I usually don't cry in front of series or movies. I'm not that kind of person and that's something I'm really proud of. But The Moon That Embraces The Sun crushed my pride into pieces and made me cry like a baby on several episodes.

The definition of a good drama for me is a drama who can keep me awake at 3am and seeking for new episodes and not caring about having to work in the morning. And God, I had so many sleepless nights because of TMTETS.

Honestly, writing down how outstanding this drama is is really hard and I'm not sure if I'm able to express it correctly. So I can't talk about how amazing the characters are, how breathtaking the storyline is, how funny and cute it can be (special thumb up for Hyung Sun, who is probably my favorite one :D), how sad and heartbreaking you can be... Watch that drama, it's soo worth it !

This drama is a great one to watch if you like a very well thought out and planned story line, this definitely isn't your typical K-drama. It's full of so much emotion and I'm sure it will pull you in right away and you will get attached to the characters of the story.

The only reason I give the Acting/Cast a 9 is because of Yeonwoo's character....She seemed very emotionless the majority if the time and honestly I wasn't a huge fan of her acting in this drama and I believe it could of been done better.

The rest of the cast brings it all together and makes it worth it though, they did an excellent job! Absolutely loved them, especially the younger casting actors and actresses, so cute!

First of all this is a special warning, all cry babies beware. Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Ill Woo made me cry through out the whole 20 episodes. It was an amazingly emotion controlling drama. Personally I've never liked anything history related, and infact other than rooftop prince this has been the only other historical drama I've ever watched. At first i was a lot discouraged in watching this drama since the summary had not attracted enough of my attention. At first sight it definitely looks like a boring old political type dramas with little or no content of humour nor romance. But after I've given this drama a try it immediate captured my attention from the very start. What I like is that from the very beginning they did not beat around the bust and got on with the main topic. It did indeed have a bit of humour, although i must say not through out the whole thing but almost all episodes brought a smile to my face. The romance nothing but perfect. It had a lot of cute adorable scenes, and the chemistry between the leads was heart melting. The plot of the drama was really nice and heart-warming thus i gave it a straight 10. The casts were really good, infact each and every character seemed so real that at a point i felt like i had time traveled back to the Joseon dynasty. Even the young cast had amazing chemistry boiling up amongst each other. The music was ear pleasing, really nice, relaxing, calm and sweet. Honestly speaking i would not re-watch this , not because i didnt like it but because this was a suspense related drama and once the book has unfolded its not much fun to go back and read the second time. It also had a very cute ending, one which you'll drool over. Overall it was really good, I'd recommend it to everyone. You can watch it in dramacrazy.net for those who can't access viki.com due to regional problem. Thank you! Hope my review has encouraged you to watch this outstanding, jaw dropping drama.

This drama receives my Outstanding 10s Award!

I absolutely loved this drama, from the moment it aired, I was constantly checking updates regarding its status. It had me hooked, I ensured I made time to watch the weekly episodes (as I was in the middle of my exams when it aired!).

The story was well written in my opinion, and amazingly acted out by the actors! The music was a great accompaniment to the selected scenes, and it had me singing throughout the days I would wait for the new episode! I am planning to rewatch this drama, however for me to be able to do so, I will first need to set aside some time!

All in all, this show had me gripping to my screen; screaming, laughing and howling - yes howling, alongside the cast! I

Story: I generally love HISTORICAL drama a lot therefore I am open to all sorts of historical drama. I felt that the story for "The Moon that Embraces the Sun" was excellent because of how you notice the desperation of the two suns.

Acting: The actors were amazing at doing the part they needed.

Cast: I think they should have chosen a different actress for the adult Yeon Woo. I hated how her eyes were so big like she was a terrified squirrel.

Music: I have 3 sounds from this drama. I loved the song Back in Time since it express sadness. I also have Black Magic and Various Artists on my Ipod.

Rewatch Value: I'll probably not watch the whole thing again, but certain scenes. The drama is draggy sometimes with the characters spending 2-3 minutes staring at each other as music plays.

A friend recommending this drama is why I watched it. So straight to the point, It was funny, saddening and bewildering how cruel a person could be to gain what is not meant for them. I'm not a very political individual, but the ministers definitely had death away thing them. When the king would say enough is enough, and he will not let it slide. The only tragic aspect in the show was the replacement queen, she was a politic tool for her own flesh and blood. But once her usefulness was lost, she was tossed aside. I guess that how it was for that era, where riches and fame are only gained from associating with the royal family.

This drama is worth a rewatch. Deffinetly. Everything was just right. The story was original, the acting was amazing and I especially loved the OST.

The love in the story was amazing. I wish I could have such a love. Eventhough it had it's sad moments, the beginning of the drama, with them as young teenagers who fall in love. Sigh. Just so sweet. Makes you feel all warm inside.

I initially wanted to watch the drama because of *Dream High's Kim Sam Soon* Kim Soo Hyun, but eventually I started to admire the acting of Jung Il Woo. He was so good! Believable and sincere. I have to say that Han Gan In was the least impressive, but she wasn't bad either.

The story was refreshing, but then, I hadn't watched a lot of period drama's beforehand so I did not know what to expect. I just loved the whole 'first love even after death' concept and I also cried a lot during the sad parts. There wasn't really any major clichés in the story, which was good. However, the whole brother-relationship between the King and the Prince could have been much better.

The Music was FANTASTIC! It was so incredibly beautiful. It set the whole mood to the story and you could actually tear up from it. 10 out of 10 !

The whole Drama did not dissapoint. I have never watched a drama in one go until now. I just sat there with my laptop for 20 hours and kept watching. Really an amazing drama. (do nog let my scores frighten you, because too high a scores can give a false image)

Watch it. Just watch it.

Perfect 10 for me. All I can say is, this is the drama you kept longing for the next episodes to be uploaded soon. This is the drama you can sit all day long on your day-off without taking a shower and with just a sandwich for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is the drama that you feel sad it ended too soon. Yes, this is the kind of drama we want to watch and waste our time for.

I gave this a nine not because of the story, not because of the acting, but because I felt that something was missing. This drama gets to the point where it City Hunter Badass then just takes it down a notch, imo. I loved everything about this drama - the actors & actresses were flawless and completely awesome at portraying their emotions, and let's not forget Kim SooHyun and Il Jung Woo. Soo Hyun does such a great job in this drama and I can't look at him and connect him to Dream High anymore. It gets pretty tragic, but in the end it seems like everything pays off. I was cuddled up in my bed sobbing about this drama being over. What am I going to do now? If you don't watch this, you are SERIOUSLY missing out.

I have only watched few Korean dramas, but so far, this one if the best I have seen. Many of my friends told me that it was so great that they keep on re-watching it. And they said that they cried a lot because of this story. I was interested of why they had said so, so i watched it. And gosh~ It is great :D

The first scene was brutal so I already hinted that this is indeed a sad story and a tragic one. Then the story got cute when Lee and Yeon met. It was really a cute encounter. And they are cute and adorable. When they are together, the story, the scene and the atmosphere lighten up. After all those sad events, whenever I saw them together and was happy, I feel relief and happy.
How should I explain their love.. hmmm.. it was not too romantic, not a super comedy love story.. But their love story was really an extraordinary. arghhh~ I can't explain it well... Their love was not too sweet, for me it's a simple love. Yes, there are contradictions but~~ mmmm... it's hard to explain but I think I'll call it Pure and true love ^^ which is really a comforting to watch them together :)

This drama is indeed amazing, it was everything was here. Brutality, tragedy, sadness, happiness, loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, friendship, family... Intelligence, ohhhh~ I am so amazed on how smart they are, I really like it especially King Lee :D
then there's wisdom and morality too because of yeon. Yeh, they suit together. The story is like a detective too because the King Lee tries to found out the truth. Then there's politics, royalty, shamans and a little bit horror.. All of it was greatly and cleanly pack in one AWESOME drama.

I really cried a lot here especially about Yeon and Seol.. I really like Seol T_T When she was being beaten up for falsely accusing her, there's this feeling that i want to help her but of course I couldn't. Then yeon came, I was really happy. yeon was Great :D

The story ended nicely and flawlessly. Yes, flawless because the story didn't miss out a problem, everything was solve I think and was found out. I don't have any questions.

This Korean Drama was really GREAT ^^
