Rising actor Kim Min Kyu will challenge his first historical K-drama genre through The Crown Prince Has Disappeared

On January 31, it was officially confirmed that Kim Min Kyu will be part of the cast of the upcoming MBN historical K-drama The Crown Prince Has Disappeared

This will be the first confirmed project of Kim Min Kyu for 2024. Last year, he starred in the K-drama Maestra: Strings of Truth with Lee Young Ae, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Young Jae, Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, Park Ho San, and Yang Jun Mo.

Kim Min Kyu made his acting debut in 2020. He has starred in various K-dramas such as The Fabulous, Backstreet Rookie, Pop Out Boy!, Lonely Enough to Love, Idol: The Coup, and more. 

He is also known as one of the contestants of the survival program Produce X 101. He trained for eight months as a K-pop idol before he fully ventured into acting.

Kim Min Kyu will be working with EXO's Suho, Hong Ye Ji, Myung Se Bin, and Yoo Se Rye in the upcoming K-drama. 

 The Crown Prince Has Disappeared is a romantic comedy historical K-drama that revolves around a crown prince and his kidnapper. The woman who abducted him is set to become the crown prince's wife. On their journey, romance will blossom between them.

Kim Min Kyu will portray the role of Grand Prince Do Sung. He is known for his dashing appearance, bubbly character, and martial arts skills. He will showcase his rough masculinity through archery and horseback riding. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Kim Jin Man (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People and Kill Me, Heal Me) and writers Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul

The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of the same writers of the K-drama Bossam: Steal the Fate, the highest rating of all time for MBN. 

 The Crown Prince Has Disappeared is set to air its first episode on March 9. It will exclusively premiere on MBN and it will be part of the broadcast channel's weekend K-drama timeslot.
