I don't normally watch romantic comedies. I'm so glad I decided to watch this. The story is well written with fully developed characters. Any problems between the characters are quickly resolved. It is full of cheesy and steamy moments. I admit that I didn't really care for all of the side characters, but they in no way detract from the drama. As a person who has lost her mother, I enjoyed watching the relationship between Ban Ji Yeon and her mother. I haven't smiled or laughed so much while watching a drama in a long time. Also, I think there are a lot of noonas/agassis that will enjoy the older woman - yonger man relationship story line.

Of course I watched this because I have fallen for Park Seo Joon. He doesn't disappoint as Yoon Dong Ha. He is charismatic, witty, and manly in this drama. I can't wait to see what he does next. I also enjoyed Uhm Jung Hwa's sophisticated yet vulnerable portrayal of Ban Ji Yeon. She is really pretty and funny. Their chemistry together is also really good. The other actors are good too.

The music is good

I may rewatch this at some point.

I recommend this drama to every one especially if you enjoy romantic comedies.

I'll be blunt and say this, this isn't an overhyped drama just because of the visuals but 80% so, but mainly it's just the nighttime fantasies of almost middle aged K-drama enthusiasts.

Most of them would love to imagine it was them in her shoes and just ignore everything else.

Anyhow, me not being one of those -- the plot was a train wreck at best. Characterizations were horrendous. The female lead went from being a mature career woman to an unnatural 40+ woman acting like a preteen, and the male lead was fluctuating between the understanding gentleman wise beyond his years to 12 year old throwing a tantrum at times and withholding important key communications.

First episode was funny, wish they capitalized on comedy and it would've been great, but it became a failure of a drama that took itself way too seriously.

P.s. yes, decent cinematography.

Surprisingly good!

I wasn't expecting much when I started this drama, but I was hooked right away.
The two main characters really work well together. I totally bought their romance (although I wish they would have kept it as passionate as they hinted at first).

The supporting characters are just amazing! Every single one of them, which is too rare.
There's a great bromance between Dong Ha & Soo Cheol. Na Rae and her husband are one of the best (and funniest) couple I've seen. The mother, the boss and all the coworkers were just too perfect, slightly over the top to be fun, but not enough to be ridiculous.

I loved the ending!

My only complain would be the main male character... why so perfect?

Running on a Park Seo Joon high these days! Damn this guy can totally make you go weak in the knees!
I only attempted to watch this Noona romance for this hunk (I am not a big fan of noona romances) and for the records this noona romance was totally unrealistic and absurd with a wide age gap!

But once I started watching (reluctantly though) it, I dint want this light and fluffy drama to end...EVER! All cause of this handsomeness! He proved his mettle with his acting as well!

Uhm Jung Hwa... though I was not sure about her as a leading lady against the handsome Seo Joon...she did not disappoint me she suited the role perfectly! I have to mention this point without fail...she looked amazing...I mean if I was to look that good at 40plus age I wouldn’t be guilty to date guys half my age as well! :D :D :D

It was a good show over all. Not one that would be on my FAVORITES list though (but for Park Seo Joon I am going to put it up on favorites!),

A must watch for all Seo Joon fans...If you have been watching a lot of sageuk, melodrama or action dramas and want a break from it all for a love-dovey cute one...watch this (recommending it to even the ones who hate noona romances)! It’s like a refreshing palate cleanser!

Well as for the rating I have given...I wasn't very happy with the OST! I believe every romance drama should have beautiful OST to enhance it.

So after Scent of a Woman, I needed something light and fluffy, so I picked Witch's Romance, not knowing much about it except that it was a Noona romance (older woman, younger guy). I'm so glad I did - it was just the light and fluffy bit that I needed! This was so cute to the point of being over the top, but I totally didn't mind. Not only that, but it was funny! I had some literal LOL moments, and my husband would ask me what had me cracking up.

I really did love this show, and all the relationships it showed. Ji Yeon and Dong Ha were adorable (although I had to say for me this was mostly because of Park Seo Joon as Dong Ha, who was fantastic). The age difference was noticeable because Dong Ha looks so young even for his age, but in the end, I totally bought their chemistry. Also cute were Ji Yoen's friend Na Rae and her husband, Dong Ha's friend Soo Cheul and his budding romance with Eun Chae and last but definitely not least, almost stealing the show were Ji Yoen's mom getting together with her boss! So cute!

The major downer for me was the 2nd lead, Shi Hoon, who was such a debbie downer. I couldn't stand him from the start. He was really manipulative, and I kind of hated how Ji Yeun was when she was with him. I would have rated the show higher but these middle episodes with Shi Hoon dragged on so badly, that I almost wanted to give up.

Glad that I stuck it through to the end, though, because the HEA was just TOO CUTE!

Why did I not watch it till now? It is such an amazing drama. Probably, one of the best I have veer seen. I was a bit hesitant to watch it, as I do not really like noona-dongsaeng relationships, but when I saw that many people like me actually enjoyed it, I gave it a try. I am sooooo glad I did that!!!!

STORY
The story line was good, there were no turning twists or something like that. It was not necessary. I loved how it was so light-hearted and witty. I just loved the first episodes, where the chemistry between the actors was on fire. The reason why I gave 9points for the story is that it was really fast-paced and entertaining in the beginning but then somewhere in the middle it started to drag, however not for too long, because the last episodes had the same pace and chemistry as the first ones. I am not going to spoil it for those, who have not watched it yet, but let's just say that the problems from the middle episodes could have been left out, in my opinion.

CAST
The cast was daebak!!!! Uhm Jung Hwa is such a great actress, her acting is so natural. Her character of a passionate reporter suited her very well. She is a charismatic and strong woman in a real life and the character of Ban Ji Yeon is the same here. She had a such a great chemistry with Park Seo Joon, who did an amazing job as well (he is getting on my list of favourite actors). I would totally believe that those two were dating in a real life. They were so well-matched :)

Beside those two main characters, my favourite character was Yong Soo Cheol (Yoon Hyun Min). I loved every scene with him!! I liked this actor in Cruel City and here I loved him even more, he just made my day whenever he appeared on the screen (but honestly, almost everyone in this drama made my day). I loved how he was regretting what he did to Ban Ji Yeon and how he respected her and called her noonim :D

I just loved all the cast!! They had such a great chemistry and you could have seen how much fun they had while filming from bloopers!

MUSIC
As for music, I am so glad that the production gave opportunity to such a great female group like SPICA (my favourite female group). I loved their song "Witch's Diary". However, I am glad that this song was used just in the beginning because it suited well just in the beginning. The other tracks were ok, but nothing special.

OVERALL
This a definitely a drama I will go back to. I was smiling so much while watching this. It is so witty, light and simply amazing. Definitely a drama worth your time!

So much fun - there were many, many times I laughed out loud while watching, and a couple of times I teared up. And Dong Ha's roomie was a hoot, too. I have a soft spot for noona romances anyway...I loved Last Cinderella (even thought it seems like a lot of people don't) and I really enjoyed I Need Romance 3 as well. This one did not disappoint, although I will admit the ending kind of surprised me, but I like what they did with it. Dong Ha and Ji Yeon are both very likable characters so it's easy to root for them. There is, of course, the required triangle - but it's not focused on as heavily as in other dramas maybe as it's just one of the many obstacles Dong Ha and Ji Yeon have to overcome. No second lead syndrome (for me anyway) so that was a plus. The only really negative though is that, although there are some lovely romantic moments, they usually break the tension with a silly one. I think I would have liked a little better final payoff on the sexual tension they started with in the first episode.

She is 45, he is 26. There's actually 19-year age gap between them but perhaps the producers thought that too much. Still, she's got full-blown hysterical attack finding out he's 14 years younger, LOL. But I tried to imagine myself in her place. It would be 15 years in my case. I woudn't be very keen on it, either:D It's like admitting you hit the middle-age crisis.

The harder it is when the guy in question is not only handsome, hot... Also has a decent personality, sensitive, funny, no coward... He is really nice! Is there a woman who can resist all that? For how long?

Truth is, they both already had their boyfriend/girlfriend whom they loved. And what I liked was, that unlike most "romance" dramas, this was not about them now having to fight or somehow win over that previous boyfriend/girlfriend (be it just ex or dead one). They both supported the other, offered understanding instead of jealousy. I thought that way more romantic. For once, the old loved ones didn't have to be proven bad people or worse people than the current couple. We didn't have to watch long and tiring plotting of someone against someone. That's what I definitely appreciated about this drama. Everyone has a past, but the whole show is not revolving around annoying love-rivals.

Actually the writers were smart in making such an age gap romance to work. They first made the two of them really close. They made each other laugh so often. It was also funny in some situations where she came to act as his "guardian":) Actually he should have mom and dad, but luckilly we don't see them (he would really seem too young with them around). They emphasise her mother, not his mother.

But! Then they decided to bring one of those ex lovers (of course not the dead one) back. As I previously praised the sparse use of this character, I was kinda dubious. If they were really getting back together, I would accept it (she WAS a bit old for guy in his twenties, though she looked best she possibly could and seemed compatible with him, so I was not against their age gap romance) but as a plot device it got tiresome already. Watching episode 10, I wanted to go back to episode 1. I remembered the ending of epi 2, that was soooo funny!:) Where did all that go?

I went back to watch first 3 episodes again. This show had a whole different kick of a dynamics before the tragic dead ex or returning ex came to play. I understand that more actors need to be employed by the industry, nevertheless I would enjoy this show way better if we just concentrated on the main two, her being a bitch at work (they could just fill the runtime with work cases), him being her too young assistant of clashing opposite personality and ideals (whom she totally went for when she got drunk... their bed scene was so hot:) and and that could have lasted for way more episodes, ideally for a majority. Instead it went on too fast, too quickly gone. Then the general mood got dominated by the side-characters that should have stayed only in flashbacks.

We got exactly to that stage I previously appreciated we did not. And I was really sick of watching Yoon Dong Ha crying and hurting. How could his "witch" allow it? This is something I never like in a "romance"... They try to stretch the "drama" for more episodes by making the woman act like a c**t. I just wanted her to admit her feelings. It would be so refreshing. Should the situation been reversed and HIS former partner returned (from being dead), he would also hardly tell her to pi** off, right? It's nothing new loving 2 people. Still one can face it with integrity, or... not. Then she changes her mind... Wait. He no longer waits. Then "he" changes his mind... Now she's the one crying. Geez, it all overall lost the drive. And direction, LOL. I considered dropping the drama by 13th episode. Seriously, there was NO FUN left. Even romance-wise, I got tired. I would guess this drama's viewers won't be able to enjoy even sweet happyend after all the bitter taste in their mouth? But 3 (hour long) episodes still remained...

So, the last 3 episodes? After it exhausted the painful triangle times over, it was like the script did not know what else to deal with. So, NOW that the series is nearing its end, it deals with the work cases (he's back at her office), LOL. Also the cute atmosphere kinda returned... Perhaps epis 7 - 13 should be SKIPPED. Luckilly the show returned to its roots, but it could have used the filler episodes WAY better. Potential of these two character's dynamics was endless.

The ending could have been sweet if not for all the things we had to go through in between. Everything I previously praised during first episodes has turned upside down, and spoiled the flow. It's difficult to rate a show so good at the beginning and then so bad later. I was not able to thoroughly appreciate the sweetness of them being finally together, I had seen too much of things I didn't enjoy, while I missed seeing the progress of their relationship to that sweet point. As if they realized this last minute, they literally repeated the same "beer seduction scene", probably to remind the audience where they were last left off, or smth.

There is a scene in the episode right before last where her mother asks him what is his age. Like during the whole series, when they dealt with so serious drama she never noticed it before? It's literally like the last 3 episodes could be placed right after the first 3 episodes, because it looks like completely different writer was responsible for all the stuff in between. But, k-drama producers don't want the drama to have 6 episodes. They want it to have 16. The result might be as weird as we see here. Filling the huge screentime is probably not as easy as people think. I admit I love dramas, but always make my own shorter, edited versions of them to keep:) Even in not such extreme cases as this.

Note: So, so annoying how he kept calling her "team leader" even in private moments and long after he quit being her colleague at work!:D Not that this is uncommon in k-dramas, I know.

I loved this drama! It was different and amazing! Greatly executed, it had talented actors, a good story and amazing music. It was very enjoyable.

Story: I don't usually like noona romances but this one was daebak! It had a great story though I did not like the second male lead part. That was boring and made no sense. But the rest of it was amazing! It didn't have any twists and turns or huge birth secrets. There was a mystery around the leads' past but it was simple and believable and wasn't too heavy. The romance was epic and the lead couple had amazing chemistry! There was plenty comedy and cute stuff and I enjoyed the side stories as well, like Ban Ji Yeon's mother's.

Actors/Characters: In my opinion, the characters of this drama were very well-written. All had depth and seemed real. All except No Shi Hoon. He was cardboard character who had no personality. But more about that later. I'll start with Ban Ji Yeon. I've seen Uhm Jung Hwa in a couple of movies and I've liked her but I really enjoyed her performance in this drama! She was great in the funny as well as the emotional scenes and I felt like she captured the character really well. I liked how throughout the drama Ban Ji Yeon acted like an adult and acted her age. It was adorable how, when she fell in love, she giggled like a teenage girl. All in all, I really enjoyed her character.

I was very impressed with Park Seo Joon! I haven't seen him in anything else so I wasn't really expecting anything but I was very impressed with his acting and his portrayal of the character. He has very good facial expressions and usually his face shows his feelings. Also, he makes the most adorable faces! Yoon Dong Ha was a nice, sweet guy and exactly the kind of guy I would want! I loved him! He was adorable and perfect! He was sweet and caring and just adorable!

No Shi Hoon, as I mentioned, was a very uninteresting character. He had no personality or soul and the reason behind his actions was never revealed. In fact his character wasn't developed at all. Han Jae Suk didn't appear that much that I could say anything about his acting. He was okay I guess.

I very much enjoyed all the side characters in this drama. I loved Ji Yeon's mother! Her relationship with her mother was very much like my own with my mother so that was very sweet. And I really liked her romance with Ji Yeon's boss. I loved Dong Ha's roommate! He was funny and adorable and such a sweetheart! And his romance with Eun Chae was really cute! Ji Yeon's friend and her husband were funny and cute and just perfect! And I really enjoyed all the office workers, especially Team Leader Byun who's character was written really well.

Overall: I really enjoyed this drama. It was different and really good and I loved the romance and comedy.

Loved it and Loved the cast. I really enjoyed the original "My Queen" but I also LOVED "Witch's Romance". Witch's Romance was fun and enjoyable to watch. The cast was great. Great mix of talent. everyone playing off of each other. I did notice some minor changes to certain situations in WR but it was still still. Over the moon thrilled with Park Seo Joon and Uhm Jung Hwa both very talented and the had such great chemistry. In-fact, I think the whole cast had such a believable chemistry that if I were to hear otherwise I would be shocked. Park Seo Joon charmed the lights out of me and if he said the sky were green I would surely believe him. I would loved to just package his charm & charisma in this drama and keep it for myself. Loved the relationship between the best friends (Yong Soo Cheol & Yoon Dong Ha). Now is the story of older woman finding romance with a younger man 14 years age difference believable and realistic. Yes why not? Did I believe them, yes I did. This type of relationship could work for some and could not work for some others, as would any relationship between two people. I think the remake was great and at 16 episodes I was sold. Now did you get a perfect happy ending. I think so, maybe not perfect but it was realistic. Regardless of the ending, I loved everything about it. Loved the playfulness between the main couple, little kisses and looks that make a romantic comedy like this fun and great to watch. Enjoy

I love this drama :) It had great characters, and interesting albeit 'the norm' ways to keep the storyline going. It uses the drama cliches to its advantage, all while portraying a semi realistic relationship of two people with a large age gap.
The chemistry is beautiful...I really love that about this drama. Sometimes although the actors are believable in most of a drama, the romance falls a little flat. However, that's not the case for either of the main characters. Issues and misunderstanding happen regularly, but they are resolved in a nice manner that doesn't drive you insane.
My favorite thing is there is no insane dunh dunh dunnnh moment, but there are definite oh no's and please don't...lol.

If you like a sweet strong coffee like rom com this is it, and it doesn't disappoint. The main characters are fun to watch, along with the colorful supporting cast that makes sure there is always something going on.
Overall this is a must watch, and i definitely will be watching it again.

Just my opinion, but...

I decided to watch this for a couple of reasons, not the least of which was Park Seo Joon. However, for me, this show didn't work on a number of levels. Normally I don't have a problem with the characters having a large age difference. In this case, though, I couldn't seem to get past it, especially since I found her to be extremely immature. I also felt that she was trying to be funny, but I didn't feel she carried it off well. Over-the-top physical comedy isn't really my cup of tea. About halfway through the show, I felt that there were just too many misunderstandings, too much angst and depression, and for Pete's sake, if you'd just talk to one another this whole mess could be cleared up!
