Jo Bo Ah, Lee Jae Wook, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Jae Wook will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama Song of the Geomungo: Golden Swallow.

According to Netflix on September 20, Jo Bo Ah, Lee Jae Wook, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Jae Wook are all confirmed to work together for the upcoming mystery melodrama that will be adapted on the novel of the same name. 

Song of the Geomungo: Golden Swallow will tell the story of a family that became wealthy merchants because of an art trade. It is set in the late Joseon Dynasty. It will showcase the story of the son who mysteriously returns after disappearing and his half-sister who seeks the truth. The upcoming K-drama will base its story on the novel of the same name by Jang Da Hye.

The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Kim Hong Seon. He is known for creating K-dramas Decoy: Part 1, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area - Part 1, L.U.C.A.: The Beginning, The Guest, and more. 

Lee Jae Wook will play the role of Hong Rang. He is the son of Shim Yeol Guk who returned mysteriously after 12 years of missing. After missing for 12 years, Hong Rang returns with a secret.

Jo Bo Ah will play the role of Jae Yi, she actively looks for her half-brother Hong Rang. Jo Bo Ah falls in love with Hong Rang despite her suspecting that the Hong Rang who returned is fake. 

Jung Ga Ram will portray the role of Myjin. He is the adopted son of Shim Yeol Guk. He replaced Hong Rang in the family after he disappeared. 

Uhm Ji Won will give life to the character named Min Yeon Ui, the wife of Shim Yeol Guk. She will do everything just to find her missing son Hong Rang.

Park Byung Eun will portray the role of Shim Yeol Guk. He is the biological father of Hong Rang and Jae Yi. He is ambitious and cold.

Lastly, Kim Jae Wook will play the role of Grand Prince Han Pyeong, the only brother of the king who doesn't have an interest in anything regarding the palace.
