Kim Sun Ah (My Name is Kim Sam Soon, Scent of a Woman) has taken the lead role in a revenge film called The Five. It is based on a popular webtoon written by Jung Yeon Shik who will also write and direct the movie. Other actors include Ma Dong Suk (Shut Up, Flower Boy Band, Dr. Champ), On Joo Wan (Twelve Men in a Year, Natural Burial), Shin Jeong Keun (Runway Cop, The Grand Heist), Lee Chung Ah (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, Finding Mr. Destiny), and Jung In Ki (The King of Dramas, Modern Family). The release date is not out for this movie.
Eun Ah (Kim Sun Ah) loses her husband and daughter and nearly dies herself when a serial killer attacks her family. She ends up in a wheelchair where she plots her revenge. She uses her own organs as collateral to fund a mission and brings together a team to get revenge on the serial killer.
This really seems interesting. Plus it is a break from Kim Sun Ah’s normal roles in romantic comedies. I am excited to see what she can do in a revenge role.
Uhm Tae Woong (Equator Man, An Introduction to Architecture), So Yi Hyun (Cheongdamdong Alice, Glowing She) and Kim Min Joon (Beloved, Wedding Scandal) are staring in the movie Top Star. It will be directed by actor Park Joong Hoon who has been in many movies. The release date is not out for this movie.
Tae Sik (Uhm Tae Woong) is the manager of super star Won Joo (Kim Min Joon) but then becomes a star himself who rivals Won Joo. Mi Na (So Yi Hyun) is a producer that incites both men.

Honestly, if Uhm Tae Woong is in it, then I will watch anything. He could stand in one place and recite the dictionary and I would watch it. Luckily he is a better actor than that. Also this movie sounds interesting.
Sung Yu Ri (Feast of the Gods, Romance Town), Yoo Joon Sang (Unexpected You, R2B), Kim So Hyun (Missing You, The Moon that Embraces the Sun), Lee Jin (The Great Seer, Man of Honor), Han Sang Jin (Horse Doctor, A Tree with Deep Roots) and child actress Kal So Won (Take Care of Us, Captain). The writer is Kim Kyu Wan who also wrote Piano and Cinderella’s Sister. It will be produced by Lee Sang Baek who also produced Spring Days. The drama begins on April 27 after Incarnation of Money.

I’m totally excited for this drama. It doesn’t sound like anything I have ever seen before, even with the amnesia and what not. Plus, I totally love Yu Ri!!

Yoon Kye Sang (The Greatest Love, Road Number One), and Park Shin Hye (Flower Boy Next Door, Heartstrings) will be staring in the short film, Love’s Rock-Paper-Scissors. This is directed by Kim Jee Woon who also directed the short film Hide and Seek as well as The Good, The Bad, The Weird. It is part of a project “Way to Nature Film Project celebrating Kolon Sport’s 49th anniversary. It will be released online by the end of April 2013.
Woon Cheol (Yoon Kye Sang) is a man who is unlucky in love but meets the perfect woman, Eun Hee (Park Shin Hye). There really isn’t much more on the story that I could find.
Sounds cute. Maybe they will sub it even if it is a short film to be released online.

Barefoot Friends
SBS has come up with a new variety show called Good Sunday-Barefoot Friends. The host will be Kang Ho Dong (Star King) and the PD is Jang Hyuk Jae (Family Outing). The cast members include Yoon Jong Shin (Hwasin), Yoo Se Yoon (Knee Drop Guru), Kim Bum Soo (ballad singer), Kim Hyun Joong (Playful Kiss, Boys Before Flowers), Yoon Si Yoon (Flower Boy Next Door, King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo), Eunhyuk (Super Junior, Strong Heart), and Uee (After School, Jeon Woo-Chi). It will begin broadcast on April 21, 2013.
For the first airing the cast will spend 3 nights and 4 days in Vietnam. They will be split into two teams of four members and will perform various missions. I read somewhere that they are also going to Laos.
It is just too daebak and I can’t wait for this variety show. I hope that someone subs it or I’m really going to have to get more serious about learning Korean.
