The story is a typical melodrama with some comedy, cute moments, and the supernatural thrown in. I get why the drama was cut short. The story was going nowhere fast. Maybe it was a lack of chemistry, but the romance was lacking. I appreciate the writer's attempt to delve into the psyche of a person with a horrible or devastatingly sad childhood. I also enjoyed the dynamics of all of the father read more son relationships. I just didn't see the point of the supernatural aspect. The story was just so pointless. It wasn't horrible. It is just nothing special even with all the potential. Plus the ending sucks.

I would have dropped this f it weren't for Lee Dong Wook. He strangely made Hong Bin seem real to me. Through the bad writing and quirky character I could see the man with a warm heart that was so in pain that he made himself and those around him miserable to the point that he grew blades. It is an interesting concept. Too bad that is all it was.
OMG...Shin Se Kyung will just never get better. She had her cute moments as Se Dong, but they seemed forced and in the end she reverted back to that blank stare. I knew it going in. I only have myself to blame. It wasn't all her though. The writing of her selfless character isn't great either.
The other actors are fine, but nothing stands out.

The music is OK.

I will NEVER rewatch this.

I don't recommend this drama. It is mediocre at best. I only gave it a 7 because of Lee Dong Wook. I probably over ranked it.

I don't know how to write a preview without being spoiler :) so i wil try to make it short.
The leads here are not typical at all , so if you are looking for cool arrogant male lead or cute naive girl , you won't get it .both lead have a weekness points in their personality have to be recognized and fixed.the silence play a role in the drama was impressive read more , the superpower and the blades were metaphor and choice the lead has to make
I find the story simple ,but indirect
The direction , cinmatography and the music were awesome
Lee dong wook was perfect and his expression was wow
SSK was cute but sometimes i get annoyed by her stare gaze esp.her character needed more expression
Kim kap so was perfect too
The flaws, it has a slight slow pace , the supporting characters were needed to be more contributed . the first episode was over the top .over used of flash backs at the first
.enjoy it ,thanks

Leads have super powers, both are based at gaming companies. Both have quirky humor. Both have OTT violence. Watch for Lee Dong Wook.

If you liked Lee dong in blade man , you will definitely adore him in goblin. He has an awesome bromance with gong yoo in goblin.

What was Lee Dong Wook when he took this show?!

there's absolutely no need for the supernatural element. its totally wasted here. that should have been more of a metaphorical than literal. the show already had enough drama content. there's not much character development. acting wise Shin Se Kyung and Lee Mi Sook were good enough for me to finish it watching, a little disappointed with others. the Secretary did the job precisely.

i wanted it to be just psychological blades and not literally(now don't say they weren't real because we saw plenty of evidence stating blades were true).
claustrophobia(secret garden), alexia, or prickliness and inability to control his rage don't take any physical form in any of those dramas.
here it matters because so much time was wasted just to show he was enraged, part of which could've been spent on finding solutions.
his exquisite sense of smell- i just attributed it to the blades's side/counter-effect.there's a time when he's in his car going somewhere and he says 'Se Dong is in 1km radius' that kinda looked bad logically. but as far as the comiv approach it was hilarious.

That's why it's a metaphor, because the rage takes a physical shape of blades while following the same formula as other dramas and giving an impression that they differ substantially by means of giving each of them a specific gimmick.

'giving each of them a specific gimmick'? he doesn't have anything to do with those blades, no evil force to fight off or any means to use them for a good purpose.
so,what are you talking about? you know that the show had bad ratings, right?

Why would he have to use them for anything? And who to fight with? His father? It was never a superhero story.
And what have ratings to do with anything?

that's what i was saying that there was no need for the supernatural element. it was total waste.
tell me what you're talking about when you say 'giving each of them a specific gimmick'? i thought you were saying that it was done to attract variety of audiences and so I was reminding you that the show never grasped much ratings.

The best part of this drama is Han Jung Soo, especially his character in episode 11. The secretary is the best!!!!

How about it is about angry lee dong wook who has blades come out when angry, but that it don't expect much from the blade angle. Also the guy has a very sensitive sense of smell so becomes obsessed with a girl. Then there is a story about girlfriend from past coming back and he feels responsible because his dad did stuff in past. If it wasn't for lee dong wook I would have dropped it.

The blades played a shockingly small role in this drama, considering the title haha. They almost shouldn't have included them at all. Still, it was better than I thought it would be.

I expected something better and the premise sounded interesting. The beginning was okay but it dropped to suck really fast. First of all they should have cast a different actress.Shin Se Kyung has two expressions. The drama really went down the drain when the ex-girlfriend showed up. And that ending was so terrible. I was speechless at how terrible that ending was. I couldn't wait to delete this drama.

What...is this show? LOL I've only completed one episode and it's SO over the top! If Hong Bin were played by anyone else, other than Lee Dong Wook, I'm not sure I'd continue it. I have to see this delicious mess to the end!
