Both historical romance dramas by the same writer. But Faith involves time-travel.

Very similar in all aspects:
- Goryeo under Yuan rule
- Yuan Prince/King
- Love rivalry between 2 male leads
- Physically strong female lead that gradually becomes entangled in romance and politics
- Serious plot

    (pardon my english is bad)
its worth trying. dont mind d low rating, theres 2 idol-actor here. so forget that mindset.
the king loves is d title. not he kings girl. so dont ship any of them too hard or u will get hurt instead. almost every episode looks like a climax & sometimes sweet. its not ur typical sweet girl exist from every historical drama. d love puzzle play from d girl MC probably request by d writer&director itself so dont b too harsh. either way, lets appreciate their hardwork&talent. other than love prob, d plot itself is unpredictable. if its me, i would make d story more tangle&full of action but then u wont get to appreciate d family, friends&love skinship. d chemistry between character is good, nothing awkward(its very important to me more than worse plot eventhou ive bias)

With every episode, I am increasingly impressed with Shiwan's acting ability.

I just finished watching Queen for seven days AND i need a drama to watch cause that drama literally left such a big impact on me. It was so good so i want to give this drama a try. But i read from articles that it had low reviews? ☹️

I'd say you should definitely give it a try! I just started it last week and I'm hooked, got all caught up with the 20 episodes that are currently out today. I'm not really sure why it's not getting as much attention as it deserves, practically everything is executed perfectly.

I love how complex all of the characters are, the relationships that they have with one another, the cinematography is absolutely breathtaking, and there are so many scenes that I have to rewatch (already). Also, the chemistry between the three leads is just amazing. I ship Rinsan and ugh, they are already becoming one of my favourite pairings ever. At the same time, the bromance between Won and Rin is just beautiful.

Another thing I really like about this drama is how unpredictable it is, and for that reason I think it's worth a try. Honestly, it leaves me with awake at night with so many questions.

I'm currently watching Queen for Seven Days as well and I love both, although if I had to choose which one I like better, I think I would even choose TKIL (for now - even if we're only halfway through). But really, both are absolutely heart-wrenching. Although I just finished ep 20 like a couple hours ago, the wait for tomorrow's episode feels too long.

So yes, even if you read articles about the bad reviews, I would suggest you give it a try yourself and see how you like it. :-)

I'd definitely try this. It pulls you in within the first couple eps and there's a good level of angst and passion in this, although not as much as in Qfor7D's at this juncture in the show at least. I am on ep 22. Nothing beats some of those sexy husky-voiced scenes with Yeon Woo Jin. Or the complex acting of Lee Dong Gun.

We're only half way through the drama but the past few episodes feel a lot like finale episodes so I'm really excited to see how the plot will continue although I'm a little nervous that it won't be as good as the start considering there are still 10 episodes to fill (20x30 min episodes)

Once in a blue moon we've got a true love triangle without an endgame set in stone and the show's getting so much flak for being exactly what it had promised. It's named The King in Love not The King Gets The Girl. The poster reflects a current situation very well.
So here's an idea. Why not enjoy the process instead of waiting to confirm an expected solution? Because the process itself is only getting more tangled and nuanced episode after episode, with pro-active, motivated characters playing their games and adjusting to others.

Hello people! I have a question. I've been feeling empty since Queen for Seven Days ended. Will this drama give me similar feels (excitement, heart-wrench etc.)? I do not need it to surpass Queen for Seven Days because that show was phenomenal and one of a kind but this emptiness is just sad and I need a show to make me feel whole again. Sorry and thank you!

yea it will.. in every single episode..if you havent started it yet then for sure it will give you the pain of a love triangle,a strong friendship,a son without parental love struggling hard to protect his loved once.. but where the difference lies?everyone know everyone's feeling but they dont force their feeling on other rather they appreciate others feeling.. and of course the female lead is much more stronger than chey kyung.. but yea of course the end will leave a emptiness in your heart..as it wont be a perfect happiness for any one..

I think I am officially growing tired of this triangle, and I hope something progresses next week to keep my interest. She's been giving them the same "shocked" look when either shows interest for 20 episodes now... maybe that's the extent of Yoona's acting, but It's getting old.

I'm still team Won, but maybe he should end up with Rin instead.

I think the drama isn't about the typical triangle love but more the relationship of 3 friends hence the title The Kings loves. He loves both Rin and Eun San. So who Eun San ends with is not the focus. As for Yoona's acting, I actually think it's really good but I guess everyone sees things differently. I highly recommend you watch Manhole maybe more simple and straightforward genre for you.

I don't mind complicated if it's done well. It's a pretty standard format for a love triangle anyway. Maybe after watching Empress ki, and Queen for 7 Days, the premise and performances just feel a little weak in comparison, especially Yoona. I'm still interested enough to give it a chance, but they are definitely playing off of a love triangle as much as they are playing off of their friendship. Without the love triangle there is literally no story, so who she's with and who she wants to be with is a huge part of what will push the story forward. Looking shocked and tearing up for 20 more episodes isn't gonna cut it, so I'm hoping the next episodes at least push this plot forward.

Agreed. And I flip flop just as much. I kind of want to settle down with who I want to cheer on, I'm just not there yet. I know this much, i don't want to choose Rin because I am feeling sorry for him.
