Heartbreaking
My soul aches after watching this.To be completely honest, the way they contrast the present and the past gives you time to process everything and stop crying for a minute.
This kdrama perfectly portrays the questioning "why didn't I ask for help?", "if I had done this, I could have prevented that from happening," but we all know that sometimes life gets in the way and our own nature interferes, which ends up overriding our rational side. We say things we don't mean and we also do things we didn't want to do. We try to hurt each other so that people feel what we are feeling, unfortunately that is human nature. On the other hand, it is also human nature to feel things so intensely that we make choices we didn't want to make, but which, at that moment, were the only option.
This kdrama is beautiful and, although it is really painful, I watched it crying, but I finished with a feeling of contentment.
I loved it. Bon-Mi and Jin-Young make a beautiful couple.

Go watch Sweetheart Service instead
It started ok. I get the premise. And I'm the weirdo who likes dom/sub relationships in a series. (My Personal Weatherman, LITA, Thundercloud Rainstorm) But after the first episode, it just got more and more incomprehensible. The writers clearly don't understand BDSM at all. I can tell and I'm not that well versed myself. It a hot mess, y'all!Production was bad. Script was bad. Directing was bad. Just bad bad bad.
And yet, somehow I liked the lead actors enough to want to see more of them! There's something sweet and adorable about those two! The fact that they survived this madness for me is a testament to their chemistry and charm. But this is otherwise comically bad.

hey koreans, i am truly confused
I don't understand what Koreans liked about this so much that it became the second most watched movie in Korea's history! Trulythat so-called guardian was but another traitor at the end !! Ultimately, the warden’s actions cannot be viewed as anything other than a betrayal of trust and an act of self-preservation. Regardless of the political pressures or mitigating circumstances presented in the narrative, cowardice and the abandonment of duty cannot be ethically justified
While the high caliber of acting and filmmaking merits a 8-star evaluation, the film's thematic core remains highly objectionable. The narrative's glorification of the warden's compliance undermines its ethical integrity, arguably rendering the story itself unworthy of praise
edit : This film fell incredibly short of expectations. The comment section appears heavily skewed by fans giving unmerited perfect scores simply because a K-pop idol was cast in the lead role, which undermines the integrity of the reviews entirely.

SHINY NAILS WITH MISERABLE LIVES
actually, i tried watching the series when it first finished, but it was too cringeworthy. watching it again now, it feels like a much, much better series. they conveyed the things they wanted to say and the feelings they wanted to evoke very well. the acting was excellent. i thought this series would ruin the fixed partnership theme, but i guess that won't happen. :(the beginning of the series felt a bit too much and a little boring, to be honest. it got better when the emotions involved were revealed. also, watching the series from everyone's perspective was really nice. even though there were some gaps and i was left wondering "what exactly happened?" but i liked this narrative style.
for4mod was clear from the beginning, but he lacked self-confidence. falling in love with someone like chian really wore him down. chian was full of uncertainties, not knowing what he wanted. and when chian finally realized what he wanted, it was always too late. still, they managed to be together somehow, congratulations to them.
baabin was my favorite from the beginning of the series, but in the end, he turned out to be a xenophobic bitch. although i initially thought bua was a bit of a cunty, he was the most thoughtfulof them all. he was extremely lonely, and every time he wanted someone around him, things only got more complicated. it broke my heart that he tried to change himself after what baabin said to him. but in the end, it was only baabin who could finally say, "please be my partner."
it was a cycle of teenagers completely unsure of themselves, stuck in a vicious cycle. i'm happy they broke the cycle and didn't leave each other. i hope the second season will be even better.

Story
I don't write long reviews s I will keep it simple.Loved this series from start to finish. The MLs
were wonderful together and the chemistry was there for all to see and they didn't mind showing it. When they kissed they kissed instead of sticking their lips together. I loved the story the angst. the twists and turns..the betrayel Pei yan felt which caused suspicions. When I binge a series I'm invested 💯. The other 2 MLs the servant and the
scheming Crown Prince added another facet to the story. All in all a great series. Gagaoolala
have some great LGBTQ series. Thanks to everyone that took part. Definately worth a watch.. On the downside I hope we arent
over run with AI. I want flesh and blood.

Sweet relationship of mature adults (refreshing vibe)
The series follow two adults, former colleagues, who meet each other again after some years. We are witnessing a mature relationship as it unfolds between two grown adults. No unnecessary drama, no fury in the plot, just surfing their life as they grow attached to one another.
Recommend 100% if you enjoy watching for the whole and don't need twists and turns to keep you into it.
10/10 worth it.

This is a true romantic comedy and I loved it!
I for real laughed out loud while watching this series during almost every episode. Yes, it is silly. Yes it trots out at least one gay relationship trope that I could have done without. Yes, there were a few strained acting moments. But overall this is a gem!I like shows that have women characters that aren't just playing the foil. This had a few of them.
I like funny BLs. This one was just zany enough to hit my funny bone but not overly absurd or stupid.
And it also had heart. There was a love story or two. There were real emotions that were earned. There were twists and turns that kept it interesting. I was really drawn into the roller coaster of emotions.
I waited a looong tims to watch this. I'm really glad I tuned in. So satisfying!

Shrimpie, you can now rest in peace
I started tgis expecting a fun Republican era mystery with some Lost Tomb lore and somehow ended up emotionally destroyed by Zhang Haixia😭Watching him go from this smart, sarcastic accountant constantly bickering with haiyan to someone willing to give up everything just so his partner in crime could live was painful enough, but the show somehow made it worse.
He doesn't get a heroic ending,he doesn't get peace,he comes back broken, traumatized, stripped of his own will, turned into a weapon while Haiyan desperately tries to save him as everything crashes down around them, it was just tragedy after tragedy.
And Ding Yuxi absolutely wrecked me throughout the serie especially larest episodes, the emptiness in his eyes, the way you could feel Haixia disappearing piece by piece... I genuinely wasn't prepared for that Shrimpie deserved happiness and instead got endless suffering. I'm sick, devastated, and probably not recovering from this anytime soon 😭💔
Haiyan trying his best to save him and save tgeir mentor was heartbreaking, he was grieving his only family while they were dying infront of him slowly, his guilt run deep, he killed his shrimpie and left living with this reality.
When it come to overall storytelling, they cut a lot and added some side stories that i didnt care about, we deserved the scenes that were deleted, anyway this was a ride, recommended

An Average and Slow Film Saved Only by the Star-Studded Cast
This movie turned out to be quite a boring and slow experience for my taste. The plot stretches out and fails to maintain a gripping pace, making it hard to stay fully engaged throughout the runtime. If it weren't for the legendary lead actors, it would have been very difficult to finish. The main reason to watch this film is definitely the performances of Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in. Both are phenomenal actors who bring a lot of gravity and intensity to their roles, carrying the entire project on their shoulders. Their screen presence is undeniable, even when the script itself feels stagnant. That being said, I absolutely have to mention the tragic hairstyle they gave to Lee Byung-hun. It was so distracting and honestly terrible to look at, which took away from some of his scenes.Production-wise, it feels well-made, but the execution of the story simply lacks the energy needed to make it memorable. It is a decent one-time watch if you are a massive fan of the main actors, but otherwise, the slow buildup might leave you disappointed.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

A Good One-time Watch
The Synopsis of FrustrationThe Last Immortal (Shen Yin) had all the ingredients to be a modern Xianxia masterpiece. It features a powerhouse cast led by actors who possess distinct, brilliant niches, and it is backed by the rich lore of the Ancient Love Poetry universe. But it doesn't just stumble in its final arc—it completely defies the established logic of its own parent universe.
In trying to force a visual tragedy, the writers completely nerfed the divinity of its characters. It trades high-stakes mythic fantasy for a rushed, illogical, and emotionally exhausting soap opera. Instead of giving us powerful, decisive deities who command the screen, the script turns a True God into a helpless, self-centred, love struck, weeping wimp, reducing a mythic fantasy into a cheap soap opera that insults the intelligence of its characters and its viewers.
1. The Breakdown of True God Logic
The script completely shatters the operational rules established by Ancient Love Poetry.
Irresponsible Divinity: A True God, once omnipotent, would never destabilize the world order and universal law by resurrecting an entire dead sect in their original bodies using 90% of his Chaos power—and spending the rest on saving his love, thereby severely endangering his own physical and spiritual body—especially with the threat of an impending Devil War looming. It makes his cosmic power look utterly reckless and self-centred.
Blindness to Cosmic Energy: As a supreme being, if he did try to inject his divine power into someone or something, he would naturally know if that power completely disappeared or if it was actively being circulated somewhere in the realms. The fact that he remains entirely clueless about his own life force violates standard cultivation logic.
The Soul-Saving Double Standard: If a regular Emperor like Aoge can effortlessly house his brother’s shattered soul, there is zero logical reason why Feng Yin—the supreme Phoenix carrying True God essence—is written as completely helpless to save Gu Jin.
The Sobbing Sacrifice: Instead of going out with a heroic, reassuring smile, Gu Jin spends his final moments sobbing like a baby. It turns an act of cosmic salvation into an exhausting, pathetic defeat.
2. The Emperor’s Seal Battle: A Chiung Yao Melodrama Fiasco (🤦🏻♀️😅)
The final confrontation completely lacks tactical fantasy majesty, playing out like an old-school Chiung Yao melodrama (think Romance in the Rain yelling matches) rather than high-stakes Xianxia:
The Gossip Circle: Instead of an earth-shattering reveal, the high deities literally stand around in a quiet circle, loudly trading emotional back-and-forth dialogue while dramatic background music swells.
Glaring Plot Holes: When the Demon Gathering Banner exposes Hua Mo as a murderer, everyone stays bizarrely silent about him killing the Immortal King, Lan Feng, too. Furthermore, the bodies of the Immortal King and Demon King are never given proper burials; their forms are treated like forgotten stage props while everyone speaks in a rushed, fast-forward edit.
The Out-of-Character Repentance: To make matters worse, the show forces the main female vamp into a sudden, unearned change of heart right at the end. After episodes of calculating, cold-blooded selfishness, her sudden shift into a weeping penitent completely defies her established true nature, making her character arc feel entirely unconvincing.
The Missing Epic Scale: The power scaling here is utterly laughable. We are expected to believe that the Devil is so overwhelmingly strong that a True God (even with diminishing power), the Ghost Lord, a Demi God Phoenix Queen, a near-Demigod Demon King, and a powerful Eagle Queen combined are completely unable to control him? Really? Where were the other Devils? Why couldn’t they show a grand, sweeping war with actual armies involved like in Ancient Love Poetry, Immortal Samsara, or Love and Redemption? Confining a cosmic crisis to a tiny, low-budget studio floor completely breaks the genre’s immersion.
3. The Saving Grace: Watch it for Hong YiDespite the writing mess, the show is worth watching for Hong Yi (Li Yunrui). While the main lead remains trapped in a weeping martyr loop, Hong Yi emerges as a genuinely strong, protective, and deeply responsible character. He grows significantly throughout the journey, showing true maturity and an unyielding sense of duty. His performance and character arc provide a refreshing contrast, anchoring the emotional weight of the secondary plotline when the main divine order falls apart.
Final Verdict
By prioritizing a mindless "delayed reveal," uncharacteristic character redemptions, and endless, passive misery over consistent universe logic, The Last Immortal reduced its supreme beings into weak, incompetent characters who can't put two and two together. Watch it for the attractive cast, but be prepared to rewrite the final two episodes in your head to save your sanity

So funny!
I found this funny. I accidentally laughed my way through this show. This is the 2nd time I have watched it, and I forgot how funny it was.The actors were very good; you were able to feel their characters. You knew who they were, and how they fit the roles that were given to them. The second leads were engaging and likeable. It means that it was written well and directed well.
I understand there was a deeper meaning within this show and some might find it hard to empathize with a pretty FL who is supposed to be 'not good looking' but I think the shows message gets through ... attractiveness is a feeling, action, mindset, while being good looking is a very visual thing and not necessarily 'attractive'.
I really felt for the ML and the mental torture he was put through; they did make light of that, but the story was about being attracted to the FL, the way she was and the fact that he fell in love with HER. I think it also showed the MLs true character. He was intelligent and he had the ability to rationalize so he was able to overcome and realize his feelings were for the FL all a long and not the packages that he saw ... so his ability to see loss for gain fits this character .... If that makes sense.
The coloring was a little bland and the chemistry was a little flat.
I also do not like the 'getting married and lives happily ever after' ending that most shows force on us. Audiences are not stupid; we have the ability to end a story ourselves using our brains.
There is no explanation about the main plot point and leaves us hanging, some might not like that but for me it was OK. It did not make or break this show
All in all, I like this show, it's fun, and it also has Tan Jian Ci, which is an added bonus ;)
On a side note ....
Who has a dart board right next to a glass door ...
As someone who has OCD ... OMG @the school library/archives :O

Confusion (WOULD NOT RECCOMEND WATCHING)
What even was this. I could smell the sunscreen from the screen. Why were they speaking spanish? I looked for this for such a long time just to find out this was what it was. My guess is this whole thing was for an add. If you want to make a special episode at least make an actual special episode. When I saw this I expected to see an actual good plot and cuteness, this was low-key disappointing. Was this supposed to be for a Spanish ad? The cringy romantic music at the end. This was generally horrible¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
10/10 Cute, Sweet, and Absolutely Charming
10/10 Cute, Sweet, and Absolutely CharmingThis series was an absolute delight from beginning to end. While the premise may seem familiar to longtime BL fans, it brings so much warmth, charm, and heart that it feels fresh and enjoyable throughout. The story embraces the things that make the genre so lovable, delivering a sweet and comforting experience that is impossible not to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the series is the cast. The performances feel natural and sincere, making it easy to connect with the characters and become invested in their journey. The chemistry between the leads is adorable, and every interaction is filled with the kind of warmth that leaves you smiling. The cinematography is also beautifully done, giving the series a polished and visually appealing look that enhances its romantic atmosphere.
What I loved most is how effortlessly the show delivers pure happiness. It doesn’t rely on excessive drama or complicated twists. Instead, it focuses on creating a feel-good story filled with cute moments, lovable characters, and a romance that is easy to root for. Its shorter format makes it perfect for a quick binge, yet it still manages to leave a lasting impression.
If you’re looking for a lighthearted, heartwarming BL that will brighten your day, this series is a fantastic choice. Sweet, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish, it’s exactly the kind of comfort watch that deserves a perfect 10/10.
