"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
Coupang TV is bringing a new original series, Family Plan.
Coupang TV announced on January 8 that they have finalized the casting of Family Plan and even commenced filming at the end of December 2023.
Family Plan tells the story of a group of people with special abilities who disguise themselves as family members in order to survive and use unique methods to defeat the vicious criminals who threaten them.
Han Young Soo, a mother who possesses special abilities and is kind to her children, will be portrayed by Bae Doo Na (The Silent Sea, Kingdom, Stranger, Broker, Next Sohee). Baek Cheol Hee, a timid father who hides his abilities but loves his wife dearly, will be played by Ryu Seung Beom (Moving).
Baek Yoon Shik (Noryang: Deadly Sea, Vagabond) plays the role of Baek Kang Seong, a grumpy grandfather who cares deeply about his family.
For the role of warm and gentle son Baek Ji Hoon, Lomon (Revenge of Others, All of Us Are Dead) has been cast, and Lee Soo Hyun will play the role of the prickly and sensitive daughter Baek Ji Woo.
Kim Jung Min, known for dramas such as Hush and Suits, is the scriptwriter of the K-drama.
Taking the directing duties are the twin brothers Kim Gok and Kim Sun.
Family Plan, featuring a fresh concept, unexpected twists, and a unique storyline, is scheduled to premiere on Coupang Play later this year. The release date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
