Sometimes there is more than meets the eye.

This series is difficult and rigorously tragic and despite everything when one believes that things can't go well life gives something to hold on to, a gesture, a moment, a person, a smile, a small glimmer of hope. Emi and Bonnie have such natural chemistry and are able to convey so much from their performance. This story talks about loves that are born, about complex families and unresolved problems and teaches us that it is people, with their actions and their words that mark us and also help us and give us a second chance. The cast is phenomenal, the sets are detailed and the music is perfect!

Everything

I just need everyone to know tarboom are very UNDERRATED, this series was just amazing, very old school, I caught myself laughing so much, definitely comedy. it is not like any other series. They believe in ‘destiny’ . I recommend everyone who hasn’t watched this series to watch it RIGHT NOW. your missing out. I for sure thought they weren’t going to end up together by the end but I was wrong 🫢. I remember strolling on TikTok when I found a slide video talking about underrated series and when I first looked at ‘I will knock you’ I had a feeling I wouldn’t like it but I gave it a chance and I will tell you I’m VERY glad with my choice. I will always talk about this series to everyone. I know this series will top every other series. Super sad they haven’t had another series but if they do I’ll be rooting for them!! :3

breathtaking masterpiece

I am very strict when it comes to raiting, but I can’t even find a single bad thing about this show. The cinematography is breathtaking, the plot is very well thought of, thr music is beautiful and has immaculate vibe that perfectly fits to the show. While watching it I have not felt bored even for a second, even tho the episodes are more than an hour long, and I often get bored while watching 40min ones. The acting is amazing too, the show is at times funny and sad. it is just perfect. This series has amazing production and is visibly done with a lot of thought and care. For sure one of the best shows I have ever watched

BEGGING FOR SEASON 2

Probably one of my absolute favourite series ever! I’m almost obsessed with the couple! The characters are so lovable (minus the antagonists ofc).
I’ve watched it about 3 times now and the quality? stays the same- still as great as the first time- but with me looking for ‘crumbs’ when it comes to the couple’s scenes. The humour, the acting, the wardrobe/outfits, the music… oh my god, I LOVE it.

NEED MORE CBL

I loved this series so much. Obsessed with both the main couple and the secondary couple. I know some people disliked the younger brother- but I found him adorable and super protective of his brother. (Don’t worry, he’s not like the brother from Double Helix). Secondary couple’s chemistry was amazing! At one point I was watching it just for them.

Such a high quality series. I loooved the wardrobes/outfits each character had!

Although it’s not really needed, I’d love a season 2. I hope to see these actors in another BL series sometime.

It's both amazing and confusing mess at the same time

When I started this drama I kinda liked it but as the series progressed the show went bland especially a couple of episodes in the middle were soo boring. After a point I just stopped waiting for the next episode.

I do agree with the comments they should have just removed the whole magical wish part and this would have been an amazing slice of life cz that was pretty messily handled. It started off good with both friends wishing and their wish coming true and both of them kinda paid their price for the wish too. Xiang Yong lost his loved ones and Wan Zi lost his peace. Which 2as plausible cz his wish wasn't as bing as Yong. Everything just starts going downhill after this. Like people lost their memories once and then it happens again🙄 okay u wanna erase HXY but why did Hama chan forget Wan Zi🙄🙄 makes no sense. Also why did Yong trading his life to undo his wish also undo wan zi's wish?

I especially hated how this whole wish mess was just the gods messing with people kinda thing and although they said there were rules i couldn't see any. These 2 kids get to undo their wish while the doc who i feel also repented never got to undo the wish. Also the introduction of the new god in the end felt absolutely unnecessary to me. Also everyone's memories being distorted differently in the end was also kinda uncomfortable for me. Instead if they either just removed the whole magic thing or just let him experience a world where their wish came true and then they came back to where they started. That would have been much much better.

The 1st couple have an amazing backstory but then their current timeline's story was barely interesting on the other hand i absolutely loved the 2nd couple A LOT. They did a good job. For a 1 time watch this drama is good but it might be hard to finish it.

We all hope to be seen, we all deserve to be loved.

This series teaches that everyone deserves to be loved, that there are different types of families, bonds, relationships and that the ones worth fighting for are the genuine ones, those that are born from love, trust, friendship, solidarity. Through the characters we understand that there is only one life and there are essential values that bind us, that take us back to the same people or push us to search for new people, new bonds that are worth fighting for, living for, surviving and giving ourselves a second chance.
The music, sets and actors perfectly convey nostalgia, pain, social pressure and the joy of discovering love.

Simply Beautiful

"Dazzling" is the perfect comfort drama—warm, relaxing, uplifting, and full of heart. It is the kind of show that instantly puts you in a good mood and makes you feel at ease.
What I love most is how naturally everything flows between the main leads. Their relationship feels authentic and grounded in reality, without unnecessary drama or exaggerated situations. The chemistry between them is sweet and believable.
The female lead is smart, lovable, and refreshingly down-to-earth. The actress portrays her beautifully, making her easy to root for. I especially appreciate that she is not written as arrogant, spoiled, or overly childish, which is a trope often seen in many dramas.
The male lead is also a breath of fresh air. He is mature, dependable, and determined to build a good future for himself. He is a pillar of strength for his family and fiercely protective of the people he loves, especially the girl he cares about.
I also adore the supporting characters. The friends, the male lead's mother, and his grandmother all add warmth and charm to the story. They feel like real people rather than just background characters.
And the seaside setting is absolutely beautiful. The warm sunlight, the coastal views, and the bright atmosphere give the drama a comforting and peaceful feeling that perfectly matches the story.
Overall, Dazzling is a beautiful slice-of-life drama with lovable characters, natural storytelling, and a heartwarming atmosphere. It is one of those rare shows that makes you smile, relax, and eagerly wait for the next episode. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am officially obsessed with Yin Qi and Pei Yanzhi

This popped up in my insta reels and I went to check it out bcs I haven't seen cBLs in a while and I kid you not, I'm obsessed with them.
I mean, The trope "Going three years back to rewrite the future" is sort off a hit or miss but they nailed it (imo). And I love the chemistry between Qi and Yanzhi, And the second lead Yin Zhuo and Ziming is awesome too.
The acting is done beautifully and not stiff compared to usual historical chinese dramas, and it gets me kinda hooked yk?
But overall a 9 because it's to short lol.

Sensitive moving depiction of young man's struggle for self acceptance and from those around him。

この繊細な映画に深く感動したよう。若い男性が自身のセクシュアリティを受け入れ、「これが僕だ」と周囲の人々に勇敢に告げるまでの葛藤が、リアルに描かれていた💖🌈
very sensitive movie does not suggest any easy answers or easy acceptance。 you must accept yourself first then if others do not accept you move on from them。 this is real。
maybe others will look at life differently themselves if they have open minds。
this movie was made in 2014 so time has moved on and there is some improvement but、 it is still quite difficult in Japan and most other Asian countries compared with Western countries or Taiwan if you are LGBTQ living outside of big cities and suffer prejudice or fear but maybe this is same everywhere with people of closed minds。
I must add for me it has always seemed ironic homophobia only emerged in Japan and China with Western intrusion and imposing foreign ideas of morality after 1850s。before then homosexuality was accepted for two thousand years as normal part of life。

ITS THE PERFECT SHOW. I've watched so many kdramas. after the glory i have'nt watched many good ones. Bloodhounds was really good too. this one is ICONIC

BRING BACK PLOTS LIKE THESEEEEEE......................................................................................................

Teach You a Lesson is easily one of the best K-dramas I've watched. The story is gripping from start to finish, with powerful performances, intense action scenes, and emotional moments that keep you invested in every episode. The characters feel real and well-developed, and the series tackles important issues while still being highly entertaining. Every episode left me wanting more, making it a drama that's hard to stop watching. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling and memorable K-drama experience.

A review I always wanted to give…

I knew about this show for years since its actual launch but because of the age gap between the two MCs, I didn’t really give it a go. But then 2023 came when the Lee Sun Kyun controversy was ongoing and I realized that I needed to watch this show. And what a show and journey this was. This show means so much to me, the feelings, the emotions and the story it is so remarkable. I can’t tell you the number of times I have binged this story. I know for many people this story might seem sad, but for me it’s a story of hope and to keep moving forward. Each and every actor in this story was amazing. IU was so amazing and of course the Lee Sun Kyun and his great acting - you could see why Ji-eun found so much comfort in him and his voice. I want to say so much but I am also at a loss for words. I wish everyone to watch this show at least once because it is so stunning. What saddens me is that the same year I watched this show, we lost Lee Sun Kyun too. When I watch the show I always think about him and I hope he rests in peace.

A Journey Through the Life and Legend of Miyamoto Musashi

This is the drama that inspired me to choose Miyamoto Musashi’s Niten Ichi-ryu as my koryu kenjutsu tradition. One of the series’ greatest strengths is its depiction of many authentic techniques and concepts associated with Niten Ichi-ryu. Based on the famous novel by Eiji Yoshikawa, the story follows Musashi’s life from his youth on the battlefield of the Battle of Sekigahara to the events surrounding the Siege of Osaka Castle.

The drama also deeply explores Musashi’s childhood and emotional foundations. It portrays his harsh upbringing under his father, Shinmen Munisai, whose strict and often violent nature shaped Musashi into a restless and aggressive youth. At the same time, Musashi’s family background is marked by separation and spiritual distance—his mother is shown living as a Buddhist monk, while his sister also lives a monastic life. This emotional fragmentation contributes to Musashi’s early sense of isolation and his eventual path as a wandering swordsman.

A central emotional thread of the story is Musashi’s relationship with his childhood friends, Matahachi and Otsu. Honiden Matahachi, his best friend who was originally engaged to Otsu, becomes a tragic and often comic figure in the narrative. When Musashi returns to his village and sets out on his warrior pilgrimage, the lives of the three become permanently intertwined and torn apart. Otsu, deeply devoted and emotionally persistent, sacrifices much of her life in her long and often painful search for Musashi, representing loyalty, love and endurance in contrast to the violent world of samurai ambition.

Meanwhile, Matahachi’s descent serves as a cautionary parallel story—his pursuit of pleasure and avoidance of responsibility gradually turns him into a figure of ridicule and misfortune, highlighting the consequences of abandoning discipline and honor. In contrast, Musashi’s relentless training and dueling bring him increasing fame and recognition as he defeats opponent after opponent on his path to mastery.

The story also features important supporting characters such as Oko and her daughter Akemi, whose complicated relationship with Matahachi and the Yoshiokas added further emotional and moral complexity to the narrative. Their involvement highlights themes of survival, desire, and manipulation within a chaotic post-war society.

On the antagonistic side, one of the most persistent and emotionally charged forces in Musashi’s journey is Matahachi’s mother, Osugi, whose obsession with family honor and vengeance drives much of the early conflict and tension. Her relentless pursuit of Musashi and refusal to accept reality make her a powerful and tragic antagonist within the story.

A major spiritual influence throughout Musashi’s development is the Buddhist monk Takuan Soho, who serves as a guiding figure in shaping Musashi’s inner discipline and philosophical outlook. His teachings push Musashi beyond mere physical mastery, toward a deeper understanding of mind, perception, and detachment—key elements that define his evolution as both swordsman and thinker.

Along the way, he faces many legendary opponents, including the Yoshioka brothers and their disciples, speared-wielding monk Hozoin Inshun, chain and sickle (kusarigama) wielding warrior Shishido Baiken, and his famous rival Sasaki Kojiro. The series also depicts his encounters with Yagyu Sekishusai, whose teachings help shape Musashi's philosophy of martial arts and self-improvement.

As Musashi’s journey progresses, his ultimate martial and philosophical challenges culminate in his confrontations with Yagyu Munenori, who represents the highest level of political and martial refinement. In the drama, Munenori is portrayed not merely as a master swordsman, but as a key political and philosophical figure of the Tokugawa era, serving the interests of the Tokugawa shogunate. His ideology emphasizes maintaining peace and order above individual morality in combat, often summarized as a pragmatic “the ends justify the means” approach—where decisive action, even ruthless when necessary, is justified if it secures stability for the state. These encounters push Musashi beyond mere physical combat into deeper questions of strategy, control, and spiritual balance.

Beyond the duels, the drama explores Musashi's personal growth as an artist, philosopher, and seeker of enlightenment, showing his development in sumi-e painting, farming and his gradual withdrawal from worldly life. His journey ultimately concludes in Reigando Cave, where he completes the Go Rin No Sho or The Book of Five Rings and passes on his teachings before his death.

Overall, the series stands as a powerful and emotionally layered interpretation of Musashi’s life—blending action, tragedy, philosophy, and human relationships into a deeply compelling historical drama.

A solid story

I went into this show blindly, not knowing what to expect but only relying on the reviews here. I was absolutely blown away, and this has really made respect Seo In-guk and look forward to watching his future shows. The emotions and the thought process of this drama has been so impactful. I also loved the stellar cast which I didn’t know were in this show. Phenomenal watch - I will definitely watch this beautiful show again.
