I read somewhere that this was set in an American School in Tokyo and that sounded interesting to me, so I gave it a shot. I love cross-cultural stuff plus an amnesiac teenager sounded fun. I liked the story a lot. It was cute in spite of being predictable. I haven't read the book or anything but for a teenage movie it was quite good.

The characters were interesting and I liked who Naomi ended up with. I saw that coming from the very beginning. Okay, somewhat irrelevant but I was liking Maki's longer hair till she cut it off and went back to her own short hair. LOL. I thought she looked cuter with longer locks.

I was excited when I saw Emma Roberts in it. I thought she should have been given a bigger role (yeah, I remember this is a Japanese movie). The English being spoken was awkward and funny. The narration of the whole story is a fun ride.

I loved the soundtrack of this movie. It has some great tracks which doesn't let you get bored. The film got dragged in some parts, but the cinematography was pretty decent.

Overall it is a likable movie. I was worried about tragedy occuring because we have a 'dark' character in it but it was happy all the way. I liked the end, by the way.

I wanted to make a review for this drama because it's my very favorite (that's why I gave it extra good marks :D)
It was actually one of my first dramas, but believe me, it made me stay up ALL NIGHT and it was the only thing I could think about when I was not on computer ^^
The story may be a bit long, but I thought it was very realistic, and the characters are really cute. I totally fell for Da Ren, he's my favorite male character in a drama forever !!
In my opinion, the music is also really important, and I wasn't disappointed here. The ost is really beautiful and Da Ren's song is amazing : even now that I finished it a year ago or something, it still makes me cry when I hear it !
Now the actors are also really good, and so cute together. (and Ariel Lin is different from in other dramas, so give it a try :) )
Now I hope you understant something in my review (and I don't know why I had to re-publish the end like five times)
So I hope you'll like it as much as I did !

All of the reviewers were right. This show really is that good.

Story: Awesome. One or two heart wrenching relationships mixed in with a ton of funny characters. Like most Kdramas the story is earnest but here it manages to also be quite cool. My only criticism is that its' a tad disjointed at times. And a few of the flashbacks and time-jumps didn't make total sense.

Acting: THE BEST ACTING I'VE SEEN IN A KDRAMA. FULL STOP. PERIOD.
Seriously, the two mains in this are just so damn good. Their facials, their delivery, their chemistry. Everything was just perfect. All of the supporting cast were great as well. Shi Woon's parents were so damn funny.

Music: A great showcase of western and Korean music. This is probably the first show where I've gone out of my way to get the OST. There are just so many great tunes, and it all fits in so well with the mood.

Rewatch Value: This feels like The Wire of Kdrama for me. I just know that I'll be pulling it out every year to spend more time with all the funny and loveable characters.

Answer Me 1997 is a fabulous must watch show.

My Unnie suggested this drama. I thanked her several times while watching. This is one of the best melodrama's I have ever watched. NO1 in this drama is perfect or very forgiving. I was enthralled the whole time. Even though I was able to guess what was coming next they did it in such a way that it made me happy. I love the ending & everything that lead up to it. It made me feel good that ppl in the drama got exactly what they deserved. I loved the acting even though the music was too much & tried to make thing seem more dramatic than was necessary, b/c the expressions on the actors faces were amazing enough. Watch this drama I don't think any1 would regret it.

Wow, what a ride. To all of those who are turned off by the length of this show: don't be. The show starts to fly by once you get into it. And I would have hated it if this show was any shorter. Smile You's length allowed for the writes to really showcase all of the characters and the actors playing them. Every single family member has a voice and a substantial plotline. And all of these threads come together in a really effective, and frankly heartwarming way.

If you're looking for a funny and dramatic family story with great acting, snappy dialogue, and terrific pacing then this is the show for you.

I just finished watching this drama. At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it since the first few episodes didn't really seem to hook me in. However, I kept watching and it did pick up, especially in the later episodes. The only complaint I have with it is that the storyline isn't original at all. I know it was based on a Japanese show, which itself was based on a manga, but I haven't seen or read those versions. To me, there was A LOT of recycled plot points from You're Beautiful. In fact, I noticed quite a few lines you could compare word for word with YB. I am not sure if You're Beautiful was based on the original version of this or not, but I haven't heard of anything like that. I know the plots are extremely similar anyway, but still feel this one could have come across as more original had it not copied so much from You're Beautiful.

All in all, though, it wasn't bad. It was cute and funny, but I just can't help but compare it to You're Beautiful, and in so doing, it just ends up as lacking.

So I guess that I really did think of this as a sequel of full house 1. Thats why I didn't want to watch it in the first place. I didn't like full house. It made no sense. Right when I started watching full hosue take 2 I relized that it has almost nothing to do with the first one. Maybe the whole idea of the named house but thats it.
There are some rascism in this but I look past that since they are trying to be funny. I didn't find it to be all that funny but I get what they were going for.
The acting was amazing. There are points in the show where I didn't want that certain charectar to be in the show but after a episode or two it got better.
Don't think of it as a sequel to full house. I mean its nothing like it and a totally different story. Like this has to do about the whole music industry and what can go wrong. Whereas full house goes with a contract.
The story is unique. I would think that you should give this a try. I can see where a lot of people wouldn't want to because of the whole misunderstandings but if you pay close attention you can see why they did certain things.

Let's face the fact: I've started watching "Bad Guy" solely for Kim Jae Wook. Khire, I am shameless Jae Wook Fan!

When I first saw the male lead, Hmmm, well I never liked 'here but barely there' mustache, but he seemed to pull it of. The story, I can't say it's unique but it has enough juice to grab hold of you. I was really scared when the story moved to Japan because whenever a Kdrama is shot overseas, it's plain horrible - be it awful foreign cast, extras, never mind the accent. But the part in Japan was flawless, and I knew I wasn't watching it for KJW any more.

The casting was spot on, everyone fit their role and I met my first Korean girl crush - Han Ga In! The story, ah well, I liked it, there was some plot holes here and there but I loved the way it ended.

KJW, you are awesome! Please forgive me for chanting "Kim Nam Gil,Kim Nam Gil" at some points!

I decided watching this movie because of Lee Min Ki and Shin Min Ah...they were the only ones I knew from the cast list.I wasn't expecting much.

The STORY isn't something new...some unbeliveble survival contest with 8 people who love money or need it desperately.I really didn't think much of it...just a movie so I an make time move faster.
This is were The CAST enters. The acting was great in my opinion.Park Hee Soon was amazing....he made me tremble for 55 minutes. The actors did a great thing in entering their characters feelings and emotions and I was really caught in Lee Min Ki and Jung Yu Mi relethionship. It was so twisted and heartbreaking...once again you discover how important your own life is.
The MUSIC was nothing special...I barely remember it...but this kind of film doesn't need movie because the scenes are strange and complicated enough. So I really didn't need any kind of music to enjoy it.
I would totally REWATCH this movie! It was so interesting and emotional that I'm sure I won't get bored from it.

This movie tells a story that uncoveres the fact that anyone, I mean ANYONE, can turn crazy because of things that happened in his life.
I can't say that this is one of my favorite movies but I can assure you that is worth watching...if you want something phisological and action packed.

First of all: You're Beautiful is no Drama to me. To me it's a collection of feelings: Cuteness, Sadness, Happyness, Disappointment, Love, Dramatic-all this feelings take place in this drama. The story is original-I think. It's not the typical Tomboy story.

I love love love the Cast! Jang Geuk Suk- so cool :) Jung Yong Hwa-my favourite and Lee Hong Ki-sooo cute ^_^. They're all sooo handsome *-* Park Shin Hye gives the role of Go Mi Nam such cuteness, that you just can smile all the time :D.

The Music is very important in this. You feel so much emotions when they sing, because you know the story behind the songs. Of course I gave this a 10 because I love every OST of You're beautiful.

I looove this Drama so much that I can call it Masterpiece. It will always be my favourite.
When you like... Korean Dramas you will love this one .
Out of my sight it's a must-watch *-*

The story for this movie is pretty simple-- girl gets a chance to go back to her teen years and try and fix some things she has always regretted. Going into the movie I thought it was a bit risky in terms of why -- what would she learn from this, why is she deserving of such a chance, how will it benefit her future self, etc. -- but I really appreciate the ending message of this movie. It reminds me of a song I really love (though I can't remember the title) -- "if you want to be someone else, change your mind". The main character spends a lot of time trying to rearrange past events of her life in hopes to avoid future disappointments, but she ends up realizing that the best way to carry forward is to accept past regrets and not let them hold you back or feel badly about yourself. This message resonates really well with me (and I'm sure everyone) because while most people don't get a chance to try and change their past, everyone has likely done something they wish they could undo-- but like this movie says, all you can ever really do is learn from your mistakes and then move on, leaving them behind you.

Acting and music were both fine. I appreciated how similar the younger and older version of them main character --they did a good job making me believe they were just different versions of the same person.

I don't rewatch often so I doubt I'll rewatch it, but it was enjoyable enough that someone might want to. Really the take-home part of this story was the sweetness of the relationship between the main character and her younger self, along with the universal message of living for the future. Those alone make it work the watch.

Well this drama is forgetable. The only reason 2 finish this drama is 2 watch JJ. At 1st the story was good & mixed w/ all the medical stuff it kept me interested. Then they started 2 explain y Dr Jin was there. They made it 2 complicated. Even ppl that r interested in the whole time travel & infinate universes wouldn't rly understand what went on (ok maybe they would, but it still didn't flow)! Overall it was a big let down. I had such hopes & they were slaughtered by the flick of the screen writters pen! Oh well! On the bright side I got 2 look @ some serial eye-candy (totally talking about JJ)! Only reason 2 watch is JJ! The rest is just blah.

I remember being excited about this drama because I really loved the manga it's based off. Unfortunately, this drama just didn't do it for me.

The first few episodes were good. The actress who plays Miku is really cute! Miku and Hayato were my favourite characters...and I wanted them to end up together because I felt like Hayato deserved a happy ending. I couldn't really sense any chemistry between Souhei and Miyuki or between Souhei and Miku...

I wish the drama had stuck to the original story - there was more depth to the side characters Takki and Kiyoka - they actually have background stories and plot! But none of that was shown here. I actually like the character development shown by both Miyuki and Miku in the manga, but, again, this wasn't really shown in the drama.

It was a real struggle to get through the rest of the drama because I kept comparing it to what the story could've been and found the plot and characters utterly lacking. I'm really disappointed in this drama. :(
