I had this drama on plan to watch for centuries but wasn't sure to see it or not.Kinda confuse. But one day I decided to watch it & I was surprised that it was such a good drama.I haven't watched many mysterious sort of dramas, but I liked it.
The thing I like best is the acting & music & the storyline. It shows that sometime life could be harsh but you could find happiness back.Even the tempo of drama is slow in first but it gets better once you start watching it & it took less than two days to complete this drama.
The thing I don't like is that you get curious to know whats next & you get addicted, just kiddin'. It is freakishly good drama.
It's a must watch.
P.S: Sometime I was like,"Gosh!!I freakishly want that housekeeper!!"

Its taken me a long long time to finish it mainly because apart from viki it wasn't available anywhere.im glad that i managed to watch it otherwise i would have missed this little gem

The plot line sounds pretty average.Friends realising that at the end of the day they love each other. The drama is full of those cliches.Ex-boyfriends and Girlfriends..and other sub plots revolving around ageing and marriage but i utterly loved this drama

Berlin Chen as Li Da Ren is very handsome. He's the type of friend that any girl whould love to have.To share a can of beer over a broken heart. To be in his embrace over betrayal and to chat with him all day long and never getting bored of it.He's someone who's like a pillar of strength and that's what makes him oh so adorable

Ariel Lin is very pretty and more so here since i love her in dresses.she is not the typical dramaland heroine. She has a bad temper,is unbearable to handle and so whimsical at the same time. But she's also a workaholic who doesnt look at the time at all which is passing by.She's a career driven woman who's finally realising that life needs much more than a career and weekends spent with parents. She's feeling tht grey hairs are not to far and thats how our story follows.Frankly i wouldn't be able to handle or bear a person like her but Li Da Ren does evrything he can for this girl. They've been best friends and it shows as we follow them. They are so comfortable with each other that the heroine has taken him for granted almost

The chemitsry between the leads is good but this drama is more about friendship than love according to me.The music fits every frame and was very pleasant on the ears..:)

This drama does have its problems though.Through the first few episodes we see that Cheng You Qing needs Li Da Ren much more than he does. She's always, always asking him to be there for her while she's hardly ever there for him.Lot of time was wasted in her attraction towards her ex bf rather than focusing on the frendship.I also was too much frustrated with You Qing in the last episodes as i became to hate her there.I had hoped the writer would have given them more screen time as a couple but we kept on goin in circles and no together time was shown which is a shame since the leads look so good together.

watch it for the friedship where you'l wish you had a LI Da Ren in your life and i think the best kind of love is in friends turning to lovers so thts why i highly recommend this
cute, romantic and shows how badly we need a friend..:D

Hands down, this film is a MASTERPIECE!...but that's just what I think.

Here's why...

1) The diversity!

It's not every day that you come across a film that features SIX different languages...yes, six. There's Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, German, and English (a tiny bit) O_O
It was an amazing experience to see the perspectives (somewhat--it's literally not much) of different nations during WWII with the progression of the film. What I really liked about that, is that by doing so, no one nation was definitively tacked as the "bad guy," because this film's purpose is not to show that; rather, it is about two rivals and their trials through war, and ultimately the bond they form.

2) The effects!

There was not one second my eyes were not glued to the screen. 'My Way' is a war movie, as in LOTS of fighting scenes, people being shot--death, explosions...you know ;) Now, if that kind of scares you, no worries, this is not a gore-type war film. There's no flying limbs or guys lying around with half of their body still intact while you see all their insides pouring out >:p yuck! Although, there was one incident--I won't say exactly, but it has to do with pus *cringes*. TBH, other than that, just expect blood and dead bodies.
As far as explosions go...superb. Scenes with airplanes...well done.
Anytime there was fighting, I found myself holding my breath, because it was so hectic and unpredictable...really captured the feeling of war. There were numerous occasions when I was chanting "Please don't die!" in my head with my fingers crossed haha ;)
The effects are awesome, but I should add that you'll see a lot more than just "war effects," since the film begins before the characters go off to war.

3) The characters!

What can I say? I mean from the main cast to the supporting cast, each character had an understandable motive and development, because all the characters were affected by WWII. I found it fascinating just to see all of these characters change over time due to the war and the fear of dying.
The character, Hasegawa Tatsuo, is definitely my favorite from the film. You'll see him as a kid, as a teen and as a man, and will never wonder (perhaps like me) why he is the way he is...that's really thanks to an incredibly written story.

Which brings me to...

4) The story!

It's based on a true story, which is why it comes across as being so realistic.
Although this is a war film, that's just the setting, the story itself is very heartwarming. I cannot say enough how much I loved it...I really did. For a film that's over two hours, it's unlikely that you will ever feel bored. I mean, if you heart is not pounding from the action, it might be breaking during the emotional scenes. I really want to say more, but I don't know how to without repeating the synopsis or spoiling the film for you, so I'll just say this; look forward to watching a darn good film :D

5) The acting!

Trust me it's outstanding. These actors aren't rookies; they know what to do, and they do it well. Plus, it's Jang Dong Gun as a lead, as well as Joe Odagiri of which I am now a fan. These two leads and the excellent supporting cast make this film well worth watching.

So, I feel like I've written quite a lot, but have said just as little; hopefully not too little, because I hope that I've said just enough to encourage you to watch My Way. If I am not helpful (at all D:) do please look up a better review, because I really think this film is good enough to deserve a view :)

First, the show was fun, was getting interesting and had a warm ending. I like the characteristic of everyone. They complemented well and the way they grow up and matured was good. I really like Oh Ha Ni since somehow I could relate to her and I was wondering maybe I need someone like Baek Seung Jo :))
But he is mostly emotionless :< but his smile was priceless :D
So I guess his okay. It's funny that his brother will seem experience the same love xD

and... There's one thing I was wondering.. What happened to the guy who confessed to Oh Ha Ni? He just showed up for such a short time and it's weird.

Anyway, it was still nice ^^

Story: I watched this one shortly after finishing the first movie, and if I had to pick between the two, this one would definitely get my vote. It was faster paced, so you didn't feel too bored at certain parts. Much like the first one, there are things in this that are completely different from the manga and anime, and like I said with the first movie, I didn't think it hurt the movie too much.

Acting/Cast: I said in the last one that I loved Fujiwara Tatsuya and Matsuyama Kenichi as Light and L, and that definitely didn't change while watching this movie.

Toda Erika got more time in this one, as was expected, and I liked her in her role as Misa as well. In the manga/anime, my opinion on Misa always varied. I'd love her one second and then really dislike her the next. Toda Erika managed to make it so I was a Misa fan from start to finish.

Music: Again, I don't remember much of the music in this movie. The only song I can remember, other than the suspenseful music they sometimes tossed in, was a RHCP song.

Rewatch Value: I scored it one higher than the first movie because, like I said, I definitely enjoyed this one more.

Overall: Overall, I loved it. The ending in the manga had me kind of sad. The ending in the anime had me crying. The ending of the movie actually had me bawling.

My only complaint with this movie, other than that damn RHCP song, is that it seemed a little anticlimactic. The ending felt like it was too fast at times, and then too slow at times, but in the end, it was still anticlimactic.

This drama is not what it seems. It’s much better.

As a critical drama viewer, I scoffed at the title and poster for this drama. It’s very easy to dismiss. The premise sounds ridiculous and the poster matches that assumption perfectly.

But I was very surprised by this drama, which does a fantastic job of creating intricate, thought-provoking murder mysteries that will make you ponder what’s right and what’s wrong. Situations in life are not always black and white--sometimes there’s a lot of gray.

Each episode is woven exceptionally well. So much so that the series becomes interactive, and as a viewer, I found myself attempting to guess the “who, what, when, where, why and how “of the crime.

The acting is also very well done--from the lovable prosecution team lead by the dogmatic, bullheaded and yet very sexy Min Tae Yeon to the suspects, everyone played their part flawlessly. I especially enjoyed the lead characters and their own quirky traits that seemed to balance the prosecution team perfectly.

Is it a perfect work of drama art? Not exactly. But it was very surprising and almost refreshing to watch something that involved vampires, and yet did not deal with oversexed, vulgar and lustful characters. That in and of itself makes me rate it higher!

Kudos, Vampire Prosecutor, for knocking some of the stale haze from an overused mythological genre!

This show is so simple and it's the best thing about it..It is free from all negativity and is one which you can call truly feel good.It has the positive air in each and every episode.
Jung so-min has done a very good job in portraying her role..and Kim Hyun Joong is so handsome..all other actors are also very good, especially younger brother of Baek Seung Jo..he is so cute!!
I really liked the depiction of relationships in the drama..
All in all..a must watch..I have already watched it twice..

Im a fan of both leads so this was a must see for me...

Not only did I love the main characters (cute chemistry) but I loved the supporting characters too (yay Park Ki Woong).

There really wasn't much to the story though. You just see how they meet and then how they spend their days counting down to their deaths. Its twisted but somehow the writers made their relationship and their activities seem so normal. It really is a very easy breezy watch. I feel like it was a bit too long that I started to get restless towards the end. I loved the ending, it was realistic but hopeful at the same time.

I'm going to be completely honest with this review. The cast and their acting was spectacular! Ryuya plays an autistic boy so well and it really gives authenticity to the story, Erika is an amazing actress and is so diverse in her acting styles and Kazuki is just perfection.

I enjoyed this movie until about halfway and from there the storyline just went downhill. The ending especially disappointed me due to its ambiguity and while it should have made the watcher feel the emotion of the characters, it was very difficult to sympathize with any of the characters which I will attribute to the story writing.

The music wasn't all that crash hot and could have been better however, it wasn't terrible.

I wouldn't rewatch this movie for the reason that the plotline wasn't all that original.

This wasn't a terrible movie and I encourage people to give it a chance ... it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Story: As someone who loves both the manga and the anime, I was actually kind of hesitant about watching this movie, even though this actually came out before the anime. Knowing already that there are still two movies after this one, I felt like it moved at a nice pace. It had it's slower parts, but that's pretty much a given with any Japanese movie. There were some parts that were changed up, so I was a little confused at times, but I didn't feel like it hurt the movie in any way.

Acting/Cast: Fujiwara Tatsuya was the biggest factor when I decided to finally give the movie a try. After viewing Light in a certain way for all of these years, I really wasn't a fan of his portrayal of him at first. But, as time went on, and I continued watching, I really ended up loving him in the role.

Matsuyama Kenichi is the perfect L. Everything from the way he talks, to the way he sits, to the way he acts, was just totally spot-on. I had absolutely no trouble believing he was L.

The rest of the characters didn't get too much time of their own, but when they did, I wasn't disappointed.

Music: Honestly, I don't remember much of the music from this movie. There's the suspenseful music every now and then, but that's all I remember.
After being so used to hearing it every few minutes in the anime whenever Light's coming up with a new plan, it was kind of disappointing to have it lacking in the movie.

Rewatch Value: After watching the anime repeatedly, and reading the manga just as much, I can safely say I would do the same with the movie.

Overall: Overall, the only things I can think to complain about were the music and the occasional slowness. Like I said though, it's pretty much a given when watching a Japanese movie, so it didn't bother me enough to not give this movie a 10.

I picked Green Rose randomly cause I was in the mood for an unpredictable revenge drama…

Story: The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite movies and the plot of this, really reminds me of it. Although sometimes it was hard to believe that the people around the main character took him for someone else cause there wasn’t that much of a change in the characters appearance. So use your imagination folks! If your looking for romance theres not much to look forward to cause the relationship of the main couple is well established in the first 2 eps. There is some romantic angst throughout though due to the fact that the couple cant be together till the end. The biggest weakness I found is the pacing and the episode count. It just slows a lot of the developments down and the momentum is lost to the point you get bored by the middle. Happy but bittersweet ending.

Acting/Cast: This is the first time Ive seen Go Soo, although I’ve heard of various projects he’s been in. His performance wasn’t bad or anything and hes very attractive but I just thought his expressions could have been taken to another level during certain scenes that called for it. Ive only seen Lee Da Hae in romcoms so it was a nice change to see her do drama. It just proves what a versatile actress she is. Lee Jong Hyuk played the villain perfectly. His character was a baddie but he plays him with such charm that you cant help but sympathize with his actions. By the end, I actually came to like a lot of the supporting cast as well.

Music: I don’t really remember it but it was really dramatic and fit with the revenge theme.

Rewatch: If the pacing was better I think I could have watched it again sometime in the distant future but its not so I’ll pass.

Overall Green Rose is a pretty good older revenge drama worth at least a watch if you’re a fan of any of the leads.

I have no idea where I read that this movie was going to be an awesome action movie with Matsuda Shota. And I being a Shota stan decided that Smuggler was a must see. Not only did I end up fast forwarding, after months of waiting to see it, but I couldn’t tell what kind of movie it was.
Smuggler is about a freeter trying to find his way through life. True to “find your way” movies he goes through a bunch of horrible things (mainly brought on by misplaced kindness) and draws upon his one skill for help. This character is drug into the underbelly of society and has to deal with issues within his own self to fight for his right to live.
What I didn’t like is the lack of Matsuda Shota, he is on the screen for 3 minutes at the most. I also really didn’t like the supporting cast; I think they were supposed to be comical and ironic (in a very dark way) but it didn’t come across well. I couldn’t figure out was the genre was dark comedy? Action? Slice of life? Tragedy? Maybe it was lost in translation because the movie only committed to its action and fighting scenes everything else was hazy. Smuggler was wayyyy gruesome and they really over did it with the awful special effects and makeup making it unfit to eat and watch. (At one point a guy was crawling on the ceiling like in a shinobi movie!!)
The movie as a whole has some great characters, a good concept and if I understand correctly it was based on a manga that I haven’t read. The whole thing felt rushed, with the exception of fight scenes, the screenplay writer crammed as many characters and situations as he could into the mere minutes he had to let this play out. Many characters seemed to have problems and situations that really needed to be addressed but were not. The main character seemed lifeless, and though acted very well, was overpowered by other characters. I am so sad I spent almost half a year waiting anxiously for this movie to come out and be subbed only to be so disappointed.
I gave it a 5 because the actors were good, Shota had a cameo, and the concept was interesting.
I wouldn’t rewatch it, but if you are looking into this one- understand this is a rushed manga adaptation.

I loved this movie very moving. I thought that the story was rly well done considering it was based on a true piece of history. I also thought the acting was amazing, but TOP is my bias (totaly fangirl)! I am not sure I would be able to watch this again just b/c I love TOP & don't know if I can handle (slight spoiler) watching him die more than once. Other than that I thought it was rly good. The characters r well built (considering the time frame) and even though not much is said b/t ppl there is a silent understanding b/t the characters that was not hard to understand. It was all very interesting and I enjoyed it even though I wanted to cry. OK, I rly didn't want to cry, but it made my heart hurt a little.

Good movie, great actors, and a lot of war. I recomend it to others just b/c of the historical value and maybe it would make ppl think twice about what they r rly doing b-4 they decide to go to war.

This film definitely seeks a wider non-Asian audience with its many cross cultural references, the main one being European art. Van Gogh’s Starry Night is an important part of the movie and plays an important part in the narrative.

Xu Jiao was great as Mei and Eric Lin was also good as Jay.
Starry Starry Night is a sweet and simple story of adolescence, personal development and innocent love.

This movie is filled with rich visuals. Visual effects like paper animals and three legged elephant have connection with characters’ emotions and that adds extra charm to this movie.
There isn't anything more to tell about this movie. Its just beautiful...simple yet effective.
