My KDrama addiction started with City Hunter. It’s not a perfect drama but it has a good story, great action, humour and a cute romance. All the characters are likeable and they are well portrayed by all the actors. The pace of the drama is consistent and every episode is thoroughly entertaining. I would highly recommend this drama to anyone who wants more than just a rom-com.

This action-filled series was definitely all business. The reckless City Hunter left me awe-struck and wanting to be kidnapped and wishing he would rescue me.

Lee Min Ho playing devil-may-care-ass-kicking-casanova was enough not to scroll down the teaser and go straight on board the drama. I should know. I did.

With a pinch of romance, gorgeous fight scenes and definitive plot, City Hunter raised the bar to action drama set in modern read more times. The nifty plot left life lessons and each episode was done where the tussles did not exhaust the viewers but left them wanting for more.

It was leaning more on the masculine side so rose petals showers are not to be expected that much in here. But of course Lee Min Ho is still something to drool with and his performance was really plausible and stellar portraying a modern day justice server. Move over Avengers! *giggles

Directing and editing wise, this is one of those dramas which knew how to pull cliff hangers even to the finale episode where the hate-you-love-you character of Jin-pyo showed a befitting redemption. I really thought his dark heart will not be swayed otherwise and that finale scene sent me moping reminiscing Vader saving Luke when the remaining inconspicuous goodness in his heart reminded him that he was his son regardless.

The main character ensembles were so buffed making the story ever moving and exciting. I wonder how Nana bear and Yoon-sung turned real life lovers when the intimate scenes were not that much, so okay I’ll credit it to love. The show stopper “ajussi” and his online shopping addiction made me look like an occasional shopper. The other dark apprentice was also oozingly hot orchestrating ruckus for City Hunter. I liked that Kim Nana was also strong-willed and that he didn’t go to the usual sometimes mopey and always looking for a rescue lead woman.

Overall, this is a drama that will satisfy your cravings and your mind maunderings. It was exceptionally done and a must see Kdrama delight. -jediprincess ^_^

So clearly, Healer is way way better than City Hunter but if you saw City Hunter then you are in for a treat with Healer.

Both are about a masked man looking for revenge for their father. The Man in the Mask is more comical than City Hunter but both are worth watching.

I wish people would stop acting like Healer is a godsend to the viewing public, because although it was a good drama, it was jam-packed with cliches as much as the next drama. City Hunter is a little similar, but at least, I was more invested in the action. Healer is more romance based.

Well, to be honest, it's been a while since I've watched it. I vaguely remember I felt frustrated because of how lame I thought it to be, at the time. I knowmy word of choice isn't well thought, I'm basically hating on it, but the the fact that I managed to watch the whole thing till the ending means it must have been an okay drama. i just think it wasn't that worthwhile. Yhanks for your reply!

It's a well written drama even though it originally came from a Japanese Manga still they've manage to give us something unique and good. The casts are good , i just hate that they didn't focused more on the couple at the last episode.

Anyone know of any other good revenge type dramas? Already seen Healer, this one and Healer are both great drama's, so in love with our main lead female, her personality, wow... Don't want anything with a despicable and ludicrous love triangle, thanks...

I would suggest Cruel City, Innocent Man, Pinocchio and You're All Surrounded, although Innocent man is an entirely differnet type of reveng, as he's trying to take revenge on the woman who wronged him years ago. Pinocchio is also a little different because there's no action, the revenge has to do with ruining someone's repution, then completely destroying them through that. They're all quite entertaining dramas. Cruel City probably has the most action and suspense

everyone have their own preference, and for me city hunter is boring, it was too predictable, that's why I drop it.

@Nick I know LMH was already famous when he starred in City Hunter which drew alot of fans. It was boring for me because the story has no room for romance but the romance was awkwardly injected as soon as the main character arrives in U.S to begin his mission. Then they delve further into the realm of the cliche when LMH stands in front of a fountain, and look behold behind him is the girl of his 'destiny'. Forgive me for barfing, that was the moment I knew i will drop this drama but i kept going for 5 more episodes but the story just did not improve at all.

After watching Healer, and re-watch City Hunter, the first word that came to my mind was "boring". I mean, City Hunter is a very-well done drama, with an interesting plot and great actors, but Healer is above all of that without discussion.

@snow I'm the opposite. Healer was boring imo and city hunter was beyond entertaining. I just don't get what people see in Healer. I watched 7 episodes trying my best to like Healer but its draggy.
