Geum Jan Di comes from a poor family who owns a dry-cleaning shop. One day, she visits Shinhwa High School, a prestigious school for the wealthy, and saves a student trying to commit suicide because of bullying. For her heroic act, Jan Di receives a swimming scholarship and starts attending the school.

In Shinhwa High, she meets the notorious F4, the most popular and powerful group of boys at the school, consisting of Gu Jun Pyo; the leader of F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, Yoon Ji Hu; the grandson of a former president of Korea, So Yi Jung; a skilled potter who comes from a family that owns the country's biggest art museum, and Song Woo Bin; whose family runs the country's largest construction company.

Her life at school starts out miserable, as she doesn't fit in with other students because of her status, and later becomes worse when she is labeled as the new bullying target of the F4.

Both are romantic comedies directed to teens. Both has this arrogant, rich, good-looking male lead and the humble, a bit poor female lead.

Serinuma Kae is a chubby high school girl who loves BL manga. One day her beloved character dies, and the girl falls into depression. For a long time, she cannot even eat, which leads to significant weight loss. But to her own surprise, the updated Serinuma becomes very popular at school, and she immediately has four handsome admirers at once.

ML is an actor but not too popular anymore & broke so he rent a room in FL house.
FL is a nerdy geeky/otaku girl who like to imagine & day dreaming about romance with her favorite manga/comic book character. Remind me of Rainie Yang & Jiro Wang drama....& still 1 of my favorite drama....If you like this genre this is a must watch romance comedy drama....

The plot centers around a rich boy who likes a poor girl and his three other friends. The friends in Rooftop Prince remind me a lot of the F4 in boys over flowers.

Very similar story line with rich guy falls for normal girl but doesn't quite know how to pursue her. The main difference is that at no point does he see her as an enemy or target like in BOF.

it's similar with how the main guy is a hot cute guy tat has some personality problem n is super cute bc they r always talking to themself and stressing over problem tat is not such a big deal, but makes them so cute. they are also very clueless about thing n it just makes ppl laugh

Both Shows Plots are somewhat different but both FL have similar experiences. They both are surrounded by males who find her the FL interesting but not necessarily romantically. They have both feel in love for narcissistic, chaebol(Heir) and have live with th e difficulties of their families and their lifestyle.

More Similarites:
BOF has a somewhat tomboyish FL
They are the go-getter type
Both have experience with delivery services. ;)

Both Show are great in their own style but differently worth watching these classics.

It basically has the same concept, but in a historical setting. Both dramas have a strong female character who is caught between the good, romantic boy with a sad romantic backstory, and the stubborn, dark bad boy. There are supporting characters very similar to the ones in this show, as well as a mean girl/rival of the main character who has eyes for the bad boy. Both main characters find themselves in a new lifestyle and find themselves being surrounded by royalty (the rich people in Boys Over Flowers, the princes in Scarlet Heart: Ryeo). While one might find the two dramas very different from a distance, they are actually quite similar when you look closer.

Due to Ku Hye Sun’s accident (Geum Jan Di), KBS broadcasted a Boys Over Flowers special and featured the F4 actors - Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Beom, and Kim Joon - and be hosted by Han Seok Joon and Hyun Young. Viewers were also treated to some deleted scenes from BOF.

I rich dilusional jerk thinks no girl can reject him and he does what he wants with his money power. From extravagant parties to bullying the female lead.
Slowly the male lead while constently being rejected by female lead, falls for her and tries to get her.

i love them both as they have the typical cinderella story with the simple girl and rich heir. even though the stories are different, they are both rom-coms and if you like one you will like the other too!

A 25-minute “music drama” will wrap up the F4 saga in omnibus format, featuring the four F4 members played by Lee Min-ho, Kim Hyun-joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon five years after we last left them.
