Truth or Dare? (I DARE you to watch this series)
Once again, the advent of the established pairing has brought along the loss of plot. Not that there was much to begin with, considering this was more And Then There Were None - with none of the nuance or intrigue. And you add to that two children with their pretend walkie-talkies as your leads? That's a formula about to blow up so quick. The trailer made it seem like all the romance in the entire series was packed into it, even Joong and Dunk said so.. Now I know that they were made to lie! They said that romance was apparently only a tiny part of the story, the rest of it was a crime thriller. Their words had as much truth, as the story had mystery. And now I feel kind of weird having compared the leads - Kamin and Jade - to children because they behave more like teenagers. I hope the connection is made without having me spelling it out. Teenagers in love?
Everything in this story is BANG! BANG! BOOM! Including their attraction, which happens for no other reason but a shared trauma of hair in the eye. IYKYK, but if you don't, let's just say they never had to wear sunglasses because their hair provided excellent protection from the glare. They meet in episode one, are in love by episode four, and with just ten episodes, it's not a lot - but remember. This is supposed to be a crime thriller.
The writers clearly forgot that because having Joong and Dunk flirt on screen while all the other characters get killed off is.. well it does kind of sound like a plot I'd weirdly be into.. but no! There's a plot and time, and this wasn't it. The leads are introduced as two people dedicated to their jobs, it took them ten episodes to find the killer. Instead they just flirt inappropriately, everywhere they go. And you may ask, "But what is the place where you flirt appropriately?"
Not anywhere, anytime they did.
You are assigned to a high prolific murder case, where the victims are literally being picked off like flies, yet! It's the perfect time to play boyfriends and buy each other terrible fridge magnets.
Of course, to make up for the lack of any plot, we get weird segues to drug cases that, may or may not be related to the murders, no, that definitely was not an attempt to get Joong shirtless or have Aou and Boom make a cameo (the best part of the series by the way). (The cameo, not shirtless Joong, we got a lot of shirtless Joong).
To cap it all off, by all means, the big reveal was so hilariously predictable, I was actually gagged at how badly done it was because no way I was able to guess it in the second episode. Yes, I have watched my fair share of thrillers but ask anyone, I'm not the best as putting the dots together. If I was able to get it, we know the writing was laughable.
And after all of that, the conclusions for every single character made me so furious, genuinely, I haven't gone into the details of the "thriller" much (because again, it's not really a thriller), but the characters involved in that part of the story were actual trash on earth, and none of their actions got any consequences that we could see. Instead we got the hallmark of BLs, a beach trip.
I'm not even angry or disappointed, because in retrospect, that neon yellow poster told me everything I needed to know. They clearly tried to take this way too seriously and I say they should have leaned into the silliness. If it was truly meant to be as silly as it was, I would have loved it! (that's a lie, but who cares). But if you're going to be talking about serious topics or dealing with sensitive issues in your story, at least have the people dealing with it take it seriously. There's a lot going on this story, like I said, it was insanely fast paced, with many characters but no one really managed to make an impact. I actually called the leads by their actors names until the very end, that's how bad it was.
The writing, editing, all choices made here were definitely not done with any consideration.
Maybe there is something to be said for Joong and Dunk's chemistry though, they've had good chemistry for a long while but not enough that I believe your first meeting has you at odds and by the second encounter you're practically salivating at their thought. I did not buy the romance, or the mystery, anything they were trying to sell me.
Because again, I'm not angry or disappointed, I'm just. Numb? I got a few good chuckles and an Aou Boom cameo out of it, and I'll take it, even though it's not enough. And even if you enjoy buddy cop comedies and you've always shipped the buddy cops, I wouldn't recommend this to you.

Difficult Topic But Entertaining Show
I was drawn to the show because I have seen the 3 FLs in different kdramas and wanted to see how it turns out. First of all, it brings a difficult topic to the forefront that before I even watched E1, the comments section was a drama into itself and everyone criticizing the FLs for their actions. WAKE UP! It’s just a tv show for us to be entertained. The plot line was intriguing infusing current day applications and how creative it can be used albeit in an abusive manner. The entanglement web of officials and professionals involved was very thought provoking. The storyline pulled me in and didn’t let go. Yes there were the typical stupid people kdrama moves in subplots but it kept moving forward. YES this is worth watching despite the chauvinistic reactions in some reviews and commentsWas this review helpful to you?
DiDi Is So Cute, And So Adorable! Hes Becoming So Handsome, And So Very Gorgeous! Dragon King Rules!
Yesterday, I Happened To Come Accross A 2 Minute, And Maybe 20 Second Video, It Had DiDi In It, So I Wasn't Going To Pass It Up... I DO NOT Care For Shen Yue, And Yes I Did Watch Meteor Garden... I Couldn't Even Watch Passed Episode #2 Or 3 On YouTube, So I Ended Up Buying The Whole DVD Box Set Just To Watch It. Even After Watching Meteor Garden I DON'T SHIP THEM!!! I Have Never Shipped Them... Anyways I Don't Understand Why People Ship Them, They Were Just Young, Dumb Kids That Were Supposedly In Love... No Just Kidding, I Did Really Like The Drama, But Shipping Them Both No!I Only Rated This A 9.0, Because I Would Not Consider This To Be A Drama! I Really Wanted To Give It A 9.5, But Couldn't Just For The Fact That It Isn't A Drama. It's More Like Just A Small Skit. Even When The Show Itself Comes Out I Wouldn't Consider It A Drama Niether. This Is More About Them In Real Life Taking Care Of A Restaurant, And Making, And Preparing The Food. So No I Do Not Consider This To Be A Drama. SORRY!!!
The Video I Saw Was Of DiDi Walking Up To Shen Yue, And Giving Her A Quick Hug... Then It's Mostly Just Mostly Of DiDi, And Shen Yu Discussing Of Diffrent Things... Shen Yu Tells DiDi I Want To Write This, And DiDi Said That When A Certain Person Was Around They Didn't Have To Do That... He Sraight Up Says: Time To Work Now. Shen Yue Asks DiDi What Color Do You Chose For The Restaurant, DiDi Replys Blue! Lets Chose The Blue, The Of Color Of The Restaurant. I Thought That Was So Nice, And Sweet Of Her To Let Him Chose The Color. (I Will Admit That There Interactions With Eachother Are Very Sweet, And Loving, But Just As Good Friends Would Be, Maybe Even Best Friends, Since DiDi Did Go Up To Her, And Give Her That Hug.) Anways They Say They Were Going To Eat So She Helps Him Move A Cable Into The Bulding, And He Moves Some Chairs In For Them To Sit On. That's Basically It!!! I'm Asumming I Saw An Edit, Because I Saw Another One Symalar To The 1st One, But This One Had Just Music So I Skipped It.
I Will Try To Find The Full Version Of This, So That I Can Write A Better Review Of This... If I Do I Will Be Back To Write Another Review!!!

The "culture" of this show is a predator's paradise
Firstly, I understand I am not the target audience and I didn’t want to be harsh for an “idol romance” but if you are looking for the emotional intelligence and proactive charm of Hidden Love, stay well away from this absolute pile of bin fire. While marketed as a nostalgic, "sweet" coming-of-age romance, Our Secret is actually a 24-episode marathon of unpunished toxicity and pathological passivity. The "Snail" Protagonist Female Lead is a masterclass in self-sabotage and immaturity. Framed as "shy" and "sensitive," she is, in reality, an emotional vacuum who refuses to communicate basic facts. Whether she’s sitting in a classroom seat she hates or pouting because she’s too insecure to speak, she behaves like a spoilt brat who expects the world to read her mind. Her "growth" is non-existent for the vast majority of the show; she simply remains a useless doormat for her family and peers.
A Wretched Culture of Non-Accountability with the most "demented" aspect of this script is the complete lack of justice. The show presents a lawless, predatory environment where villains are treated as "character-building" obstacles rather than criminals:
The Thugs: Stalk and ambush the leads? They just walk away.
The Peeping Tom: Caught taking non-consensual photos? The Male Lead just deletes the SIM card and lets the predator keep his camera and his freedom.
The University Senior: Blackmails the lead into a cybercrime and drunkenly assaults the FL? Not a single legal or academic consequence.
The Saboteurs: Colleagues who scam contracts and rivals who literally lock the FL in a storeroom are never held accountable.
The show pushes a deeply problematic message: Conflict is failure, and silence is virtue. It suggests that "good" people should just "eat bitterness" and endure abuse until they eventually succeed through academic merit. It ties a person’s right to safety and respect to their GPA, suggesting that if you are a "genius," you should be above caring about being tormented.
The central relationship isn't a partnership; it’s a babysitting gig. The Male Lead acts as a silent martyr, absorbing the world's filth to protect a girl who can’t even handle a drunken senior without turning into a trembling damsel. It’s "misery porn" disguised as a romance, where the only way to prove love is to see how much unpunished garbage the couple can survive together.
Verdict:
A regressive, illogical, and frankly infuriating watch. It celebrates submission over agency and stagnation over growth. Unless there is an interest in watching malicious individuals get away with everything while the leads pout in silence, give this one a wide berth.
1/10 – Fundamentally unfit for purpose

My Feb Recommendation Challenge
Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓. Let’s talk movie…The story spans ten years, beginning in 2005. Lu Qinyang (QY) is a "problem student" who falls head-over-heels for the top-tier student Ling Yiyao (YY). He famously confesses his love to her in front of the entire school, promising to give her a happy life and marry her one day.
As they move into adulthood, the "purity" of their high school romance hits the brick wall of adult reality. QY takes on dangerous and grueling construction jobs to save money to ‘fit’ for YY, while YY stays by his side despite her mother’s disapproval and better offers from wealthier suitors.
They were desperate to be together, they struggled against the harsh reality, and after all was said and done, is the love that they have still the same?
That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers.
This movie really portrays the harsh reality when love alone is not enough for relationships & building the future together. Qu Chu Xiao & Zhang Jing Yi, played their characters beautifully, I can feel their bitterness in the harsh reality.
I don't like the ending, but that’s really real life, when not all the story ends with a happy ending… :(
Overall I quite happy can watch this movie…. Just prepare your tissue when you want to watch this one...

MY FAVOURITE DRAMA EVER!
No Tail to Tell had such low ratings that left me shocked because this drama was genuinely so heartwarming and cute. I mean, it was very lovable. The first three episodes are no doubt boring, and I felt like dropping it because I was bored, but the way it picks up after that is amazing. I absolutely love both the main leads, and I kid you not, the calmness and patience with which the main lead, Siyeol, handles Eunho’s tantrums was to die for. I was giggling, blushing, and dying just watching that. The gentleness he showed to her and their banter was so fun and good. Literally, both were just so ready to die for each other. Episode 11 made me cry so much. Siyeol was just so down for her, and when Eunho sacrificed herself for him, I cried. They are so beautiful, my babies. But I felt so utterly sad to know that they spent literally ten years without each other. Even then, Eunho never changed, and that is literally so her, because after she became the fox again, she met him after ten years and was like, let’s break up. Girl, come on, that man is crying. Still, they got their happy ending, and this might be the first 12 episode drama I have seen this year that actually did not rush the ending and showed proper scenes of them going on a date and being happy. Considering Eunho is still a fox, it would have been better if they had not shown that Siyeol would die and Eunho would just live without him. Never mind, I still think she would not live after him because they are just way too much in love. All his friends also got their happy endings too, and I am so happy that no ends were left loose.

A good love story. That’s it.
The first credit I would like to give to this story, is that it relatively feels real. Usually dramas are too fictional to relate to (ceo/yn, rich/poor), obviously this had a few aspects like that, but they didn’t take over the plot. The story is real, that’s what it was that attracted me to it. I actually felt the character growth in a way (a bit lacking) but still the ml especially deserved an honorable mention. By the end, the ml didn’t blame her, or anybody else, he knew that he saw some signs and he ignored them, and that he shouldn’t have done that. For the fl, the steps she had taken, are inspiring. Having gone through such traumatic events, she managed to slowly find herself and even got to her own conclusion by herself, that running away won’t get her anywhere. HOWEVER, one thing that bothered me till the end, is their relationship with their best friends. I know that this is a romance story, I know that the result is supposed to be « Now they can be together happily ever after forever », but at the end it felt like the fl genuinely did not care about anybody but the ml, she created a dependency which in real life would be too frightening. And even putting that aside, they were both bad friends, not once did they value their best friends enough to prioritize them. The ml outright skimmed through the dog passing away part and the fl never cared about her best friend’s feelings when she disappeared or even just when it’s obvious that she’s upset. Keeping in mind that their best friends both respectively prioritized them at so many other occasions. So overall, if we’re just focusing on the romance, it was a nice story, but the best friends aspect was genuinely disappointing.

Amazing music.
My favorite thing about this entire drama is the music, the random action/funny music that would pop in « exciting » scenes. At some scenes I was even more focused on reading the lyrics of the songs than what the characters were saying, genuinely, a job well done in that aspect. To be fair, I enjoyed this overall, but at the end it felt like it got.. heavy, it felt like the pacing was all over the place. However, I will not deny that the plot itself and the characters were well made in my opinion, so it still is a well worthy watch.
Ps: the accessories were too over the top

A surprisingly good multiple leads story.
This was genuinely super fun. To be honest, I’ve never liked multiple leads stories, but this one was an exception for me. I can’t deny that I do have certain favorite couples over others (in my case it’s the 3rd sister and 5th sister stories), but I did find all of them enjoyable. Not gonna lie, a lot of cliché thrown together, but it was still done in a nice way that made me appreciate it. I really love the sister relationship in the entire story, and the daughter mother relationship, it was precious and I love how at any obstacle, they’re all willing to throw hands. The later on developed relationship between the brothers in law was also very wholesome yet funny.Overall, I enjoyed this a lot. At some points the pacing felt a bit off, but to be honest I ignored that and just enjoyed my time.
Ps: I loved the accessories in this one.

Easily forgettable...
I think Bow Then Kiss is the type of movie clearly aimed at a much younger audience. The story felt very shallow, and unfortunately, so did the acting. It lacked emotional depth, and I never felt fully invested in the characters or their journey. The so-called “chemistry” between the two leads just wasn’t there for me. There was maybe one single scene where I could feel a spark, one moment that almost worked but one scene can’t carry or redeem an entire film. Chemistry isn’t something you can force; it either builds naturally throughout the story or it doesn’t. And here, it simply didn’t.
Maybe if I were 13 years old, I would have absolutely loved this movie. It has that innocent, soft-romance vibe that can feel magical when you’re younger. But watching it now, it felt more surface-level than sincere. It wasn’t terrible, just forgettable.

✨Stunning Visuals, Suspicious Editing, and Emotional Damage on the side✨
Full transparency: I like the leads, so this drama started on easy mode for me.Masterpiece? No. Visually beautiful? Yes. Is it technically smooth? Editors… respectfully… what exactly was happening in that editing room? Because some genuinely stunning cinematography got thrown into transitions that felt like someone discovered effects for the first time bro. Gorgeous shots deserved better, your honor.
The plot takes time to click — expect early confusion until about episode 6ish, maybe more.
Standard Wuxia on-boarding: lots of sects, ancient grudges, inherited beef, and naturally — our leads coming from opposite sides because peace is illegal in wuxia, duh.
Now, the leads.
The FL? Love her. Smart, pragmatic, morally flexible when necessary, and refreshingly not existing solely to fall in love. Girlie is focused on survival and making money first, romance later — deeply relatable behavior. She knows her worth, holds her ground, and never feels like narrative decoration.
The ML? Exactly my brand of disaster. Morally complex, slightly unhinged, armed with a tragic backstory, and catastrophically devoted to his girl. Say less. I’m seated. That said, it sometimes feels like the writers weren’t entirely sure what they wanted to do with him. The ingredients for an incredible character are all there, but the execution occasionally feels undercooked — strong traits that never fully blend into one cohesive psychological masterpiece. Obviously I blame this on the drama runners because I know my boy ZYR can pull off some acting.
The chemistry between the leads carries a lot of emotional weight — very push-and-pull, reluctant allies to ride-or-die energy. And unexpectedly, I’m really enjoying the SML. His dynamic with the FL has been genuinely hilarious so far. I am begging the writers not to send him into delusional heartbreak territory. Let the man remain a pookie.
Overall, this drama is messy, uneven, occasionally frustrating — yet undeniably fun. It improves as it goes, the character dynamics keep things engaging, and despite its flaws, I’m having a great time.
Currently on episode 17, so verdict pending. Consider this a ''mid-journey report''. Final judgment will depend entirely on whether the writers stick the landing… or emotionally ruin us all.
✨Update (with 6 episodes left to go)✨
Ok, all editing jokes aside, this drama is one of those cases where it genuinely gets better with each episode. The rocky start had me side-eyeing it a bit, but the story gradually finds its footing and the characters start to breathe more.
Major kudos to the team for managing to portray such a complicated dynamic between the leads. Their relationship is messy, layered, and constantly clashing because they’re both very strong personalities, which actually makes their interactions interesting to watch.
MQY is easily one of the highlights for me. I love it when a lead character is compelling even outside the romance, and he definitely qualifies. He’s complex, conflicted, and once he decides on something, he commits to it fully. Ride-or-die energy for his girl and extremely effective at getting things done. The man believes in his cause and is determined to see it through.
I thought the ML from SOKP was wild, but this one might actually take the crown for me so far. Homie is genuinely unhinged. Entertaining to watch on screen? Absolutely. Someone I would run away from in real life? Also absolutely.
And honestly, the SML is objectively the better option. He’s a great character and far less toxic overall. Meanwhile MQY is… well… manipulative. Even toward the person he cherishes the most. Sure, you can unpack the psychology, the trauma, the coping mechanisms, all of that. But the behavior is still the behavior.
That said, we’re watching a drama, and the ML is the ML, so here we are.
Since I mostly watch dramas for the romance, my thoughts inevitably revolve around that aspect. The push-and-pull between the leads can be emotionally exhausting at times. The whole separating-and-reuniting cycle happened enough times that my eyeballs rolled more than once, not gonna lie. But at the same time, that instability is basically the blueprint of their relationship, so narratively it does make sense.
The chemistry between the leads works well overall, though the romantic moments themselves have been a bit restrained so far. The kisses were okay, but given how intense these characters are, I expected something a little more passionate. With six episodes left, there’s still time for that to change.
Going into this drama, I definitely had higher expectations because of the director and the trailer, which set the bar pretty high. The final result hasn’t quite reached that level for me. Still, this drama is far from unwatchable.
The reception seems to swing wildly between people praising it to the heavens and others roasting it into oblivion. Personally, I land somewhere comfortably in the middle. Not the worst, not the best. Different strokes for different folks.
If you don’t mind a slow and slightly rocky start, some questionable editing choices, a morally grey (and mildly unhinged) ML — which took me a minute to warm up to, but I eventually did — and a generally likable FL, then this could be your next pit stop. Consume at your own risk.
PS: Also, the amount of promo the leads did? Fire. They look incredible together visually. I’m lowkey obsessed with those clips and honestly manifesting a modern drama with these two.
PS2 (because apparently I have more thoughts): I’ll probably add one last line later confirming whether the ending sticks the landing or completely derails the train.
I know most people prefer to post reviews only after finishing a drama, but I’ve always found it interesting to look back at my thoughts from the beginning versus the later episodes. It’s almost like tracking your own viewing brain in real time—seeing how your perception shifts as the story unfolds.
✨ Final Update (post-finale) ✨
Alright, we made it to the finish line.
The good news: our leads get the well-deserved happy ending. After everything the writers kept throwing at them — and trust me, the emotional shitstorms never really stopped coming.
The villain reveal, unfortunately, was pretty underwhelming and very predictable. When the moment finally came it was more of a “yep… figured” situation than a shocking twist.
One thing I really appreciated though: the SML stayed a great character all the way through. That’s honestly rare. No random bitterness, no character assassination. Even the ML seems to develop a grudging respect for him, which made their dynamic surprisingly satisfying. I also loved that the FL and SML maintained such a good relationship without the usual love-triangle mess.
Some plot points were wrapped up a bit conveniently — the ML’s miraculous healing included — but honestly… shhh. We got a cute ending and a married-in hubby, so I’m choosing peace.
Messy at times, occasionally frustrating, but ultimately an enjoyable ride.

My head hurts but it was all worth it.
48 episodes. A rating of 10.Swords into Plowshares is the title and it definitely is a befitting one.
From nollywood to Hollywood, then the Filipino ones, mexican, before South Korea. Bollywood then Cdrama, Thai, Japanese etc....Ive watched a lot. I don't just watch because it is a form of entertainment, I watch films to feel. And nothing makes me feel more than the Chinese ones.
I love reading history but I love watching history more. History that is raw and unfiltered. History that does not hold back facts. History that does not shy from criticism. And while China might be state controlled, they've never held back when it comes to telling stories about their past. It is why they are a propaganda I am willing to fall for.
Anyway, if you are willing to, watch Swords into Plowshares.
