Different Intimacy, Not for those Who follow social norm Romance

This Series has 2 impressions, If you read both one after another then you will know what really happening in this Drama series otherwise you will miss out on a lot.

First impression: Directors/producers should have checked the competitors before choosing the main characters. The main characters acting was OK but they were not meant for this series. Kim was cry baby and Kamol was a stiff face. other side characters were forgetful. All casts were not selected carefully. This is not an acting issue. It is a scriptwriter, producer, and directing issue.
This was my first impression of this drama after watching the first 2 episodes.

Second impression: This drama is for those who want to see 'not out of culture norms' romance/intimacy between main characters. The chemistry starts building between the main characters after episode 3. Kamol's character was sure what he wanted and Kim from the start wasn't sure about his feelings Kim's character realized it in the last 3 episodes. After episode number 3 all actors seemed more relaxed, in character and this made the character more alive. The intimacy part of this drama might not be acceptable for everyone even for those who accept the BL series because it is still against cultural norms and not that common. But this drama writer showed a different side of partner intimacy to society, like spreading light on what was hidden in society and we avoid talking about it.
Main side characters: 'Baiboon', This character was there to play the role of their baby and supporting character role 'KOM'. Kom's character had few more expressions and more time on screen due to 'Baiboon'. 'Cherry' character was only present for advertisements (vitamin advertisements). Maybe investors were really happy with this character. Kit, Lop, and Ruj's characters were like we had enough of dog food (seeing lovers together and doing this this this, just let's be together all together). Danai's character had only one motive 'to die'.
All together story is engaging with all characters' support. The acting of all the actors was better after 3rd episode. This drama series has different tastes. watch it with an open mind. Don't just focus on couple romance. enjoy character development and Art.

A very good Xianxia with a Ding Yu Xi in one of his best roles

A wuxia series for which I had a lot of trouble immersing myself into because of the resolutely Comedic tone of the 1st episodes and because I don't like the FL at all (nor the actress with her frozen doll face + her mouth, without expression, nor the character)...

PLOT:
A little immortal from the Marriage Pavilion is accidentally drawn into a series of 7 love tribulations (in the mortal realm) with the God of War who wants to restore his spiritual Energy, damaged in the past. During these tribulations, they will encounter love rivals, villains, demons thirsting for vengeance, many plots, etc.

Despite my initial reluctance, I let myself get caught up in the plot during the 2nd tribulation (from episodes 8-9?).
+ Story very well written, intelligent, with clues scattered little by little and excellent actors (Ding Yu Xi is, as always, remarkable as ML).
+ Lots of excellent actors who bring their characters to life (well developed).
+ I like the way the director represented the celestial kingdom, very aestheticly pleasing, with great CGI. The production is dynamic, without length, and keeps the viewer in suspense.
+ the OSTs are well suited, without being memorable, but they accompany the action well.

BUT
- Some characters (such as the eldest Red Thread from Marriage Pavilion, in particular) are caricatures. They're probably there to add a touch of humor, but it doesn't work, they're just annoying!

=> A very good Xianxia, of quality, which maintains the suspense well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep Lesson In This

First, The story and the script/dialogues are the main reasons I continue watching this.
2nd: The drama set was shot on limited ground with limited people. it was also OK for me. for me who likes minimalist style. The drama set and limited actors were comfortable to the eye and I was focusing on the story more.
3rd: Actor: Pond Ponlawit Ketprapakorn needs to work on his acting more but the story was interesting to me so the acting was also ok.

The story showed the real truth of our society. This kind of toxic parent behavior is common in every culture. Parents forget they are also human and their decision can be wrong. Children are also human, parents should present the reasons in front of them and work on common ground to find a solution.
Society made a norm: school > college/university > work > married > children > die. if we all try to go against this norm. it becomes a 'problem'.
Some children sacrifice their happiness for their parent's temporary satisfaction and endure the pain and hurt. which became the trauma of a lifetime. some fight back, follow their heart, and become taboo of their society and an ungrateful beings.

our society needs this kind of story to know the other face of our society not everything is a rainbow in real life.

Win and Team Performed Well

The drama story was catchy, the same old university setting. There were lots of supporting characters. All the characters were beautiful and handsome (if you want to watch handsome men and their handsome bodies, this series is for you) it was sometimes annoying because I watched the drama as Art (I watch everything from production, acting, editing, song, story and everything as Art). Handsome characters were distracting and kept me not focusing on the story. maybe which was what the director was looking for.
The Drama has everything a typical Thai university has but more scenes were based on the swimming club, dorm rooms, and Bar. All the friends get to gather and friends fun. With all of this fun, you will be totally about the story. The story wasn't much though. "Just spending life in university and finding love".
There were forced edit scenes of Dean and Pharm which were not needed at all and also distracting, making me think about the 'Until We Meet Again' series.
The drama Edits gives each supporting role so much screen time that it made every effort to make this drama general university life and not focus on the story. Even though the Win and Team story had lots of potential.
This drama pool side and water scene were shots early and all other scenes were shot in winter. Win had different hair colors. This showed that this drama didn't receive careful consideration from technical staff as compared to Dean and Pharm's series "Until We Meet Again".
With lots of Loopholes, This is a fun drama to watch with friends together on vacation or on weekends.

This drama has a good life lesson, that the writer might wanted teens and youth to know. Childhood trauma stays with us for a long time until we face it but we, alone are not strong enough to face it. we need our loved ones to stand with us to face it and heal our heart with their love and care. The second lesson was spreading awareness even though this culture has accepted different forms of relationships, the criticism still exists. They don't leave any chance to let you know how much they hate this with their harsh comments. This is our duty to not respond to it and to focus on our loved ones.

Sensual love forecast

Wow this BL is better than I expected. With every episode, it explores the sensuality of their connection infused with such chemistry between the two. It explores the depth of desire and the vulnerability of our heart. No, I don't support the red flag character of Mizuki but the drama is beautifully shot as we witness the journey of intimacy between the two that unfolds like a breeze even though it’s just for contract, I can tell that they like each other.

Not done with this BL, hope it doesn’t disappoint!^^

Only finished it because of Jeremy

By far one of the worst series that Jeremy has done and he’s a favorite of mine. Very talented.

Here we go:

ML does a great job with what the writer did. I’ve always enjoy watching Jeremy as he’s a strong actor.

FL was by far the worst. Too much child-like pouting and whiny. She’s pretty but her acting needs a lot of work. Forcing herself to look cute is more like annoying. I almost wanted to drop it after 4th episode because of her. Even when she was evil or supposed to become this strong person she couldn’t do it. Sorry to bash her but it was bad.

I actually enjoyed the supporting actors/actresses more than leads because FL just ruined it for me. I understand now why all the negative comments on her. There were a lot better people out that that would have been better and are pretty as well.

Storyline line of teacher and student love could have been written better. However that concept is getting old.

Music was very good and cinematic graphics was well done. I love the costumes as well.

Overall: I won’t recommend this even though there were other good actors and actresses that tried to pull it through. FL will make you drop the series. I had recently dropped another one of her series because it was just horrible acting as well.

huge amounts of silly fun

genuinely didn't expect a lot because the views on this show seem to be so mixed but i went in blind and i have to say, as of ep 6, i am having a GREAT time watching it.

the show doesn't take itself too seriously and neither should you. the acting is solid, the chemistry/ cast is great!!!! and the writing is funny as hell. the plot is secondary to the fun shenanigans but i like it that way sometimes - not everything has to be life-changing and philosophical. the dialogue does have its sincere and pondering moments (well done, too!) but the show really does to weigh more on the entertainment than the emotional scale.

definitely give it a shot if you've got the time!

Just me passionately waxing poetic on The Devil Judge:

For more visual experience:
https://www.instagram.com/p/C04SC4ENuRD/

In a futuristic-dystopic South Korea, three charismatic judges are appointed for a live court show. Citizens have the agency to cast judgment on the defendants as the trials and verdicts are broadcast in real-time. Unknown to the public, our lead judge, Kang Yohan, plans to take down the corrupt government. However, he is challenged by his subordinate, Kim Gaon, and an ambitious secretary, Jung Sun Ah. They fight, they hate, they fall for one another, and they do more amazing things...

Sexy, shiny, and unapologetically cruel, "The Devil Judge" tells the story of broken souls yearning for revenge within their shattered dreams. Mind you, the trials are so over-the-top and can be illogical, but stay calm; that is dystopia. "A trial is a game; fail to serve evidence, you lose," said Kang Yohan. This is not only true for these trials but also perfectly describes our leads' arcs. The evil scheming is fun, ridiculous, and never boring as we’re constantly rewarded by thought-provoking and intense twists. I also appreciate the cinematic sets and aesthetics in this drama.

Of course, I have to talk about the masterfully-written characters. First, the complex, well-spoken Yohan, brought to life by Ji Sung with his arrogance, elegant sensuality, his smirk, and his wink that is worth A-Million-Dollar-Swoon. Just as impressive as him, Park Jin Young as the feisty and smart Gaon is an appropriate match for Yohan. Whoever cast them goes to heaven! Also, Kim Min Jung as Sunah is one of the greatest femme fatales whose presence dominates everyone. Her motivation is intriguing and a delight to see.

Beyond a law-revenge drama, we have a subtle but deep romance that keeps you thrilled throughout the entire drama (and I am not lying). Shrouded in the shades of Beauty and the Beast, Yohan is like a loner Beast who wants Gaon by his side even when Gaon hates him, while Gaon is obsessed with Yohan, at the same time he hates Yohan since he is such a hypocrite, but Gaon still finds truth in his words. They have the best chemistry beyond their dialogues and gestures, in silence and behind the scenes. They are constantly skating on each other's vulnerability while playing out power roles in fascinating ways.

TL;DR: Yohan and Gaon are made for each other, and I can never get over them (Oh my GaHan!) Furthermore, it's beautiful to watch their bond heal each other, giving warmth to Yohan's family, which story I won't delve into to prevent spoilers, but there is Elijah as Yohan's sole family member and there is a mystery to why they ended up this way. There's just so much love in this dysfunctional family; without it, the drama would not be as wholesome.

Honestly, I could go on, and it wouldn't be enough to express my passion, but I will stop here and I hope you won't miss watching this drama if you haven't seen it. I would recommend “The Devil Judge” to all.

Embracing togetherness

A tale of three couples that warmed my heart. It was beyond what I'd expected. At first, I was pretty confused but then, I was welcomed by tales of shared affection. The conflicts weren’t dragged out, no need for spoken words for they could convey, all they felt. This KBL shouldn’t be underrated, it’s gonna be my comfort BL.

It's never too late to discover its warmth, GO WATCH IT!!

Triple the fun in Love Class 2

Initially I was expecting this to be a continuation of LC 1 with the same cast - it didn't happen. The concept of a Love Class at University continues but this time there are 2 other couples.

Three Couples

Friends to Lovers - the funny one
Teachers Assistant and Student - the frustrating / lack of communication one
Old Crush hurt / comfort - the darker one

All 3 stories are engaging and worth watching to see how they end. I switched favourites week to week

The kisses vary from hot and steamy to mannequin idol kisses so be warned !

This is definitely worthy of a binge watch. It is confusing in places and it would have benefitted from more interwoven interactions between the 3 couples throughout the series.

Didn't really notice the OST so can't comment. Casting and acting were generally good. I've rewatched bits already.

Can't wait for season 3

Enjoy!

Masterpiece

Kdrama of the year for me.

A truly gripping story that keeps you hooked throughout all the episodes with lovable characters, great acting performances by the cast and a beautiful OST that adds that something extra. A rollercoaster of emotion. They brought me laughter and sadness.

While it is a remake and I adore the original I am happy that the actors didn’t try to imitate the original performances. I felt like I was watching new characters and it was refreshing.

I will definitely be recommending this to all of my friends. 10/10

Bubbly and no angst drama

I liked this youth drama where the leads are so good in their roles and the chemistry was great. As young as they are, definitely gave me the vibe of two lovers with tacit understanding of what was important for them to continue their loving relationship as a couple as they mature into adulthood. Their kissing scenes were swoon worthy and will give you butterflies. The female lead was very funny, and she was perfect in this role, she played it well the awkwardness and being their first of everything that a young person does. Supporting actors were given good character development too. From being nerdy characters into a mature look. I liked that the male lead is one handsome dude with nice physique. Somewhat pleasing to watch him. After this, I guess he'll have more projects in the future. Good job! I can re-watch this rom/com drama for sure.

Some cute moments but annoying teenager, superficial and inconsistent characters and a plain story.

Had this show started when FL was already in university it would have a bit of a higher rating on my part, I found from that point onwards it was more entertaining, not great by any means, but better. From the beginning up to that point I almost quit several times solely on the fact that the FL was EXTREMELY annoying.
I'm not familiar with the actors in this show nor I generally care who is in what. There are actors I like, but I won't watch something only based on that. I say this because I don't know if the acting of Zhao Lu Si is her or it's the director and direction that pushed her to do that (and in that case not sure why they would be happy with that result). It was extremely annoying how she was acting as a 17 year old like she was 7. She was shown as more mature at age 14 in her way of speaking and mannerisms (although physically that actress was clearly younger so it was also very jarring).
I think at this point after two cdramas watched being set in high school I should avoid cdramas set in high school. It feels at times like I'm watching a video on morality and good manners directed at high schoolers, like the civil education videos I had to watch when I was around 12-14 years old. It's also so forced how they try at some point or another say some grandiose moral quote like they're talking to me directly instead of the character.
Also, for the love of all things dear, how was she so dumb and childish when technically she had good grades in school? It makes no sense at all.
They want to show later in university that she's more of a grown up but there are so many things in her way of doing and especially her voice that she still seems so childish. On the other hand ML changes completely of character once he's starting to be interested in her, he's all of a sudden super cocky and flirty, it was very out of character. From that point onwards it's like they're trying to keep reminding me that she's a girly girl and he's a boyish boy.... MEH.
I still don't understand fully how or when Jiaxu started having feelings for her, it's kind of sudden.
I didn't care they didn't show much of the drama involving his father because I had zero interest really, it seemed kind of typical and like it was not going to add much to the story other than some cliché trauma, but I didn't understand either why introducing that daughter of the family affected, she was very annoying and contributed nothing to the story either. I'm guessing she was only there so FL could show her more "mature" side but it's very weak.

There are some cute moments, but overall I was not so sure of why they liked each other, I'm not even sure why she liked him in the beginning to be honest, just because he was handsome and nice to her? not sure, I'm not shown at any point in the first or second half that they share anything when it comes to personality or likes or hobbies, they barely share even that many special moments. It's also very weird because he goes from calling her "sister" to 5 minutes later being interested in her, I couldn't shake that feeling of uneasiness, and it brings me to the fact that the sister thing was way overdone. It would have been so much better had he just been the brother's friend and kept that relationship of friend than making it so far as to his feeling of her as a sister, I felt that put a big barrier on there that I couldn't see a way of it being broken and so I was not surprised when it was just done suddenly and didn't work for me at all. It's also quite annoying when she's already in uni and she keeps saying he's old and they keep mentioning the 5 year gap, what is not a big one by any means.

As it happens in the other cdrama I watched recently (When I Fly Towards You), everything is shown in perfect stages, high school is the time for little crushes but ultimately focusing solely in studies, university ok for relationships, and as soon as you finish uni then get a great job straight away and save to quickly buy a house and start a family. It's very unrealistic, and after this being the second one with the same idea I'm starting to think that they're trying to precisely sell me an idea here more than a story. It was equally unrealistic his career, how he's able to achieve all that at his age, no problems in anything, same with her really, nothing of much importance. It's also the fact they feel the need to include in the story the whole process instead of only one part of it, it gives it even more that feeling of someone showing "how it's done" to me so I take it as an example.
Characters are also generally always kept superficially and secondary ones are pretty non existant.
I found the brother quite annoying at times as well, why was he ten times more patriarchal than the father? I know maybe he just has the older brother complex but seems so weird when it doesn't seem they have that dynamic in the family. Her parents were all right but I didn't really understand why they let the son be that way with her or take more charge of her than them, it was weird some times.

The ending is... well... the cherry on top I suppose. It was quite shocking she would be proposed on the same day of her graduation, like chill man!! Another cdrama that pushes the marry young idea, but I mean, considering they got everything else at unrealistic young ages no wonder by 22-23 they're bored of their lives and they need to marry or something ? (I know he's older but still applies, it's not like he had to do it like he has an expiration date and as far as we know he was not being pushed to do it by anyone either).

AMAZINNGGGGG!

What can i say about this drama. i freaking loved it. best chemistry i've seen between main F and M leads in a long time. The story is on point. had me squealing and kicking my legs like an idiot. Had me a bawling mess the next. Had me on the edge of my seat when it came to the whole rescuing scenes too. Also a good drama for those who like medical dramas too. Definitely recommend. P.S if your one of those people who refuse to watch a drama if it had a sad ending like me. Don't worry its a happy ending :)
