CNBLUE's Lee Jung Shin is in discussion to enter the world of 7 Escape Season 2.

On September 27, media outlet Dong-A reported that Lee Jung Shin will be joining the original cast in the second season of The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival. It was also stated that the idol actor is working hard on filming for the upcoming new season. There are no specific details yet regarding his character. 

Lee Jung Shin's agency FNC Entertainment hasn't responded to the circulating casting reports. 

7 Escape Season 2 will continue the story of the seven people who got involved in the disappearance of a girl. 

The upcoming new season will also be helmed by director Joo Dong Min and Kim Soon Ok

The first season The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival currently airs every Friday and Saturday. It will conclude in November of this year. 

The K-drama is being led by Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yoo Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, and more.

According to reports, 7 Escape Season 2 will premiere next year. It will exclusively premiere on SBS.

If Lee Jung Shin officially confirms his casting, this will be his comeback to K-dramas after two years. He last starred in the 2022 K-drama Sh**ting Stars with Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Kim Yoon Hye, Girls Day's Park So Jin, and Yoon Jong Hoon. He also made a special appearance in the Daum Kakao TV original K-drama Welcome to Wedding Hell.

Lee Jung Shin is known for being part of the K-dramas Summer Guys, Longing Heart, My Sassy Girl, Cinderella and the Four Knights, Temptation, Seo Yeong, My Daughter, and more. 

Next month, Lee Jung Shin will reunite with CNBLUE and BOICEs with their upcoming concert held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.
