There two dramas share very similar traits, such as; school based, a romance that starts badly but grows through out, sports and competition. I liked Sassy go go, however I felt like it was missing something that I definitely found in this TTBY. Also, attractive people in both (Just saying ;p).

They both give the same feeling. The relationship of the characters are also the same, building friendships and all. Both groups of friends did not get along at first but happened to be good friends after forming the cheerleading group in Cheer Up! and the Kirin Arts group in Dream High. Both are great dramas having strong friendship theme in its plot.

Both shows deal with scandal in the education system. This is even more scandalous than un Crash Course in romance as they show actual cheating in favor of the kids at school.

They both show parents perverting the system so that their children get better treatment

There is romance between teenagers as well as between adults.

I am not finished with Sassy Go Go, but the stories are about the main character(s) facing the harsh realities of life. Both dramas show things that other dramas like to sugarcoat (Ex: Lgtb, self-harm, economy problems, kidnapping, etc...). There are moments where you want to cry and there are moments that you can not help but to laugh; both dramas give you those emotions.

Both contain 2 groups of students conflicting with each other but forced to do a group dance together in order to not give the school/university a bad reputation.

I'm sure many people would disagree with this recommendation because the dramas are actually quite different, however, I watched Hit the Top directly after I had finished Sassy Go Go and I have to say that the dramas do compliment each other in various ways. I will try not to spoil the plots too much to either of the dramas.

SIMILARITIES:

• A general light-hearted tone that is easy to follow
• Still some conflict but not to an excessive amount
• The main couples are adorable and have good chemistry
• There isn't too much relationship drama between main couples to where you're slamming your head against a desk
• Lovely side characters with interesting stories too

I'd say that Hit the Top is slightly better than Sassy Go Go even though I greatly enjoyed both, simply because I absolutely adored the chemistry and development of the main couple much more in Hit the Top, as well as the plot and time travel theme.

Both dramas are absolutely fabulous, and I recommend them if you are looking for an easy watch, interesting characters and an absolutely beautiful cast :) x

- both don't sugarcoat real issues (e.g. self harm, corruption, suicide)
- both in a school setting
- the female lead's mum is the same in both (same supportive mum character XD)
- clubs that the school/ someone wants to get rid of really badly
- i really love both dramas <3
- sassy go go has more romance though
- honestly i just find the feel of it kinda similar (to me at least)

seonam girls' high school investigators is also really similar to these two dramas:
- real issues as well
- club facing rejection from the school
- school setting too
- tiny bit of romance?

this is real messy I'm sorry TT

they were in a group to save a room. They also have clashing personalities. They also have to win a competition.

Both are high school stories that revolve around school corruption, rich parents pressuring their students into attaining perfection, stress, violence, bullying, students with higher grades favored, power, status, etc

- First love theme
- FL can't keep calm in front of injustice
- ML that at the beginning won't care much for the others, but got caught wanting to
involve FL's issues
- ML start to change the way he face his family because of the FL
- ML treat problems more using logic than the FL
- The main couple trusts each other
- despite the protagonist have high grades he is not shown as perfect as the other idols dramas.

^-^

Both of them are fluffy and heartwarming. They are about love, friendship, self-love and fighting for values and believes. Both female leads are loyal to friends, kind and brave.
