They promised 'Nirvana' but delivered NONSENSE

Littlespoiler ~~~Let me save you some precious time 🕐. If you’re thinking of picking this drama, know this... it’s a long, exhausting 40-hour slog that ends with the male lead dying for absolutely nothing. Watch at your own risk. You’ve been warned..

Now!my main issue...The female lead falls for a guy who literally tries to kill her. Multiple times. Poisons, weapons, the full package. And yet, she suddenly gets all buddy-buddy with him because… his “upright nature” turned her on 😒😒😒 Girl ..he showed zero mercy. Did you just forget all those murder attempt ...???? I couldn’t wrap my head around it

Then there’s the Yuelou mess. I n what universe does a border state keep getting exploited while its citizens still fight for a king who messes up everyone’s lives? In real history, border states hold all the leverage ~~~~ trade routes, special privileges, you name it. But here !! Just endless manipulation.

And the king himself~~~what a disaster. He’s managed to tick off everyone ;; the ML, his own ex (who wants his head), multiple generals ready to rebel, the FL (for family tragedy), and even his own son. Yet somehow, with just a handful of people and hollow threats, he keeps everything under control. No serious army, just imperial guards. Sorry, but I’m not buying it. So many unconvincing, boring moments. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

As for the cast... Ren and Landy did okay. Their roles started off spontaneous but fizzled into meh. Chemistry existed but was never explored by the writer. Side characters were just… there. They did their job.

Honestly? Nothing else worth mentioning. Save yourself the headache. ✌️

Best of the series

This drama was SO long it felt unnecessary, I also feel this one focused more on the parents than anything which was ok I guess but I felt like I didnt get much time with the neighborhood kids. Once again who I wanted her to end up with didn't happen... The chemistry between deoksun and jeonghwan was undeniable and I was rooting for them since the beginning. It couldv'e been something so great if jeonghwan wasn't so self sacrificing. I really liked deoksun as a character and thought she was really sweet. Jeonghwan was great too but I wish he just admitted his feelings straightforward to deoksun. I also hate how they never even mentioned him in the future like what even happened to him ? Taek was ok... again with a male character who can't take care of himself it's just a pet peeve and made me not really like him. But he had cute moments with deoksun thats the only thing that made me ok with this. I also hated bora oh my gosh... she was so annoying and I will never understand how sunwoo likes her. She was just rude, I understand this is like a korean sister thing but chill out for real. She only got better at the end of the show. Besides that I enjoyed everyone else and thought it was a pretty good show.

Better than 97

Alright I have to admit this one was a bit better than 97. I did like Najung as a character and she didn't annoy me as much as the lead from the previous season. I guess I can understand why she likes trash but I would've preferred her with chllbong. This drama really strung out the husband mystery though it felt like as it got close to the end they just kept playing in my face lol. I'm disappointed with the ending and how chillbong just randomly fell in love with his wife when they bumped into each other? I just loved the way he treated najung albeit I know he isn't perfect, he had his moments of lying that shouldn't have happened. Then trash... mostly the reason why I can't get the reason why she liked him is the fact that they made him seem so stupid and incapable of taking care of himself. That just turned me all the way off from him I hate characters with that persona.

Not what I expected

So way back in the beginning when I hadn't watched Kdramas I've heard that this series was always recommended and just favored over all. I have to say after watching all 3 my expectations weren't met. Well I'll keep this brief, I think female lead did amazing in acting in her role she truly annoyed me so much during this show lol. I do appreciate the nostalgic feel this series gives as well. Besides that I was going to have a HUGE problem with the romance if it ended up being the older brother... I found that so ridiculous that he was an option and almost didn't continue watching this show. I do like the mystery husband thing and trying to figure it out but ultimately I didn't feel attached to any of the characters to be honest. I didn't care much about anyone or what happened to them but definitely just didnt want the main female lead to end up with the creepy older brother...

One of my favourite kdramas

I can watch this drama over and over again!

I love the music selection they have in this show. When Park Bo Young carried Park Hyun Sik and the whitney song "I will always love you" came on I was laughing so loud!!! I could watch that scene for hours! The on screen chemistry between them is off the charts! I also like the 2nd ML's character as well.

This really is a must watch and I think the epitome of kdrama comedy!

Suho and Sieun reunion was disappointing

After watching both S1 and S2, I prefer the storyline in S1 more. S2 however had the BEST cast!!! The storyline just wasn't really believable.

I did enjoy watching this and like most ppl my favourite character was Geum Seong Je which was immaculately played by Lee Jun Young!!

The reunion of Suho and Sieun was extremely anti-climatic. I was expecting a warmer reception but they just stood there apart acting so non chalant towards each other. The guy has been in a coma for who knows how long. You visit him every day and when he finally wakes up... come on. That's just my opinion.

Great show! wished there were more episodes

The story line for this is really good. It's very relatable and not your usual run of the mill HS series. The actors did a great job and while everyone hates Beom Seok's character, I do feel bad for him. He had such a rough life and was so lost. Hong Kyung did such a great job in this role!!

This was the first show I watched Park Ji Hoon in and he's an amazing actor! I don't think he gets enough credit and should be way more famous!!

The villian (RIP Na Chul) was extremely entertaining to watch and he was probably my favorite character in this show.

Phenomenal. Give Me 10 More

Love You Teacher was number 9 on my most anticipated series for the GMMTV 2025 line up. I kept it at a cautious ranking because, while the teaser genuinely intrigued me, I was hesitant to put all my hopes and faith into this. I have an extremely weary history with GMMTV and how they've handled sensitive topics (*cough* Last Twilight*cough*) so immediately, I was worried on how they'd go about this, particularly with a child’s emotional perspective and thought process playing such a major role in the story. This appears to be Dome, the screenwriter and director's first explicitly BL show, and he nailed it on the head. Good job Dome, give me 10 more of these please, Dome.

Let's Dive In.

Before even getting into the brilliance of the story itself, I have to give credit to whoever’s exceptional brain managed to perfectly communicate what this show was going to be through its wardrobe and set design alone. Not once did I stop admiring the tiny details stitched into every shot: Sodchuen’s cheese hair clip, Pobmek’s whimsical ties, Solar’s fun hoodies and sweatshirts. The entire aesthetic is so carefully crafted. The production team wanted it to look like a child's imagination exploded on the screen, and it worked out perfectly. I will also give a big round of applause to how mesmerizing the cinematography felt. The framing choices, the fluid camera work, and the dreamy color grading added this warm, storybook-like atmosphere that made every scene feel even brighter.

I'm not going to say anything here that hasn't already been spewed, but what's another fawning review on LYT?

It’s always bewildering to me how differently trauma can manifest from person to person. For Solar, it took the form of Sun, his seven-year-old self, almost forcing himself into hibernation so an alternate personality could exist to make life easier to survive. That’s where Santa’s performance becomes so remarkable. He captures the mannerisms of a child with almost unsettling precision. You can immediately tell when he shifts from Solar into Sun without the show needing to loudly announce it. Sun is bright, impulsive, and slightly brazen, carrying that fearless childlike honesty, especially around Uncle Kidnapper. Solar, meanwhile, feels like the quieter, older echo of that same child with how deeply empathetic, gentle, and constantly mindful he is of the people around him, especially Pobmek.

What I appreciated most was how carefully the series differentiated Pobmek’s relationship with Solar vs his relationship with Sun. Boundaries are established immediately, and thankfully, the writing never treats Sun in an infantilizing or inappropriate way for the sake of skinship or fan service. Of course, Sun is treated like a child, because that is what he is. But what makes the writing work so well is that it never crosses into uncomfortable territory or strange sexual innuendos. The series understands the important distinction here: this is not an adult pretending to be a child, but a child psychologically trapped inside the body of an adult. That difference completely changes the emotional lens of the story, and I really appreciated how mindful the show remained of that throughout its entire run. Both Perth and Santa embodied these characters wonderfully, and I’ll truly miss watching their performances in this series.

Kay, where have you been all my life. Truly enjoyed the energy portrayed within the friend group and how natural their chemistry felt on the screen. It was also nice to see Sammy back on my screen. She's such a talented actress, and I'm so proud she's still getting her flowers.

Ratings:

Story: 9/10 - Thank God for GMMTV’s new 10-episode format, because I honestly think two extra episodes would’ve pushed this into dragged-out territory. The pacing in this was excellent. Everything happens for a reason and scenes feel thought-out and meaningful.

Acting: 9.5/10 - Santa is a stellar actor, and Perth parallels that energy perfectly. They’ve quickly become one of GMMTV’s strongest pairings, with Perth bringing the confidence and nuance of a veteran actor while Santa continues to prove himself as an incredibly well-rounded performer. Their chemistry felt effortless from the very beginning, and I loved that the story started with them already as an established couple yet still managed to give me that fluttery, giddy feeling watching them together.

Music: 6/10 - It wasn't distracting!

Recommendation Value: 8.5/10 - I realize this series might not be everyone’s cup of tea given the subject matter, but I genuinely believe that if there were twenty different directions this story could have taken, Dome chose the right one. The series handles its themes with a lot of care while still allowing itself to be playful, heartfelt, and genuinely entertaining.

a must watch! super funny!

I wished they had casted someone else for the role of Lim Joo Kyng. I can't stand Moon Ga Young's acting and her crying scenes really irritated me. I almost didn't finish the series coz I couldn't keep watching her. She's pretty don't get. me wrong, just not a fan of her acting. Specifically her crying and gummy teeth LOL.

This movie had a lot of funny scenes and I really enjoyed watching it overall. I didn't read the mangwa so I went into this series blindly. I wished (as with a lot of kdramas since I always have 2nd lead syndrome) that she ended up with Seojun instead of Suho. Seojun was always there for her and never broke her heart. Suho did a couple times in that show. The rivalry between Seojun and Suho was the best. Even when they "made up" and still had that banter with each other.

Could've been better

As a massive fan of Liu Tao, I love watching her previous works, and I was especially excited to watch this show because she and Bao Yi Fan had such great chemistry in Ode to Joy (though I didn't really like the storyline). I was expecting a sizzling chemistry between the leads based on the cover image, but the storyline was far from that. However, the show really allowed Liu Tao to showcase her acting skills as a veteran in the industry.

I was so frustrated with the male lead that I couldn't overlook his flaws despite some of his redeeming qualities. The female lead was depressed and suicidal, yet whenever she confronted the male lead, all she got was him saying that he suffered just as much, if not more. It was so sad that she didn't get the help, support, and understanding she needed from her husband and family. I hope no one ever meets a husband like him in real life.

wished it was better

After struggling to power through this series, I can see why it has such a low rating lol. There are some top tier actors in this series so I really expected it to be a lot better. This wasn't produced very well. All past "history" scenes should have been in the first episode and not scattered throughout the series. It made it really boring and irritating to watch since it would be inserted during action and climax scenes. The wigs in this show were awful. You could totally tell they were wigs, and not even the good kind.

I hate the fact that they "killed" off Ogwi. Even though he may not be really dead given the end scene but I'm thinking he will probably come back evil. The ripping of his wings was sad/uncomfortable to watch :( All the past angels were resurrected and alive but they killed off one of the best main characters? Doesn't make sense.

Also, given how S1 turned out... I doubt there will be much hype/anticipation about a possible S2 coming out.

I love the fact that Park Hyung Sik played an anti hero role! It's such a nice change from his usual happy/funny romcoms. I love his acting in those upbeat romcoms though, he's one of my favorite actors!!

The show is good but the way they showed yaksha as someone demonic is not true according to hindu and buddhist teachings yashaa is someone who protects nature, represents life, fertility also he is the gatekeeper of heavenly realm he is under the king kubera (god of wealth). Yangyang acting and fl acting is so good but tbh im drawn to the acting of second ml. He is such a versatile actor . Some people are saying there are dropping from 12 or 13 but honestly u should watch further to understand ml perspective he is not only fighting for girls justice but also against the whole group of corrupted leaders which is deeply rooted in the city ofcoarse he should kill them but not secretly rather in public aka among common folks with their bashing and curses and humilitiation for lyf is what they deserve not simple death.

The truth will set you free

The Scarecrow proves to be a really well made noir murder mystery with the performances, from the entire cast, being its strongest point.

I can’t say this is a kdrama anyone can watch as it’s deeply frustrating and infuriating. Especially when you know it’s based on real events.

Unlike the famous Bong Joon-ho film, this kdrama flips the story and delivers a first hand account on what the victims of this case went through at the hands of the police and prosecution. Even decades after the events.

There’s no justice in this story, even when the truth comes out. The pain lives on as a open wound, festering, leaving those who had to go through this terrible experience changed forever. The good are broken down by guilt and the weight of responsibility, the bad get away with murder for too long.

Still, the final scene let us know there’s hope for healing. The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.

Light and chill. A healing show.

I could not believe how short this show was at only six episodes. I was surprised when it ended so quickly.

Anyway, this is the definition of a healing show. The cast is small and it's well acted. The story is grounded, focusing on two individuals who end up living together and gradually come to rely on each other to overcome their trauma. The show is rather light, aside from the male lead’s reason for being on the island. It even features long, extended cooking segments, complete with glamorous shots of the food they make from the ingredients they obtain through free diving. It’s light on the romance, but it’s good enough. More like a simple crush.

It’s well shot, and the color grading is nice. While it’s not a show I would immediately recommend placing at the top of your watch list, it’s enjoyable enough if you’re looking for a break from heavy dramas.

New and fresh variety show. Everything is good but the minus point is in "SUBTITLE" I was forced to watch it because I wanted to support Dong Sicheng and wanted to see his interaction with his new friends. I haven't finished it all because it was only released up to episode 8, only 2 weeks left to finish watching this, I really like it and want to rewatch it but because it lacks subtitles I can't rewatch it 😔 GIVE ME INDONESIA SUBTITLE PLEASEEEE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
