The leads ruined it for me

Things I loved

1 That it was related to Hidden Love that I adored and I thought I knew the character of the ML since I had adored him as well in Hidden Love. So I was excited to watch this.

Things I liked

1 That she was a journalist. My favorite job in the world. Unfortunately she never convinced me that she was a good one.

2 The parallel between present and past. When it's well done it's great and I've seen other dramas where I adored that. Here there were some good scenes in the past and the resent but all in all nothing to make me care.

Things I disliked

1 The second couple. It's funny that both actresses, the FL and the 2FL are in the list of those I won't watch any drama with her anymore. I think they're no great and every time I try to watch them they come out as too childish or too flat.

2 The ML. I won't say I hated him, but honestly after watching his role in Hidden Love played by another actor and loved him, here he felt lifeless. I can't comment of how he was written in the novel, but it would be surprising if the novelist created two so much different versions of him. in Hidden Love he was one of my favorite characters other than the leads. Here he tried too hard to play the brooding hero but in the and he wasn't convincing. To be honest I don't think I'd watch the actor in anything else since he doesn't appeal to me and seems like an adolescent and I can't see him in any thing adult. Unfortunately I don't find him a great actor either.

3 The FL. This was my last attempt to watch something with her. She isn't a good actress, it's now established. She is flat and bland and doesn't steer any emotion when she recites her lines. Is she pretty? Probably for many people. I don't like her acting so i don't find her attractive either. It happens when you dislike the acting of an actor to find them unappealing and the opposite is also true. I don't find some actors handsome but when they act I suddenly find them gorgeous. To make things short, the casting was wrong if you ask me. This is nowhere near the masterpiece that is Hidden Love. Humor, emotions, romance are on the highest level. Here there's nothing to keep. Maybe a scene here and there, but that's all.

I should have known

I should have known with a premise like sleeping with a guy to save a sister from long illness that would be classic kdrama toxic masculinity laundered as romantic assertiveness. The chemistry between leads is very basic the second male in the triangle is badly written and badly acted that scene where he forcefully prevent lead from closing the door of her apartment tainted the character irrémédiably. I do not recommend.

the most wholesome show ever

I’m so glad a friend forced me to watch this. big fan now. And please how do I find an Izaya in my life?

it was really wholesome to see them navigate this stage together and hear their perspectives and different experiences coming out and everything. I love how each one grew as a human regardless or romance or whatever and you can tell they all became pretty much a small family by the end.

Theo ly thing is that I wish the panelists would be sort of more involved in commentary here and there.

I think each episode showed a different side of them and by the end you sort of feel like part of their group too. I think I’ll be rooting for each of them u til the end.

Could've been one of the best series ever

*minor spoilers*
It is definitely one of the best OffGun series in my opinion, but some aspects of it, as well as the ending, made it worse for me.

Where to watch: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLszepnkojZI5PgAzQZcE8fQdOVzJZgicx

Things I Liked:
1. They did a good job portraying a real-life problem with the AI.
2. Great acting from everyone. I really want to see Dew more in similar roles in the future as well as Off. They did an amazing job.
3. I love the chemistry between all of the main characters. Watching them feels like I'm in a whole chemistry lab.
4. Koh is a freaking megamind. He is always two steps ahead of everybody. I loved his character for the most part.
5. ("I can't live without you." "Well, I can.") Jira finally standing up for himself—that has to be the best thing he's done.
6. I fell in love with the style of this series. Everything was so beautiful!

Things I disliked:
1. They moved from absolute hate to "move in with me" in less than 2 episodes. A bit too quick in my opinion, 1-2 more episodes would be perfect.
2. No matter how much I disliked Pheem for several reasons, I still would accept the Pheem and Jira ending 10 times out of 10 rather than the Koh and Jira.
3. While watching 10th episode, I was hoping so hard for an ending where Jira end's up with either Pheem or, even better, alone because after everything, I really didn't want to see Koh ever again
4. A classic "timeskip fixes everything." They didn't show us a single thing to prove that Koh truly changed for the best or at least did something to get closer to that. There is no way these characters would be able to stay together in any type of healthy or sane relationship without doing anything to become better.

this season goes to the panelists ?

I think this season was amazing, far better than previous ones. I loved the challenges and you could tell that they allowed everyone to be more honest and direct.

I can also tell that Mina was obviously exploited as a way to keep users engaged somehow. Andyes she was the “villain” but also girl common…

all the couples that came out of this season are super cute and I do wish them the best. still we need justice for my girl Mingee she deserves better and for Igeon, thank god for the reunion is all I can say.

but tbh this season was for the panelists. they did NOT hold back with their responses and their reactions. I will never get over the “evil spirit is moving” line. I totally lost it HAHAHA. I know eventually they had to issue an apology (not needed tbh) but I hope they get to keep this level of unhinged response going forward because it was pure gold.

Just as good as the Korean movie version

Disclaimer

What I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.

You guys don't know- I have been looking for the Japanese series version to the Korean movie 'Midnight Runners' for a very long time as I totally adore the movie with all of my heart. And sometimes a new version of something that one holds dear can either be a hit or a miss. This series was definately a hit with me. I saw it on an illegal site in I think the year 2024, but when i went to see if I could watch it last year, the series was just...gone. So, I don't know why, but I looked for it recently and found all of the episodes on another site. And I was so grateful- because the Japanese did an excellent job in retelling the movie (with some parts of it in episode 1 and the whole storyline in episodes 2 and 3) as well as exploring new cases in the remaining seven episodes.

And what can I say? I utterly loved it. It introduced us to more police academy cadets as well as it gave us more chacrter development on the two male leads. The series was not only funny, it was emotional and also the bromance was so well done just as how it was in the movie. This was a quick, enjoyable watch for me as I finished all episodes in one sitting on one day . I honestly believe that more people should definatley watch this series.

It's good but feels half done. Have a lot of questions

I watched this drama with high expectations cz of the hype so my review could be a bit on the picky side but i really feel the drama was half done. My review is from someone who has not read the novel.

Lot of our questions are kinda unanswered. Usually in such dramas (like marry my husband etc) all the questions are answered and loose ends are tied up but here that was not the case. We will never know why or how jerome and jin fell in love in the original world or timeline. This was something i really wanted to know. I'm kinda confused if this is a parallel universe or time travel. I'm guessing it's parallel universe only cz of the last episode bridge scene where jerome is talking to his future self. Also I'm kinda confused if there were just 2 worlds or more than 2 cz jin died multiple times in multiple ways🤔. I get that his birthday wish was the reason he could save Jin but idk that didn't feel like a very good reason. Also about Farm's family, he does say its complicated. I was expecting a followup on that but they left it at that. These are few things i feel were not there. They're probably in the novel.

I'd have preferred a chronological flashback even if they kept switching back n forth. They did what they did it's not bad but not the best time travel or parallel universe BL.

Mid series i just lost interest in the main couple cz their story was pretty much it. Jerome was having flashbacks and both were taking turn in the hospital or they were just all in love and pure fluff. I feel FarmVan saved the 2nd half of the show. I was more into their story. I loved their story except for the part where Van kisses the girl. Cheating is just not my thing.

All the actors were really amazing. Couldn't tell they were all new. They were all serving visual but my favorite would be FarmVan or SurfJava😅❤️ . I just loved them a lot.

Today you're king, tomorrow you're gone.

It was a good series. I enjoyed watching it. Those who like this type of series can watch it. Because it's a bit of a political series. There's a lot of dialogue. Long conversations can sometimes be boring. The action is watchable, but the excessive dialogue reduces watchability. It gets tedious. That's why some people stop watching.

It depicts the turbulent period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. We can say it represents the transition from instability to stability. The lives of three kings, in particular, who contributed to this are the focus. The unification is depicted in the end.
I liked it. There were minor flaws. There wasn't a complete narrative. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been something that could fit into so many episodes.

There's no romance in the series. Only in the last episode, the conversation, hugs, and funeral ceremony after King Chu's wife's death moved me. While the kings, especially the fathers, are the focus, except for one king, none of the kings' wives, mothers, or fathers are mentioned. Those topics weren't explored. In other words, the subject wasn't delved into.

There was a guard played by Wan Zhi Peng. Every time, this man gets removed from his post. But then you see him doing the same things again. In one scene, the Guard Commander he portrays is removed from his post and demoted to private. In the next scene, you see the same man, as Guard Commander, beheading someone else.

Also, in the Qian dynasty, I think the sixth prince dies as king. Afterwards, his brother becomes king. When he dies, the mother figure appears. So, it seems these princes had mothers who were alive. Why wasn't she present at the deaths of the other princes after the father's death, or at their reigns, but only at the death of one prince? I was surprised. For example, such interesting things happened. I found it strange. I wouldn't say I found fault, but these felt like patches. They distanced the series from its core. It should have been all or nothing. It's as if one had a mother and the other didn't.

All the kings are married, for example, but their relationships with their wives were never shown. There were brief glimpses, but no detail was explored. The sons didn't rebel against the other becoming king. So, even if these events happened, they weren't reflected to us. There can be shortcomings like that. But not in this many episodes. It would take hundreds of episodes to fully capture it. It reflects that period in a general way. I liked it. I even compared it to "Nirvana On Fire" at times. It's not quite on the same level, but it's about the same. Bai Yu, Zhou Yu Tong, Zhu Ya Wen, Yu Hao Ming, and Dong Yong were especially successful. Ni Da Hong reflected his experience. He was very, very good. I liked it a lot. Wu Hao Chen was unexpectedly good. I didn't expect that. Jiang Kai, Gao Yu Qing, Edward Zhang, Wang Zhi Peng, and Mei Ting were the ones that stood out to me. I also liked the young princes. I especially recommend it to those who like political dramas.

Ski Into Love is a visually charming drama that successfully blends the chill of winter sports with the warmth of art. The highlight for me, and what truly gives the series its identity, is the artistic direction. I loved how the manhua sketches are integrated into the narrative; those scenes at the end of each episode, where the moments they’ve lived are transformed into illustrations, are a visual delight and provide a very poetic closure to the story.

However, you have to go into this drama knowing what to expect regarding the female lead's performance. As is common in many C-Dramas, the protagonist's behavior is extremely infantile. Seeing an adult woman (and a talented professional artist) act with toddler-like gestures and high-pitched voices feels quite absurd from a Western perspective. It’s a strong cultural clash: what is sold there as "sweetness" or Sajiao, feels like character regression here.

If you can manage to ignore those childish mannerisms, you’re left with a very sweet love story, impeccable aesthetics, and a clever use of drawing that significantly elevates the final result.

The Best: The manhua illustrations at the end of each episode are beautiful.
The snowy setting, which is a refreshing break from typical drama locations.
A light, "feel-good" story perfect for winding down.

The Worst: The excessive infantilization of the female lead, which sometimes undermines the maturity of the romance.

Decent watch and surprised with both leads acting.

I watched this drama last year and it was good.

The plot is good, but it cannot be viewed with high moral standards. Overall, it's a story about two scumbag women and two love-obsessed women.

This version is much better than the other. FL in this version is indeed a bad woman, but she's unwilling to leave because she's invested a lot in her husband's family; leaving would mean losing everything. In the end, the SML also realizes his mistake and leaves. FL is portrayed as shrewd, strategic, courageous, and calculating, but the ending sees the ML resolving the issues, with FL largely uninvolved (only her status as the adopted son of the second male lead is revealed), and she is given a reason why the SML can't go back together with him.

Du Yafei's acting has improved in this drama; his crying scenes and the tears he shed were incredibly moving. I dont know Shu Xue Man works but i quite like her acting; her crying and coquettishness was quite natural. was better than some of well known short drama actress in period drama.

This version was the best adaptation. You should watch this.

Even if This Love Disappears Tonight Review - ZyKuu

"Emotional memories are attached to the heart" - The story is about two students who agree to date based on three conditions. The plot is very deep as I found myself broken during one moment and empathizing with the characters throughout. With regards to the medical setbacks both main leads faced, I found it poignant with how both diagnoses was affecting their every day livelihoods. Han Seo-yoon is the female lead that is suffering from anterograde amnesia. Seo-yoon was required to be versatile, create sudden shifts in emotions and demeanor which she executed perfectly. Kim Jae-won is the male lead that is suffering from a hereditary heart-failure. Jae-won portrayed a timid student who stood up for what he believed in while trying to make the others around him happy despite his situation. Their acting was amazing, their romantic chemistry was cute, and I admired the way they interacted with one another given their health conditions. Choi Ji-min was the best friend to Seo-yoon. I found her acting to be good, but her friendship to be genuine. Ji-min was always looking out for Seo-yoon to the best of her ability and that was admirable as it takes immense dedication. The OST contains a solid set of tracks. Overall this piece of media will classify as a K-trauma and I find this film to be tragically beautiful!

The contrast between romance development and story pacing

I watched this because of Han Yutong and i quite like Lanbo. But i quite not hate it nor like it. It feels lukewarm. The chemistry between the leads was quite restrained.

You can see the production team's effort; the actors (Lan Bo is probably the closest to ML character in terms of personal image and temperament among the five versions), sets, and costumes are all quite well done, but the content is average.

Plot is about FL husband has a secret love interest and is unwilling to consummate their marriage. Facing the dual predicament of her husband's incompetence and internal family strife, FL seeking an heir, uses the opportunity of falling off a cliff while burning incense to get close to the imprisoned ML. ML is actually the emperor's brother-in-law. FL disguises herself as a maid.
After becoming pregnant, FL leaves and cuts off all contact, while also helping ML clear his name.

ML thinks he's the adulterer, is competitive, and easily appeased. When they look at each other, the male lead thinks she truly loves him, while FL thinks she can finally sleep with him. The story was quite dragged for long even the pace is slightly fast compared to other version but the romance development was too slow. The leads only got together befor 5 minutes of ending.

Can watch if you don't have anything to watch.

A Great Revenge Drama

regression/revenge dramas are definitely a guilty pleasure for me and im always looking for more, so ofc pounced on this one which looked to have a great viewer base.

it was definitely a lot of fun to watch. the main leads have great chemistry, the story is crisp, the show delivers what it promises. this is not some thespian acting or some award winning writing, but when you want to watch an over the top revenge drama, it delivers, which is what it promises.

the plight of the sml had me SAT. the actor rlly sold it well and it was so hilarious i was laughing throughout. he definitely got what he deserved. so did the sfl tho she was nowhere as memorable as the sml.

there is a lot of slapping like i dont think there is a single episode where someone isnt being hit, so you've been warned. very daily soap in that sense.

what annoyed me the most was the last episode break-up between the main leads like they could have instead given us some cute moments in the last 10 minutes but they just gave a hasty reunion in the literal last 2 min which annoyed me. but other than that, absolutely fun!!!

One word. Beautiful.

Personally, I love this drama. Even though yes, the plot is basically the typical freaky friday body swap thing, it still has really fresh and new elements to it. One of it is that they don’t just use that plot once, but many more times which makes it more interesting.

I also love how there are a lot of different yet interconnected conflicts. It might be confusing for some people (honestly I was one of them) because there are so many things happening in the drama, but that makes the drama really fun.

OH AND THE ACTING. Oh my god. Top tier. I love their acting, especially the main characters. Their chemistry is chef’s kiss😘🤌. I kept laughing throughout the entire drama. THEY’RE SO CUTE TOGETHER😩💗. Lastly, the music, hanfus, world building, and cinematography are also top tier.

💯Recommended.

I hate imwhen it does not make sense

It was a good start and i had high hopes but the last teo episodes were a mess. I also felt this would have been a better movie. I really hoped for a better ending. The first half was a 9/10 the later a 3/10. Its just awful to watch smth where they cant come up with a good end so they male a whole mess out of it where you think that should be called a fantasy series.
The FL is an outstanding actress though she held this one together.
