Both are about eccentric teachers who help bring hope to children who have lost all hope. Akahan no Sensei is more realistic in it's approach, where though the teacher excited, he lives in a very real world. so nothing is sugar coated.

Both shows about those who haven't found there places yet- often looked upon badly because of their appearance or pasts..

Both have a female protagonist who is kind and believe in order and the police...
But when the push comes to shove.. she fights with her bare hands .. she enjoys her quiet life.. she enjoys her fights too...
Her image of a small, quiet female make her opponents understimate her.

She can be very naive at times.. and very perceptive about her fight surroundings and opponents.

She hates injustice..

They are basically about a teacher that is in charge of a class that has no discipline. the teacher is able to connect and help out in the students lives and motivate them to study and think of their future.
a plus both teachers are really good fighters and end up getting into fights, which gives it some interesting content to follow.

Both are dramas about teachers protecting students from adults and the scary world that's trying to take advantage of them.

The two dramas share the same type of comedy, with the hero(es) being most of the time more clumsy than clever. Both depict hilarious Yakuza's families, who have everything to do with loyalty and nothing with criminality.

Though the story is totally differnt, the leads in both the series lead double lifes.
Nanban is slightly more hilarious.

Both dramas have these "hooligans" in the school. In Gokusen it's only one class while in Majisuka Gakuen it's the whole school. In Gokusen they're good hearted but misunderstood while in Majisuka Gakuen they just fight for fun to see who's the top of the school.

The usual teacher with unlikely background and reform the delinquents. the difference is that Gokusen feature a female lead and all-boys school.

Both are dramas with female leads which are cute, fragile ladies with glasses on a noble government position which are trying to straighten up a social outcast by trying to solve some of their problems. The main difference is that in Gokusen the heroine uses martial arts to scare of the people, which are trying to hurt the people she is trying to protect... In Zenkamono the heroine is left alone with the system.
