I loved loved loved this drama!! It's definitely my favorite out of all the ones I've seen! I just... loved it!

Story: The story was really good and kinda different from the other dramas. Sure there were cliches but hey, which drama doesn't have them? And oddly enough, they don't bother me much in dramas. The story was pretty interesting and, despite there being small plot holes, over all it was really good.

Casting: Umm... well, this drama had Lee Min Ho in it. So even if it would've had the worst story line, camera work etc of all time, I would've watched it. For Mr Lee Min Ho. Because I love him. I love him so so much!

BUT, the other cast was really good too! The leading lady, Ms Son Ye Jin, did a great job! She was not afraid to make a fool of herself on-camera and she acted pretty well. Lee Min Ho is one of my favorite Korean actors. Not just because of his looks but also because of his acting skills. He's a great actor! Plus he knows how to kiss, which I think most Korean actors don't.

Characters: All the characters were great and the actors who played them did a great job! I liked Chang Ryul. I felt sorry for him. I could see that he had good in him but because of his father he turned kinda... bad. He was, in a way, innocent. I felt sorry for Kim In Hee too. She threw away her friendship because she was too selfish and didn't trust anyone. I loved Sang Jun! He was so funny! And I really liked Gae In's best friend's character too. She reminded me a lot of my best friend...

Romance: I loved the romance in this drama! It really felt like Jin Ho & Gae In were in love. You see, usually in Kdramas I just don't feel like the leads are actually in love with each other. But in this drama it really did feel like they loved it each other. The romance was really cute and well developed!

I don't really have much more to say about this drama... I loved it. The story was great. The characters were memorable. The romance was adorable. The underlying themes were well portrayed. So if you are in the mood for a good romantic comedy drama with a hot male lead and a pretty good story, I'd recommend Personal Taste.

well it kinda started really slow and progressed slowly till the last sections. this is my first drama with lee minho that i dint like his character. hes has soo much potential than this (cruel city/faith) sometimes i would get bored. its not something i would rewatch maybe the bed and joke scenes. in hee and hye mi were sooo annoying i just couldnt give this drama any more points. its a good story and the lead female was actually good and kept me interested. she's older than min ho well i guess its the second character with noonas with him (go min ho). director choi just dint do it for me, i mean i have no words to. and lastly chang ryul i liked coz i loved him in "i need romance". the story started getting crazy with reaction of kae in to the betrayal, her dumbness was too much. anyway its alright

I watched the trailer for this drama, and since it seemed interesting i thought of watching it.however,i was very disappointed.i mean, the begining seems a bit like a copy of FullHouse(2004) and the characters were quite dull. Gae In was just weird and she took being dirty to a whole new level.the story just kept dragging, and honestly,i saw no chemistry between the main leads.there were a few funny moments but apart from that the drama was quite boring.however, the music is really good, especially the song by Seeya.

The story was alright. It was better towards the end but around the middle it seemed a little boring and dragged on (it felt so, anyways). Overall, I enjoyed the story. The story of this kdrama is definitely to watch if you're looking for something not too heavy/heart wrenching. There are plenty of cute/funny moments and they were enjoyable to watch.
The acting of this kdrama was superb and definitely what stood out the most. Lee Minho seems to never fail me with his acting. Some people think otherwise with this actor but I honestly think he is a really good actor and he did well in this kdrama. Song Yejin portrayed her character well. She was honestly a fun character to watch, in my opinion. All the characters in this kdrama were really good and the supporting roles were very important. My favourite character is Director Choi. I got quite annoyed with In Hee and Sang Joon but that's okay.
I never really paid attention to the music until the last couple of episodes. I don't know why. But I realise, the music was not bad! The chosen music fit with the concept of the kdrama really well. I feel like there was one song that was repeated too many times but it's still a good song so I didn't mind too much.

The filming of this kdrama was a little off at times, I have to admit.. (e.g in one of the earlier episodes, I'm sure I saw a microphone in the filming view or something).
Overall, this korean drama was enjoyable to watch. I was in no rush to finish it because it wasn't too intense and not really many cliff hangers. Good to watch if you're looking for something calmer and sweeter :)

I wish the writer stubs their toe for every new watcher that has to witness this.

Mild spoiler!
I'm so mad at this show, for the middle part between episodes 4-12 it is quite likable, almost redeemable since the first 4 episodes are actually quite hard to get through. FL is sad throughout most of the show and doesn´t prioritize herself at all, and my understanding was that there was some personal growth here. Then it is completely shattered by the last 4 episodes.

The ML when they actually start getting serious is lovable half of the time and a jealous ass the rest. He then keeps on lying at every turn and acts entitled to walk in and out of FL´s life whenever he seems fitting. Also belittling her every time!
By the last two episodes, I was not voting for them to get together. ML does not deserve her.

For fans of Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ho only.

Full confession: I could sit and watch Son Ye Jin knit a sweater for 16 episodes and be happy as a clam, so having her in a starring role was more than enough for me to stick with this one to the end. But if you are looking for a great story, well told, you should probably pass on this one. It's strictly for fans of Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ho. The story is overloaded with cartoonish characters, over-the-top plot twists, and kdrama tropes. The creepy villain (played by Ahn Suk Hwan) and the evil ex-best friend (Wang Ji Hye) who won't go away were simply too much, as was the overly drawn-out (and unbelievable) case of mistaken "gay"-dentity. And plot holes? What happened to the loan sharks and the mortgage on the house from episode one?!! Still, it is a bit better than average kdrama starring two of Korea's most recognizable and bankable stars, which should be more than enough for the casual viewer.

What were they thinking?

I`ve watched this drama only once - and that was a chore all on its own. I feel like this drama was honestly helmed by amateur writers - in every sense of the word.
This drama is supposed to show two character developments happening at the same time and in the same place. Lee Mih-ho`s character is meant to put up a charade for a rather selfish reason, however he`s supposed to change along the way. Not the most creative plot line, but it`s honestly the best part of this mess. Lee Mih-ho`s acting can really be one-dimensional and hit-or-miss, but he`s without a doubt the best actor here, along with Ryoo Seung-Ryong. It`s just that he has no chemistry with Son Ye-jin. And it doesn`t help that her character is a complete doormat and above all, that she`s not convincing in this role. Her character`s development is supposed to be centered around letting go, taking your life by the horns and changing. Only that is presented so muddily, made even worse by her portrayal. I don`t get it. When I watch her act in this, it`s almost like she`s on the cusp of getting it, but is to afraid to put in more effort. The way her mother died also really cemented for me the level that this drama`s writers seem to be on. And I`m fully aware that sounded snobbish and underhanded but it still is true.

Which is made even more obvious when Yoon Eun-Hye makes a short cameo. Like, I`m not kidding when I say that this drama was my background noise and a chore to finish until I saw her for like ten minutes. She brought fresh air into this thing and I`m so sad that she`s not getting more roles.

Alas, that`s my personal preference. Cinematography is fine, like someone else mentioned, the wardrobe is REALLY questionable. Also, the sets got on my nerves really quick. I hate that I`m a stickler for these things, but I cannot stress enough how fake EACH SET LOOKED. It didn`t look perfect, it was downright jarring to look at. Even this is a really high score average for something this subpar.

I`m positive that this should`ve stayed in the vault, as I doubt that it`s anybody's personal taste at all.

I watched this in 2016 because I am late to the Lee Min Ho party. I decided to watch this because I needed something to fill in the space as I waited for new episodes of Legend of the Blue Sea, where I finally watched LMH for the very first time and realized why he has been so popular. (I still refuse to watch BOF though!)

This was obviously pretty dated by the time I watched it so some of the story just didn't move me that much since it had a lot of cliches. Jin Ho's noble idiocy just was pretty over the top, so that was a bit annoying. But the leads had incredible chemistry together and I looked forward to the scenes they had where they were bonding together. For me personally (my "personal taste" if you will...heh), it was a little too angsty for a show deemed a romantic comedy. The misunderstanding of Jin Ho being gay was played for a few laughs at first, but then started to cause real issues that affected others. Thankfully Jin Ho handled the situation with as much class and care as he could.
The back half of the story is where it started to get a little draggy and the evil 2nd female lead just had an uncanny knack for popping up just in time to either hear things that she shouldn't or to cause unnecessary trouble for the leads. That cliche wore a bit thin. Also Ahn Suk Hwan as Chang Ryul's dad --HOO BOY! If anything was too over the top in this show more than anything, it was his "villain laugh". Seriously, you have to hear it to believe it! It's like the most cartoon evil villain laugh you've ever heard, but one of the most annoying things in the whole show. (Please, Lord, make it stop!)

All in all, for a drama this dated, it was not a total waste of time. I enjoyed most of it, but I wouldn't rewatch it.

Weak heroine

LMH and SYJ are both very good in this series, but I had a hard time getting past what a doormat she was. I don't care for females that are so strong they are off-putting, but she was at the TOTAL other end of the scale! The "poor me" attitude was irritating. This drama went on a lot longer than I felt it should have. Also, the second lead couple were just evil and I hated the things they did. Some shows just don't age well either, whether due to the lack of production value or the storyline. Happy ending - cute proposal. They get high marks for good kissing scenes.

Honestly I enjoyed this much more than I expected. The development was really interesting as we started grew to learn more about our female lead and the house. I do wish we saw more of that and earlier rather than focusing so much on the second leads who were terrible and yet ended up…not really playing a large role in the last few episodes despite their meddling?

There were a lot of characters that annoyed me during this, but plot-wise it was pretty strong, aside from the bout of noble idiocy at the end, which I hated.

The topic of being gay was, for the most part, handled really well, and I was really surprised they had a great gay character — Director Choi might’ve been one of my favorite characters in this, though he made me so SAD.

Ahh... Personal Taste... where do I start?
The story was really interesting at the beginning. The minute I read the description, I thought to myself, 'A good looking straight guy pretending to be gay? Why not?' The show started off really well, with nice, refreshing humour. I haven't seen Son Ye Jin in too many dramas, but I found her acting really well done, and her character came out really cute. I really enjoyed Lee Min ho's acting as well.
If a show makes me ship the heroine and hero really quickly, I tend to stick until the end. The "villains" weren't exactly lovable, but that was easily over looked. For the first half, I mean.
After the sort of "climax" halfway through the show, I was expecting them to resolve the really small issues that were left (i.e Jin Ho's mother, the Dam Project thing, etc.) But of course the writers thought that that wasn't enough! This show could've ended at around 13-14 episodes, but they just decided to pile more problems on top of more problems. I'm not exactly a big fan of cliches, and this show took it too far. The two villains were like black smudges on a mirror. Just plain annoying. The little scenarios that In Hee came up with to separate the main couple were just stupid, and Chang Ryul just acted like some dumb puppy who listened to everything she said without having second thoughts about it, whilst acting like he "loved" Kae In more than anything. And don't even get me started with Na Hye Mi. I had to force myself to watch the show. In all honesty, it's actually on hold for me right now, because I really don't have the patience for them to resolve such petty problems in 4 entire episodes. This show just became homework for me, and I NEVER want to feel that way when watching something.

Still, I don't want to just spew hate all over this show. I really enjoyed the side characters Yeong Seon and Sang Joon. Especially Yeong Seon, she was my favourite character. She was probably the only character that didn't bother me. The drama between Jin Ho and Director Choi was really well done. I predicted Director Choi's... secret, I guess, pretty early, but it was still really entertaining when it was finally revealed. I'll also admit that Jin Ho and Kae In's little romance moments were really cute, and were probably the only reason why I've bared to watch this series.
I really loved the soundtrack. One of the songs were a bit overused, but the soundtrack was one of the things that I really liked about the show.
I don't think I'll ever re-watch this show. It's a good watch if you just want to watch it to take a break from another show, just watching a couple of episodes whenever you're bored.
Overall, I give this a 6. This show passes for me, but don't expect me to watch something like this in the future. I'm not blaming the actors, it's just that the writers decided to put a little "too much" drama into the show. I understand that this is a drama, but there's a still a limit, you know?

I really don't understand the low ratings for this Drama. To me this was my first Korean rom-com. I understand the flow was slow, and Ga In seemed a pushover, but that is what her character was all about. Her character's strength lies in the fact that she doesn't hold grudges and forgives everyone. Obviously she needed to grow some back bone, but she had always been empathetic to others. Her endearing and soft nature is what made people like.

I loved the "game over" kiss. That is one of the best ones I have seen in my K-drama watching history. I also eagerly waited for our hero to fall for our heroine. The wait did not disappoint me. I was rewarded with angst filled episodes and a "game-over" kiss.

The story could be argued to be weak. Why didn't Ga In further question Jin Ho about his motivations? Anyways Director Choi was my favourite. It is rare in dramas to portray someone like his character in such a mature light. Overall this drama gave me a really happy feeling for a long time.
