A lot has been said about this drama, there's not much that I can add.

The Story deserves a 10 because is a true story about a real girl who went through this, and the purpose of this drama was for people to know it, and really learn to appreciate life, and I think that it really does cause that. This one of the few dramas that are read more life-changing, that instead of making you laugh makes you think how lucky you are just for the fact that you can study, or walk, or even speak.

The acting was 10 also. I hate Sawajiri Erika, I think that she is one of the worst famous people aver, because she's careless and has a really bad reputation, but you can't deny that she made the performance of her life in this drama. She makes us completely understand the pain that Aya is going through and how she gradually loses control of her body. I also loved Ryo's performance and character, the parts where I cried the most were the parts where he cried. I also loved the family, I think they all acted completely according to their part, even though it was really challenging.

The music definitely 10. It completely moved you.

I've watched three times, and I don't really get bored, it's a completely moving story, I love it because it makes me feel lucky and thankful to God.

Overall a solid 10, one of the few dramas which REALLY deserve it, not because of its cast or music, but because it's a tribute to Aya

Because of this drama I am too gloomy, sad and my head hurts because I have cried a lot the last time I cried this much was after watching my sister's keeper oh and I think i am dehydrated too. Seriously re watch value zero because I don't think I can bare to watch it again.however I don't regret watching, it had some of the best acting I've seen in dramas. The story read more was simple yet so strong and moving its one you should watch. I really have nothing else except wow :(

Both very touching slice of life dramas about a terminal illness. Also very nice display how the families react.

they both have a similar disease (one that affects the motoric nerves). Slowly but surely everything will be taken away from them (to be able to walk, eat, talk, ...). Though there is no available cure, the 2 of them try to live there live the fullest instead of wallowing in despair.

Though the problems in these dramas are the same (sickness, love, friendship, family, work/school), they both have their unique storyline.

I was talking with my friends and they also took pictures of themselves crying while watching this series I shared mine and they were like omg I have a picture of me watching this too. The tears on my pillow on the day I watched this were endless. You know that feeling when your crying and your through closes while your crying and you cry more because you are having trouble breathing that is the feeling I got at the end of this drama. If you are sick of weak female leads in drama or sick of the typical drama feel this drama will wash that feeling away. There is soo much to take from this one drama.
This drama is bittersweet, its very sad but that is life and to be honest this drama made me appreciate life, love, family, education, equality, hospitals more then I did before.
I found a video on you tube which led me to watch the drama version on gooddrama.net
I hear the movie version is good too haven't watched it yet but the series really captivates the story well.

I don't like sad dramas or books/dramas with a sad ending. This drama has such a high rating though...should I watch this? opinions?

You've need, it's different from all sad drama or movie that I've watched. This is the real fight of a girl against her illness, with courage and hope. This drama make you learn about life, and after watch it you'll see the world in another way. It's amazing, I can't say how much beautiful it's it <3
