A very cute watch.

To be honest when I first watch this drama I was a little bored so I dropped it for a while. A couple months later I came back and tried to rewatch it, and I ended up loving it, though the original cherry magic was definitely better. In my opinion Thailand’s version of it is still very good I really liked the casting of Tay and New And I also loved seeing some new faces. Those some parts are cheesy and hard to watch that just made it all the better. There was one plot at the end that did make me rule down my review just a little bit, The no office romance plot. It didn’t really serve any purpose or really do anything to the story so I found it kind of meaningless but nonetheless it out a little bit of drama into the end if you’re looking for something cute and easy to watch this would definitely be it, but if you’re looking for something with a long plot This probably wouldn’t be it. To be completely honest if Tay and New weren’t in the cast. I probably wouldn’t have went back to rewatch it. but still, I give this drama an 8 (To compare I gave the original cherry magic a 9.5)

My 2 cents - Why this drama isn't what these ratings will make you believe

Only God knows how this is 8.9 lol, I mean it's could have been 8.4ish ( without those last 3-4 episodes, especially the last one) but man oh man mdl strikes hyping an average show with no sense ending ( and lead up to it), The show turned from switch off your brain and watch and you will like it to, forget you have brain and keep believing it was really good to make up for all the loopholes, no sense things happening. I mean this should be at max around 8.1-8.2 lol. Yes it was entertaining (well atleast til 30ish episode) and I don't mind loop or average acting in some cases, but for complete 40 episodes it's just a show you won't regret watching nothing spectacular here with a typical no sense last cdrama episode.

Reasons why this is what it is :
1. Overcompensation by people as this started as underrated drama and people were surprised that it turned out to be good
2. No big traffic actor so no hate ratings
3. A feel good drama with no angst or scenario where main leads can fail or be wrong

No wonder it got average rating in china

Cliches done right

No unnecessary drama, no convoluted plots. Just a beautiful story led by great characters and good story telling. Bring tissues, you have been warned.

It's a sad movie done right. Brought to you by the same screen writer as I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. Story has multiple emotional scenes that were portrayed brilliantly by the main cast that draw you in from the first scene. While it does not have any twists or shock value it pulls on the viewers heart strings and reminds us how precious every second of our lives are.

For Fans of the Lost Tomb Series and Liu Chang

Another completely biased review from me to you

I've become totally enamored with Liu Chang recently (his appearance in Link Click is yummy) so I've been going through his past series and watching. I had already watched Reunion: The Sound of Providence previously (his character is so fun and untrustworthy and deadly and he has a major crush on Zhang Qiling so I can relate) so I'm watching other lost tomb side stories now. I started with the Reunion side story Ping Yao Wang Shi. Oh boy, that was pretty bad. Next up this series, Echo of Moonfall. Surprisingly good. At least compared to the reunion side show. I really like Liu Chang's voice and he looks great with his long hair and costume in this, but I do admit I miss him pushing up his glasses all the time. I don't know why I like that so much but here we are.

A couple of thoughts
1. As much as I love Liu Chang, he should never try rapping again!
2. Liu Chang singing to a creepy wooden doll was not on my bucket list.
3. Pouring wine on a stab wound through a leather outer robe, then a snakeskin robe, then something that looks like sparkly metallic, and finally plain black cloth, so like 4 layers of clothing, seems pretty useless
4. WTAF was the whole jade meteorite flash and all of a sudden the previous inhabitants of the respective bodies appear with nifty new outfits on? Though I do like Liu Chang's Disney prince look.
5. Whoever did the paint-by-numbers job on the FL needs to go back to makeup school. Was it put on with a trowel? With that makeup she looks like she is ready to go hang out on a street corner somewhere. Ok, done being snarky.
6. Nice open ending, but hey we got to see a bit of a wedding scene at the end, sorta, in the credits.

I'm curious as to how Liu Chang has gotten all these Lost Tomb side stories. Most especially since they cross the different series/casts.

This is a short, 14 episode web series you can watch in under an hour and it's fun. Don't expect Reunion-level but still pretty interesting. I watched it on youtube with subs at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68RvGF_k-jE&list=PLwtrWaDwiqUdY4Ys6b5oAsSf5iQyduKP9&index=1

Could not stop watching

I'm a sucker for revenge plots but most fall short in pacing, storyline and execution towards the ending arc of the story. Not this one. At all.

The beginning of this drama shows Xue Li being held against her will in a setup by her mother-in-law. Later, her husband walks in and carries her away to finish the deed of killing her under the guise of "I'm forced to do it". From that point on, the female protagonist takes on another identity and, step by step, rights the wrongs of the parties involved.

Where other revenge plots fall short in pacing and character identity, "The Double" fleshes out each persona in a believable way and shows the good characters as imperfect, and the bad ones with reasoned motives. A special mention goes to actress Li Meng for her portrayal of Princess Wan Ning and actor Liang Yong Qi as the ex-husband Shen Yu Rong. I have never despised a princess as much as Wan Ning, and the mindset of Shen Yu Rong is displayed with such subtle eye emotions that I actually found myself trying to figure out if he had any good qualities left in his soul or if his cruel actions had snuffed out all of the qualities that had once believed in justice.

The main actors Wu Jin Yan and Wang Xing Yue deserve the top award for blazing chemistry and nuanced portrayals. In American TV dramas, they spend ten minutes on character development and then WHAM, here comes the bed scene. What these actors, writers, and directors created was cinema magic. The characters were paced at a slow and believable burn, which led me to a believable definition of what a love story consisted of.

To the rest of the cast, there were notable and affluent actors in small parts throughout and this added a rich texture to the story. I cannot say enough about how interesting the narrative was, the plot twists, and how satisfying and believable the justified demise of those who committed wrongs. My one (and very small) pet peeve was the makeup. I love natural skin tones and the whitening in the makeup took me a minute to get used to. I know there is a beauty standard for pale in some Asian cultures, but the exceedingly beautiful actress looked off with the cosmetics used.

Definitely, definitely, check this drama out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Idol Factory, wow, Saint did it again.

I just finished watching The sign special episode. I'm still reeling from the experience! This special episode was absolutely phenomenal, exceeding my expectations in every way.

The story was expertly woven, with a perfect blend of romance, drama, and tension. The characters' development was exceptional, with Phaya and Tharn stealing the show with their chemistry and emotional depth.

The dialogue was crisp and natural, the plot twists were expertly handled, and the pacing was impeccable. But what truly made this episode shine was the emotional resonance - I laughed, cried, and felt my heart flutter alongside the characters.

The acting, cinematography, and soundtrack all deserve special mention for elevating the episode to new heights.

Overall, this special episode was a masterclass in storytelling, character development, and emotional resonance. If you're a fan of BL or just great storytelling in general, do yourself a favor and watch this episode - it's an unforgettable experience!

Guess Who I Am is a good comedy with a nice romantic storyline. This drama has other genres mixed up within the comedy so there are episodes that offer mystery, thrill, romance, and overacted funny moments; and that’s where the plot fails. The cast did a very good job within every situation but the jumps between plots interrupted the flow of the stories. The characters, especially when they were all working together, were fun to watch, and the leading couple performed well together and has a nice funny, intellectual, and romantic chemistry. So, what is the problem with this drama? A group of six highly savvy and somewhat quirky individuals are tied together by the string of past tragedies in the leading couple’s lives and they find themselves in the web of the antagonist’s psychopathic plans. Later on, a seventh guy is added into the mixture and the drama turns into a mix of Mr. & Mrs. Smith partners with a Scooby-Doo’s flair. Somehow, even with the nonsensical and useless fantasy aspect of the show, the characters managed to bring about an entertaining drama with their chemistry and antics. Overall, even if no genre is fully developed, the drama is entertaining.
(P.S. This review makes as much sense as the drama itself!) ?

Oh dear….

I have so much to say about this but I truly do not know how to put my thoughts into words without it becoming a tangent so I’m gonna try my best.

Someone described it has a proper queer movie & I could not agree more! It had everything you could ask for…passion..angst…EVERYTHING!

I started off the movie gutted I hadn’t watch it a lot sooner…if only I had remembered why I initially didn’t watch it the first time it was on my radar…If only.

It’s honestly been a while since a queer movie moved me - or got a reaction this did out of me…I literally bawled my eyes out (non stop) in the remaining half of the movie.

I do have to say I went in blind not fully reading the synopsis due to the fact that many synopsis on here tend to contain spoilers, then about 5 minutes in I thought to come back and read it properly. While the thought of something tragic happening did cross my mind. I was not expecting what I got cause I thought ‘gone are the days of queer cinema with sad endings’…..How naive I was.

Lastly, I know this is fictional - but, Kosuke was definitely a godsend to that family and I could not help but hurt for him.

The cast did a fantastic job portraying these nuance characters. We need more of this in Asian queer cinema…of course with more happy endings.

not the action I was hoping for

Overall: this 1 hour and 25 minutes follow up was fine, but it was very detective/action heavy and less character focused. Now available to watch on Idol Factory's YouTube channel. The first part of five is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfuX7Ln_m9U&ab_channel=IDOLFACTORYOFFICIAL (currently they don't have a YouTube Playlist)

Content Warnings: deaths, grief, violence/fights, blood, kidnapping

What I Liked
- 1 steamy scene was pretty well done though it could have been a bit longer
- element of fantasy though it felt underdeveloped
- they did explain 1 nonsense plot element that happened in the series which I appreciated
- addressed workplace gender discrimination

Room For Improvement
- main characters did not have any character growth, one was still lying and the other was being overly possessive
- many nonsense law enforcement things that took me out of the story
- odd goofy humor/comedy sound effects combined with a very serious plot
- presence of the little girl was not for me
- production needed to shorten up the time that they released it in Thailand/not international friendly streaming option (May 26th) to when they released it on YouTube (June 27th). At least it was only a day or two after it was for paid channel members that they released it for free on YouTube. The too long of a gap happened with the final episode as well, it would be okay if they just shortened the time between releases i.e. live in person event/thaiticketmajor online streaming May 26th, 1 week later YouTube channel members, 4 days after that free on YouTube

If God is real, why did he let me see this?

I struggled to watch it to the end just to be able to criticise it without some loudmouth saying "if you haven't seen the whole thing you can't have an opinion" and I feel like I wasted my life, I feel like I could sue for emotional damages.

The only two things I liked were the set design, I thought it was quite aesthetically pleasing, the locations looked elegant and luxurious, plus, the male actors along with Byeon Seo Yoon and Pyo Young Seo served face and looked great in every shot. I also liked the way the parent-child relationships were portrayed, I know from someone close to me that those rich people are usually like that with their children. And that's all the good I can say, all of it.

Things I didn't like in no specific order:

+ The make-up: What the hell happened to them? Those pink blushes they put on He-ra, I understand if they wanted to make her look exaggerated, but it looks more like a hate crime towards the actress because she looks stupid, my mother thought she was playing the role of a drunk middle aged woman when she passed by me. At times I could see the 7 make up masks they put on the main actress, she looked like a plastic doll, it made me sick to my stomach, it was like watching a soulless doll that for some reason WAS ON THE SCREEN 90% OF THE TIME, MORE THAN THE PROTAGONIST. It was horrible.

+ The execution: I feel that I didn't see a drama, but a collage of various scenes that perhaps should have been approached and ordered differently. Revenge is supposed to be the central point, so where is it? It's the worst story of its kind, Senior High (Filipino series) did it better. 5 episodes went by and no one did anything either for revenge or protection, I don't remember a single interesting or shocking moment in all this, it got to a point where I just gave a dead stare at the screen and used it as a backdrop to do the dishes. Revenge is relegated to make way for nothing, because I don't feel like they built good characters, only He-ra was interesting to me, she was the only one doing anything in particular besides... Talking? Remembering? That was all the rest of the people did beyond looking cute. They should have put all that luxury of the sets, the cars and the outfits into the story and its development as well, make it all dramatic and fake like they are rich in real life.
I remember this scene where the lead actress touches the main character's bracelet and remembers that the dead scholarship kid had the same one, I almost cried from laughter and anger. Are you telling me no one else noticed? No one? If they were bullying him they should have at least noticed that. Besides, how come that idiot Ri-an didn't think of who shot that video? Pay some brain cells with that money please. If it's a private residence just for one person's family, IT'S OBVIOUS WHO THE MAIN SUSPECTS ARE. I guess they wanted to go slow so that everything would explode in the final chapters, but even that didn't work. If you want to do that you should at least put effort into your characters and the story, the background of everything. The only redeemable thing was Ri-an's handsome friend being the traitor, what a bastard.

+ The protagonist: If someone is the MC they should be the one with the most development and story, they should be a good character even if they are there for me to love or hate with every fibre in my body. Kang Ha is the main character, but it's not until chapter 6 that we are let to know Kang Ha for a 1 minute scene revolving around that girl, the FL, I didn't even learn her name, even He-ra feels more real as a character. I understand that there are more main characters, but damn, it's even Kang Ha who is talked about in the synopsis, where is he then, why does he appear so little? We know next to nothing about him, his personality, how he was raised to have that "I don't care if someone so rich threatens me" energy because he seems to think he's going to be resurrected if the rich decide to annihilate him. It would be nice if they had shown that, also that maybe he had taken fighting classes when his brother died, because it seems like he went into that school without a plan or skills to get out of there unscathed. The type of protagonist in these stories should be brave and smart, or at least thoughtful and brave, not just daring. Or AT LEAST GET ON SCREEN AND ACT, even if he's just going to be an observer at first before he puts a plan together, he needs to do something on screen, show us where he lives and the information he's gathered, the allies he gets in the shadows, SOMETHING. The only chapter where he is really the protagonist is in chapters 6 and 7, when he is trying to create a revolt of the scholarship students, but that doesn't make sense either. They hated him because he broke the rules that protected them all, there were never any interactions that would bring Kang Ha closer to them, he's a selfish person and it's obvious to everyone, he even prefers to protect the plastic face girl over them, why would they join him for anything? What nonsense. If you want to make a kind of story where the oppressed are liberated, at least take a history book, a country like Korea knows what struggle and revolution is, why would you make something so bland and shallow then? Don't make a story like that just because you think it's cool. AT LEAST GIVE A GOOD PROTAGONIST. The fool even put revenge aside for a girl who really has no charm, how can two men fight over chicken breast soup with no seasoning? It's just water with tasteless chicken.

Not much more to say, nothing happened. Although, what was that moment of evangelising those rich kids at the end? Does anyone really think that rich people care that much about karma? Those people are aware of who they are, they don't give a damn about the damage they do, don't make me laugh. There was so little chemistry between the men and women here that they might as well have made a bl and at least had something interesting.

A Sweet Romance

This version of Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong was the oldest.
The orchard, farming and the love for the nature was well portraited by the main cast. Andrew and Pock had a great chemistry
Auntie Kaew is hilarious. This indeed a slow burn romance. And Never thought this would be a great lakorn.

I really couldn't find any thing to dislike in this lakorn. The way they solved the problems were logical at most. They bicker a lot at first but they end up in love at last. I like how Darunee's character developed from mischievous to a calm, mature person. I first wasn't intended to watch because of the farming male lead as it's not my fav genre, but now I love it. This made my love for watching older lakorns more and more.

my opinion

I really really like this show although I have seen a lot of people saying that it’s bad and there’s no chemistry between the characters but I think that they have great chemistry! I love both actors and I’m glad they got there own show togethe, I really enjoy the storyline but I do admint that it’s kind of weird. I would definitely recommend and I hope people will start to enjoy this drama like I do!!!! Please give it a chance!!!!!!!!!! If you disagree with me it’s totally fine we don’t need to have the same opinion!!!!!?
