This drama was such a surprise. I started it and then put it on hold after episode 3 not because it was bad I was just busy with other dramas but when I came back to it I finished it in two days. This is one of those dramas that is easy to watch you root for the couple even though they are not the conventional couple. This is one of those rare situations where you fall for all the characters. The side stories are just as good as the main story line. If you are looking for an easy enjoyable and funny drama this will fit the case.

2 main things that got me hooked with this drama, it was really hard waiting for the following episodes to come out.
First, the amazingly over-flowing chemistry between Ban Ji Hyun and Yoon Dong Ha, it gets you stuck to your screen, Just Perfect.
Second, the wonderfully hilarious Bromance, Wow, Yong Su Chul, you can burst into laughter just as he shows up on screen.
Third, the sidekicks stories, was quite entertaining, I mean it's not just the main leads, but there are others in the drama as well.
Finally, The MUSIC, this was my first time knowing Spica, and their music is wonderful, You Don't Love Me from the first episode just a perfect fit for the situation.

I know you won't regret watching this drama, I haven't seen the Taiwanese version, but if you did, I think you can enjoy this one.... WATCH THIS, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE FUN

Santa Claus without a bicycle

All in all, a nice story, the opening scene with bicycle-pursuit is really Oscar-worthy. In general, the story follows this easy-going, often very funny introduction to the romance.

The only embarrassing and failed character is the ex-lover of FL, No Shi Hoon. This person is really a dubious egoistic character.

This unsympathetic character has been a real failure for the writers. I almost stopped the series because of this poser. That would have been a shame, because overall it was a very entertaining, often funny story.

Visually, I could hardly make out the age difference of the main couple. The FL seems young and attractive, the ML in turn sensible and detached. It fits! And friends, there are such couples in real life! I knew a happy old couple with an age difference of over 15 years! age difference.

I'm in a path full of rom-com lately... I really enjoy this kind of drama because I think that life is already too heavy, so we need soft things to pass the time. If you like this gender too, you probably gonna like "Witch's romance".

The story's a little dated for me. I think that we don't have a real problem being explored in this. We see the age topic being an issue sometimes, but this isn't a big thing in the plot... The question about the love triangle was well done, even when I hate this kind of thing, haha. I think that they pass the idea of the sadness involving the disappearance of an old love and the born of a new one. I really could feel the pain in Ban Ji Yun's heart. That said, I think that they could make the issues deeper because things seem a little superficial to me.

The performances were good enough considering the plot. Park Seo Joon was a baby, and sometimes his was a little simple, but it was okay. Uhm Jung Hwa just looks exactly a powerful woman, I loved her! And I love Yoon Hyun Min too! I saw him on "My Holo love" but here I appreciate him very much.

So, It was a simple GOOD ONE (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★)! If you wanna something with impact, maybe you gonna be frustrated, but if you just wanna have fun seeing Park Seo Joon being cute, go for it!

Certified for rom-com lovers

I love everything about this series except that I think It could have been much better and more realistic if Park Seo-Joon was paired with a prettier actress like Choi Ji-Woo. The plots complimented with the story very well..It also has that mixed emotions that most of us can relate to..Overall, I'm always fascinated with Seo-Joon's versatility as an actor..He's a genius!!! I have also watched his other series and movies, all of them showed how talented as an actor he really is..I believe that when he mastered the English language, he could be one of the most famous International Superstar someday..Way to go Park Seo-Joon, fighting!!! 😍😘🥰

Sorry, for me it was yet another bad Korean version of a great Taiwanese drama.
I started watching this drama because of the good reviews about good chemistry, good story line and the fact that it aired on cable was bonus because cable have more leeway…
As far as chemistry the two leads had it at spare, it was fun watching them together.
The female lead for me had it lacking- too much plastic surgery and too little on acting part…
I started this drama mainly because of the male lead, he did a good job in making me fall for him, I hope to see him more as the lead.
As for the storyline, it's hard to give the Korean touch to a foreigner drama, you have different mindset while watching a Japanese or a Taiwanese drama.
For me the attempt fell flat, for one thing I hated the fact that all Supporting Role were basically acting stupidly more the half the drama!!
As for the ost, the male lead solo is good!!

I recommend to try to Taiwanese version before or after watching the Korean one, it will give a good perspective on things.

Sorry..but this remake is just so over-exaggerated, The serious scenes were turned into comedy, and not a single one had made me cry. In the taiwanese version, I cried a lot and felt the need of love of the 33 year old woman. I'm not a korean hater, in fact, I am a big fan of Kpop. It's just that korean remakes don't do good :(

Not worth of 8 rating

This is my first Korean drama I felt like Chinese dramas, all the brainless plots and characters are like Chinese. Shameless ML without bottom line, annoying and b**chy FL.
When ML falls for FL he always thinks of her and wants to stay with her even though he knew she feels irritated and hurting because of him, but he always keep on nagging to her. Of course he is young but 25 years is more than enough to know what to do and what not. When she rejected him and told that she wants to be with her ex boyfriend he still keeps on hanging with her and visit her home or wherever she is, even though he knows that is embarrassing to both and mainly he knew she is getting hurt for seeing his face, even after he knew she is getting married soon and also when he saw her in the wedding dress he couldn’t stay away from her. After so many irritating incidents he decided to stay away from her but not for too long, he came back to old fashion. The most annoying and irritating part is because he is little younger (25 years) the director always wants to project his immaturity and there is no clear picture when and how he falls for her that much deeply.
Especially the FL is so annoying and b**chy. When she also had crush on ML she suddenly she accepted her ex and requested him stay with her when he is about to leave for work, after so many annoying and irritating incidents ML decided stay away from her, she didn’t let him leave she always asked him stay with her not to quit the job and not to leave the place he stayed even though she knew that is making embarrassment and irritating to both, and suddenly she realised that she has ML is her heart yet she wants to marry her ex and doing all preparations for marriage. She used to tell the FL to give up on her but she orders him to stay with her I thought this is sadistic and brainless, the most annoying thing is she suggest some girl for ML.
Here She is 39 years old but there is no incidents to witness that either professionally or personally.

This is a noona romance, pure and simple. There’s some exposition on what it’s like to be a reporter for a magazine, what it’s like to be an odd job man, what it’s like not to earn a steady living, and what it’s like to Earn a steady living, but all of that really comes in second to the noona romance. And the noona romance…is gooooood. The writers really got what real romance is about. Mutual respect, compatibility, excitement, passion, Actually Spending Time Together. Freakin’ real-deal romance. (And Zero asshole behavior, for which I am always grateful.)

Unfortunately, the drama did the romance So well, that it was all the more disappointing when same said romance faltered in the final quarter.

I'm talking about the Love Octopus (my name for love triangles).

I know they're common in older dramas, and it’s honestly very short-lived here (about two or three episodes), and yet I hated everything about it.

Almost from the moment he appeared on screen, I was ready for Shi Hoon to leave. From being angry at Ji Yeon for believing his secretary’s lie (don't even get me started on the stupidity of that whole plotline) to expecting everything to go back to exactly the way it had been six years earlier (because obviously, nothing could have changed within those six years; neither of them were different people or anything) to ‘pretending’ to be a ‘noble idiot’ and ‘pushing’ Ji Yeon away. (I didn’t even realize he was being a Noble Idiot until Ji Yeon pointed it out. That’s how good he was at just being an ass.) He literally got more and more annoying as the show went on, and by the end, I just wanted him dead.

As for Ji Yeon, she proved to be frustrating in a different, but all too familiar way to seasoned drama watchers. Leading up to the Love Octopus, she was a fabulous female lead. She’s feisty, she’s driven, she’s smart, she’s no-nonsense, SHE'S BLOODY CONSISTENT! Then Mr. Ex showed up, and Ji Yeon went from feisty and driven to timid and indecisive. She lost all sense of personality, spunk, spark, passion, fire, confidence, independence, and I HATED IT.

I’m not saying I don’t understand why it happened. She had been in a relationship with Shi Hoon for a long time, she’d clearly been pretending to be someone she wasn’t when she was with him, and the end of their relationship had devastated her. But we didn’t get nearly enough exposition into their past relationship for her sudden change in demeanor to feel realistic. I just didn’t believe that a woman so self-possessed would fall apart that easily at the sight of her ex.

But here’s where I sing Dong Ha’s praises as he was the only part of the Love Octopus that wasn't terrible. I love him. I love every single thing about him. He’s perfect. He’s wonderful. He’s kind. He’s caring. He’s giving. He’s hard working. He’s all the good things.

He literally saved this drama.

I will admit here that I might be too harsh in my assessment of this part of the story, but I honestly hated watching our female lead go from feisty and self-assured to a complete doormat within the span of seconds. And what made it so much worse is that all of the sexy, romantic, cuteness between our leads all but disappeared once the story hit the 'My ex fiancé is back, and for some unexplainable reason, I feel obligated to go back to him' arc. We were left with this open-ended, will they-won't they ending between our leads, and neither of them deserved that.

I don’t regret sticking this drama out, but I don’t Not regret it either. I mostly just wish we had gotten a less open ended ending. (Would have gone a long way in making up for the ex fiancé subplot.) I still totally recommend this drama to anyone who likes noona romances. Or just anyone who likes romances where there’s actually a compelling reason for the main couple to Be the main couple. Or just anyone who likes nice guys. Because as much as I hate Shi Hoon and feel like the drama really dragged it’s way to the finish after he showed up, I also think this drama was really, really, really well written and really, really, really, Really well acted and has a Fabulous romance between two people who are Actually compatible. If you can put up with two to three episodes of ex-significant-other drama (which is probably perfectly bearable as long as you’re not me) and a pretty open ended ending, this noona romance is killer.

Lazy writing, 2D characters and a lame long love triangle = a waste of time

I'm 99% certain the people who praise the romance and chemistry in this one are blinded by their love for PSJ. FL over or under acts without hitting the authenticity sweet spot and the relationship circumstances are way less believable than the standard meet cute romcom. I'm a fan of noona dramas but this romance felt flimsy from the start - more love bomb than romcom - and it never got better.

Then as soon as the highly unlikely love triangle rears its ugly head the leads did a total 180 - FL goes from boss to wishy-washy insecure while ML goes from supportive to immature man child. If a story says one thing then expects me to believe something totally different with no basis just to inject some drama it's frankly not a good story. Don't even get me started on SML who's a romance road block instead of an actual 3D character.

The plot isn't anything special either - just lies, misunderstandings and miscommunications with some background office drama - so once the romance stalls there's no point sticking around. In retrospect I should have listened to all the comments telling people to skip episodes 8-12 but again if you have to skip 1/3 of a drama to enjoy a drama it's not a good drama.

This is a fun drama. I super love the voice of Park Seo Joon, he sang the OST. One of the dramas that you won't regret watching and the plot was pretty good... I am not just fond of the lead artist, Uhm Jung Hwa.

Perfect nona romance
at least for me
the story is very light, soft & smooth
very lovely one
especially Park seo joon i fall for him definitely at this show

i really got sad for both men main leads but i was definitely Biased towards park seo :*

the only thing that really bothered me so was (Uhm Jung Hwa)
from my opinion she doesn't fit the role
she looked older than 39 as if she was his mom not just nona
she ruined her face by the plastic surgery
she appears older than her real age

this drama needs someone like (Gong Hyo Jin) or (kim So Yeon)
they were going to be brilliant & fit with the right age & place

the positive thing at this drama although i felt it didn't has much events but definitely not boring it's smooth & u forget the time while watching & u suddenly reached the end

i didn't like the odd joking between park seo & Yoon Hyun it was really v.weird & unnecessary at all like the sexual part when yoon hyun opened his robe to park seo
sometimes i felt yoon hyun acting as if they were couple

SPOILER

AS USUAL
the HUGE weak point at most of KD ( THE END ) ....

the most thing i hate after sad endings ... OPEN ones
as if the writer says : just put the one u love (HELL)
i love clear endings :(
& sometimes i found park seo attitude & the face expression towards marring uhm jung was strange as if this idea didn't cross his mind
