Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Pyo Ye Jin is in discussion to star in the ENA webtoon-based K-drama The Moon that Rises in the Day.
Media outlets reported on March 20 that Pyo Ye Jin has been selected as the female lead of the upcoming K-drama The Moon that Rises in the Day.
Pyo Ye Jin's agency Secret Entertainment gave their statement regarding the reports. According to the agency, Pyo Ye Jin did receive the offer and she is positively reviewing it.
If Pyo Ye Jin confirms her casting, she will be working alongside Kim Young Dae who got the offer to be the male lead.
The Moon that Rises in the Day will base its story on the popular webtoon of the same name by Hye Yoom. It will tell the story of a man whose time stopped and a woman who can travel to the past and present times.
Pyo Ye Jin will reportedly play the role of Kang Young Hwa. She is the 19th reincarnation of Han Rita who has a one-sided love for Han Min Oh. Han Min Oh is the character offered to Kim Young Dae.
There are no official details yet on the premiere date and the broadcast channel of the upcoming K-drama.
Pyo Ye Jin is currently starring in the hit K-drama Taxi Driver Season 2 with Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Jang Hyuk Jin, Bae Yoo Ram, and Shin Jae Ha. She is also part of the tvN ongoing series Our Blooming Youth.
If the actress decided to star in The Moon that Rises in the Day, this will be her second upcoming K-drama. She will also star in the series The Devil.
This will also possibly be the first time since debut that Pyo Ye Jin will be the main lead in a romance K-drama. Pyo Ye Jin has starred in several K-dramas such as Taxi Driver, V.I.P, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, While You Were Sleeping, Fight for My Way, Marriage Contract, and more.
