It feels like I was listening to a lovely song
This has been one of my most anticipated Korean movies ever since I saw the Cast line-up. So, I finally watched it and this totally reached my expectations. Infact, I feel empty now. I wanted more of this!A Year End Medley is simple yet overwhelms us with a bitter-sweet pleasure.
The movie starts from a full festive vibe where Seo Kang Joon is singing the Christmas song "Jingle bells, jingle bells… jingle all the way…" and everything is in like a happy to go state. Everyone can be seen gearing up for Christmas and finally when Christmas comes, we come across the other side of the coin. When most of the people are excited for Christmas and New Year with their friends or families, there are yet many people who have their own problems and loneliness to deal with… that's when this takes us on a "little" deeper ride but as the year finally ends, gladly everyone finds a "New Hope" in their life. It's like inspiring us to keep going on.
There are actually 5 different stories which are intermingled to each other. All characters were lovable. Yes! No negative or annoying character which makes this such a light watch. My favorite character was "Sang Hoon" (acted by Lee Kwang Soo) ~ a selfless, dedicated manager who supported a singer when he was in his down, he could have left him and signed up someone else but he became his pillar and made him a big star, when he was really popular, he didn't even try stoping him from signing into a bigger company so that he can get more opportunities. I loved how selfless and caring he was. They had a brother like bond which was truly precious to see. Infact, all 5 stories were special in their own way.
The Cast was the major factor that attracted me here and they all did a great job acting their own parts especially the Old duo – Lee Hye Young ( as Katherine ) and Jung Jin Young ( as Sang Gyu ) were great presenting a touching love story. It was the top notch acting that made this movie more memorable.
The best part of this movie is that it made us experience so many wide emotions in just two hours. All 5 stories gave me something. Then, the OST. Beautiful songs that match the situations. I didn't even realize how fast my two hours went and I was already done watching this movie. It's like a smooth ride perfect for a evening watch. I watched it alone this time but I would like to rewatch this with my family later…
Overall, just a bunch of ordinary stories wrapped up in colourful flavours which should be watched at least once.

Perfect Movie To Start New Page
If you are looking for a simple romantic story, this is for you! The director behind this movie is famous for that genre and A Year End Medley won't disappoint you. In this cold weather, we get to watch 7 different heartwarming beautiful tales from 7 different couples on Christmas day setting.Every character here are individually interesting and has a well written background to build their personality. I thought 2 hours movie wouldn't be enough to show every character's details, we don't have only 2-3 people to introduce, but a whole 14 characters! Despite the duration, they managed to show each of their layers, goals of the couple arc, and how they are linked to one and another.
I must mention out of all the couple, my favorite couple here goes to Yong Jin x Lee Young. Such a cute mature girl with supporting boyfriend! Beside fav couple, I love all the characters plot but if I have to choose, I will pick Kang Haneul's character as the best arc! From depression to comedy and move to breaking down, what a journey from his acting! Of course all the actor & actress also delivered the plot well, but Kang Haneul is just beyond.
I love the production team took care the clothing. They are all so pretty to look at. The cinematography in this movie also well taken. What I dislike from this movie might be the soundtrack only, they use a cliche classical music *cough* canon in d *cough* and that kinda ruin the flow for me, i just wanna laugh at that part.
Anyway, this is a nice movie to start the year, I wish there will be a sequel or maybe make it into drama series instead, all the stories are interesting to watch and they still have many to reveal.

It felt as if I was in a dream..
A very heartwarming masterpiece you shouldn't miss! This movie really feels like a warm hug. No complicated plot, no cliffhangers, not one boring scene(you just cannot skip any part! It;s THAT good!).. Words really fall short to express how much I've loved this movie! It leaves you with all smiles at the end..The star-studded cast was something that made me watch this movie. I'm a huge fan of both Han Jimin and Lee Dong Wook, but fell in love with Kang Ha Neul and Won Jin A in this movie. Everyone else too are very appreciable in this movie, without them this movie would've never been the same.
The songs were SO SO good, especially 'happy ending'. It's been a really long time since I've listened to such a touching song.
I wish that I'd have watch this early.. but as they say 'better late than never'!
Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a story of people with beautiful hearts who never fail to make you smile.

Sweet and full of emotions
A sweet drama & full of emotion portraying many faces of relationships.A long lost love, unrequited love, friendzone miss the timing type of love, Cinderella one, dorkiest one, pursing your true love one, brotherly, sweet crush, business only, commited employees, generous employer, farther's hidden love, young blood & even the dead one.
The stories of many characters that smoothly intertwine and overlay eachother without feeling being force or fake. A sweet relationship with sweet ending.
Come with plenty of powerhouse A lister actors. Highly recommended.

All the stories were nice if they were more solid and connected wellBut with sorrow they were too shallow with no events and no details and wasn't connected well together
As if all the stories were parallel to each other
I know they want to make the Korean version from the American movies
Love actually or valentine's Day
But really they couldn't
The most story I liked was for Kang ha neul
The guy who want to suicide
Other stories were too much in rush which made me unpleasant or enjoy them
Anyway it's just a one time watching movie

The korean version of New Year’s Eve

Coincidentally, i watched this movie in new year’s eve, and this movie served what every holiday movies need to : a heartwarming stories, (lots of) eye candy, simple plot, and ultimately giving warm to audience who watched it. There’s no surprise element in this movie, everything went predictably, maybe for some people it would be boring. But hey, there are times when we would be craving for this kind of movie.
So, if you are really want to relax, or need some holiday vibe (or maybe you’re in the airplane LOL) i will highly recommend this movie for you. Don’t think too much, just enjoy the ride

So Absolutely Lovely
My only complaint is that I wanted a separate movie for each individual story, because they were all so lovely and I wanted more and more and more of these cute characters and their cute stories. Maybe even a 16 episode series for some of the stories! So heartwarming and hopeful! Definitely recommend if you’re wanting something sweet and uncomplicated. A bit messy sure, but that’s what happens when you wrap 5 dramas into one movie. But still definitely worth the 2 hours. I want to make my flat mates watch it with me now, so it’s worth another 2 hours more! The biggest bonus of this movie is the A-List cast with so many recognizable and beloved faces, Lee Dong Wook being my favorite of course. (His heart eyes and endeared smile nearly crushed my besotted and single heart.) Anyways, definitely give it a watch if you haven’t already. It’s New Years/Christmas themed but I think it’s excellent for any time of the year when you need a feel good movie to watch!Was this review helpful to you?

An entertaining movie with a very predictive storyline.I think it's a nice and calm movie to watch in December however, the storylines were very predictive since the beginning. For example, you knew the So-Jin was going to end up with the guy that had been rejected 20 times on the dates haha
Lee Sang-Wook character although it was a stereotype of a CEO I liked that he had a soft side and he's so cute with the maid woman.
I really liked the fact that we had a storyline with two older people; they were each other first love. She's a sweet and career woman who even if she made her life and married someone else she knew deep in her heart that she and her first love were going to get together eventually.
As for the guy who tried to ? himself I didn't like his story but happy that he got a good ending though.
Oh, btw. This movie remind me a lot of Christmas Eve, a Yankee movie from 2011/2012.
So yeah, these are my thoughts.

Warm and fun
Following the structure of Love Actually but using quintessential korean elements, A Year End Medley follows a group of people learning to live through heartbreak and disappointment, first love and second chances, and figuring out the best way to support your friends.This film knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. The director fully understand what needs to be done to get the viewer invested in every storyline. That's a difficult task when you have a cast as big and star-studded as this one, where everyone is bringing their A+ game. Even the random 30 second cameos that you don't expect are really fun to watch.
The music is fun and catchy, making you feel at ease and immediately in the happy holidays mood.
I really liked this film. It left me a big smile and a feel good warmth when it ended. I recommend it.

Heartwarming Holiday Movie ♡
Did I watch a Christmas/ New Year movie in Apirl?Yes yes I did ?
I have had this one on my list for some time now & happy I was able to watch it.
PROS:
◇The Cast! Amazing actors of all ages & some legends as well! ??
◇The chemistry it was believable and everyone did a great job!
CONS:
◇Some of the stories were slower / less interesting then others to me personally.
◇Some insta love ❤️ but it's a Christmas ? film so it wasn't surprising.
Over all I had a great time watching would probably rewatch but this time around the holidays ?

Beautiful
idk how else to describe this movie other than "Beautiful". The story looks simple but at the same time, it has depth to it. Talking about people's struggles, love, life, trauma was a very refreshing watch.
