I have never been excited in my kdrama watching the way I had with K2! This drama has great potential and started with an awesome non-stop-action-packed-adrenaline-rush scenes that makes you wonder you are watching a hollywood action movie! But towards the middle when the romance has started and the loose writing is already noticeable, my interest and excitement meter also started to fall down! But it did not stop me from watching further --- only because of my being a huge fan of JIChangWook! Coupled with that , I had decided to lower my expectations so as not to be frustrated further in the end. To my surprised, the ending is not that bad and the writernim has just penned one of the most redeeming and heroic ending scene in kdramaland.

Story 8/10

What i like?
- The redeeming heroic and sacrificial scenes of Yoojin and Assembyman Jang! This actually wrapped up neatly the somehow loose story of K2.
- the non-stop-adrenaline-rush action scenes especially of JCW!

What I do not like?
- the loose writing, I am actually waiting on the "revenge" plot of Jeha but to my surprised that becames so lame! I dont even know what is Jeha upto? The story turned out to be a bodyguard protecting a damsel in distress plot which is far from its iniital premises!
- writernim introducing various and new plots almost every episodes that makes it more obvious that there is no solid plot line!
- rushed, overly acted, cheesy romance (although I know romance is needed, but I hope they did not spend so much time sacrificing the most important character dvelopment and story plot)

Acting/Cast 9/10

What I like?
- JCW as Jeha as I have said JCW just breathe in a new life to the awesome and beautiful character of Jeha. His looks aura and charisma just add up to the total Jeha character! His acting as a soldier, mercenary, a laborer, a bodyguard are just beautifully executed and acted! Jeha is JCW and JCW is Jeha! He owns the character! Although, at some point the character may seems flat, but I guess it is not JCW's fault, it is more of the writing. I must say the character was underdeveloped until the drama ends! Just the same, because of JCW's acting prowess, he just perfectly executed enough to satisfy us until the finale.
- SYA as Yoojin, the QUEEN OF DRAMA! She is the ultimate heroine/villainess rolled in one! She is brilliant, smart and intelligent! As Yoojin, she is evil but also a victim! She can make everyone her pawn. She can kill a person just by lifting her fingers. But she never felt loved eversince even by her father! Yes, people around her are loyal to her but only to a certain extent! She is a person in need of love and affection! But she also need to be punished for her wrong doings which are a lot. The writer neatly give the punishmen she deserves at the end which is satisfying, redeeming and heroic!

Others support also did their job well! All the actors and characters lived up to the expectations in terms of acting.

Music ( 8/10) - the OST's are just adequate to make the emotions more moving. I dont like though the chanting background music.

Rewatch Value (7/10) - if there are scenes I would like to rewatch it would all be the scenes with SYA and JCW! Man, they are explosive, romantic or not, they are just palpable!

Overall, even if this show has numerous flaws, I would still want to recommend this to fans who loves action and JCW!!!

I will admit going into this I did not know what I was getting into, if it was anything like Lovers In Paris I was in for a ride.

Story: This is the third in the Lovers trilogy, which I have not seen the second one (Lovers in Prague) but I've seen Lovers in Paris. I did loved the gangster aspect of this drama (though I admit I'm a fan of the Mafia). This drama is not about just balancing love and being a part of family that apart of the mob and being accepted by that family, it more than that. The story I give a 9.5.

Acting/Cast: I start out with Kim Jung Eun with the cast. It was nice that they got her for the third one in this trilogy as well, she was in the first one Lovers In Paris, and she was great in this as well. Lee Seo Jin was great as Ha Kang Jae. To be the type of role he was given he did his job well done. Jung Chan and Kim Gyu Ri as Sae Yeon and Yu Jin they did they roles perfectly too. The acting I give an 8.

Music: When you hear the instrumental of the OST, and you love it I think that proclaims a statement. the OST for this is not a 10 for me but it got to me when I heard that Instrumental version in it. The music I give a 9.5.

Rewatch/Overall: Overall I give Lovers a 8.5 it is not perfect at all which is why I give it a 8.5. The rewatch value I give a 6, I do not think this will be high on my list to rewatch.

Just such a funny show. I was hooked from the beginning coz pyo na ri is usually one of my favorite actors. Its grown up show with grown up problems including dating two guys at the same time. Not a common thing in kdramas so this was interesting and the fact that they shared the same room as throuples eats the cake. I found myself wanting her to have both of them and stay like that but that show hasnt been made yet. Anyways its got lots of funny scenes with the two mums and the assexual guy (another grown up problem). Since i watched it weekly i forget what happened in the beginning parts but it was good enough to keep me hooked. Great stuff

This drama was steeped in implausibility, ridiculous writing and plotholes. On the surface, it looks and feels exciting. There is action, romance, politics and betrayal. However, from the first episode, you are treated to nothing but an empty shell of a story, with subpar writing and the use of over the top action scenes to make up for the lack of character development and shallow plot.

The very first episode is at best, laughable, but at worst, unbelievably arrogant of the writers. We are supposed to buy that rich Korean conglomerates have that much influence and power outside of their country, in other continents and can even order around the Catholic Church and a police force in a European country?! Even Samsung doesn't have that much power! :p I was ROFL! However, I was mildly disturbed as I got to thinking. Does the average Korean who has never travelled outside of Korea really believe stuff like that? Something to ponder.

The rest of the drama doesn't get much better. It is from the same writers of Yong Pal, so even though not the train wreck that drama was, it is obvious that they were both born from the same simple and way too overconfident minds. As the story progresses, you can quickly discern the unbalanced character development. Our hero, Je Ha, should be a character with much depth and personality. Unfortunately, the writers apparently did not create him for that purpose at all. The character's sole purpose was to beat people up and to have a little love story with the main female. Poor Ji Chang Wook was totally wasted here. The whole first half of the drama, he barely has any dialogue. All he does is kick ass, kick some more ass, bleed and show his abs. The main female Anna is written so typically that she could have been plucked from any cliched K drama and just inserted into this one. She is sweet, innocent and always in distress. In fact, out of all the characters in this drama, only two show any interesting personalities, depth and growth. Those are Choi Yoo Jin and her brother. Those two characters were the only highly developed ones and I was mesmorized by both whenever they were on the screen. How much better would this drama had been had it focused solely on the schemes and manipulations of those two, instead of adding all that other crap to the mix. >_< Instead, the ending result was nothing but a big mess with an ending left with many loose ends and unexplained things.

I can't recommend this drama to anyone. Well, I take that back. I do recommend episode four. Episode four alone, though. Teehee.

This drama had such potential and the plot was great until half way through, the plot twists come and the story unfolds. The twists were crazier than those in kdramas. I was so shocked and taken aback. It was a really disappointing and shocking plot twist honestly If you watch this drama, just remember that probably nothing will go your way... I loved some of the supporting characters but otherwise, this drama went downhill in the second half :( The acting was alright, Sisley's acting was considerably better here so it wasn't too cringe-worthy.

I loved it until they starTed doing my girl Choi Yoo Jin wrong but aside from my biased misgivings about this drama it was really good.

Plot: a runaway mercenary' a girl whos mother was murdered and has been held captive since a young age' the girls father running for president and his wife the cold hearted master mind. Mercenary caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and is then later teams up with the wife to take down a common enemy. Buy then yhe Mercenary and girl fall in love with each other and desiderate to join efforts to take down the wife. Story of mistrust' betrayal ' cunning schemes paired with awesome fight scenes and heartfelt relationships. Not to mention a good bit a comic relief.

Apparently the story was changed since the audience wasn't having the desired response to the characters (no sure how true this is but I do see it being very possible)

The ending was very bittersweet for me and I am happy about maybe 75 percent of what happened in the last two episodes but I'm biased to my fave character Yoo Jin.

This show was not too bad. Not the best drama I've seen but I liked the premise of it. The lesson learned in this movie is a worthwhile one plus it is funny. I would recommend it for someone who might have a little time on their hand and doesn't have high expectations. Go into with that kind of understanding and you will enjoy this movie.

I really enjoyed watching this korean drama. The story is so thrilling setting in the Goryeo Era. The plot is about love, hate, brotherhood, friendship and palace intrigue. The actors and actresses are very good except for some of them (suppoting role). They don't express in the best way their characters because I think they lack experience in acting. The cinematography and the editing of this drama are astonishing, cured in details. The soundtrack is well done: I really like the songs. They are so catchy, I can't get it out of my head.
In my opinion Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is one of the best korean drama of 2016 I've watched so far, so I heartily recommend this costume drama, if you like the genre.

I apologise for this review: it's my first one. I am not used to write, especially in english. So I hope this review can be of some help. Thank you e bye bye :D

Okay I think I'm being biased with my ratings but seriously this drama is waaay beyond amazing and deserves more than 10/10.

This drama is a complete story of friendship, family, and romance. It will make you laugh and cry and give you butterflies in your stomach and laugh and cry again but you will never regret it watching it over and over again.

As someone who grew up with technology, this drama made me realize and see that there is more to life than the internet and social media. This drama particularly shows the value of family and friendship without being boring. Every episode and every scene are very anticipating. It helps you cope up with life and assures you that it is okay to be selfish at times and feel hurt and always reminds you that what other people say about you, your family, and your friends, doesn't matter.

I loveee this drama sooo much. Astounding casts, superb acting, splendid staffs, excellent production. Highly recommended. Must watch.

One of the best Kdramas ever. Amazing casts! They just look so perfect together! Their characters were amazing! I especially loved the girl main lead's character. She was just so hilarious! The movie was overall fun and cheesy. Enjoyed watching the whole series. Plot was really good. Exceeded my expectations! A must-watch, for sure!

So this drama does have quite a number of points going for it. The way everything it spun really keeps you on your toes most of the time. They do a great job at making you doubt every character, without it being forceful, and minimal use of red herring. I think that was impressive. So impressive that it worked against it when it came to the ending and big reveal. The big reveal felt too underwhelming, and especially too cheesy.

To get it out of the way, the overall music was used appropriately, nothing to memorable, but I couldn't stand the main theme song. Or more like I couldn't stand it's beginning, it kinda destroys any climate built up until then.

One of my main issues in the drama is the character *Todo Shinichi*. I understand him being naive and trusting in the beginning. However, despite all that happens, and despite being a so called genius and elite, he never puts 2 & 2 together. At one point I just couldn't understand why he aimed at doing what he was doing. I thought he might've had some plan, but no, his motive were just too contradicting. Hence no real development happens to his character.

It's the same in the drama with some character that never develop, yet we get forced emotions down our throat when we couldn't care less, while others felt so genuine, their motives clear enough, and the psych make sense. It's a complete mix. I find the story of Todo's friends from University well developed, while the new friends he makes in during the drama just didn't make sense to me at all. Characters like the mom and Osanai were intriguing, but Sanae was completely underused. The detectives (public safety) were pretty constant, but the lawyer was completely puzzling. I still enjoyed his character, but he could've been used much more effectively.

Of course when talking about characters, we need to mention the acting. I think Eiji's character would've been much more engaging if played by a more capable actor. Satoshi Jinbo and Shingo Tsurumi, playing detective and lawyer, respectively, became interesting to have on screen thanks to their performance, but Hinako Sakurai and Jun Shison felt like filling space. Mantaro Koichi was entertaining enough but I never understood the point of his character. Mimura, just by looking at her face and expressions, you could understand her thoughts and intentions. Though most intriguing of all was Tamayama Tetsuji. He's so great at being shady, but he also knows how to make you forget his shadiness. Tatsuya Fujiwara had some annoying overacting moments, but overall he was fine.

As a result I feel the characters weren't well thought out, so it depended entirely on the actors who play them. I think if Eiji was played by an actor like Kamiki, we would've had a totally different drama.

Anyways, if you ask me whether it's worth the watch, I'd say still totally worth it. I'd recommend it (reluctantly maybe... well first go watch Boku no Yabai Tsuma :P). Still I can't gloss over its flaws and give it a higher rating.

This drama was really good from the start but I felt like it has been dragged to extend the drama due to high ratings. I understand that not everyone will agree with me but it's just how I feel. Neverthelesa, I love this drama. Overflowing with romance, action, and medical scenes! Amazing casts! Superb acting! Story was amazingly fun, cute, heart-jittering, but again, I feel like the few ending episodes have been dragged or maybe I just wasn't satisfied enough because the plot of the first half was incredibly amazing. Overall, a must watch! Like seriously, action + medical, that's more than reason to watch this! Plus SJK and SHK? I don't need to say anything. I'm done. They're amazing! All of the casts were amazing! The staffs were marvelous! The production was phenomenal!

Okay. So I didn't make 10/10 (although it really does deserve it!) because I feel like the story is somehow cliche (okay not really). I mean traveling from the future to the past, come on. But seriously, I didn't expect this drama to be sooo good. Like sooooo good! This is the first ever korean historical drama that I have ever finished (I know I know there are a lot of good ones out there but I just can't seem to finish any) and probably the reason I will start watching historical dramas!

The cast was perfect!! I don't even know where to start! Everyone was soo good! They delivered their characters perfectly! Not to mention the visuals!! Such handsome and beautiful casts! Acting was superb! Broke my heart a thousand! Just perfect!

A feel good and fun watch
Although a few episodes longer than the usual Kdrama format, never a dull moment.
Even though I don't like indescisive people, I found here the love triangle is handled very well.
It was a pleasant change that they took the serious elements and portrayed them in a positive and light way rather than turning a light fun watch into a melodrama.
I have to say I liked the second lead a lot, still I loved the spoilt brat of a hero, he portrays his character so well.
I have always liked this actress, and have seen nearly all her drama, here too she does a good job. The other thing is the skinship, done so naturally with someone you love.
No evil moms, no vamps creating misunderstandings, no annoying or heart burning moments.
It would have been better if all the side stories had been wrapped up well, the kids romance, the ajummas and the chef, but they were not given enough time to evolve and complete.
The main story was very well done.
overall a pleasant and enjoyable watch. Time well spent.
