On February 3, industry insiders revealed that Lee Se Young has been cast in the upcoming webtoon based K-drama "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" (literal translation). According to reports, the actress will be the main lead of the modern and historical fusion K-drama.
Lee Se Young's agency Prain TPC shortly responded to the news that Lee Se Young has been selected as the main lead of the upcoming K-drama. According to the management, "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" is one of the projects that Lee Se Young is currently reviewing.
Almost every year, Lee Se Young stars in at least one K-drama. If the actress confirms her casting, this will possibly be her 2023 project. Last year, Lee Se Young starred in the k-drama "The Law Cafe" with Lee Seung Gi, Oh Dong Min, Kim Nam Hee, Kim Seul Gi, and Ahn Dong Goo.
Lee Se Young started her acting career since she was a child. She made her acting debut in 1996. She is known for being part of the K-dramas "Jewel in the Palace," "Missing You," "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop," "A Korean Odyssey," "The Crowned Clown," "Doctor John," "Kairos," "The Red Sleeve," and more.
"The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" will base its story from the webtoon of the same name. The fantasy romance K-drama will revolve around a woman from Joseon who will time travel to the modern times and meets the man who looks exactly like her late husband.
According to reports, Lee Se Young will portray the role of Park Yeon Woo, a strong young woman from the Joseon era who will travel to the present times.
