This drama is one of my absolute favorites. The storyline is just amazing. I was never bored throughout this whole drama! It was very addicting, and you just want to keep watching. All the cast were very well chosen, and the acting was spectacular. I cried many times throughout this drama, and was constantly surprised. This storyline is very different than regular dramas, and doesn't have a sugar sweet ending in which some will like, and some will not(like me). The music is great and I still listen to it after I finished the drama.
Definitely worth watching!

After watching The Musical I swore to myself I would never watch another drama Koo Hye Sun starred in. Well once TCOUC was announced I thought the premise was something I haven’t seen before and it was also on SBS (have been cranking out pretty awesome dramas lately) so I figured why not give the first episode a try to see if it’s any good. If the plot is any good I might be able to get past Koo Hye Sun’s one note acting…

Story- I was shocked from the very first episode! Some things happen that involve a few of our lead characters, which sets the course for the rest of the show. The first half of the episodes deal with KHS’s character learning to be a co pilot and our main pilot guy trying to tolerate her. In between there are a ton of guest characters who have arcs of their own written into the plot that make the episodes go by fast. Now once the half way mark comes around that’s when we start to see some romantic feelings develop. Next half of the series is lighter but towards the last few eps its gets pretty angsty and frustrating. The last episode ties up all the lose ends nicely=)

Acting/Cast- I really thought the acting by everyone except… Koo Hye Sun was perfect. They really played their roles well and made their characters seem real. There were villains and they made you hate them. I liked the guest characters and I enjoyed seeing their stories. Now Koo Hye Sun really didn’t do as awful as she did in The Musical but I think its kind of sad when 1. your leading man outshines you and 2. The secondary & third female lead outshines you. I also think the chemistry between the 2 leads wasn’t that strong.

Music- Good songs that fit the scenes well but nothing I’m interested in listening to outside the show.

Rewatch- I personally couldn’t watch this again just because I like watching dramas where the leads have a strong romantic chemistry. I’m sure someone else might find this rewatchable though.

Overall TCOUC is good for a one-time watch but I think it would’ve been more enjoyable if a different actress that I could take seriously would have been casted as the female lead.

Okey let's starts with the cast, outstanding! I'm a suspect with Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum and Kim Hyun Joong because i'm a suuuuper fan of them. I watched this drama because it's is a remake of Hana Yori Dango and i wanted to make a comparison x) I liked the korean version more i have to admit they explain more the story and make more sense, Not just the main role but the guest role have a story too, i love that.

I love jang geun suk at the original version buuut tamamori yuta melts my heart with his smile, act and sing. I prefer this version actually and the songs. This version have a better end in my opinion and more explains to the story. I like Shin woo played by Jung Hong Hwa fashion better than Shu but it's a inrelevant matter by thy way kkk.

Kaseifu No Mita takes us into a mysterious thrilling episode-by-episode transformation of a dysfunctional family well into the brink of self-destruction. Oddly enough, a hired housekeeper, a stranger of whom mystery is enigmatic, helps in some odd way to repair the rifts between the family members. Of course, happy-endings somewhat evade you. I mean, what is the fun of happy endings? Where is the drama in it? Where is the thrill? Thus, one can often cringe at the superficiality and cringiness (mind me) of several characters. Some criticize it as a melancholic display of soap opera but I would argue such claims. Isn't it the very human characteristic-- that superficiality? That indecisiveness in times of decisions? That insecurity? That melancholy? So in-fact, this drama does give an accurate portrayal of the destructive and morose capacity of the human emotion. But of course, everything is not so sad as they may appear; after-all, the human experience also shares things like happiness, joy, love, and family values. Indeed, this mysterious play on the human emotion leads to a delightful intellectual orgasm. Oh well, I give it a 10 out of 10!

I liked this drama, its fun and easy going but with storylines that are indepth enough to keep you watching it. Some parts were extremely funny yet others were mature and sad. Each and every character was played by a brilliant cast who can all sing and dance very well. I was sad when I finished watching it because I wanted to see more, good job there's a dream high 2.

This was an enchanting drama! I thought at first the beginning was a little slow and in true slowpoke style it took me a while to realise that the young actors were the child versions of the actors I kept expecting to see (this was probably my own fault though for getting so excited at the prospect of seeing Kim Soo Hyun dressed up as a king). However once I got over my own confusion I enjoyed every moment of this drama.

The child actors were brilliant and in fact I found myself missing them when they finally grew up. One thing I loved about the transition between the child and adult actors was the fact that the adults still resembled their younger counterparts. I had no difficulty working out who was who when they grew up and the acting from every character was outstanding.

Every character was perfect in their role and no character was unnecessary. The emotions that they managed to express... there's enough tears in this drama to fill the Pacific Ocean! I almost drowned during episode 20!

The story was also very original although sometimes was a little predictable. Still, I often found myself wondering how the characters were going to get out of the mess they'd got themselves into. The ending was very satisfying and no story line was left hanging.

Although all of the music was great, a couple of songs didn't seem to fit the genre of the drama. This wasn't much of a problem though and the music overall was outstanding.

I usually find historical dramas a little dull but this one kept me intrigued till the end. I would have watched it just to look at the amazing costumes they wore. This is a very colourful and mesmerising show.

My only criticisms are the story dragged on a little long and I got a bit tired of some of the characters. Without mentioning any names, I sometimes felt like screaming, "JUST GIVE UP!" There were also a few moments that should have been serious but were actually just laughable, how the bad guys seemed to have an endless supply of incompetent ninjas for example. Also after such a long drama, some of episode 20's moments felt a bit rushed and the amount of wailing that went on was understandable but slightly irritating.

However, overall a great drama, I will definitely be rewatching.

I just happened to come across this drama a few months ago while searching for a good J drama to watch cause I hadn't seen one in a while...I was only able to finish it recently cause the rest of the eps finally got subbed=)

Story- The story was simple but never boring. The first part deals with bullying but most of the plot is just the trials that the couple faces in order to stay intact. I found myself becoming too into the romance between the leads. A lot of the scenes they had together were awkward in a good way, they made me laugh because it really was cute. I liked how they came together as friends first because they had something in common (they wanted to escape from their reality). The Kingyo Club is the place where they could that. I even wanted to be a part of their club too! lol. The ending is sweet.

Acting/Cast- Most of the cast is newbies which really surprised me. The acting was very natural which I'm not used to seeing in J dramas. The leads were phenomenal and had an amazing chemistry. They really made the cutest couple ever. The supporting cast all played thier roles well. The villains were villainy but you still felt sympathetic for them.

Music- Fit the scenes well but nothing I'd listen to outside the show.

Rewatch- This drama is short and I loved the leads so I definitely could rewatch this every year.

Overall Kingyo Club might be simple but its a very memorable piece.

Just finished this movie! I'm a little surprised that this movie doesn't have that many viewers, especially since Toda Erika is the female lead...But maybe there aren't many viewers for a good reason.

Story: I think I'll clarify the plot a little, since the synopsis available here and on DramaWiki don't say much. A long time ago, the Male Black Gold Tea Clan was provoked by a Japanese man and the MBGTC went and picked a fight with the Female Black Gold Tea Clan (a "tea battle", so to speak). Things happened, the Yagi family is henceforth cursed forevers for causing chaos, and the curse can only be broken if a Yagi descendent uses the Female Black Gold Tea to defeat the Male Black Gold Tea Clan in a tea battle. Toda Erika is this descendent, as she decides to go to Taiwan from Japan to find a way to break the curse.

Now my thoughts on the story--It was rather creative, though as a person who studied tea in college, the inaccuracies were pretty off-putting. For viewers who have little/no background in tea, this won't be a big problem, just enjoy the show. :) Unfortunately the execution of this movie was extremely poor. The plot was choppy and therefore cryptic, and it really took effort to keep track of what was happening. There wasn't a clear flow of ideas, and this, I believe, is this film's greatest fail point.

The humor that broke in between the serious moments were rather precious though. :)

Acting/Cast: The cast was chosen pretty well, I believe. This movie was a collaboration between Japan and Taiwan, so there are actors and actresses from Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong (apparently). RuHua's actress and the actor who played Toda Erika's father were two of the weakest on the cast (the latter being worse than the former). Perhaps it was the way their character was written, or the way they executed it, but I didn't buy it.

Music: I wish they had used more traditional Eastern-style music, as it is a movie about tea, after all. The music had pretty large disconnect with the film as a whole, and wasn't particularly good from a standalone angle either.

Rewatch Value: Low...low...low. Maybe, a long time from now, I'll skim through the funny parts.

Overall: The film's saving grace is it's humor, and nearly everything else isn't worth a second glance. Also, half the movie is in Mandarin and the other half is in Japanese, so it definitely helps if you have some knowledge of either one of them. The subtitles aren't grammatically correct, and don't have the most accurate of translations (so you might lose out on some humor, I suppose), but there should be no problem understanding the general premise.

This is a story about a a single working mother who takes her young son to live with his grandmother out in the sticks, so that she can continue to work in the city. What follows is the culture clash for this spoilt little city kid having to adjust to rural life.

What makes it special is the grandmother who is mute I understand that this woman was not an actress & was chosen specifically to play this role. All I can say is she did an amazing job.

The bulk of the film is set in the rural community showing the ups and downs between the Grandmother & Grandson, slowly he comes to realise how much she cares for him & he also starts to care for her. Its a slow paced, gentle and poignant film that will leave you with a lump in your throat. I really enjoyed it & recommend it to everyone.

This series was so popular for a reason - defeating all the other dramas. Reading the synopsis it wasn't that interesting but I had heard it was good and on top it was a historical drama so I gave it a go and boy I am so glad that I did.
Story - I thought the story was different and unique in some ways. We have the conventional love triangle but its really different to the usual kdrama plots, from beginning to end the relationships do not change giving the characters more depth and life(SPOILER: although it did annoy at times when Jung Il Woo's character wouldnt let go) also it shows that love doesnt change which I thought was really admirable and inspiring.

The fantasy gives a great twist to the story because you don't usually get historical and fantasy working well together but this worked out really really well. It played a subtle but significant role giving it a different dimension. And most importantly, the love between the main characters were just heartbreakingly beautiful - it had made me cry and ache over the fictional couple many a times - the love was simply just....speechless. Thinking about the pain the characters go through just makes you cry. Although there are many sad parts in this series, there are as many laughs. For many episodes I have cried and laughed repeatedly - the heartwarming humour which dissolves the tense scenes making it easy to watch. The only thing I didnt like is probably how some of the characters were killed off, though justifiable I felt that they could have approached it in different ways or not kill them at all. This drama focuses on romance heavily with a some elements of politics and power - even though the struggle for power and status could have been explores further, the focus on romance was more than enough. If they explored those element then the show would have been too cramped and rushed (20 episodes would not have been enough - would have made it drag also)

Acting/Cast - well it was perfect. Seeing how I cried over this series and the heartache I felt for the characters you could probably guessed that the acting was simply phenomenal especially Kim Soo Hyun did an oscar-winning performance - no exaggeration. I was unsure of him at first but WOW he took my breathe away. Also the young actors/actresses deserve a lot pf praises as well because if they didnt do such a good job the adult actors wouldnt have been able to pull it off and bring the characters to life. Even if the story was not good the acting is well worth it - best acting I've ever seen in Kdramas. Personally I thought they could have casted someone else other than Jung Il Woo - I cannot stand the man so he ruined it a bit for me but thats my own opinion.

Music - again, perfect. The music fitted with all the scenes and enhanced the performances even further making it even more awesome than it already was. The music was just right. Love the OST, have it on repeat on my iPod ever since the series started.

Rewatch value - of course its worth watching again and again. I want to restarting watching it now and its only just finished!! I'm definitely going to buy the DVD and watch it on TV to get the full impact of its awesomeness!

Overall, this drama was fantastic - everything was perfectly executed that even if I wanted to I couldnt fault it on anything major. Not one moment of disappointment and in my opinion the ending was great - although I thought it was a bit rushed but even the PD's couldn't do anything about it since there was a strike. I love how every episode counts, usually missing an epsiode or so wouldnt be the end of the world but with this missing an episode was the end of the world aha (slight exaggeration). Throughout the drama I was on the edge of my seat, like a leopard ready to pounce. Outstanding performances was the highlight of the show and I am definitely following some of the actors past and future dramas without a doubt. It is soooooo worth losing sleep over!

I just finished the drama and all I can say is; I loved it.

The story is interesting, it catched my attetion as soon as I read it. The actors are great and the characters whom they play are really interesting. The background music is good and I'm sure I'll re-watch the whole drama within a few days because I liked it so much :)

I think that the plot is really original, it's way more than your usual good vs. bad battle you see in other supernatural drama's.
This drama asks the questions everybody copes with while warching the serie; "What is good? What is bad" "Is doing the social right thing, really the best thing to do?" "Who decides what's wrong?" "When doing the wrong thing will save many others, is it still not the right thing to do?"

The drama is about 2 guys who are exceptionally gifted with a special power yet are cursed at the same time.... They never asked to be born with those powers, they just happen to have them. It's not always nice to posses something others don't have. Because when you're special, you're different from others.
Being special, being able to do inhuman things causes the people around you to envy, hate or wanna use you. When you make one decision, it'll always have consequences for another. People judge them based on their personal ideas or situations and get mad when they don't act according to their ideas. But who gets to decides what the right decision is? Society? The people with power? The people with money? Or them...?

Both Nishikido Ryo and Takizawa Hideaki are great actors and portray their character perfectly if you ask me. They are able to keep their own personality through the story even though you'll see that they, just like the people around them, slowly start to change. Even though they change they won't lose their personality, something I really liked (which happens often in drama's).

Even though this drama has only 9 episodes (there were circumstances during the filming, I read that both actors got sick or something) I liked the ending. I know not everyone will agree with me but it's better than I expected and quite fitting with the rest of the story.

To make a long story short; if you like supernatural drama's with a lot deep psychological moments this is an absolute must watch :)

I first thought this was some kind of a silly movie since I saw Harumas hair...xD..So I found it on youtube one day and started watching it..And at first I thought well it's ok..And as the movie passed the more intrigued I was...I was so happy at first, and then the sad part came and i got teary..then again happy and when the end came i found myself with tishues all over and my face swallen because I cried so much...The story just hit me..it made a great impression..and I can honestly say this is not only the best japanese drama I watched but one of my favourite movies of all times..:)..The acting was amazing.I just love Haruma and Yui as a couple, both of them are beautiful, talented and not only as actors but also as singers.Yuis Heavenly Days id a beautiful song..I rewatched it 2 or 3 times and I plan on doing it a lot of times more..So if you like an outstanding love story Koizora is the best choice...

When I first saw the picture for this movie and read the summary, I wasn't too interested; I thought that one had to like motorbikes and cars and fast chase scenes. Now this movie has alot of that, but it's not the only thing that it has to offer.

At first glance, it seems like your typical action movie but this one provides alot of comedy. The actors and main actress are all great and there are many scenes that will make you laugh. Even during the serious and dramatic scenes, there is always something to bring in the comedy.

Trust me on this one and give it a try!
