but had to be forcefully separated.
I actually never like such a sad ending drama, but this time this is the only perfect ending.
Separated for so many years then finally able to find each other again, how can they be willing to be separated again?
Life and death together for sure.
Obviously if one is willing to die to protect, the other one is definitely willing to die as well.
24 episodes with 13-15 minutes duration per episode. No drama without loopholes and weakness, this short drama has those too.
But for short-length drama, the execution is done quite well.
The cut scenes between episodes or in the middle of each episode is done nicely.
The actors, I never watch Zhang Jing Yun in any drama before but he played the hot-headed Xu You'an [Xiao Shitou] very well.
Zhao Huan Ran as Rong Xiaonan [Xiao Zhuzi], I've seen him several times as a supporting role in many dramas, he usually took the role of wicked and cunning villain character. This change type of role is quite refreshing.
Ji Shu Yi as the naive but kindhearted Jiang Chun'er, a rare female character who is not annoying as hell.
The OST is quite nice too, the lyrics really represent the entanglement of the 3 characters, especially between Shitou an Zhuzi.
Simply put, it's worth-watching short length drama. Worth to rewatch as well if you lack of any new movie/drama materials to watch.
Thank you 😊👋🏼💐

Just like the first season
The second season picks up pretty much where the first one ended. I'm giving it a rating higher by 0.5 only due to the side couple. Yet again it's not a bad series, I'd even argue it's pretty good,, but it's just nothing special, honestly.Things I liked:
1. I really enjoyed seeing more of the side couple. They were my biggest motivation to watch season 2. We got more of their story in more depth, and I'm so happy we got to see them happy together.
2. Humor. Yet again, the second season is pretty much like the first season, mostly relying on the humor.
Things I disliked:
1. Misunderstandings on misunderstandings. I didn't hate it, obviously the whole plot is just focused on them, but enough is enough.
2. I really hoped to see more romance from the main couple.

"Where Justice and Love Find Each Other"
Written by JD, directed by Yang Kyung-hee, and based on the web novel by He Bok, The Prosecutor's Proposal is a 2026 Korean BL crime romance starring Kim Yoon-sik and Park Si-woo.Wikipedia
Fifteen years ago a murder destroyed two boys' lives. One became the son of the victim, the other the son of the killer. Years later they end up in the same prosecutor's office. And nothing is ever the same again.
DramaBL
Yoon-sik as Tae-seon is EVERYTHING. Tall, cold, intense, the kind of character who barely speaks but says everything with his eyes. And Siwoo as Chae-ha, the mini version who looks soft but carries so much quietly. These two together just work in a way that is hard to explain. The slow burn, the tension, the push and pull between them had me completely hooked. And their kisses? So passionate and raw, nothing felt scripted, everything felt lived in and real.
Director Yang Kyung-hee kept the tone dark and gripping, making the romance and the crime investigation feel like two sides of the same story. The OST is gorgeous, hits exactly when it needs to.
DramaBL
Honestly one of the best Korean BLs out there. The cast, the story, the chemistry, all of it just lands perfectly.
Do not sleep on this one. 💕✨

A Refreshing Kind of Love Story: Can This Love Be Translated? Actually Understood Me
I went in not expecting much, honestly, because Korean romance dramas can get repetitive. But Can This Love Be Translated? completely surprised me, and I have to say it: this one was good. Really good. Finally, a story that isn't the "same old" romance
What I loved most is that this drama didn't feel like another typical melodrama or the same recycled romance formula we've all seen a hundred times. It felt new, it felt different, and that alone made it stand out for me. Everything about it, from the concept to the execution, felt like a breath of fresh air.
The acting, the chemistry, zero cringe
The cast delivered the face cards so well, honestly, visually this drama is a treat. But beyond looks, the acting itself was perfect. The chemistry between the leads felt natural and easy, and I want to highlight this specifically: there wasn't a single cringe moment in the entire series. Not one. That's genuinely rare, and it says a lot about how well everything was written and performed.
Kim Seon-ho as Joo Ho-jin
I'm a fan of Kim Seon-ho ever since The Childe, and I already knew he was a good actor going in. This drama only confirmed it further. As Joo Ho-jin, the reserved, precise interpreter who slowly lets his walls down, he brought such a grounded, quietly compelling performance. He didn't need big dramatic outbursts to make me feel for his character. The subtlety was the whole point, and he nailed it.
Go Youn-jung as Cha Mu-hee
I also know Go Youn-jung from Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, and she is such a talented actress. As Cha Mu-hee, she carried so many layers: the confident star persona on the surface, and the fragile, complicated person underneath. Watching her navigate both sides of the character was one of the best parts of the drama for me.
My first time watching a Japanese actor in a K-drama
Here's something I didn't expect going in: this was the first time I ever watched a Japanese actor in a drama. I'm not a fan of Japanese dramas and I've never really watched any, so this was completely new territory for me. But the actor playing Hiro was genuinely good, and he made the character easy to root for. I'll admit I felt a little sad seeing him not end up with the female lead by the end, he deserved better, honestly, but at the same time, I was happy because the one who did get her was Kim Seon-ho, so I can't really complain either way.
The scenery deserves its own applause
I also have to talk about the locations, because they were fantastic. This drama was filmed across so many different places (Japan, Canada, Italy, and more), and every single location added its own charm to the story. Watching the leads travel from one breathtaking backdrop to another made the whole experience feel so much bigger and more immersive, almost like the scenery itself was another character in the story. It's not often a drama gives you this much visual variety, and it made every episode even more beautiful to watch.
The music hit just right too
The soundtrack deserves a mention as well. The music/songs were really good overall, and the romantic one especially stood out to me. It fit those soft, tender moments between the leads so perfectly that it made the emotional scenes hit even harder. A good OST can really elevate a drama, and this one did exactly that.
The supporting cast
The supporting leads did a wonderful job too, rounding out the story and adding depth to the world without ever pulling focus away from the leads.
Final thoughts
Overall, this drama is genuinely one of the best I've seen. Beyond the romance, it tells us something beautiful about understanding others: about patience, communication, and really trying to see people for who they are, not just how they appear. It's easily one of the few Korean dramas of 2026 that I truly, wholeheartedly love.
Highly recommended. 🌸

The enemy of my enemy is my friend…
A botched black operation brought 3 unsuspecting individuals to Yeonseong Island to live the next 10 years of their lives looking for leads of a package that went missing during the operation. Jung Homyeong, an ex-NIS black op agent who was framed by his superior to collude with North Korea in the operation now works in a restaurant owned by his wife. Bong “Bulgae”Jesun, a North Korean super secret agent fell off the ferry during the operation and swept off to Jeoseong island, lost his memory of his past life and identity, eventually end up living with the family that saved him, secured a decent job in a construction company. Kang Bomryeong was the no 2 person of the Hwasan Gang, but when his boss Hwang Hwasan was framed by Jung Homyeong’s superior for murder and end up imprisoned, the no3 guy betrayed him to take over the group, forcing him to drop under the radar and open up a convenience store on the island with his assistant Ma Gongbok while surveilling Jung Homyeong’s moves. A twist of fate brought them all together when the local gang starts seizing the island residents’ homes and land, working in collusion with the upcoming mayor candidate, Han Gyunguk who is also the one who framed Jung Homyeong and Kang Bomryeong’s boss. Seeking revenge and closure, all three end up working together hand in hand despite being mortal enemies 10 years prior.I like it when productions give veteran actors a chance at dominating the lead positions and not plaster pretty idol boys all over the screen. This show is one of those. We got scrunchy (Bomryeong), grumpy (Homyeong) and clueless (Jesun) ajussis just going through their days like any normal middle-aged ajussis when thunder struck and theyre thrown to relive their old lives but now dealing with fatigue, cranky joints and lethargic muscles that come with old age. Realizing that theyre in no condition to go off solo fighting multiple younger and more robust opponents, all three resigned to the idea of teaming up instead of feeding their ego. My favourite fighting style of all three is the North Korean agent Bulgae’s, while in terms of negotiation and leadership skills it had to be Homyeong’s. He even looks more mature and objective-driven than the others.
The plot was really simple. They were trying to secure a package that contains information of Han Gyunguk’s collusion with the North Korea and a bunch of slush fund in the form of diamonds that was brought in by a sleeper agent. The package had been in Bulgae’s posession when he fell off the ferry but then he lost his memories hence he is also looking for it. It is a race against time as the villain is running for mayor and they needed to secure the evidence before he wins the election.
The plot is very straightforward, but the journey towards them banding together as a team to bring down the villain was not. Each character was at each other’s throats 10years ago on the ferry, hence the decision to team up had not come easy. Somebody who doesnt have enough patience for some family drama and misunderstandings might not find this drama appealing. But i can say the action is very satisfying and the ending serves justice on a silver platter.
It was a fun watch indeed, something different and fresh compared to the current overload of pretty boys and girls lining up the main cast.

Communication is Key
(Watched on Vigloo)So I loved (almost) everything about it. I'll try to reduce the spoilers to a minimum. (And put a warning where an actual story spoiler will be dropped)
If you love melodrama, you're in for a ride.
The story focuses on Waka, an employee in design, who has trouble in her couple with Takato. While they're not arguing and even spend time together, they're not sleeping together. He hasn't touched her for a long time which starts to show as an issue from the get-go of the show.
The show begins its plot straight away with Minami, Waka's best friend, asking her to sleep with her husband, Toya.
And from there, the loaded question unravels a serie of events.
If I had to summarize the story, it would be: communication is key.
Indeed, throughout the episodes, we see where things left unsaid can lead to. And, while the focus is on Waka, we do see characters outside Waka's spectrum. Especially, the second couple (Minami/Rei) and we can witness the directions taken by each couple and it's quite interesting to see how human mind work: what can trigger someone to cheat? Is it possible to separate love and body? Can a couple survive one of them cheating? How could we handle the guilt? How far do we go for love?
The story, despite the format, is truly well put together and very much human.
As stated previously, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's one support character I didn't like because of her attitude, however she's an interesting character nonetheless.
If you have the chance to watch it, just do it, do it, do it, do it (ohnanananana)
[SPOILERS below]
The ending was good but it was not the best possible outcome.
I'm not sure I'm satisfied with it, it's implied that Takato and Waka get back together even though it's not shown. And, because some things were never really said, that could lead (in real life) to some trust issues since Waka cheated once she could definitely arouse suspicions in Taka's mind in the future far more easily. And Waka herself she could succumb to the allure again even though the circumstances are different but she did it once.
I have one big issue with the story, Takato never learns what pushed Waka to the edge.
Waka, despite being threaten by Manami saying she would divorce her husband (Toya) if Waka didn't sleep with him (Btw, which best friend would even say that?!) wasn't very keen on the idea.
But, the day Takato decides to give a try at night with Waka. Waka overhears him saying to a colleague (Oki) that he didn't want to sleep with her and HOPE she would get an affair which was a crazy thing to say even as a joke. And Waka who already had someone who was up for it just jump on the occasion. I fear like a lot of people in that situation:
- her husband not wanting to touch her FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS (she explains that during those 3 years of marriage they didn't sleep together but the issue started earlier)
- Her best friend offering her her husband who is willing to do it
- Overhearing her husband not wanting to touch her AND hoping she would get an affair
Would probably jump on the chance since it was there. It's not a question of loyalty but a question of how your mind handle hearing your husband saying such a thing. You never tell her about your reticence (always blaming it on workload) and wishing to get an affair, literally pushing her unto the devil's lap.
I DO NOT condone cheating but the reasons why it started make absolute sense.
A part of this was reveal to Waka at some point where, during a scene where Takato wanted to try to sleep with her, (Ep. 39) he did say something along the lines of "Sorry, could you arouse me?" some people feels like it's a weird thing to ask, and definitely, very awkward for Waka WHO HASN'T been touched for YEARS WITHOUT A PROPER EXPLANATION (Never thought I'd been rooting for a cheater but that show made me do it).
However, in case men read this, it's normal to have some... limp time (plenty of factors can be a cause) BUT if there's an issue with it with your wife, YOU SHOULD TALK FIRST WITH HER BEFORE FORCING YOURSELF TO BED. Make her know what's wrong.
Takato explained it to his colleague (Oki), saying that he didn't see is wife a woman just as family (crazy right? I know) so he didn't feel aroused and things could have been simply fixed with a little talk: they could have roleplayed or she could have wear some lingerie or makeup, something so he could see her as the woman she was.
As for the second couple, the boat was already sinking since Minami felt grossed out by touching Toya. It wasn't clearly explained but it seems like she didn't want to touch Toya anymore. No sign of domestic violence quite the contrary. It seemed like Toya was too loving and/or wanted sex too many times.
So rather than finding a middle ground between the two of them, they decided to add one married women, Waka, fine in her couple despite the issue with an enticing offer (Sex with the husband with no love involve). Thing is, when, people interact intimately (not just sex but in physical contact in general) repetitively there's bound to be some growing fondness (but that's part of the story plot 👀)
Honestly, Minami is the worst best friend possible. From her request alone, it was doomed and I'm glad Waka cut ties with her by the end of the story.
I won't spoil the worst move she did because I want you, reader, to experience it when you watch it. You will see it coming for miles away but when it happens it's still frustrating to see for Waka and Takato.
In case your want to know who I hate, it's not even Minami, it's Miyu. Even without the main plot, she wanted to wreck a seemingly fine mariage just because she finds Takato handsome. And when she invites him to caress her to get aroused, and think about it while doing it with his wife, I was grossed out. GROSS GROSS GROSS.
I swear even the devil was shocked by her audacity. But at least, she was a way to highlight Takato's conflict.
This drama filled my drama dose for the day. I had mixed feelings at the start because I'm really not into cheating stories but that one gave me a broad spectrum of emotions and was a honest surprise from this format.
I do recommend to give it a good watch if possible. It's a good one.
Thanks for reading.
