I wasn't going to write a review on this, neither was I going to complete this drama. It took me forever to complete it because it was a snooze fest for most parts. But this is the absolutely only drama that I gave second, third and so on chances to because of the two main lead actors.

As for the story, it is a plain one about a girl who finds out read more she is a princess. There wasn't much original in the plot and all the Imperial family politics bored me. I was lazy to complete this drama because I wasn't invested in the second leads either. By the way, I generally don't like judging actors by their looks but Park Ye Jin looked absolutely hideous in her hairstyle and annoyed the hell out of me.

After watching this, Kim Tae Hee is hands down the most easily likable actress in the Korean industry for me. I don't remember the last time I was so impressed with an actress playing an ordinary character in midst of a boring story. Also, Song Seung Hoon was equally good as Park Hae Young and complimented Tae Hee's character well. Plus, their awesome chemistry made me want more. Their scenes are all fluffy and cute. At least these two people didn't bore me.

Because this drama is a victim of poor writing, Lee Seol's character was also nothing special. But Tae Hee's amazing acting skills made her entertaining. Generally, I have a record of hating female characters which cry a lot or behave immaturely. But Tae Hee makes even this funny and enjoyable to watch. The drama had nothing but to rely on Tae Hee and Seung Hoon's talent to make it to the end.

Overall, it is an easily forgettable drama. But because it is light and has great lead actors I could tell you try it once. Recommended for fans of Kim Tae Hee and Seung Hoon!

I really liked this one. I kept hearing how wooden Song Seung Heon was as an actor and it biased me unfairly. I loved him in this. Kim Tae Hee was wonderfully light and funny. Even though there were some slight boring moments for me here and there and the plot could have been written better, overall this was fun to watch. A great rainy day drama. Lots of funny moments thrown read more in with the drama and tears. Mr. P kinda rocks.

Both are Korean dramas about an ordinary girl becoming a princess and learning that life as royalty is not all glitz and glam. Also both dramas have a romantic theme of hate turning into love.

both dramas both have issues with a huge inheritance being given to a female although it was the male's family own first.

The story was well constructed for the most part with relatively little dragging. I found both male leads refreshing, even when they were being a bit selfish they didn't linger there. I loved the way they both interacted with seol and one another.
Seol (female lead) was over all sweet and funny but I wish had developed more depth in maturity as the story progressed. It's more or less the work of the script writer trying to stretch the story line, but she became a little annoying a few episodes before the end holding an unreasonable grudge on Hae for their father's past.
Now the antagonist female 2nd lead was just a witch as was her Seol's adopted sister. I try to find some measure of compassion most of the time for even the evil keeping in mind most hurt people hurt people, they are not simply born evil.... It is always nice when people have a revelation of remorse and grow up...but I couldn't find much grace for either of them in the end.

Ah the end it is fiction and that is how the story goes... I would give it 8 out of 10 stars. The male leads may make it an 8.5.

I've never hated anyone as much as I've hated Mintra (Full House Thai) and Yoon Joo from this show.

The best thing about this drama is the comedy and chemistry between the leads. It is witty and funny and really lovable! However, the serious bits of this drama are really lacking. There were so many things that didn't make any sense. And all that crying, yuck! Lee Dan and Oh Yoon Joo were both annoying me to death. I wished we could get a nice second lead for once.
Beginning was quite strong, dwindled a bit along the way, i'm undecided between 6.5 and 7...

Question - MDL shows Ryu Soo Young as a supporting actor in this and Viki shows him as a main actor. Is he prominent in this drama or no? I only planned to watch if he's a main actor. Thanks for the help! :)

Would someone like to explain what exactly happens in the first episode? The subtitles in viki were lacking and coming late so I didn't catch up all the events.

"My Princess" is my second K-drama (after Queen In-Hyun's Man)
Princess Kim Tae Hee can be expressed as Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Desirable, Elegant, Feminine, Gorgeous, Humorous. Love her as an actress.
Already made me love her Yi Seol character at episode 1, when she yells "chaggart!" (so adorable tune!) and bouncing away later like a sweet haksem-yim at the carpark scene. The other was her daydreaming love crush with her keosum-yim Professor
