I think the intent with this show was to repeat the success of (the phenomenal)"Another Oh Haeyoung". The script has many underlying similarities, the director & the production company are the same, many of the cast members appear in both. It feels that they really had the recipe for success. Unfortunately the writing really flopped in this one. I'm of the minority that really liked the first 4 episodes. It was unique, a bit dark, but still funny enough, I was fine with the pushy, revenge hungry main FL. Then they took a week off for rewrites & in episode 6 they made major adjustments to everything, they gave actress Park Hyesoo a total makeover both in looks and personality and they tried to change the tone of the entire show, to make it fundamentally different. Following that over the course of the show there were many times when I felt that the writer made adjustments to a character's back story, or personality. Essentially there was no organic character development, but rather experimenting with throwing stuff at the wall, trying to see what sticks. The entire show only had one minor plot twist and I did not like it very much either.

Despite the bad writing it's still a good show. I loved almost all the acting performances, the main pair and the supporting cast were awesome.(especially Yun Jung) The cinematography is truly excellent, the cinematographer is probably the same as in Oh Haeyoung. The OST is very good too, especially in the earlier episodes. If I look at MyDramalist ratings I feel that there are many shows in the 8.2-8.4 range that are significantly less fun than this one, that's why I gave it 8.5 stars.

Even an Introvert Wants Only to be Loved and to be Understood

Unexpectedly delightful. When I started watching this, I am not even familiar with both the female and male lead on this Korean drama but I gave it a try since it was recommended by one of the articles written in Drama list.

I must say I was all giggles and laughter. Although the inner plot of this series is somehow relevant to what is happening in a lot of countries, not only in South Korea, United States but even in third world countries like the Philippines. This is a must watch indeed tackling on issues on depression, suicide, inflicting pain to oneself when stressed or faced with inevitable ordeals. On the lighter note, this series also teaches us about love, acceptance and understanding — with much depth than the mere word itself.

Our Leads. Yeon Woo Jin, who played Eun Hwan Ki , CEO of a big PR company did an outstanding job portraying as an introvert with inferior complex plus overly (in the superlative sense) obsessive-compulsive disorder behaviour. He completes his ensemble with a black hoodie as he doesn’t want to speak to people much more give out speeches and presentations, a much required task considering the nature of his company. In contrast, our female lead Chae Ro Woon played by Park Hye Soo considers these traits as his strengths rather than his weakness. She applied to the company with one goal only — REVENGE and avenge her sister who committed suicide and was wronged by Eun Hwan Ki’s family and company. She didn’t expect to find love along the way and to be loved by someone unexpectedly as well.

POWERFUL SCENE. When Eun Hwan Ki gave a presentation, I had a hard time looking at him ... so pitiful ... and it made me cringe and I was really waiting for him to overcome it .. but I guess it isn’t easy at all considering he haven’t done anything like this before. In all of this he silently suffered. His indifference was misunderstood continuously by people surrounding him including his family. What comforted him is his sister and friend ( co-CEO of the company as well). Although at the beginning , I doubted his friend and his intentions were.

I watched this series with much delight and laughter but not with a heavy heart in spite of the plot and storyline. I highly recommend you watching this as well.

I was really looking forward to this drama and did enjoy it for a while but I found it quite average.

The story was pretty good with a couple of twists and did make me laugh with just the difference of personalities in the leads. The female lead was great but I found that the Eun Hwan Ki had a lot of goofy personality traits, obviously designed to show how introverted he was. As an introvert myself I found some of his traits funny but others almost offended me in its portrayal. I guess its called drama for a reason though.

Overall I thought it was a nice average drama with a cutesy heartwarming feel despite the tragic events.

Worst K-Drama I Watched

Trigger warning: SA

The preview and concept sounded like it had the potential to be a cute romantic comedy. However, that was just not the case. The female lead's sister committed suicide suddenly without any signs... only for us to find out that the male lead's best friend took advantage of her (it's heavily implied that he raped her). In addition to this, the male lead's sister is manipulative, which includes self-harming herself in front of others.

There are a lot of uncomfortable moments, and terrible characters do not suffer consequences for their actions at all. The K-Drama gave everyone but the deceased innocent sister a happy ending. Additionally, sometimes, the story felt so inconsistent, as if the writers changed their minds during the series.

...

the production was good, I can't complain .
I also say that the performance was incredible, it would be a sin if I complained.

I love the actors, I loved the characters.

Of course, not everything is perfect, I can't lie, but what a drama that doesn't have a single flaw.

So in conclusion, I recommend...

I say it's worth watching, maybe it's bad for some, but for me it was good.

This is just my opinion, you better watch it and have your own opinion.

I don't know what to say, because I think everyone has their own opinion.

Let me start off by saying I didn't expect to love this drama the way that I did. It took awhile for it to really intrigue me. Like most people have mentioned, it wasn't until after the first few episodes where I found myself more invested in the story. Though I did enjoy the first few couple episodes despite some of the second hand embarrassment. But after recently watching the writer's previous drama, Marriage, Not Dating, I can see that's totally her style. lol

I found myself relating a lot to Eun Hwan Gi because I myself am a shy, introverted person. This is drama land so of course there's going to be some over exaggeration, but his inner monologues, having trouble speaking in front of large groups of people, avoiding social interaction, being able to notice small details, preferring to be by himself...that's what being an introvert person is. There may be some social anxiety mixed in his introverted personality as well which does happen. As for the black hoodie, they gave a reason as to why he started to wear it. So when you watch this drama, I wouldn't take the title too literally, but it makes sense why that's the title.

This is rare in dramas, but I pretty much liked every character. The cast had great chemistry and it was really fun and enjoyable to watch. The two leads were especially adorable to watch onscreen. They played off each other well. Opposites totally attract in this drama. Btw, I understand not all extroverted people come across as loud and annoying as Chae Ro Woon sometimes did, just as all introverted people are not all like Hwan Gi, but when you pair the two together, it kind of makes sense that you would see that play out a lot like how it did in this drama.

In spite of all this, I didn't particularly like a certain storyline. I felt like it wasn't a good enough reason to justify a certain someone's action. I think this drama was meant to be 20 episodes, so maybe when they did the rewrite it kind of screwed that part up a bit? But overall, I did enjoy this drama a lot and totally recommend it.

Also, the OST is 10/10! It's hard not to fall in love with every song you hear play throughout it.

I actually like this drama because how different it was compared to the other CEO dramas. Like the other ones had the same story lines you know the whole rich CEO douchebag who only cares about himself and the worker who tries to keep to herself and not draw as much attention to her. The rich CEO falls for her and tries to shower her with things blah blah blah or she falls in love first and tries to fix herself up for him blah blah blah. Yeah the roles are reverse in this one and I love it. The CEO is the shy one in this drama and the girl is extremely out going. They both have their reasons for wanting to get closer to one another but it gets tricky when your shy CEO is always running away lol All in all it's a very funny and cute drama to watch in between your serious ones or just in general.

Funny, emotional, quirky… all in one

After watching the flop of Only for Love, I wanted to see something different… not historical… and came across this one…
And what a difference! I was interested since the beginning..
This is a story about ACCEPTANCE… to others and to yourself…
I found it eye opener and powerful.

Eun Hwan Ki…. Has so many layers… basically more yhan meet the eye…. Kudos to Yeon Woo Jin… he did a very god job portraying the anxiety and frustration of not being able to express yourself, not being heard… I stayed glued to the screen really hoping for his happiness…
It broke my heart how he was treated by his father.. always compared to others, belittled… of course it was bound to happen to become closed off and alone…
How smartly he matched every team member to the right assignment to take them out of their comfort zone but in a good way… that is true leadership in the workplace… kudos to the writers for that!

He has so much to give… jeez… got me crying every episode…

Now, Chae Ro Woon.. is exactly what I expected.. too loud, too pushy, too much… I liked that the writers shifted her towards a more understanding, even emotional intelligent side… still sparky but with more essence and not only noise…
How the drama with the sister broke her life… that is so true…. The ones that are left behind are the ones that pay the price… even years after.
I liked her direct approach…. It was the ying to Hwan Ki’s yang….
(I find her different than other actresses…. I like her)

Quite a lot of funny moments… balancing the seriousness of the drama quite nicely..

Would I watch it again? Yes

More importantly and unexpected…. Got me thinking differently about whats going on inside the mind of an introvert…

Started out kinda cute as usual the it got cheesy. Kang woo il has an entitled kinda acting. Like hes the same from begining to end. U dint see charater growth. The main guy on the other hand is hilarious with his shyness and talking in his head alot. Hes good he carried the whole show coz he stayed in character. Chae roo woon on the other hand is great too but not as her boarding school character. She and some other characters had the cheesy cliche moments. They added unnecessary story lines just to get to16 episodes. Anyways its a cool show

I'll keep it brief. Any show that tries to redeem a rapist is unworthy of being watched. Period.

The headline pretty much says it all. I feel so bad for the male and female leads. Despite crappy writing, there is something special between them. From what I understand, the writing team went through a transition halfway through filming. What we ended up getting was an even bigger mess. As an American, I can understand that the redemption process is different in every culture. However, rape and rapists, are universal subjects that aren't allowed legroom to overlook. The writing team tries its best to redeem the second male lead, which might be the worse written character I've seen in a decade. If you're an anti-feminist who believes in redemption no matter the sin, this might just be right up your alley though. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.
