Everything about it feels completely unnatural. This is a truly awful adaptation of the novel.
If they were going to change this much, they might as well have given it a new title and written an original plot from scratch. In the historical context of that era, a woman couldn't just remain stuck in fiancé limbo for five years, leaving the man free to set the wedding date whenever he felt like it. Unless they were observing a mourning period, the marriage should have taken place as soon as possible after the betrothal. A woman in that position—where a man freely comes and goes from her home the way the male lead does—would face extreme vulnerability if he were to die. She would have zero protection. All properties and businesses would be claimed by male relatives of the clan. In her case, she has no such backing because she forged a new identity as a woman from the Xie clan [ her mother's clan ], which essentially makes her shop an illegal, unregistered business or can registered only by Xie's man and belongs to them.
This makes the male lead look utterly selfish. He only cares about pursuing his ambitions and climbing the career ladder, without giving a thought to what would happen to the woman he loves if his high-risk work got him killed.
Furthermore, the female lead pulling strings to secure an official post for her sister-in-law's brother just to help him is completely out of line. They aren't even married yet, and he never asked for her interference. Doing that merely as his lover is a massive overstep.
When adapting the script, they clearly wanted to delay the wedding and pile on obstacles just to force a "slow-burn" romance. But instead of being satisfying, it opened up glaring plot holes, ruined the core personalities of both leads, and completely disregarded the historical setting.

Ah… Almost!
Who on earth could possibly resist temptation when the "demon” looks like Barth?! 😭😭😭Gemini and Fourth are easily GMMTV’s most beloved, golden-standard pair right now. Year after year, they consistently land top-tier, high-production series, and their chemistry never misses. Frankly, they don't have a single project in their filmography that I can even critique. Their acting, comedic timing, and emotional delivery are always phenomenal.
However… (hear me out), I was actually fully prepared and braced for a gut-wrenching sad ending. But it feels like GMMTV just wasn't ready to take that emotional risk and face the wrath of heartbroken fans! This story was prime material for a devastating, poetic tragic finale, and a bittersweet ending would have given the narrative so much more lasting weight. If they had actually committed to a heartbreaking climax instead of wrapping everything up so neatly, I probably would’ve given it a solid 5-star rating without hesitation.
Well, scratch that! there's still one glaring detail that totally broke the immersion for me: How on earth do Barth and Tan still look completely identical 20 years later without aging a single day?! Seriously, guys? 😭 Not a wrinkle, not a different hairstyle, absolutely nothing changed over two whole decades! A little aging makeup or subtle styling shift would have gone a long way for realism.

Suddenly one fine day in 2026 I got a thought about something like how can a broke-up couple go back to jiggle jiggle wiggle wiggleAnd all the dramas I have watched in my early college days got flashed into my eyes :P
I was a big running man fan at that time and cherished jiyo more than ever ~ even though I pitied the second lead eventually I hoped the main lead would rejoin but now I just found out he is a major RED FLAG and frontal lobe maturity is NO JOKE :P
DAMN SHE MISSED A GREEN FOREST SECOND LEAD SAD

not to glaze but
this show was really amazing, I’ve learned a few things and it honestly gave me a new perspective. and I’m pretty sure it can give anyone else who watches this one too.the story was lowkey well written. I think the show really shows real situations that many people could’ve experienced. and how talking to a professional could help. so I hope watching this brings trust too, when it comes up to therapy. and then ichito backstory, was also well written. it was quite crazy too. they did a good job showing the struggle n problem he had and how he has overcome it. in my opinion this is worth a watch

Was it worth it watching? Maybe. Rewatching? Not at all
I didn't intend to watch this series at first, I was just curious, but I admit I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers trope. Also I already knew Santa from Between us and Gmmtv series so I wanted to see his origins, and that's why I kept watching.Overall
the first episodes made me feel like a Cdrama; we get to see the characters just doing their things, enjoying their youth but there aren't many advances in the romantic part, that's one of the things I like about P'New series, that the plot revolves around friendship and youth not only romance. The pacing was a little slow, I admit I didn't pay much attention to what people were saying in the first episodes, but I was entertained after all. Santa's and Earth chemistry was good, I like their dynamic in the series.
The time-jump I think it was a good resource to make the characters grow in order to have a healthy relationship in the future, they were too dependent on each other, especially Seeiw on Cake. I'm glad Seeiw learned to be independent and more outgoing.
Things I didn't like:
* Cake's romantic feelings: they appeared out of nowhere, I think that irl when you already know someone for so long and eventually develop feelings, it's because something change, it isn't completely out of the blue. The whole event of almost loosing him wasn't enough of a reason for me.
* Cake's jealousy attitute: I'm not sure if it was out of character or not, but I got uncomfortable while watching it. I understand the jealousy part, but I didn't understand why he got so confrontative and agressive towards Seeiw.
* The relationship of Seeiw's sister and Cake's friend: I don't understand why they bother to put them together if they never showed us why they had interest in each other to begin with, Cake's friend saw her once and that was enough for him to have a long-time crush on her. I feel like a missed something.
* The dating phase: the period when Cake and Seeiw started dating was so short. We didn't get to see what changed between being friends to being lovers, I would have liked more couple dynamics from them, like going on dates together.
* The ending: I didn't like it. Seeiw's mom death was unnecessary in my opinion, what was the point of it? I felt it was forced drama, followed by suddenly bringing in Seeiw's dad whom we barely knew of. If Seeiw resentment was consuming him or affecting his life somehow it would have made more sense, but he was perfectly fine without him.
* Age-gap: Not gonna lie acknowledging Santa was just 17 during the series and Earth was 26 bothered me a little, I think Earth did a great job but I would have been more comfortable if director had chosen an actor closer to the character age, for the sake of accuracy.

Our Sticky Love — A Warm, Comforting Story That Knows When Not to Rush
I just finished watching Our Sticky Love, and honestly, it was such a soothing and comforting drama. The story was beautifully written, with characters and relationships that felt warm, natural, and easy to connect with. One thing I especially loved was how the drama didn't simply end when the main story was resolved. Instead, it took the time to show the characters' daily lives afterward—the little moments, adjustments, and continuation of their relationships. For me, that made the ending feel much more meaningful. Life doesn't suddenly stop after the big confession, the conflict, or the happily-ever-after moment, and I appreciated that the drama understood that.
I've seen some people complain that the drama was too long, but I think that depends on what you're looking for. If you watch K-dramas mainly for lavish lifestyles, exaggerated melodrama, shocking twists, and constant chaos, then maybe this isn't the drama for you. And honestly, that's okay.
You could simply stop after episode 9 if you feel the story has given you what you wanted.
But there's no need to complain about a drama for being slow, gentle, and interested in the everyday lives of its characters when that's exactly what makes it special. Not every story needs unnecessary twists or dramatic disasters just to keep things exciting.
Sometimes, it's nice to simply stay with the characters a little longer—and Our Sticky Love does that beautifully. 🤍

Ridiculous nonsense
I love fantasy dramas, except for this one. What a mess! The storyline is all over the place, mostly boring and greatly confusing. The story starts out somewhat interesting but within a few episodes it goes downhill. We have a female character Li Fei, who is good at absolutely nothing, yet she gets into the prestigious Academy and cult, and of course all the male members are in deep Love with her. Heck, she even wins a tournament over thousands of talented participants with no skills at all. OH Please.....why insulting your viewers intelligence over and over again? Then we have the ML who is supposed to be a once in a Century genius/talent with great powers and yet who is the only one who constantly gets hurt throughout the whole show. Heck, he even gets killed once. Constant hurt, treatments, hurt, treatment, more injuries, more treatments...on and on it goes . The same theme recurring throughout the whole show over and over and over again, few hand moves ML gets hurt, spitting blood, more hand moves FL gets hurt, spitting blood then someone else get hurt, then a whole clan get hurt, spitting blood and more of the same. Extremely boring and senseless. Also very confusing with all the different secs and different people with different level of powers and yet somehow, the most powerful get beaten by pretty much everybody i.e. the Demon Lord and also Li Fei almot always get injured.
There is absolutely no substance or meaning to most of the scenes, then all the bad guys who already got killed they all come back to life and hand out more hurts. then they get eliminated again and back again...over and over. No romance, no intelligent plots or interesting storyline to hold the viewer's attention.
If it wasn't for one of my favorite actors ( Song Wei Long) I would have dropped this mess a long time ago.
Good things hence my 3 points:
Beautiful scenery, great visuals
Gorgeous set designs and period costumes
Great music
Very professional, talented cast
Hard working crew despite of the messy script and lack of a great directors' vision to bring this story to life.
Don't waste your precious time on this, probably one of the worst fantasy dramas I have seen in awhile.
Definitely NOT a rewatch.

⭐ Underrated Gem!
⭐ Underrated Gem!Melody of Golden Age is honestly such an underrated
C-drama! 🥰 Despite the female lead being annoying at times and her best friend REALLY testing my patience 😂
I still found myself thoroughly enjoying this drama.
The mystery and investigation storyline kept things interesting and I especially loved watching the relationship between Shen Du and Yan Xing slowly develop.
Ding Yuxi was fantastic as Shen Du, and the chemistry between the leads made the drama even more enjoyable.
It may not be perfect and there were definitely moments that made me want to scream at the FL and her best friend but somehow the drama still managed to keep me hooked until the end.
Definitely one of those C-dramas that deserves more attention. If you skipped it when it aired in 2024, give it a chance! It’s much better than the attention it received.

The contrast in the children’s upbringings brings them closer together rather than pulling them apart. The bond among the three lead characters carries the emotional weight of the series, balancing warm sibling dynamics with subtle romantic tension. I was deeply moved by the patience the characters show toward their elders, but equally impressed when they stand up for their own feelings. The show captures the complexity of parenthood—showing sacrificial, selfish, and well-meaning but emotionally distant parents—and serves as a gentle reminder that love requires active listening and understanding.
What frustrated me, however, was the handling of Ling Xiao's mother. Her character arc felt deeply manipulative, and her refusal to take genuine accountability or offer a sincere apology for her past actions made her scenes hard to watch. Playing the victim without acknowledging harm felt like emotional manipulation rather than true remorse.
Overall, the drama is deeply effective and emotionally resonant. It serves as a poignant reminder that loving someone isn't just a feeling—it requires accountability, listening, and putting other people's feelings first.

Mature, Restrained Romance
I should start by saying I enjoyed the series, but at the end I found myself saying "What a strange show!" They don't make too many TV shows like this. It's clearly a romance first and foremost, but the two leads are so sensible and restrained, especially the female lead, that everything is very calm and understated. In other words, it really doesn't feel like most of the romances I've watched. If you're looking for something that will sweep you off your feet, then this is probably not for you. On the other hand, I guess women find Leo Wu attractive, so the show at least follows that norm.
Some nitpicks? A couple of the secondary relationships were much less interesting. The FL was competent enough that she really should have been able to break off from her old employer about midway through the show, which is the source of some tension that felt a bit tiresome. Nothing here is a dealbreaker, if you're looking for something a little more mature than the average romance.

Lee Hyeri and Hwang In-youp's Off-the-Charts Chemistry Makes Dream To You a Must-Watch
Dream To You is a thrilling emotional rollercoaster that pairs a deeply moving storyline with swoon-worthy romance and top-tier cast chemistry. Lee Hyeri and Hwang In-youp display over-the-roof chemistry as Yijae and Soobin, delivering heart-fluttering, elevated romantic scenes that genuinely leave you blushing. Their connection is grounded in a heartwarming childhood backstory—where Yijae's early passion for film directing inspires Soobin, who later returns that same creative fuel and encouragement right back to her as they grow up. The script smartly handles their initial tension by addressing and resolving their past misunderstanding early on rather than letting it drag out unnecessarily. Beyond the main pair, the show excels in its multi-layered family dynamics and intertwined plot twists, striking a balance between heartbreaking angst, scary tension, and warm affection across the main, second, and third lead couples. While the final stretch introduces a late-stage conflict that resolves a bit too abruptly—leaving viewers craving a deeper look into their future lives—the incredible acting across the entire ensemble makes this a thoroughly captivating and unforgettable drama.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a serious story.
When the Phone Rings is exceedingly well acted. Both extreme and subtle emotion are portrayed with skill. The main characters are both sympathetic people doing the best they can with their circumstances, and you feel for them. While complex and twisty, the plot is self-consistent and ultimately reasonable. The motivations of everyone involved, all the many secondary characters, make sense and feel real.
I enjoyed watching When the Phone Rings and recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a more serious story.
The one irritating sub-plot occurs near the end. I won't say more than it didn't feel in line with the characters actions up to that point.

Lobo não come lobo, come ovelha...
