The Person in the Mirror (2025) is a great romance miniseries with ML: Fang Zheng Nan (as Yu Jing Zhi) and FL: Wu Jia Lu (as Su Mian) in the leadings couple's doles. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a fascinating rapport and, once they become a real couple, their affinity gave way to an impassioned romantic chemistry. The male and female lead are both intelligent and determined, the male lead is understanding and supportive of the female lead which has a mischievous appearance and cocky attitude but, deep inside, she is lovely and thoughtful. The male family is quite hilarious and bring a charming and funny tone to the story. Overall, this drama offered romance, tragedy, comedy, and a bit of mystery that made the story interesting and quite entertaining; enjoy it!

Ridicules story...

While high-concept fantasy romances can be a lot of fun, *Love Better Than Immortality* struggles heavily with its narrative execution. The plot often feels ridiculous, relying on absurd setups, forced tropes, and illogical character decisions that make it difficult to stay invested in the story.

Between the messy pacing and a convoluted script, the storytelling falls flat and tests your patience. While the actors do what they can with the material they were given, the weak and poorly structured plot holds the entire series back from being a truly enjoyable watch.

Un sogno... Che si infrange a metà.

Sano e divertente intrattenimento: questo era il massimo che immaginavo di poter chiedere a questo drama e quindi questo è stato il mio esiguo metro di giudizio. Nella prima metà c’è stato dentro, nella seconda anche no.

TRAMA - Due ex compagni di scuola si ritrovano dopo un’infelice separazione: lei, Ju I Jae, è diventata una giornalista trentenne che ha messo da parte i suoi sogni cinematografici mentre lui, Woo Su Bin, si è invece affermato all’estero quale esordiente regista di successo. Poi lui torna, ormai realizzato, e si mette sulle tracce del suo primo amore – ovvero lei – con l’intento di dirigere insieme il film la cui sceneggiatura avevano abbozzato in adolescenza. Lei è risentita dall’abbandono e professionalmente demotivata ma, dopo una serie di tira e molla, accetta la proposta. La love story decolla nel mentre delle riprese che porteranno però Ju I Jae a fare anche determinanti considerazioni rispetto al proprio futuro.

TEMA PRINCIPALE: Sulla carta credo volesse essere l’importanza di inseguire i propri sogni e sentirsi realizzati, per poter vivere liberamente un amore pieno, piuttosto che sacrificare i desideri coltivati da una vita proprio in virtù di un amore che si veste, di conseguenza, di un sottile strato di egoismo. Nel concreto si è capito, ma non direi ben riuscito: sono state impostate le basi ma poi ha però vinto la tentazione di scivolare nei classici cliché, con conseguente virata verso il piatto e il monotono. (Apro una parentesi di riflessione generale: mi sembra di essere un disco rotto ma questo percorso si sta riproponendo sempre più di frequente nei kdrama degli ultimi anni, dove l’inizio coltiva qualche speranza ma poco dopo la serie va alla deriva… E non si riprende più. Non vale per tutti i lavori, ovviamente, ma per un numero via via sempre maggiore).

PERSONAGGI – La caratterizzazione qui ha fatto un po’ acqua da tutte le parti: Woo Su Bin rientra in patria tutto gaio e speranzoso di riprendere con Ju i Jae dal punto in cui si erano interrotti. Dispensa sorrisi e avance e sembra quasi stranirsi della refrattarietà di lei. Ma se sai di essertene andato in malo modo, senza nemmeno una spiegazione decente, dovresti aspettarti che oltre a essersi probabilmente rifatta nel frattempo una vita, se ti dovesse incrociare anche solo per caso ti manderebbe giustamente a quel paese. E invece no, lui si comporta come se avesse semplicemente messo in pausa un nastro per pochi minuti, prima di tornare a premere il pulsante play come se nulla fosse. Che senso ha? Nessuno.
Ju i Jae, al contrario, si riesce a capirla di più all’inizio che nella seconda metà del drama. E’ incazzosa quando se lo vede ricomparire davanti, e ci sta. Resta un po’ ferma sulla sua posizione, poi comincia a tentennare e finisce – adducendo tutte le motivazioni del caso – per accettare la proposta di una doppia regia. Da lì si inizia a scadere in dinamiche convenzionali e ampiamente prevedibili: siamo ancora lontani dalla conclusione del drama e sembra non ci sia la capacità di portare avanti la trama senza creare nuove crisi di coppia. L’ultima parte dell’evoluzione del personaggio di I Jae suona più forzata che credibile, carica di una drammatizzazione che è evidentemente a uso e consumo dello spettatore.
Dato lo scarso lavoro fatto sulle figure principali parlare dei personaggi secondari non ha nemmeno molto senso, il secondo pairing in particolare era partito bene ma si è rivelato poi deludente.

CAST – Uno dei pochissimi aspetti positivi del drama. I protagonisti sono due attori non eccellenti ma di sicuro interessanti. Hwang In Yeob l’ho conosciuto in “A prefabricated family” e mi aveva lasciato una buona impressione. Ha un fascino e un carisma particolare, oltre a un buon livello di recitazione che necessita ancora di essere raffinato, nonostante non sia più giovanissimo (ne ha trentacinque ma direi proprio che non li dimostra). Ha una buona espressività, ma un po’ limitata ad alcune situazioni. Hye Ri aveva un volto che mi diceva qualcosa ma non la ricordavo particolarmente, ho notato solo a visione finita che avevo visto altri drama con lei nel ruolo della FL. La trovo un’attrice valida per dei drama di buon livello, qui purtroppo – come anche Hwang In Yeob – imbrigliata in una sceneggiatura che non aiutava a trasporre un personaggio a tutto tondo. Tra gli attori secodari, quella che ho più apprezzato è stata Park Ji Young nei panni della madre di O Ha Na (e madre biologica dello stesso Woo Su Bin).

ASPETTI TECNICI – Siamo a un classico livello standard, nel bene e nel male. Nulla degno di nota, ma non ci sono nemmeno strafalcioni evidenti. C’è un po’ l’impressione di aver garantito un livello adeguato ma anche di essersi ben guardati dall’andare oltre: un comparto anonimo, praticamente un mero accessorio, che evita di ricercare valori aggiunti. Non è il poco ma fatto bene, piuttosto il poco senza voglia di fare.

IN CONCLUSIONE - Un classico second-chance romance leggero e non impegnativo, con un cast interessante ma che non porta, di fatto, nulla di nuovo e si perde nelle solite scene ultra drammatizzate. Ad un inizio che si lascia guardare segue un noioso e costante declino, e questo è quanto. Visto, salutato e archiviato insieme a tutti gli altri titoli che ultimamente seguono lo stesso iter.

Short but unconventionally sweet and with depth

Wrote this review as I want to support this drama. This is the first drama wherein I felt sad for the 2ML or didnt hate his choices. FL and 2ML are just victims of their own circumstances. Maybe in another life, or drama they’ll end up together. But I understand not in this one. That being said, i like the story of the leads. The ML is swoon worthy, well-written and I understand why the FL fell for him. I would have wanted one more episode perhaps to expand their love story or perhaps a wedding, but it was explained well at the end why their relationship is that way. But still hoping for post-epilogue. I like the tensions and sweet moments between the leads. It’s not high budget but managed to deliver.

A Visually Sharp, Engaging Sci-Fi Mystery Despite Mid-Show Slowdowns

Mobius delivers an engaging, slick sci-fi thriller that makes great use of its five-day time loop mechanic. Rather than feeling like a typical repetitive reset story, the series turns time loops into a strategic game of chess. The plot moves quickly, the visual style feels high budget, and the cat-and-mouse tension between the lead detective and the antagonist keeps you guessing throughout the investigation.

Bai Jingting shines in the lead role, bringing natural charisma, sharp comedic timing, and impressive action choreography. The supporting police squad adds great warmth and genuine humor, and their team dynamic is easily one of the strongest parts of the entire show. The sleek urban cinematography, atmospheric lighting, and clean fight scenes give the drama an energetic, modern thriller vibe that stands out.

The drama does stumble slightly in a few areas. Because the entire series centers around a single major corporate case, the middle episodes can occasionally feel drawn out as the same events are revisited. Additionally, the romantic subplot between the leads lacks natural chemistry and feels somewhat tacked on compared to the much stronger camaraderie within the investigative unit.

Even with a few pacing slowdowns, the series remains thoroughly entertaining, stylish, and easy to follow. It offers a solid mix of action, mystery, and team banter that makes it well worth the watch for thriller fans.

An Okay drama

Blue Lips was an enjoyable watch with a pretty interesting premise. The Vandagon mystery in particular gave the story enough of a hook to keep me curious about what was actually going on.

I also liked both male leads individually because they genuinely felt like they had lives outside of their relationship. Shixian especially always seemed to have something going on, which made him feel like a character rather than someone who only existed for the romance.

The chemistry between the leads was probably one of my favorite things about the drama. I'd give it an 8/10. Their scenes together didn't feel overly awkward, and I actually found myself looking forward to seeing them interact. The romance itself was nice too. There was some reliance on the classic miscommunication trope for relationship conflict, but thankfully, it didn't ruin my enjoyment of their relationship.

The acting, however, was just okay. Nothing particularly stood out to me, and there were moments where the emotional delivery felt a little lacking. Still, there weren't any characters I particularly disliked, so the drama remained an easy enough watch.

The first arc was definitely what stood out the most to me. I was genuinely curious about why Shixian wore blue lipstick and, more importantly, why Teng Mo was running an adult toy shop when he was clearly affluent. Those little mysteries made me want to keep watching and figure things out.

As for the ending, it was predictable enough. The sister's death happened pretty much as expected, and the two leads eventually ended up together. Nothing was particularly wrong with it, but it also wasn't an ending that left much of an impression.

Lukewarm praise aside. THE DUBBING GOT ON MY Nerves. The AI music or smtg that was on ep 1, the singing that felt so at odds with whatever was going on, that shit almost made me drop the drama. But oh well.

Overall, I'd say Blue Lips was a perfectly decent 7/10 watch. I enjoyed my time with it and finished feeling pretty satisfied, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it because it wasn't remarkable enough to make me want to tell everyone to watch it. If someone has the time and asks me about it, though, I'd probably just say, "Go ahead, it's not bad."

Watched some of the show, read WEBTOON first, I’m disappointed.

I originally started this show when it had first aired got to episode 5 or 6 and didn’t really come back to the show till now I rewatched to get myself refreshed with the show and I won’t lie it was a bit of a hassle to do so.Apart from some redeeming moments that were really funny even a second time around.Now I will say I sadly dropped this show at about episode 8 currently. It wasn’t because they didn’t follow the WEBTOON to the t. I will get into that first to start with the positives then where there’s the negatives for me.

The beginning was actually pretty close to the WEBTOON in some cases I was a bit put off to the difference in wardrobe and looks of the characters (that was the whole charm to it imo especially that the original WEBTOON the author was supposedly obsessed with blonde and blue eyed characters so almost all the mains had that. Which I thought was really funny (they didn’t have to do that specifically but they could’ve done something to replace that like they wore a specific color all the time instead or something) and then ripley who’s the side character/transmigrator) is this red head with green eyes who’s supposedly not like overly beautiful or something? But has a higher status ex so that’s the same.) anyway back to this drama.

I’m happy they kept the fact that she doesn’t go after the male lead the same as the webtoon I do believe that they cut that to short, and could’ve prolonged that because a good portion of the webtoon is her doing bonkers things to get him to not want to marry her, and definitely goes to far in one which THAT is missing here which is a turning point in the original material at least that I remember which is a big missed opportunity here the cha sun chaek (I hope I got the name right) actress has the right energy and could’ve definitely pulled it off and would’ve been pretty hilarious (until it isn’t lol). she did a bunch of other scenes that are close to it so why not have that be way more than just small moments of it and perhaps more than just one episode?
I get that the sick scene is perhaps a replacement of that but it’s also just been way too overused, I will say I did enjoy it though besides that fact the actors did really great there.

Despite the bride selection not being in the original I did very much enjoy that because it still shows the fl’s personality in one of the best ways imo she’s the one who’s performance I most enjoyed. I will say that eun ae being in it feels a bit odd to me and feels a bit forced tension between them I think which we don’t need another story where the original female lead isn’t actually as sweet as you think and does toxic stuff behind the new female leads back. Nope they did their relationship in a great way in the webtoon.

A great plot point that’s missing is that ripley feels bad that original female lead doesn’t have the male lead anymore, legit wants to help her find love (since she feels guilty for taking what she thought was hers) and ripley asks what type of guy she likes and her answer is hilarious she’s just like “I like hot men” nothing else in particular like 😂 come on that’s hilarious. So she sets up the sml and her which THATS GREAT FILLER , which is missing from what I can tell it’s just now instead the sml has apparently an oppressive father or something like why it’s not necessary they have different problems in the webtoon if I remember right but mostly a fluff couple.

Next the stuff with the foreigner had me a bit confused I won’t lie, which at first I was like hey cool this is new and might be fun, then it just wasn’t. Instead of what happened in the webtoon (where stuff that originally happens to the female lead then happens to ripley, and she’s shocked of it being her instead) after a certain point she doesn’t even mention/think of the original story I get that it’s supposed to be changing because of what she’s done but not to the point where there isn’t anything at all? (Like for a good portion of the beginning there was more that still happens to her despite the changes she makes but they just happen to her instead which she doesn’t really realize right away In the webtoon.)

Here I believe is another turning point in the original is her being pushed into the water (off of a boat in the middle of the ocean I believe and add way worse than this pond she got pushed in) BUT they kept that scene still which I realized after the fact lol I was like wait a minute I think this is their version of that scene lol and was like hey okay not to bad they did great acting here! (Although the other things there were lacking at least the actors brought here props!)

After this they’re “both” past I like you a lot to I love you stage. (and spicy things happen lol) and then go on a date!
Despite being a bit bored at times i still had enough interest to keep up till episode 8.

Once the long lost brother he has beef with showed up and was like I have a past with the female lead, things being off with the sml and original female lead I was like also why? Then the dad locks her up in the house? Despite the fact the actors making it funny it was mostly just frustrating block/ filler for me and I got 10 mins into episode 8 and I may come back to this show but for now I am done and have dropped it.

For those of you who haven’t read the webtoon you might really enjoy this for what it is, for me it wasn’t just was lacking as its own thing sadly but hey I’m just a rando on the internet I will always still suggest you try it out for yourself! The female lead actress is really good so at least try it out for her!

Too bad the scale is only upto 10, it deserves 20!

My goodness, oh was I underestimating this masterpiece!

To be honest, I was actually scared it won't live up to all the hype it has, and oh boy was I wrong! I hesitated for so long to dive in because when a show gets this much love across the community, you instinctively prepare yourself for disappointment. But from the very start, all my doubts completely melted away. Twinkling Watermelon isn't just good—it is easily one of the best dramas I've ever watched. It lives up to ALL of its hype to the absolute fullest!!

What makes it so special is how effortlessly it blends coming-of-age youth, music, time travel, and deep family connections without ever losing its magic. The story pulls you in immediately, balancing laugh-out-loud comedy with moments that will make you genuinely tear up. The whole vibe of youth, passion, chasing dreams, and forming unforgettable bonds hit me right in the chest. It gives you this incredible warm, nostalgic feeling that stays with you long after an episode ends.

The cast absolutely blew me away with their performances. Ryeoun, Choi Hyun-wook, Seol In-ah, and Shin Eun-soo had the kind of genuine, electric chemistry that you rarely get to see on screen. Their interactions felt so real, their personal struggles so relatable, and their joy so completely contagious. You can tell every actor poured their heart into these characters. On top of that, the soundtrack is insanely good—every single song hits at the exact right moment to give you goosebumps or pull at your heartstrings.

If you are currently sitting on the fence or worried that people are overhyping it, please do yourself a favor and just watch it. It is funny, emotional, beautiful, and an absolute 10/10 masterpiece that I will be rewatching for years to come!

Expecting Something Spectacular, Got Something Spectacularly Awful

I haven't saw the original movie, but so much went wrong in this show. The original premise wasn't something extraordinary, so I was expecting a spectacular execution. This show is about Cheon Yeo Ri, who could see ghosts by accident. She was able to transmit her curse to other people just by touching them, that she had to mostly isolate herself. Yeo Ri helped a lot of ghosts by finding their remains and secretly reporting their cases to the officials. Ma Gang Uk was a prosecutor who occasionally received her reports and resolved the cases.

Park Eun Bin really shined in this show, she really never disappoints. Yang Se Jong also did a good job as Ma Gang Uk the prosecutor, he had a great chemistry with Eun Bin. Even the villains and supporting casts did well. Unfortunately, all these elite casts and performance were all wasted since the script was practically horrible. I felt bad for Ma Gang Uk. He seemed too good to be trapped in all these stupid conspiracies.

This show doesn't seem to have a stance. I think they didn't want to be catagorized as a mystery or law show and would like to put more focus on the romance, but at the end of the day it just fell between two stools. The ghosts cases disappeared at all after a while, and the main story about ML and FL, even with quite good chemistry between them, somehow felt half-baked. These all happened since the writer put so much focus on overly-entagled company succession problem and a 12 years ago murder case. The romance itself felt sidelined, they even added the most ridiculous plot for the noble-idiocy breakup I've ever seen: superstition. After all of the things they got through, the reason why Yeo Ri got cursed was only explained in a brief time and not even clear. I also didn't get it why Kang Min Hwan really wanted to destroy Reina Hotel. When he realized he dropped something at the murder scene, it was astonishing that instead of returning to the crime scene he hired a truck and tried to crash into Ma Gang Uk!! I mean he didn't even know Gang Uk had picked it up??? The product placements in this show were ridiculous.

I would recommend this show to... no one. Yes the first half was quite watchable, but at the end it drained to the toilet. This could be a stain to Park Eun Bin filmography.

I really liked the story, the whole pure cop x hitman thing immediately had me interested, even thought the story was relatively restrained to one location is still worked, liked the redemption arc and how the reunion at the end brought everything back full circle. The story was fast-paced, which actually worked really well here, and there were a lot of twists that kept me fully engaged.

I also really liked the relationship between I Do and Tae Jong. They had that very doomed lovers type of dynamic, and the way they genuinely cared for each other was really touching at times. Overall, it was a story that kept me entertained while still giving a lot of emotional moments, KBL is certainly on an incline and hope to see other series follow suit.
