Not a great show. Had potential, which was not developed.
I tried this show after watching the EXCELLENT "The pride of the Temp" since it promised to be also a comedy about the Japanese workplace and its quirks. However, this show is much, much less funny. The Takano character is a kind of Forrest Gump, but much weaker. Not only talentless, but basically completely dumb, on the verge of autistic. She does absolutely nothing at work, except watching cat videos, she doesn't have any qualifications. However, when she is brought to business meetings, the potential customers cannot believe she is truly stupid, instead they think she did/said something really clever that they don't understand, or that she has a really original view on the topic, and she saves the day. The contract is signed!
However, the writers didn't try to much on this one. The humor is weak, the jokes are barely laughable and somewhat inconsistent. For instance, we witness her using the computer, at least to find cat videos on the Internet, but later when they try to teach her data input, she doesn't know what a mouse is, or what "double clicking" means.
Not much happens, in general. In the final episode there is a small Easter Egg in my opinion, in which Takano is assimilated to the whole show: After Takano has already left, they begin to talk fondly about her, and seem to remember how fun she was, and how great it was to work with her... until someone says "In fact, she was not so great" and everybody agrees and they drop the praises. This is exactly how the whole show is. You don't remember much about it, only that you smiled expecting a great scene to follow, because it did have great potential, and then... the scene is "meh". There were very few memorable jokes or well-developed situations. With some exceptions of course, but I don't believe they were worth of my time.
There are many other characters who are interesting but, like the rest of the show, their relations are weakly developed, there is some promising story about everyone, but most stories seem not to go to the expected end, they simply dilute and they do not really reach a conclusion.
My verdict after watching dozens of Japanese shows: Takano has one of the weakest scripts. Everything else is very nice, the actors, the acting, the environment, the filming, etc... except for the script. As if the script writer quit right before the start of the filming, and they have to improvise on the spot.

The Perfect Healing Antidote
As a viewer who usually gravitates toward high-stakes narratives, intense angst, and volatile character dynamics, a soft romance is rarely at the top of my watchlist. I typically prefer stories where the tension is dialed up to ten and the stakes feel impossibly high. However, after recently finishing the emotional wreckage and high-intensity rollercoaster that was Double Helix, my soul was desperately crying out for a palate cleanser. Enter See Your Love. I didn’t expect a softer, more grounded show to grip me so entirely, but it turned out to be the absolute perfect, comforting healing drama to reset my emotional barometer. What makes See Your Love so spectacular is that it doesn’t rely on cheap misunderstandings or toxic miscommunications to drive its plot. Instead, it relies on the profound, quiet beauty of emotional safety. The narrative gives its audience room to breathe, replacing explosive external conflict with deep internal healing. It is a masterclass in how to write a romance that feels earned, tender, and deeply resonant without needing a chaotic universe collapsing around the main characters.
One of the absolute highlights of the series—and something that sets it apart from so many other titles in the BL genre—is the portrayal of the main character’s parents. In a genre where family dynamics are so often weaponized for artificial trauma or heartbreaking rejection, seeing a family offer 100% unconditional, unwavering support in every single way was incredibly moving. His parents weren't just background characters; they were a foundational sanctuary. Seeing that level of acceptance at home allowed the protagonist to navigate the world with a sense of security that is rarely depicted so beautifully on screen. It was a refreshing, deeply emotional element that elevated the entire show.
This baseline of familial love directly mirrors the core romance of the series. At its heart, See Your Love is an exploration of what it truly means to be seen. The chemistry between the leads thrives not on loud declarations, but on the quiet relief of authentic acceptance. It tracks the beautiful journey of a protagonist finding someone who could love him entirely for exactly who he was, flaws and all. There is an exquisite vulnerability in watching two people build a safe harbor together, proving that love doesn't need to be volatile to be passionate or captivating.
Ultimately, See Your Love is a stunning, beautifully executed drama that handles its characters with the utmost care. Ugh, it is just gorgeous. While it may lack the life-or-death stakes of my usual favorites, it replaces them with emotional stakes that feel just as vital. It is a gentle reminder of the power of unconditional love, both from family and from a partner. If you are recovering from a devastatingly heavy show or simply need a narrative that feels like a warm hug, this tender masterpiece is the ultimate antidote.

The chemistry was off the charts and the actor gave a stellar performance
Things I adored1 The ML. I've never seen apart for Hidden Love an actor play his part in such a natural way. If you ask me he must be one of the greatest actor out there and I've seen thousands of movies and series n my life. He's not only handsome, he embodies his role like no one else. It was such a joyful experience to see him fall in love, fall in despair and get back from hell. I haven't read the novel and I have no idea if the differences are big between the novel and the drama. What I do know is that his character is perfection. The right amount of rebellious attitude, the right amount of arrogance, of kindness, of everything. I don't know what else can one ask from a character. I'll follow his career and I hope he does many modern dramas and has a successful trajectory. He was just perfect in this drama.
2 The chemistry between the main couple. They were wonderful together. I'll rewatch for sure their romantic swooning moments and fortunately there were so many. He did a great job playing the head over heels for her guy and she matched his talent although I'll admit I think he was stellar and she was great. Some scenes were breathtaking. I cried, I laughed, I wished I could live such a relationship. The dancing scene was so absurd yet so moving. I can't get it out of my mind.
3 The song. It was one of the rare songs I listened to without ever get tired of it. Perfection.
Things I loved
1 The FL. She was a great character and not once I didn't get why she did what she did. She did what she had to do to survive and she thought she did the right thing when she left. I have no complaints about her character and the actress did a great job. It's my first drama with her and I loved her acting. I preferred her looks when she was an adult. I think she was more beautiful and I liked her aura more.
2 The grandmother. The actress did a good job and the relationship between the grandmother and the FL was beautiful. I wish she was there for a longer period.
3 The kisses. There weren't enough, but at least they were decent and they showed us that they had a mature believable relationship. I adored the way they were comfortable with each other, the teasing, the closeness, the gestures.
Things I liked
1 The 2ML. Unlike others I didn't dislike him. Yes he did something that cost our couple dearly but as the FL said, he didn't do it on purpose, and even if he did, who can blame him? he had a stupid mother and a horrible father and no one to lean on. The ML and the FL had at least each other. He literally had no one, so as an adult I get why he did what he did and he redeemed himself so I'm quite happy with his character development. I just wish he remained friends with the FL and built a relationship with the ML. My heart went to him when we last saw him. He was a lonely child who had to figure things out alone.
2 The second couple. I liked them but I didn't love them. Yes their arc was believable and realistic, but I was put off by the looks of the actor. I've seen him recently in my Little Happiness and he was my favorite character. Here he had a weird haircut and he seemed so awkward. In the high school years he was good, but then he was weird so I didn't care much about his arc. Anyway, I was happy they stayed friends with the main couple and I was happy they had their happy ending.
3 The aunt of the ML. I wish she had a bigger part and a closer relationship to her nephew. They probably were close but we didn't see that enough.
Things I disliked
1 The outfits. I read that many praised the way the FL was dressed but I thought she was awfully dressed most of the times. The outfits weren't a good fit for her and same goes for the ML. He had some good outfits but he had also some quite awful. Did I hate all of them? No, she had a few good ones and same goes for him, but all in all I can't say I liked the bad fitted items they wore. An example: the white dress and the awful flower. What the heck was that? There were others equally bad and even worse, but that is what came to mind right now.
2 That we didn't have enough episodes with them as adults. I'd like to see them more in their adult life. I didn't like that the forgive her period lasted so little. I wanted him to be distant and try to make her pay for longer. Somehow it felt rushed and not strong enough a reaction for what he went through. Yes, I get that he loved her, but I needed a better outcome. I wanted to see more of him keeping his distance even though I was craving for him to forgive her. Weird I know, but I needed more time with them dealing with their past.
Things I hated
1 The father of the ML. What can I say other than he should go to jail and have a terrible, horrible life from then on. What a despicable, horrible excuse of a father. No excuse for any of his actions. He deserved nothing than the worst. He didn't suffer enough if you ask me.
2 The mother of the FL. It's crazy that they tried to find her some excuses for abandoning her child. Do I think parents have sometimes to make hard decisions go give their children a better future? Absolutely and it's heartbreaking. Do I think this was the case here? Definitely not. It's not only what she did when the FL was a child. It was how she behaved when they met again. She was a horrible human being and I was happy she paid a price, albeit not big enough for me. Unlike others I didn't find the actress beautiful at all, but maybe that's because she did a great job to make me hate her and I could only see her as an ugly villain.
3 The grandfather. I'm not sure why they tried to sell him to us as a good person. He wasn't. He didn't care abut his grandson, he only cared about what he wanted for him. He had no reason whatsoever to behave he way he did with the FL and I blame him for his despicable son. I wasn't happy that the ML still had a close relationship with him. He shouldn't have forgiven him. Period.

A história está sendo leve e gostosa de acompanhar, com comédia na medida certa, sem forçado e nem enjoativo. Esther Yu sempre arrasa nas escolhas.Cet avis était-il utile?

A Familiar Xianxia That Is Easy to Walk Away From
This is a partial review covering episodes 1–18 only.I've been watching Chinese dramas for a really, really long time, and I've probably seen more than the average viewer. They've been a favorite pastime of mine and have helped me through some very stressful periods in my life. The downside is that, after a while, many dramas start to feel familiar, so the bar for what truly stands out becomes much higher. That's what happened with this one.
For me, it's an okay watch. It doesn't bring much that feels new and shares many similarities not only with Beauty of Resilience but with countless other xianxia dramas. It follows many of the genre's familiar themes—conflicts between immortals and demons, fated or forbidden romances, hidden identities, tribulations, misunderstandings, and the larger struggles that often shape these stories.
None of those elements are a problem on their own; they're actually the kinds of stories I usually enjoy. But this drama doesn't present them in a way that feels fresh or memorable to me, so I haven't really connected with it. I don't think it's a bad drama by any means. It just feels too familiar, and "just okay" isn't enough for me when there are so many other dramas I can spend my time watching.

Realistic Female-Centric, Slice of Life, Dual Timeline Journey
This show sucked me in from start to finish. It is a slice-of-life , female-centric drama that doesn't sugarcoat anything. The episodes feel full, and the pacing is excellent—it will absolutely keep you interested and hooked, even if the dual timeline jumps can feel a bit jarring at times. In the dual timelines, she stays in her hometown and continues the relationship with her boyfriend and in the other, she gets on the bus to Shanghai to start a new career and sees where city life takes her. We get to see both played out quite well, with a full story for each timeline. The Characters: Refreshingly Flawed
One of the best parts of this drama is the realism of the characters. There are no perfect "green flag" men or completely evil, bad people here—just deeply flawed human beings navigating real life. Some people watch dramas to escape reality, this definitely is not the case here! You will be deep in the trenches with her.
The Hometown Timeline: This seems to be the safe path. She has a boyfriend who is her childhood sweetheart. His parents accept her as theirs. In this timeline, she has a mother in law who operates as the toxic CEO of the family and her partner is a byproduct of this deeply enmeshed family ecosystem. It's not perfect but she is loved in their own way. She also has her own push-pull relationship with her mom that adds fuel to the fire. As the timeline continues, she navigates raising their child while trying to jump start her career. This path seems like a safe choice, but is it really what she wants?
The Shanghai Timeline (My Favorite): This path is a climb towards independence and empire-building. It is not without heartache and twists. We get an open ending with the male lead in this timeline, but I am thrilled that marriage was not shown as her happy ending. She gets to decide what place he'll take, if any, in her life. She navigates the grind of corporate life and learns that everyone has their own personal and professional agenda, and that she should take the time to figure out what exactly hers is. This path was super satisfying to see her growth, especially when she decides to take time to be on her own.
The Final Scene
The literal face-to-face meeting between both versions of herself was poignant. Neither version looks back with regret or plays the "what if" game. They are two mature women who have lived through life's ups and downs and toast each other to continue to find the best version of themselves in their own timeline. Isn't that what life's about? Asking "what if?" is futile, we can only look forward and refine who we are in the process.
Final Thoughts
It was never actually a story about choosing between two men, or choosing between the big city and the small town. It was about a woman realizing that she needs to be the anchor of her own life, no matter the coordinates. I will be thinking about this show for a very long time. I'll also put to rest any hesitation to watch this due to cheating! There's definitely misdirection in both timelines that come to light.

Premesse ingannevoli

OBSESSED!!!
This is the first drama this summer that had me in a real chokehold. The chemistry between the lead actors Zhou Keyu and Bao Shangen is absolutely electric, from their easy banter when they start (and re-start) as enemies, to the literal diabetes they exude during their sweet moments, to the heartbreak they convey when circumstances drive them apart. THE YEARNING is 100000/100 in this one. From their youth to adulthood there was never a moment I felt bored of their relationship and I felt that every plot device served to show us just how significant, impactful, and "destined" their love was. I truly believed they were made for each other. Often times I find it problematic when youthful (high school) love is portrayed so all-consuming that they'd willingly throw away their lives for each other (because it's just not realistic). I also would not think that someone can't possibly move on after a 10 year gap. But in this show, it not only makes sense, you can truly feel the magnitude of what they feel for each other. Zhou Keyu and Bao Shangen did an incredible job of bringing life to these characters.
Though the plot elements in the 2026 timeline could make a littleeeee more sense, i appreciated that they served to quickly bring our two leads back together (they know what we want hihihi).
Bottom line is, I'm OBSESSED. Never-ending summer has completely taken over my algorithm on all platforms and I'm not mad about it.
This is your sign to WATCH IT NOW! (and have tissues ready)

10/10 | Loved This Drama and Suggest You Watch It
10/10 | Loved This Drama and Suggest You Watch ItI love this melodrama and suggest that anyone who wants to watch it do so without reservation. I have watched this series several times on this platform and on other platforms and have reached the same conclusion: It is a well written romantic story.
The love story between the two main characters was sensitively and realistically portrayed by two veteran actors:
Jinyan Wu and Xuxiye Liu. The fact that he was a warring general was secondary to their love story. They were enemies who would become selfless friends, confidants and finally lovers. I cried many times throughout the series and do not doubt that several of you will do the same. Their love was idealistic, but very touching. Women wish for a man who would love them as the prince loved his woman. This series had Eternal Love vibes and thus was, in my opinion, a beautiful drama.
Kudos to everyone involved in this great production. My recommendation: Watch for yourself and draw your own conclusions; I will definitely watch it again.

1/10 A Beautiful Production Undone by Its Own Story
1/10 A Beautiful Production Undone by Its Own StoryThis drama had all the ingredients to become a memorable historical epic: gorgeous cinematography, impressive costumes, strong performances, and an emotionally charged premise. Unfortunately, the writing completely undermines everything it builds. As the story progresses, the characters begin making decisions that feel inconsistent with their motivations, making the final stretch more frustrating than tragic.
The biggest problem is that the emotional conflicts rely on choices that simply don’t feel believable. Characters abandon their own values, friendships, and responsibilities in ways that seem forced solely to create drama. Instead of delivering a satisfying conclusion, the ending raises more questions than answers, leaving important character arcs feeling incomplete and emotionally hollow.
It’s especially disappointing because the production quality remains consistently excellent throughout. The cast does everything they can with the material, but even great performances can’t fix a narrative that loses its internal logic. Rather than feeling moved, I was left wondering why so many events unfolded the way they did.
Despite its visual beauty and ambitious scope, the weak storytelling ultimately overshadows its strengths. A frustrating experience that never fulfills the promise of its first episodes. Sadly, this is an easy 1/10.

More like love at first sight
Thai gls are starting to lose me. Most of the shows I see only exist to show the lead actresses' chemistry and not to tell a story. The show is named enemies with benefits, the pilot trailer and the official trailer all alluded to the leads being enemies with benefits but they were nothing like that. This is more of a love at first sight/one-night-stand thing cause both Lal and Wine instantly like each other and act married immediately. They were not even enemies, Wine was just strict.
I went in expecting banter, them hating each other yet being drawn to each other, navigating personal and professional boundaries etc.......I got nothing. They don't even do justice to the thai title 'Lal doesn't like Wine' cause Lal is the one who is 100% into Wine from the beginning. Their back and forth in the initial episode was good and I was so sad it died down.
The dynamics are also lowkey boring, it feels very similar to 'hello is this luck'
The stars are for the last half of the show and Wine's characterization. Wine was a good character, all of her fears and her experiences making her the person she is today and her awareness of herself were all great.
Jan and Jinging were great even though they didn't have much to work with. Most of the show was just them being lovey dovey with each other. KapookCize were just there but its good to finally see them as a solid pair. The side characters were good too, actually felt like a found family.
Osts were amazing. I wish they put more effort into styling cause I feel like we were supposed to feel a change in Wine physically after she starts dating Lal but we can't see that cause the styling is so basic. Lal's hair colour changing every episode was pissing me off.
I like stories in the same universe so I will be seated for bake love feeling.
