TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
B1A4's Baro (Cha Sun Woo) and former April member Lee Hyun Joo are both confirmed to lead the upcoming KBSN K-drama Kiss is the Beginning.
According to several media outlets on March 29, Baro and Lee Hyun Joo will be the protagonists of the upcoming K-drama The Beginning is a Kiss which will premiere within the year.
Both their agencies also confirmed their casting and asked fans to look forward to the new side they will show in the upcoming series.
The Beginning is a Kiss will be a romantic comedy series that will follow the first romance of three teenagers who are searching for love in the spring of that year.
Baro will bring life to the role of Hwang Gu. He is the male friend of Baek Il Rak, Lee Hyun Joo's character. He is the loyal childhood friend of Baek Il Rak who has seen and known everything about each other.
Lee Hyun Joo will play the role of Baek Il Rak. She is a new member of the Gaechun High School's broadcasting department. She dreams of having a special romance one day. She usually imagines herself being in a relationship with Kim Bom, a former basketball MVP from Apgujeong and also a famous student at Gaechun High School. Because of this, she ends up telling a great lie in the broadcasting department that will get her involved in an incident. The role of Kim Bom will be played by former NU'EST member, Kim Jong Hyeon.
The Beginning is a Kiss is scheduled to begin its production starting next month.
This will be the first K-drama of Baro for the year. Last year, the idol actor was also busy in several K-dramas and films. He was part of the series Grid, Reborn Rich, and the films Windmill and The Other Child. Baro is known for being part of the K-dramas Reply 1994, God's Gift: 14 Days, The Master of Revenge, Less Than Evil, Idol: The Coup, and more.
Meanwhile, this will be the grand comeback of Lee Hyun Joo to K-dramas. She was part of the cast of the 2021 K-drama Heartbeat Broadcasting Accident. Last year, she made a special appearance in the series The Witch Store Reopening. Just last week, it was officially announced that Lee Hyun Joo signed under a new agency. She will now be more active as an actress under Studio 1592.
