Ratings of "The Golden Spoon" and "One Dollar Lawyer" Plummet while "Bad Prosecutor" and "Under the Queen's Umbrella" get their All-Time High!

According to Nielsen Korea, the K-drama “Bad Prosecutor”, starring EXO’s D.O,  observed its highest ratings at 5.6% (Oct, 27). With 8 episodes down the lane, the viewership of the drama is only increasing.

And why wouldn’t it when this legal drama has a quirky male lead and a gripping storyline!

The ratings of The Golden Spoon rocketed from 5.6% (22, Oct) to 7.8% (28, Oct), but dropped to 4.7% on 29 Oct. The drama's ratings have fluctuated in the same pattern over the weeks- the first episode of the week getting higher ratings than its second episode of the week. But, Yook Sung Jae’s adventure fantasy continues to win hearts with each episode increasing our anticipation for the next.

And “One Dollar Lawyer”, starring  Namkoong Min, gets a nationwide average of 13.7% (29, Oct), a 0.9% drop from the previous week (14.6% on 22 Oct). The drama had a great start with 8.2% viewership and eventually acquired double-digit ratings from the 3rd episode. The announcement of cutting 2 episodes from the drama to offer a more satisfying plot,  has disheartened fans. Nevertheless, “One Dollar Lawyer” continues to dominate the ratings chart with its unlimited entertainment.

The dramas “The Golden Spoon” and “One Dollar Lawyer” air at the same time over different channels in Korea.

On the other hand, Park Min-Young’s tvN drama “Love In Contract” observed a slight increase from 2.7%(26, Oct) to 2.8% (27, Oct). The drama’s ratings have decreased over time. It gained the highest ratings on its first episode (3.9%). But despite its plummeting popularity among the Korean audience, it remains the most buzzworthy drama amongst international viewers with Google trends reporting a breakout for the drama.

KBS 2TV’s “Three Bold Siblings” retains its number one spot with an average nationwide rating of 18.8% (30, Oct). The drama has maintained double-digit ratings from the first episode, and is expected to join the list of highest-rated K-dramas of all time.

“Three Bold Siblings” is a family drama starring  Lee Ha Na and Im Joo Hwan among others,  that portrays the responsibilities of the eldest siblings in the family while they’re preoccupied with life burdens.

“Under the Queen’s Umbrella” casting Kim Hye Soo, Chani, Ok Ja Yeon, Moon Sang Min, and Choi Won Young among many other talented actors, has finally achieved its double-digit rating of 11.3% (30, Oct) making it a new-all time high. The drama has been creating a buzz and gaining attention due to Kim Hye-Soo’s fierce performance, the prowess of its cast, and the unique historical plot.

Congratulations to “Bad Prosecutor” and “Under The Queen’s Umbrella” for achieving their highest ratings yet!
