The movie starts out with 54 school girls gleefully jumping in front of a train. This sets the tone for the type of campy gore that is featured throughout the movie. I don't particularly like gore, but I like movies that make me think, and the plot definitely kept me thinking/scratching my head in confusion.
The story is set up as a mystery involving a website, a pop group, and a bag, that are linked to a wave of seemingly random mass suicides. The story is really much bigger than a simple mystery plot. There are a lot of esoteric scenes that turn this movie into an unapologetically ambiguous social commentary (If all of your friends jumped off of a bridge, would you???). The mystery does eventually get solved, but the resolution just leads to more questions. My rewatch value score is high, because my confusion over parts of the story was so high. I honestly think the concept was much stronger than the actual story, and individual scenes were stronger than the plot as a whole. I usually hate movies that put metaphor before plot, but this movie still manages to be so entertaining. The subject matter is serious, but many of the scenes have more of a dark comedy feel, and did I mention it's sort of a musical?
I had to give the soundtrack a 10 because it left such an impression. I love how disturbingly catchy Dessert's songs were, and I still want the "mail me" ringtone. I have no idea why the Genesis' character starts randomly singing, but his song was also stuck in my head afterwards. I admit that a couple of the songs made it onto my iPod.
This movie is a hard one to recommend. It took a second viewing for me to realize that I actually liked it, and I do now own it. If you can handle a little gore, and and feel like watching something unconventional, I'd say give it a try. Join the club ; )

City Hunter is very well rounded with a plot that lacks nothing. It shows that revenge can be something that binds us as well as sets us free.
OH MY goodness the acting was superb. I hated the father and the prosecutor until the last possible second and then all that hate disappeared and I found myself crying because I found my love for them so late. Lee Min Ho does not disappoint (oh the shirt-less scenes!!!!!!! Don't even get me started on the kissing). He was able to embody all fassets of Lee Yoon Sung from the innocent teenager, to the fierce adult seeking revenge, to a man falling in love, and a confused son seeking the love of his father. And Park Min Young was an amazing Kim Na Na. Not only was she able to embody a woman whose personality doesn't allow her to understand those she thinks to be wrong but she was able to throw that aside to protect Yoon Sung.
I admit I was extemely skeptical at first. I'm not a huge fan of action dramas and I thought that part of the drama would over power the romance but it only added to it. It was the perfect blend.
A MUST MUST MUST MUST see!!!!!!!!

The drama lacks depth - even for a light drama this seemed too light (and this is coming from a person who likes watching shallow things from time to time). It grabbed my attention from the very first episode, I was hooked! Then the following few episodes seemed very promising - the scenario unfolded brilliantly, the story kept getting better and better that I was eager to see more; the chemistry between the 2 main characters was also very pleasant. But about halfway through that spell broke. It felt as if the story got stuck in a point and it just dragged its way to the end. The romantic scenes between Lee So Young and Choi Jin Wook always left me wanting more. It was like something was missing. They had a real potential to develop the relationship on a deeper level but they kept it on the surface. To me this was the most disappointing aspect.
Acting: Even if you don't like light dramas or feel like you can't connect to this one, at least Choi Daniel is a good enough reason to watch it. If it wasn't for his character I might have given it up at one point. I would give him 10/10 for managing to put a smile on my face each time he appeared in a scene :)
The supporting roles also added to the humour of the drama. It wouldn't have been the same without Team Leader Kim Joon Soo ;)
Music: Pretty good. It completed the atmosphere quite well. Memorable enough to be recognize if heard outside the drama, but subtle enough to not even be noticed during the scenes.
Overall though, I guess this is a drama you should keep for when you want to have some light humour. One can certainly enjoy it, but don't expect much emotional depth.

I can generally see the plot for the whole drama after the first episode or two. I can gather who is going to die and who is the culprit. What I liked about Wild Romance was that I couldn’t tell what was going to happen until the writers gave a hint. Although it is a rom-com there is some really intensive mystery going on, which really kept the plot going and moving. Kudos to the writers for not just relying on the romance to move things along! Although some characters were better played than others I really did like the majority of the characters that were introduced. I felt like the main and supporting characters all had depth that showed as the drama progressed. (I.E. Kim Dong Ho’s role as the Manager). I really fell in love with Lee Si young who played Eun Jae, she was one of those female leads who didn’t change herself for love, she found love just the way she was. I totally loved how really vulnerable she was the whole way through the drama, and how naturally Si Young seemed to play up that aspect.
The main reason I didn’t want to watch Wild Romance was because I was positive the Eun Jae character was going to be all talk. (I was wrong) Next I was sure the Park Moo Yul character would come to love her after some kind of see her naked scene, or she would save a loved one. (I was happily wrong as well) Lastly I didn’t want to watch because I started to feel really embarrassed for Eun Jae, and the more I felt bad for her (ep 4-5) the less I watched. I pushed through it and found it more enjoyable than I thought. Now I will admit to fast forwarding through long looks at each other, some baseball talk (though I learned a lot!) and some of the “searching” scenes. There were a lot of “searching” scenes.
Overall I am glad I watched this one all the way through. I like to see a character who feels like they don’t deserve love, win it on their own terms. That’s what happened with our Eun Jae, and that should give inspiration to many a girls who try to change themselves. Although there wasn’t much eye candy, there were a few bare chested men throughout so I am okay. I hope those who have put this down pick it back up because it certainly gets sweeter, better, and the ending is not what you think!

I couldn't hate the main character, as selfish as she was I preferred watching her evil and calculative nature than Sin Hyeon Wu's transformation. I found Yoon Jae Hee annoying and her story too sugary for my taste. Even after it became clear who will win the battle, I continued to support Ah Ran, not trying to find excuses for her behavior but loving her strong and yet vulnerable character. The end was predictable but it was fair to the story.
I don't regret watching the series, but I'm sure I'm not going to see it again. My conclusion : not a bad series but it could've been better.

At first, I was very hesitant to watch the drama since I thought it would be disappointing one. I read lots and lots of reviews about this and they all said it was good. Now, well look at me, i'm writing a review about this already.
This drama may not have the very satisfying or perfect ending but at least we can formulate our own ending.
This drama will make you laugh --- a lot; and cry --- a lot too.
It doesn't have the best romance, the best acting, the best music or whatever but I can say they have the best bonding and will surely touch your hearts. ;)
Watch this drama and you won't regret it.
At first, I was like, "why would they even put Dae Sung in this drama?" Although his character doesn't contribute much to the main idea of the drama, his real personality was shown and thus making the drama more fun.
Park Tae Hee is cute too. Oh Doo Ri will be the next Yoon Eun Hye. Im Joo Hwan (Jang Jae Hun), I will wait for you to finish your service and film WHAT'S UP VOLUME 2! :D

However, this was not totally up to my expectations. The first huge and main mistake is the fact that half of the story is before the end of the drama. They kind of go back to start the story, they even repeat the last marriage scene (although with different dresses, wonder why). That makes it less exciting and you kind of start losing the enthusiasm to watch the rest. The second half followed the same heartwarming way of telling the story, with Rei meeting Ryuuji and them having to make choices about them as a couple and the dreams they both have yet to accomplish, although the pace was somehow a little bit too slow in my opinion.
Nevertheless, you can’t help but watch till the end to know what happens. At first I didn’t like the end (so, what happened to them? You may ask) but then I understood it: it makes you think that life goes on, that you have to keep fighting for your dreams and sometimes changing it as you go. The fact that it was not a closed “happy forever after” ending made it look more real.

All the 4 girls have very distinctive characters and that adds a lot to the story, the way they all think differently but create a strong friendship bond between them. Of course it also has the romance factor, and there are some really sweet scenes, especially those between Rei and DoS Ryuuji. But I think the main thing to look forwards in this drama is how all of them try to discover what their dream is and try to accomplish it.
The acting was not perfect, but considering that most of them were newcomers it’s understandable. I found it so funny that Hiraoka Yuka who has become pretty know recently only got a few lines where we would repeat what the others said in a louder voice. (Not all, but a LOT and after a few times I was really laughing at that)
Another thing that deserves mention is the music. Of course if you are an Otsuka Ai fan you already know how sweet her voice is, so this will probably be no surprise. The soundtrack was really perfect for the drama and the lyrics were really touching, although sometimes I found myself skipping at some songs they had already played.
