My brother watched the first 2 episodes and he was like "How are they not together?". This question says a lot about the whole drama from the chemistry between the two leads to the whole plot. It was so realistic, cute and fun. Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won were just perfect together that I wish they'd be the next real life couple but of course with his enlistment, that'd be w bit out of the picture for now. Ko Dong Man's character as much as many people would think he's naïve I really thought he had so much depth to him and a determination that's really hard to find nowadays. Choi Ae Ra as well has that determination and I really liked that. The second leads' story was one of the most interesting side stories I've watched so far. I really loved them together and they broke my heart which is something that never happened to me with a side story and that proves how amazing it was. The OST too suited it really well and that made it even better. This will be one of the best dramas I've watched and I hope that Seo Joon would come back with an even stronger role.

I love this series as it didn't need to be any longer than it already is. The story line moved along nicely and didn't need the fillers that normally come with some of the ones I've already watched. Not quite sure why the rating will cause some of the previews to be cut out but some of the scenes are very tame.
It's a unique story that explored the relationships and personal struggles that accompany the 4 main characters and how they conquered and overcome those struggles.
I've laughed at some of the scenes but I wished that sometimes the translations would come out faster so I can read and watch at the same time.
The 2 main characters were beautifully played by Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won. Love blooms in the most unexpected way when you've known each other from a young age and have never really looked at the friend at their side.
It's a lovely friendship that most kids nowadays don't get to have.

Fight For My Way has probably been the most enjoyable drama I've seen so far this year.
The story is refreshing, relatable, and fun all the way. The characters are fantastic, the leads have great chemistry, and the stories told are real to those in their 20s out there. Each character captivated and moved me in their own ways with a good balance of well-paced storytelling and depiction of reality. Dong Man and Ae Ra are lovable and goofy, Sul Hee is a strong fan favorite, Joo Man is a character that can be both liked and disliked for the same reason: he's incredibly flawed like ourselves, and Hye Ran is a character with surprisingly good development.
When I was watching the stories unfold, I didn't get the typical drama tropes I was expecting. Instead, I got all too familiar stories I've heard and experienced before. None of the drama in this show is outrageous or melodramatic because it happens in real life so often. No story spoilers here, but I will say that this show sticks true to being a slice of life in its own unique way.
The music is really good- both in composition and lyrics. The tunes capture the moods quite well, and the lyrics of the first OST really encapsulate the feel of this drama.
It's great to rewatch as a light romcom, and overall, it's incredibly enjoyable. Highly recommend.

This drama centers around four friends with different careers but different aspirations and their journey to fighting for what they want to do. This drama was filled with humor it really amused me and I really enjoyed it. I loved the chemistry of the two main and supporting characters. it brought a whole new feel of a goofy but loving set of couples. I really like the story line and the hidden mysteries in every episode it brought color and more life to the drama. Every role was thought out and executed well. Park Seo Joon was amazing yet again. Overall I really had a great time watching this drama. Watch it !

Awkwardness + comedy + romance

Very refreshing and awkwardly comedy with lots of awkward romance😂. I thought nothing can beat "Something About 1 Percent" (first kdrama I watched, the one I watched before this one), but this one proved me wrong. You will definitely fall in love with some of the characters, especially main characters. They both have their own uniqueness and unique relationship which gave this drama special place in my heart. I think first episode was bit boring, but that's because you are not used to characters personality yet, later on when you realize that and as the story progress it suddenly grabs you into it. I finished watching it in 2 days, and it doesn't usually happens when I watch dramas, so this one holds special place at my heart.

This was such a feel good show i rnjoyes every bit of it. The leading and second actors were all fantastic i enjoyed how different their roles meshed together. Kim ji won has always been the scary ex girlfriend in most shows including heirs. I dont think ive ever seen her smile. This is the first shes been the lead in a romance comedy. It was refreshing seeing her being poor and relaxed lol!!. Dong man on the other hand is upcoming and hes got some body. Seol hee fit this role so perfectly with her innocence just like in sweden laundry. Lastly joo man was also perfect in keeping his composure thru highs and lows poverty and riches. Anyways a great fun show

Friends-to-Lovers Perfection

Fight For My Way snuck into my heart from the moment I started watching. I loved almost every element of this contemporary romance.

❤ Be still my heart - Ko Dong Man and Choi Ae Ra had the best friends-to-lovers story I've seen in a long time. Their connection on screen was immediate, and their adorable confusion as their feelings deepened for each other was utterly unforgettable. Whenever they were on the screen, I could not take my eyes off them.

❤ I have a new girl crush, and her name is Ae Ra (and actress Kim Ji Won). I loved how all of the people in her life, including the hard core martial artists, cowered before her. She had some memorable moments of escalating situations or pushing characters who she felt were threatening herself or her loved ones. I want to be her new best friend!

❤ If anything, this showed just how versatile Park Seo Joon is as an actor. It was like watching a different person act compared to his performance in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. I think my preference caters to his himbo version rather than the sophisticated businessman, but only by a margin. He played Ko Dong Man so earnestly with the perfect touches of confusion, vulnerability, and determination.

❤ The story did an excellent job of showing two different types of relationship dynamics. You have the two main leads moving from friends to lovers. On the other spectrum, you have the second leads going through a rough patch during their six year relationship. As a string unraveled for one couple, another string would bring together the other couple.

❤ The discussion about dreams versus reality, especially in their twenties, felt so relatable. I understood completely their drive and passion for their dreams, yet their weariness and somewhat acceptance of their circumstances.

could’ve been better

this drama could’ve been so much better. yes it is a very simple drama so i understand the history being a little bad and some inconsistencies here and there. acting wise, this is definitely the worst of seojoon and jiwon. he’s very annoying in this and extremely possessive for no reason at all and let’s not forget he’s like 30 (in the drama). jiwon’s character is also annoying especially bc she does not support her bf in anything like ???

the extras deserve an award esp Jaehong bc he was SOO good in this it’s actually amazing. also im sorry but sul-hee was mad annoying and i feel like they focused a bit too much on their stories which tbh i didn’t really care.

the last 2 episodes were so disappointing… i feel like i wasted my time watching it

A Great One to Store in Your Collection

This one is truly refreshing and has a emotional touch to it, it will not be all lovey dovey that you expect from a Korean series, but it captures all human emotions quite well, you got to give it to the lead actress and her performance it was quite brilliant and the male lead was not bad either but for me it was the female lead wit her cute expressions and her way of dealing is quite hilarious and the leads have a great chemistry as well, you can surely rewatch it after sometime and you went get bored so highly recommended.

A very engaging drama with depth that moves you to tears.

Ae Ra & Dong Man: They started out strong. Loved the way the progressed. So damn adorable both of them. Coming to the one major conflict they had. When I first watched the drama, I was always upset with Ae Ra. Can you imagine being happy with a partner when you are asked to give up such a big part of who they are? Had Dong Man given up on fighting, he would have resented her and that in itself would have destroyed there relationship. At the time, I was so mad at her that forgot the Doctor's diagnoses and how he said that Dong Man might be unable to hear if he is hit in the same place again.
During my second watch, I could put myself in Ae Ra's shoes. How would I feel if my partner who is at risk of going deaf insists that he continue fighting? She was the one who took care of him, when he thought he had lost his hearing and saw him be miserable. Since something that traumatic happened to him, he was very uncommunicative during the time, as was his right. What's worse is that she was already worried about the fight between him and Tak Soo. So, that definitely put her off the edge.
That doesn't mean she had the right to give him such an ultimatum. Apart from that one aspect, they were good to each other and for each other. I'm glad that they were able to work through it, even though it took Ae Ra some time.

Joo Man & Sol Hee: I see a lot of people going out of their way defending Joo Man for not being able to handle the love & support that many people can only dream of having. That's something I won't praise him for. He wasn't all wrong though. He was rational and tried to tell Sol Hee numerous times that she should look after herself more, but she wasn't listening. But still, they both had such a big communication issue. Even though he was rational, he failed to realize that Sol Hee didn't want to live in a big house. It was something that he decided on his own. She just wanted to be married to him, no matter where they lived. One thing that bothered me about Joo Man is the lack of effort, he could have cared for her the way she did for him, maybe not to the extremes but just a little. If he thought that she was saving up & not getting anything for herself, he could have treated her to things long time ago, way before things went so wrong and he tried to get her that pink dress just because she was an embarrassment to him. The thing with the intern was so ridiculous, he led her on because she reminded him of Sol Hee when she was young. My heart goes out to Sol Hee a bit, had she been with someone like Dong Man, she would have been cherished. What I do not like about her character is that she let too many things slide. She was obsessed with loving Joo Man and he couldn't do anything wrong. She was also willing to overlook things, like when he lied about meeting the intern. They just weren't a right fit for each other. I didn't want them to end up with each other. But sadly they did. Many people would say that this is the way of real relationships, however that's an excuse for not putting enough efforts into your relationship. Not accepting that its possible to beat that low-effort cycle is just as naive as assuming that life is all unicorn and rainbows.

Final note, all actors did a wonderful job portraying their characters.

absolutely LOVELY!!!

this drama has everything: friendship, romance, coming of age, struggle, heart breaking story and comedic moments.
the characters are all endearing in their way . they struggle but are able to overcome their hardships in the end.
this drama depicts people's dream in a very realistic way, not presented through pink lenses.
the main male character had to sacrifice his entire future because of his family circumstances but is able to get some "revenge" at the end.
the female leader has her struggles as well when it comes to fulfilling one's dream of success.
she is the very protagonist when it come to perform "aegyou". I discovered that these scenes are very popular among drama lovers and rightfully so.
the other couple shows us a relatable picture of what having a long term story can mean and the misunderstanding that sometimes happen between people who love each other.
the theme song "fight my way" is a banger I cannot stop singing it.

I laughed, I cried, basically I couldn't ask for more.
I really recommend it.

“Wecare not siblings.”

“What is it to you if I cook him ramyeon or a meal with 18 side dishes?”

“Nobody can beat someone who’s having fun.”

As the show goes on, itbecomes clear that the girls suck at life and the boys are good atwhat they do and get praised. The girls get chewed up and spat out.

Ko Dong Man – male lead
I’m a Park Seo Jun fan. Hischaracter in this show is...loud. And kind of a country hickKorean-style.
His acting is always sonatural.

“Is this what they callsexy? I look like a 90s office worker.”

Seo Jun is actually really soamazing. I really believed he was this awkward, gangly, impatientman-child.

I love Dong Man’s softheart.
“You’re, you’re notreally crying are you?”
“Pat me. Go ahead.”

And Dong Man as a kid is justgold.

Ae Ra – female lead

Ae Ra is a bit of a nagginghousewife. She does view Dong Man as more than a friend. But I likehow she’s so fierce and scary but she also is very vulnerable andsoft-hearted and doesn’t mind admitting it.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I liked all the characters andthe side plots. That’s really rare for me.

Coach: “I’m more afraid ofAe Ra than any woman in the world.”

Landlady: Hey, 102, fighting!
Dong Man: What did she say?
Joo Man: I think she justcursed at you

Joo Man and Sul Hee give the drama a great feel of relationship exploration. I love it when shows think past the HEA.

“Sul Hee was like the vast ocean.”

I like the way they paint Sul Hee’s character. Of this never ending giving loving person but so annoyingly weak. She’s a typical useless kind of girl but she’sso nice and warm you feel happy in her company. I loved the dramatic part of her relationship with Joo Man and what a calm and great person she was.

PARENTS
The parents dynamic in thisshow is really good. In a way it’s nothing new but the show just does it so darn well. The main characters become like children againaround their parents but they’re striving to prove themselves. And the parents really show how well they know their children even though sometimes it looks like they’re estranged. The relationship between Sul Hee and her mother, Joo Man and his mum, Ae Ra and her dad.
Dong Man’s relationship withhis father was so typical and familiar. A dad who doesn’t know howto say what he wants to say so it just comes out as criticism andinstruction. I actually really liked this segment because it was soclose to home.

ROMANCE

“I can’t take all the burden for you but I’ll take 2 out of 3 bullets for you.”

Dong Man and Ae Ra are like siblings. They fight squabble, and cry.

“Only the microphone moron can awake the sleeping Hulk.”

I really like that Ae Ra know show Dong Man reacts to anyone messing with her. She fears for her adversaries when Dong Man shows up.

“You can’t even look after yourself yet you’re always trying to defend others.”
