If you want more of Song Hye Kyo, she's great on this drama, acting wise... She has a great chemistry with Jo In sung, nice cinematography and story as well.... There's also "Full House" with Rain which is another cute rom-com..

it also has an interesting plot! The main leads are daebak and they are like the young historical version of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo . Park Bo Gum is playful and smart like Song Joong Ki and Kim Yoo Jung is intelligent and loves to help people like Song Hye Kyo in DOTS. LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT is HIGHLY recommended! You will regret nothing after watching this drama :)

Both are funny and have an action in them. It is a thriller type. The male lead is the same.
After a long time, the hero is back. If you want to check out Song Joong Ki performance in another work before watching Vincenzo, please consider checking this drama.

Both has medical trauma genre. Wake up focus more on politic, corruption weak administrative surrounding the hospital, while the doctors worked their heart out, whereas Descendent evolved the romance between military personal and the ER doc

In both, the cast a lot of international cast in one drama/movie. Both have military as a main plot point.

The tones are not similar, but both are good in their own right. DOTS has romance, and is light-hearted fun, bit with some serious moments. My Way is more darker and has a more realistic tone of war. No romance at all in the movie.

Both feature incredible chemistry with two leads whose romance is delayed and in fits and starts due to their professional ambitions as they cross paths and try to make it work over months (and maybe even years) . .

Whereas Descendents of the Sun also has a lot of adrenaline from taking place in rescue/war zones the feel of being on a journey with a couple you are absolutely cheering on and have gotten to know extremely well is very similar.

Has enough action and light suspense. Maybe not as much as Vagabond, but slightly similar. It is definitely a great show.

Very, very different. But I know that most Song Joong Ki fans became fans through this drama and might see him as a mediocre actor if he fails to succeed after DOTS, thus I am recommending a drama he did before DOTS which shows his capability as an actor.
The drama I'm showing is "Tree with Deep Roots". It is one of the first dramas where Song Joong Ki shows great acting. He appears on Episodes 1-4 + episode 8 or 9 (can't remember which of episode 8 or 9 he appeared). You can see how versatile his acting is.
I am not downplaying the other actors either. Han Suk Kyu is also someone who gave a really great performance as the adult version of the King Sejong played by Song Joong Ki. Jang Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung also gave great performances. The plot, while being only a fictional version of how Hangul is made, is a very plausible possibility on how Hangul is actually made. The characters are compelling.
The very few similarities they have is that, the many of the main characters, whether the possibility of being together with their loves is high or not, have rarely backed down on their principles and are always focusing on serving the people that they serve (except perhaps Jang Hyuk's character in the first few episodes of Tree with Deep Roots)

> Both dramas by writer Kim Eun Sook. I'm recommending two shows she did, both of which are of soldiers, but the feeling of the two dramas are quite opposite. DOTS is romcom and Mr Sunshine is more melo.
> Both lead males are soldiers.
> The male lead in DOTS and the female lead in Mr Sunshine are both characters fiercely determined to protect their country
> The second lead couple' actors in DOTS appeared in Mr Sunshine as parents of the female lead.
